I've been so busy this past week so here's a character ref in the meantime! This is Hellebores!
He was born in the Rainforest Kingdom with his mother. Hellebores never met his father, and his absence in Hellebores' life has caused him to despise Nightwings. His mother became distant and forgetful with his father's absence, even forgetting to feed Hellebores on many occasions. To get away from this, he tried to spend most of his time away from home only to face more problems. Hellebores didn't fit in with anybody. When he was 4, Hellebores decided to run away and ended up joining the Black Talon, an organization of mercenaries and assassins, using murder as a way to vent his frustrations and anger.

Another one of my pixel fullbody attacks! I've grown to really like doing pixel art. I feel like it helps me look at the big picture instead of getting tunnel visioned by minor details. This attack was on Rose_thorn_ on Artfight ^^

Yay I'm finally happy with this design and *finally* learned to post on my phone (I'm stupid) so i'm finally going to post more now that I don't need a Pc!
Anyway. The only reason she's a Nightwing hybrid is because I without any shame adopted (and with permission) @femmekinkajou's design for Nightwings I really wanted to make her that body type but I wanted these colors so sue me! It's my character and I didn't care >:3
Also I forgot to put her flags (shame on you Lonnie), so they're aroace like me!

"What about me?" Glory asked.
Kestrel shifted her wings in a shrug. "I have no idea. Webs scrounged you up somewhere after we lost the SkyWing egg. I never cared where, because I knew you weren't important."
"Oh, go away!" Tsunami burst out. "Everything you say is hurtful and mean."
"Everything I say is true," Kestrel said.
"I don't think you'd be good for me," Peril said, staring up at her. "I never imagined you like this."
Kestrel hunched her shoulders. "I am the way life has made me. Take it or leave it."
I genuinely don't understand anyone who says that Kestrel could've had a "redemption arc." Her response to her own long lost daughter saying that she never thought she'd be this cruel is just going, "This is how I am, and nothing will ever change that."
Kestrel herself admits in the second to last scene we ever see her in that this is just how she is and there's no room for improvement for her. If she truly believes this (which I think she does because if not she would've changed something about herself before now) then there's nothing anybody can do to help her.
This is why I'm satisfied with Kestrel dying the way she did. There was nowhere for her to go, her character ends here because she's denied herself change over and over again. She decided to constantly take her anger out on children for 6 years, she decided to treat them as horribly as she possibly could, even now when finally reunited with Peril she acts the same as she always had.
She never makes any strides to change herself because she genuinely believes that the only way to survive in a cruel world is to be cruel back. And look at how far it got her.

Finally finished. Here's Sunny! :) Took me a while. I'm actually pretty proud of it! I'm so happy that I finished it because lot of the time I don't finish stuff and leave them entirely. I hope you like it!
