I was just about to sleep but then I got an idea for a Stanley Parable theory.
Ok here me out: the narrator is Stanley
The “Narrator” is a man who works in an office pushing buttons, and uses Stanley as a self insert of sorts (maybe that just is him) to go on these adventures in his maladaptive daydreams.
If this sounds far fetched, the exact thing has been done before in another game which I don’t want to spoil but I will give the name of if asked.
If this is the case, maybe the narrator has intrusive thoughts/trouble controlling his thoughts; this would explain endings where the narrator doesn’t want anything to happen but Stanley disobeys anyway (Zending, Skip button, etc.)
Like I said before, I was just about to sleep so I’m a bit tired. I just think it’s a neat concept.

Just played tsp for the first time yesterday oh goooddd this is good. No, I mean, I knew it's gonna be good but I didn't think it would be LIKE THAT?? Like, that's more than just breaking the 4th wall, it's getting rid of it at the very beginning and talking to the player DIRECTLY directly. Complete lack of rules. They broke fucking everything that could be broken. There's also yaoi. How better can it be???
