I recently heard from a yt short that story board animators often start by drawing the eyes first, and that it made their art more expressive, and it blew my mind honestly, so all these doodles are me testing that out! and I think they look really neat!!!!! especially with the Wander Over Yonder doodles (gee it's been a little while since I've done anything WOY related hehehe ^.^)

sooo here's some kid-core esque backgrounds slightly based on my house, the line art process was actually kind of relaxing to draw, I normally don't do very detailed linework for backgrounds, I was listening to art motivation subliminals so maybe that's why lol 😅
it kinda just came to me ig, more specifically the one with Four and Wander in it. Four stays up a hole night and ends up sleeping on the floor, and Wander comes to find him like that the next day, is the kinda sort-a story I had in my head when I was thinking abt this lol
but anyways I think these turned really nice looking hhehe :) and kinda like the sketches a lil more lmao

Your WOY Bug AU is absolutely amazing and adorable too! You know, I was thinking about a bug design for Janet, (if she makes an appearance), and I think a love bug would definitely be perfect for her! (Well, technically, she’s a talking, sentient planet, so is her companion, Maurice so…) I guess maybe it could work out or not.
You’ll never know.
here's some concept art for Janet, she's still a plant tho-
like what I did with Screwball, she's also not a bug and is instead a magic sentient object.
I thought it would be fun to call her Soil Janet (like Planet Janet) because her entire area of soil is pretty much magic! and as you can also see there is a big version and a small version of her (that being a rose like in the show, and the other being a 'lily of the valley')
although didn't turn her into a bug, I played around with the idea of her making bug-like puppets (kinda creepy lol)
now I only wonder what I'll do about Maurice.... hmm

I finally drew Wander's banjo! got inspired by @myawmyawchik-orden 's fanart of my au (thx again btw :D) it reminded me that I still didn't have a design for Wander's banjo yet, so here it is!!
the banjo is made out of an acorn, a stick, some webbing, and two sunflower seeds :) I think it turned out pretty cute hehe
I need to chill tf out on the colors damn 😭 Brad Starlight next to Lord Hater for comparison, he looks like he's a completely different lighting situation- :,)
also I'm thinking that the Tinkerbelle movies would make great inspiration for this au hehe

Emperor Awesome is a leech wearing bioluminescent plants of some kind, lol
I've also been thinking of doing Major Threat soon too, speaking of evil dictators, I'm not exactly sure what to do with Lord Haters watchdogs, more specifically their weapons
