here’s a fun part of western history for those who indulge:

Mrs. Nash (or old Nash) was a successful Mexican laundress, midwife, seamstress, and baker. Such little is known about Mrs. Nash (or old Nash) that even her first name remains undiscovered.

She married a number of soldiers, including John Newman who was her last husband of five years.

Mrs. Nash was known for being kind and soft with pregnant women, gaining respect in her community of Fort Lincoln. She would bake pies, and would often ask “are ya comf?”

Another detail about Mrs. Nash is that she was a trans woman.

No one knew this about Mrs. Nash (aside from a former employer, who was the one that encouraged Mrs. Nash to pursue work as a laundress rather than cattle work) until her death, where she asked to be buried as she was with her clothes untouched. her wishes were not fulfilled, as this was a time where trans people were seen as “impersonators”. her husband received so much ridicule, that it caused him to tragically take his own life.

Mrs. Nash’s friend, Elizabeth Custer, said she felt no differently towards Mrs. Nash after her death, reportedly saying:

“Poor dear. I hope she is finally comf.”

i highly recommend looking into Mrs. Nash, as there are still some details about her that aren’t included in this post. important parts of history get forgotten and lost due to a severe lack of lgbtq+ representation in schools and media in general. the more people who know about specific instances of trans people existing throughout history, the longer Mrs. Nash and other trans people of history can live on. it is especially important in today’s age that we help everyone remember that queer people have always existed, and will continue to exist.

why do people keep reblgging my posts with random pictures and gifs

i completely agree with literally every sentence of this.

each season so far has felt like context leading up to a bigger project. we already know we’ve barely scratched the surface, but i think we’re gonna go a lot deeper than anticipated by a lot of fans. yingdu was pretty much just context. i’m tired of people acting as if this is the last season we’ll ever see

i think the problem with a lot of the link click fandom is that people are scared to have fun and be wrong.

the show is still very much in progress, be silly for now! nothing is certain and they like to fuck with us!

who actually gives a fuck that yingdu wasn’t THE season of all time with a flawless plot. IT WAS FUN.

if you love this show and it’s creators so much, have faith in them and understand that an “in between” season isn’t going to meet all of your personal criteria for what makes a good season. not only are they doing their best, BUT IT WAS A FUN SEASON for the most part and if you take your fucking self serving critic glasses off for two minutes it was pretty enjoyable!!

me saying “i love that” instead of “i love you” at the end of my sentences because i refuse to let it slip this early and “aw, you like the smell of citrus? i love you” is such a bad way to say it

this is a vent about AI its not meant to be a productive conversation

MAYBE just MAYBE i could be pro AI when it comes to things like assisting medical/environmental science advancements, or taking over dangerous jobs that put humans at risk.

however, i will always be anti AI when it comes to stupid bullshit like generating a mediocre picture on chatgbt and selling it for $10, doing your fucking dishes, writing essays, coming up with better points to win an argument, fuck it even just seeking out random facts.

pick up a pencil. read a book. do your own chores. we don’t need robots for that shit, it’s peak fucking laziness.

AI is not new by any means, but the scale of which we’ve chosen to rely on it is so frustrating. have you no joy? no creativity? no fucking SPINE? you seriously can’t type like four words into google and read an article to find an answer to something? this is getting fucking pathetic.

and on top of it being lazy: do you have like… zero? fucking idea? whats going on in the world right now? okay cool, yeah, AI isn’t sucking up the Atlantic ocean through a straw, but it does have a major environmental impact and that’s simply just a fact so could you maybe, idk, be a fucking person and not DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTE? do you have nothing to fight for? there’s nothing on this earth you want to protect? so much so that generating badly done studio ghibli knock offs is more important? fuuuuuuck you
