Pretty fucking scummy move by ANYCOLOR Inc. in not appropriately handling Yugo Asuma’s termination. All the vagueness in their statement is just going to inspire distrust between themselves, their livers, and their fans. If Yugo’s liver did something awful, why weren’t we told what? What could he have done that demands immediate termination and not a suspension? People would at least understand if they knew HOW or WHY. From my understanding, he has not publicly done anything warranting a ‘graduation’(he got fired, just say he got fired) and has been a positive influence on the English Vtubing space.
The Yuguys didn’t even get to mourn, as his existence has been scraped from all his socials. I’m writing this only THREE HOURS after they announced it. I don’t even think his genmates have gotten the chance either, as based on the rest of NOCTYX’s tweets it doesn’t look like anyone was aware of the incoming graduation?
I hope any aspiring ANYCOLOR Inc. collaborators take a good look at this situation, and remember it if they want to audition or join a company. I think this killed any remaining dream I had of joining Niji, because why the fuck would I when they treat both their employees and fans like this? Be transparent and clear when you are taking such firm action, have people understand why it was needed in the first place. Until we get some answers, all I can think was that management had a bone to pick with Yugo’s liver and tossed him as soon as they could. Maybe he knew it was coming, I mean his last tweet was this:
Yugo was the highlight of any collab he was in. unabashedly sweet, and was always aiming for bigger and better streams. I hope the person behind Yugo is doing the best they can, and that they return to streaming when they are ready.
And because some people will need this reminder and it cannot be stressed enough, please don’t fucking pester any NIJI livers or any associated individuals about this, especially Fulgur Ovid as he’s the only Noctyx member currently not on break. None of them have control over this, and they deserve time to grieve a friendship. If you want to yell, yell at ANYCOLOR INC. Blast their garbage twitter statements, their emails, anything of their non-liver channels. This shouldn’t be how NIJIEN’s first ‘graduation’ went.
