I have this headcannon where Frank goes through a gender-crisis in the calmest way and it goes like this:

Frank: do you guys think I could be a girl?

Percy:

Percy: something u wanna talk bout frank?

Frank: I mean if I can shape-shift into any animal, and humans are animals, is it possible

Annabeth: so a more in theory then gender crisis? Have you thought about being a girl sometimes Frank?

Hazel: what’s a gender crisis?

Frank: well yea but I also think about not being a boy or a girl, just Frank y’know

Annabeth: keeps buying books but just rereads the same books (yes its fanfic)

Hazel: announcing any animal she sees out loud, sees a bird? “BIRD!”

Nico: hates sweatpants, makes his legs hot and the texture is gross (blame it on the Mediterranean genes)

Will: resting bitch face Ik this man zones out like crazy thinking about dumb shit and everyone thinks hes mad (got asked this one to often)

Grover: keeps the bottle caps/tabs of his drinks (i keep mine in a jar)

If Zagreus was in PJO:

For context let me explain who Zagreus is first as his actual myth gets confused with the Hades game lore. Zagreus is the som of Zeus and Persephone (pre-Hades relationship) and he was considered Zeus’s favourite son, he was even considered as the next heir of Olympus. Hera ofc got angry ans sent out the titans to rip Zagreus apart but because Zeus mourned so much, he had Zagreus be reborn as Dionysus or reborn by Semele.

So this can go down two roads, Zagreus as Dionysus, or Zagreus reborn as his own God. If Zagreus was reborn as Dionysus in the PJOverse it would explain why he is so close to Nico. Why mr.D actually calls Nico by his legitimate name, because they are step-brothers. It could also explain a bit more why Mr. D was punished, beyond fawning for a wood nymph he want supposed to. Zeus probably couldn’t bare to see the son he once loved so much turn into the God of Chaos so he kept on banishing and punishing Dionysus throughout his life.

And as we know in the PJOverse the greek and roman gods can swap between those figures of themselves, and in telling of Zagreus/Dionysus they can also switch forms from a Burley bearded man, to a young fit man. Its also canonical Mr. D chooses to look rugged, so whenever he does appear as a more younger handsome man, could that just be Zagreus? But then their is also the other statement, what if Zagreus was reborn as his own god?

As I said earlier, Zeus would probably hate to face his son that he once loved so much, and fears Hera would kill him again so he sends Zagreus to the underworld to live with his mother and Hades as his new stepdad. Both Nico and Zagreus having a rocky relationship with their step-god parent would a a strong reason for them to meet each other as they are brothers from another mother. But with Zagreus living in the Underworld, he could help out Nico going back to tartarus under Hades nose to save Bob.

So, a little less than a month year ago (this is all my fault, I take sole responsibility for this loooong delay), I got roped into reading The Trials Of Apollo by @flightfoot’s amazing meta. I loved it more than I could have ever anticipated, and I’ve been gushing about it non stop to her on discord. We had a lot of fun reviewing the series and taking it apart to overanalyze bit by bit, marveling at the way it keeps growing layers and dimensions the longer one looks at it. Finally, we took out a google doc. The following is result n.3 of our combined excited ramblings, and… well it sort of turned into a full on dissertation. Whoops.

I miss Jason. I know everyone is saying he died for a purpose, it’s good cuz rick is showing that his characters have flaws and they can die, no relationship is perfect... but like I miss Jason. And jasiper. I miss that too :,(

Oh gods!

The five types of protagonist as I see them:

hero; the morally sound, loyal, good hearted characters who are normally cinnamon rolls or sunshine children. Normally depicted in media as the goodest of good golden retriever wonderful human being, or sass machine that survives off of spite but is genuinely kind anyways even if they have a rough exterior. Yes, there is an in between.

anti-hero: A person with good intentions/goals/ideals who goes about defending justice in a way that is not socially acceptable. AKA the person who goes "murder is okay with probable cause" or responds to someone kicking puppies by chopping off the leg the person used to kick those puppies. There is a vast set of characterizations for these guys.

Villain: The bastard. Their self awareness is either akin to that of a sponge, or they are extremely self aware and don't really give a shit. They have bad morals, horrid ideals, and achieve their goals commonly through murder. The "I'm doing this for the betterment of humanity!" (they're ending the world because they had a bad childhood) or "I know exactly what I'm doing is wrong and by God I am going to do it in the most fashionably melodramatic way possible."

Anti-villain: Bad ideals, bad morals, hurts/gaslights people often, but does it in a way that actually paints them in a heroic light. These are the people whom you either don't know they're evil until it's too late, or whom can convince you of absolutely anything even if you know the opposite to be true.

Lester/Apollo from toa: I think you know what I'm talking about if you've read the books, this man is in a category of his own.
