Callista: Do you care if I take the skin off this Furby?
Callista: I want to make him an outlier tribute. Once he is free of his fluffy, innocent and ignorant flesh, he may be long time lovers with insanity. He won't dare to leave me like others did.
Hera: I literally could not care less but never say anything as frightening as that ever again.
Therapist: Alright, now what do we say when we feel this way?
Nero: It'd be like that sometimes.
Callista: Hoe's mad.
Emory: *laughs nervously* I'm fine.
Devon: Don't de sad because sad backwards is das and das not good.
Lyme: Today feels like a good day to deadlift twice my bodyweight.
Brutus: Less depressy and more progressy.
Adessa: Mercury retrograde, my dear.
Iris: So no one told me life was gonna be this way. *slow clapping*
Misha: *incoherent laughing*
Claudius: Add to cart.
Enobaria: Welcome back to the shit show!
Ronan: Mood.
Petra: I don't have to say shit!
Therapist: ...this is far more serious than I had thought.
Lyme: Fuck.
Adessa: Language!
Brutus: Yeah, watch your fucking language.
Luna: Alright, which one of you taught the fuck word to Odin!?
Iris: 'The fuck word', you say.
Emory: Are y'all stupid? Y'all using the f-word all the time.
Enobaria:
Hera:
Nero:
Petra: Oh my Snow she censored it.
Ronan: Please do not-
Misha: Say fuck, Emory.
Callista: Do it, little one. Say fuck.
Devon: What's fuck?
Misha: Oh no, it's contagious.
Nero's mother died in childbirth therefore he never tasted how does a mother's love feels like and this is the main reason why he wants to hug Adessa; to have an older woman figure who care about him and embraces him, not in a sexual way his cougars does.
Callista is ambidextrous, like, come on, two hands are better when it comes to scissoring.
In my canon, Iris is half-deaf because of her Arena so when she was younger, Ronan made a special language only she and him knew. They still use it sometime.
When Enobaria was little, she thought the life she is in wasn't the real life, or rather wasn't the actual life, and it made her outrageous and daring because why act so boring if you know you will come to this world again? This, however, fadeaway when she taste the blood for the first time; she never wanted to leave.
One time, out of curiousity, Lyme slapped Brutus on top of his head because it was suspiciously shiny.
According to Adessa, she'd make an excellent cardiologist.
Emory's name is a combination of her mothers -kind of- because it's cute.
Petra was that little sister who dreamed about crashing her brothers skull to the wall, but she means it and would likely suceed in this matter.
Odin ate one of Adessa's roses just to mess with her, apparently he really achieved his target that he still has a crooked finger.
Odin: A fly went to my ear! It's going to eat my brain!
Adessa: It will starve.
Court: I hereby sentence you for 68 years in prison.
Misha: *smirks, whispers to Lyme's ear*
Lyme: *sighs* My Victor has requested you add one more year.
Today is my birthday so I decided to make birthday headcannons for some of the victors. I know celebrating birthdays isn't a thing in Panem but who cares. Have fun.
Ronan: In my headcannon, he is from a rebellious family who got executed but him; so I believe he wouldn't celebrate it that exaggeratedly. Maybe with drawing a cake on the floor with chalks and blowing it.
Iris: Also in my headcannon, her family was a deceitful one- they planned her to go through Games but never gave a hint for that- but this doesn't mean they ignored the day of her existence. However, her birthday is on the day before Harvest so giving her a handmade dress and an album just for her would be the best it ever gets.
Adessa: Her birthday's are the only times her parents cuddled her in bed and just had a family quality time- it's not like they don't love her, it's just the way their family worked- and gave her a gift she told them to buy and that's why there is a fake skeleton in her childhood room.
Odin: A formal dinner with his family where he sits on the starts of the table, a sign of growth or something like that in his family's views. He also got to meet with Two's leaders as his parents were close to them. Basically his birthdays were an excuse for his parents to make him go through life experiences.
Callista: Think of Dudley Dursley but without the whining; that's Callista on her birthdays. Lots of gifts from her parents and the society. She likes being pampered and getting reminded that she is special.
Emory: All of her quarry knowledge should have come from somewhere! Even though her parents were not very affectionate, little Emory would be so happy with her father talking about what he knows and her mother showing her more tricky moves while fighting on her birthday.
Devon: Growing up, his family never had much so his brothers making him something special with mud and grass and who knows what would feel wholesome. Or having a family walk around the area they lived.
Callista: The risk we took was carefully calculated.
Nero: Calli, we almost died!
Callista: I never said I was good at math.
Misha: I bet you did not do anything illegal.
Emory: You're wrong; once I sat on a chair which has a writing on it said 'do not sit'.
Misha:
Emory: I still have nightmares about getting caught sometimes.
So, I thought it would be nice to write about the Victor's Arena's for fun and, you know, pain to my favourites. I did not wrote everyone in detail since some of them were already said, though I tried to extend as much as I could.
All the character rights go to @lorata, I am only responsible for the traumas I caused for her Victors.
Enough rambling, here it is:
Ronan (16th Games)
A desert or somewhere with a lack of water. His year definitely was a flashback of war and Dark Days and really, really horrible. He was like a squeezed balloon in the end, all the aggression, misery, bloodlust gone and just wanted to get out and...just exist.
Caius (17th Games)
An airship because in my headcanon, Caius admired when his parents taking him away with them with a plane trip which was about a family vacation (though he did not knew it was for escaping from war) and wanted to be a pilot. In a modern world, he would have, but it's Panem so he will get one melancholy Arena which brings painful, forgotten memories.
Iris (20th Games)
I wrote about it here but I'll quickly summarise that without spoiling much. Her Arena was an ocean with ice sheets on it and most of the tributes either got hypothermia or a monster coming after them if they are alone. After winning her Arena, Iris got half deaf and she had a very upsetting things happened to her constantly.
Luna (27th Games)
Mental asylum because why not? My version of Luna is quite Enobaria-like (especially about Iris) and her parents were not the best which I wrote about it. In her Arena, the tributes were placed in a room (three separate rooms with only one weapon in them) which their characteristics were match just to cause a lot more psychological pain since they would recall their past AND a sign to districts that Snow knows everything, even their favourite food.
Adessa (29th Games)
Abandoned laboratory for irony. Obviously she was marvelled about how interesting was it and for a moment she thought killing in here was a waste -only for a moment, dear- but then with the first blood she spilled, she easily got into the game. Her dissecting a tribute in the end was her plan and she got the gadgets for that- a win-win for her. Her Arena would be one of the most interesting for Two's since the Abbot's (Adessa's family, which I also created and she is/was a part of them so ~instant fame.
Hera (31st Games)
An aquarium. That year was definitely in favour of Four but she is Callista the Butcher's future mentor, she won't go down that quick. She stayed quiet and hid away from the tributes, made them believe she was drowned before last 5 days. She killed the last tribute with stabbing them with the broken glass of the aquarium, strike after strike, until they were a bloody mess. Needles to say she got her demons out of her.
Odin (32nd Games)
His was a normal, indoor one -as normal as Panem can get- and was all about staying alive and defeat the other tributes, or that's what they thought. The Arena was getting smaller at each day and triggered a lot of claustrophobia, even from the ones who did not have that. In the end he got a crown and a lost eyeball.
Callista (41st Games)
Calli's games were all about sex and blood and torture so I thought a brothel with a lot of sex-toys-turned-into-weapons would be great for her. In her Arena, she was not quick, obviously, and had the least kill count on the first day- it got better (worse for others) after that. She tried to be calm about her killings on the first day -just a stab in the heart, guts, or wherever the fuck she wanted, depends on her mood- but then a feeling came over her and she smeared innards into snow and make a pretty picture of it AND made sure no one attacked her during it.
Nero (42nd Games)
His games were the ones with no weapons so an apocalypse Arena for our Nero. There were loads of volcanoes, natural disasters at best and not enough food. From the Hunger Games canon, the cannibal tribute Titus (?) would exists in this Arena and became one of Nero's victims, thankfully. Though he did not like what he did, he was in relief that it all end and he will get love and hugs- oh. (Unless it turns into my Rock, Misery and Hugs which Adessa and Nero hugged for five times)
Brutus (49th Games)
Like Odin's, it was pretty simple and was described in To Love a Beast, so I will take that and add a memory erasing bomb which affected him partially- he heard voices he did not recognise and stuff like that.
Emory (52nd Games)
Her Arena was indoors and was in favour for outer districts so I thought it might be a house full of riddles and logical thinking must be required. The weapons were hidden in tricky places so most of the tributes choked one another or pressed on their throats. There were no windows so Emory's and tribute's understanding of time were limited.
Lyme (55th Games)
A survival Arena, nothing much to be done for others when Careers were all active and had Lyme as their leader. She was stealthy enough to sneak out from their tent and find undiscovered weapons and use them against the Pack in the end.
Artemisia (57th Games)
An Arena so much like Centre, it raised a flame of cockiness and the strong belief that she will win- or this would be the scenario if Six kept it in his pants but oh well, Misha is a though nut to crack weaklings.
Devon (60th Games)
A factory with lots of deadly machines to fight with. No weapons but if you're smart enough, you can create one as the mindset. Alas, he could not because there wasn't enough wood so he kissed people and slit their throats with a nail clipper.
Enobaria (62nd Games)
A jungle full of mysteries and poison and full of tactics. Bari was not the flashiest one in her games and most assumed she would die, until she proved herself with killing 5 tributes in Bloodbath. In her final fight, she was weaponless -weak- and her instincts got over and she bared her teeth and teared the boy's throat apart.
Claudius (67th Games)
All kids except for Careers as we know and I pretty much liked it so I do not have much to add except for some kids cuddling each other when they were sticky with blood.
Petra (72nd Games)
An apartment with three floors and wicked weapons. Petra was not a fool to not to notice the ends of her signature weapon was poisonous so she choose to use a weapon she had not excel with- which caused her trainers smack their foreheads but she got survived in the end, and it's all that matters.

Odin: I'm kind of crushing on someone, but I'm worried about telling you who it is, because you're not going to like it.
Luna: Just rip the bandage off.
Odin: It's Hera.
Luna: Put the bandage back on.
Caius: Why is Ronan so sad?
Luna: He took one of those 'Which Capitol Person Are You' quizzes.
Caius:..And?
Luna: He got President Snow.
Emory: It's your turn to wash dishes.
Petra: I'LL WASH THE DISHES WITH YOUR BLOOD.
Emory: 'kay but before that, wash the dishes, also use soap this time?
Alec: Do you take constructive criticism?
Selene: I only take cash or credit
Ronan: Are you sure this is best for our country?
President Snow: Certainly, I am as sure as I am honest.
Ronan, mutters: If that's the case, we are definitely fucked up.
Random mentor-victor moments because I am ridiculously attached to them. Also this is extremely self-indulgent, just to warn you.
The victory trumpets were loud and sharp. Cutting through the air just like how she cut through tributes 9 years ago.
𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵, Iris thought. Not that she ever doubt about Adessa. However, years and years of loss tends to make you pessimistic.
After the Victory Announcement, Iris went to the aircraft to welcome their-her- newest Victor.
"She is still working on her last tribute ma'am" says the security guard, looking a bit uneasy. This does not make sense. Adessa won, she saw it, everyone saw how the last tribute got stabbed over and over, as if going through a surgery. Kind of.
"And you didn't done anything about it?"
"She refused, said she would call us back for clean towels."
So they waited.
When they got face to face for the first time after weeks, they are in a hospital.
"Well," Adessa starts as she sits up on the patient bed. "This was not how I expected things would turn out."
"What did you expect, then?" Iris asks, curious but not too curious, in a tone does not spread warmth nor coldness. The whole point of mentorship is making sure your victor is safe and sane, no attachment towards them.
𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯.
"I have always wondered how our bodies looked like under our skin. This was my only chance, but I could not see properly. There was too much blood, pretty but unnecessary. It was barely possible to see the innards in detail."
"But you have an idea about what does it look like, right?"
"Yes, I do. And it is not a problem to not see the details, I know the digestive system so I already had some guesses. It is just fascinating to see them in person and not in a textbook."
"I am sure it is." Iris said, she was unsure about how this conversation will end and it's impacts in future. She knew Adessa was smart and afraid that she would not respect her. So far Iris did well. "If you want we have a library and few places where you can explore and learn everything without making people with weak stomach upset."
Adessa grins, and it is bright as well as absolutely terrifying.
Maybe it won't be so bad after all.

When she imagined her victory, she did not imagine it like this. Her victory was supposed to bring glory to her district. Make Two happy.
However, fate had different intentions for her.
All the things she did, going through Residental and volunteering for a 14-year-old girl, got ripped off from her as she decleared as a Victor.
One who won with default.
She failed.
Except she did not, that's what Brutus says. She is strong, kind and a winner like all of them are.
Emory finds it too hard to believe.
She wanted to watch the next games but her mentor would not let her. Saying that they have different plans.
Brutus packs nothing but knives and camp related things. He broughts them to a wooden house with a lake in front of it.
She turns her head to him and gives him a smile. Because he deserves it, he is a good mentor and deserved a better Victor than her-
No. These bad thoughts are a waste of time and brings nothing but misery.
"We will spend our summer here." says Brutus taking her attention back to him. "You know fresh air, swimmimg and stuff."
"Can you swim?" Emory asks and it's hilarious to imagine Brutus try to swim with all his bulk.
"No. Never tried to. But I remember you saying that you can."
She nods and recalls the days she went to lake near to her parents' house. How water every time managed to make her feel like flying.
She puts her foot in water, testing it's temperature. It's fresh and welcoming. Offering her to dive in and feel free.
First time in months, Emory feels alive.

𝘉𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭.
As the blood trickled down from the cut she made, Callista admired it once more.
If her mentor was here, she would scowl at her and take the knife from her hands. Hera cares about her, how cute. She did not missed her Arena, hers was boring. No one was a real challenge. Not even the Pack. Everyone fell apart in Callista's hands, no scream, no movement and not even a spit.
But their bloods painted the floor. From bright red to maroon, dripping down from her machets. And she missed that. Oh, she missed it so much.
She puts the knife back into her sleeve to hide it. Very satisfied with herself.
"So, should I ask or will you answer me, Calli." And oh. Hera stands there tall and with a neutral face.
𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴, 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨?
"Not important." she shruggs, in a manner which people becomes impatient and explodes. She loves that.
"Really?" Hera's voice is measured and she looked intimidating for an outsider. Not to Callista. Never for Callista. " The scars on your wrists makes me thing otherwise."
"Your mind plays with you then, I did not expect you to be delusional."
"I think you are the one being delusional now. Calli," she says softly and well, she does not like that. Visible affection is disgusting. Hera walks towards her and sits down next to her, on the bathroom floor. Hera pulls Callista over her and runs her fingers through her hair, tilting her chin so that they can stare each other's eyes.
Something warm spreads in her body. "If something happens you don't need to hide from me. You're my Victor, and I don't care what everyone else thinks about you, you're precious to me."
"I know that." Callista snorts but still leans on her mentor. "You are precious to me too." When Hera smiles, she realizes something. "Don't tell this to anyone, I don't want anyone to think I'm a puppy."
"You are not. You are more like a cat." she tooks her hand and make her stand up.
"Shut up." Callista says, half-joking. Even though she does not understand Hera, she is one of the few people who can control her.
Make her feel more special than she already is.
Store Worker: Would Miss Emory please come to the front desk?
Emory, arriving at the desk: Hello, is there a problem?
Store Worker: *points to Misha and Devon*
Store Worker: I believe they belong to you?
Misha and Devon, simultaneously: We got lost :(
Emory: I didn't even brought you guys here with me-
*Everyone is standing around the broken coffee maker*
Adessa: So. Who broke it? I'm not mad I just wanna know.
Everyone:
Emory: ...I did. I broke it.
Adessa: No. No you didn't. Callista?
Callista: Don't look at me. Look at Nero.
Nero: What? I didn't break it either.
Callista: Huh, that's weird. How did you know it was broken?
Nero: Because it's infront of us and it's broken.
Callista: Suspicious.
Nero: No it's not!
Brutus: If it matters, probably not, but Misha was the last one who use it.
Misha: Liar! I don't even drink that crap!
Brutus: Oh really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?
Misha: I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that, Brutus!
Emory: Okay, let's not fight. I broke it. Let me pay for it, Adessa.
Adessa: No! Who actually broke it?
Everyone:
Devon:...Odin's been awfully quiet.
Odin: Really?!
*Everyone starts arguing*
Adessa, being interviewed: I broke it. I burned my hand so I accidentally punched it.
Adessa: I predict 10 minutes from now they will be at each other's throats with warpaints on their faces and a pig head on a stick.
Adessa:
Adessa: Good. It was getting a little chummy around here.

Artemisia, mockingly: Is IT mE MiSha?
Odin: I bet even you can't make a sentence without using the letter 'a'.
Adessa: You thought you did something very intelligent this time, did you? Well, sorry to burst your bubble, Odin . Numerous sentences could be constructed without even uttering the first letter of the English lexicon!
Odin:
Odin: Edesse.
Odin: Wot?
Adessa: If you bite it and you die, it's poisonous. If it bites you and you die, it's venomous.
Odin: What if it bites me and it dies?
Hera: Then you're poisonous Odin, learn to listen.
Brutus: What if it bites itself and it dies?
Callista: That's voodoo.
Iris: What if it bites me and someone else dies?
Ronan: That's correlation, not causation.
Nero: What if we bite each other and neither of us die?
Callista: That's kinky.
Adessa: I'm done with all of you.
Eibhlin: Can I get some dating advice from you?
Beetee: Just because I'm with Adessa does not necessarily means I know how I did it.
Claudius: Would you stab your best friend for ten million dollars?
Brutus: Stab me in the leg. And when I heal, we can buy a big-ass house!
Lyme: You can stab me too. Then we will have twenty million dollars!
Brutus: Great idea.
