What does mari do to spend time with her dads?
Carmelo takes her to the park and they just hang out, she loves to spend time with him the most :)
With Tobias, it’s a little different. They don’t spend too much time together, but when they do, it is very meaningful for the both of them. Usually Marianne is the one to make the first step and offer to hang out with Tobias. It is usually scrapbooking.
Do Carmelo’s parents find out about Carmelo’s bullying? How do they respond?
They do not! They have no idea about it. But they do see a change in him after hanging out with Tobias. They notice he is kinder and gentler.

When he first moved in, what were the biggest differences Tobias noticed between his house and Carmelo’s?
Tobias noticed that the atmosphere was completely different. He always felt like his house was cold and dim. Despite having many siblings, his house was very quiet in the mornings.
His first morning at Carmelo’s house, he was shocked. His mom was up early, making breakfast and listening to music in the kitchen. Carmelo was already out of bed and watching TV downstairs. The house felt warm and welcoming.
At what age did they adopt Marianne? What’s her relationship to her grandparents like?
They adopted her when they were in their early 30’s ! They have a very good relationship !! She is always asking to go to her grandparents, and they love having her around. She does start to ask about Tobias’s side of the family though. It’s an uncomfortable topic.
Cute headcanon time. Carmelo likes photography and Tobias is his muse, so he takes photos of him all the time even when Tobias thinks he's not pretty enough in the picture Carmelo loves them and likes to keep them because they slow Tobias when he's truly happy.

Tobias is suuuper shy when it comes to pictures, he has never eeever liked them… And Carmelo would love to take pictures to document their friendship, since he did that with all his friends !!! (Carmelo would be that one person who cannot just live in the moment and has to take like 10 million pictures of everything) And at first , Tobias would be super uncomfortable like bro what is ur problem ……. And then once he starts getting closer to Carm , he would be like ohhh okay this isn’t so bad !!! so throughout the pictures you could slowly see Tobias get more and more comfortable with Carmelo ^_^

he regresses to ages 3-6 usually! He likes to finger paint, have Carmelo read to him, put on plays, and nap.
Could you tell us more about Tobias’s dog? Where and when did he get him? How does Carmelo feel about him?
Yes, ofc! Tobias found him on his way home from work! He immediately brought him home and beggedddddd Carmelo to let them keep him. Carmelo said yes, of course, but made Tobias promise to do a lot of research. He knew that Tobi didn’t know how to take care of a dog. To find his name, he just looked up “cutest male dog names” and picked the one that he liked the most. Which is Louieeeee!!!

Does Tobias ever spend any time with Carmelo’s dad? If so, what do they normally do together?
Occasionally ! He is usually working, but when he has the time, he will try to bond with him! Tobias likes to rant to him about school, and Emilio, and things that are troubling him. They usually just sit on the couch and watch TV together though.
Since therapy didn't really work out for Tobi does he like journal or something maybe writes little songs about his feelings.
he journals sometimes! It helps him a bit. He also likes to scrapbook! He loves looking through old magazines and cutting out pieces to glue into his journal.
Is Tobias still religious after leaving or not due to it possibly being a traumatic topic from his father.
No, he is not! It is a very triggering topic for him. He avoids it heavily, but sometimes has breakdowns due to it.
Feel like Tobias would LOVE Tim Burton movies, he gives off the vibe of a Tim Burton character due to how many times he's been called weird, freak, or creepy. He has pale skin so pale he has no color in his cheeks, dark hair, very wide eyes, etc.
HE DOES !!!! he loves them , mostly for how they are made. He is a huge fan of the style and animation.

How does Lucas know about Carmelo? Did Tobias tell him they were friends or did Luther tell him where he was staying?
He would have to get permission from Lucas to stay after school with Carmelo, or go places together. Tobi and Carmelo like to spend time in the library after school.
What gifts do Carmelo and Tobias get each other for their anniversary? I feel like Carmelo would get Tobias flowers for some reason like some deep red roses.
They both get each other flowers!!! Tobias gets Carmelo a bouquet of sunflowers, while Carmelo gets Tobi a mix of red, white, and pink roses. (Tobias had to get help from Carmelo’s mom cause he had noooo idea what people get on anniversaries…) Carmelo also gets Tobias some chocolate, of course.

They really miss him. They are sad that they don’t know how he is doing, what happened to him, or if he is even still alive.
He does, but thinks that they are only friends.

They like to have their own time together, just the two of them. Carmelo’s mom would take him to thrift stores, fun restaurants, places that Carmelo went to growing up. She tells him little stories about Carmelo as well, and Tobias loves hearing them.
Does Tobias still read Emilio's journal during the field trip? And does anyone ever try to read it again?
yes, he does! No, nobody tries to read it again, but the thought of what could be in the journal freaks Tobias out. He desperately wants to know, but is scared to find out what else is written about him or Carmelo.

He is very protective over the people he cares about, very jealous as well.

Doesn’t like to wear short sleeve shirts. He likes the feeling of his arms being covered, and he also just doesn’t know what to do with his arms half of the time. He thinks they look awkward just dangling there. So the long sleeves help.

they do, actually! They meet for coffee once in a while. They are peaceful with each other. Not exactly friends, but not enemies either.

Carmelo’s favorite thing about Tobias is how gentle he is. People always assume that Tobi is violent and irrational, which he can be! But Carmelo loves that he gets to see the side of Tobias that is loving and calm.
Tobias’s favorite thing about Carmelo is his strength. He is so happy to have met such a good guy. he loves that Carmelo is a nice person without being a pushover, or being too aggressive. There’s so much that they love about each other :)
