OH MY GOOOD
You just combined my two favorite things! Your art and Champagnia's fanfics<3
EreHisu Day 2: Devil and Girl
inspired from one my favorite passages of champagnia's fanfic "gods and monsters" link
for the theory rubric - jon snows real name is aemon
i have gotten so many jon name ones i am just going to rank the contenders i’ve seen so far:
1. Jon has no secret targaryen name- He’s Ned’s son more than he ever was Rhaegar’s and Ned named his adopted son after his adopted father that’s literally everything that’s love that’s Ned’s promise. He has no secret Targaryen name because you can’t look back there’s no grand prince-hood to return to and just like he learns in his per-book identity crises he has always and only ever been Jon Snow, just himself.
2. Jon has no secret targaryen name but Lyanna happened to give him a secret stark name before she died and that name happened to be Theon- lol. lmao even
3. Jon’s real name is secretly Aemon- My favorite targ contender, I think the connection is knight of the laughing tree Lyanna being a little bit of a knight nerd and naming her kid after Aemon the dragonknight is cute (even though i’m an aemon hater). But where it comes through for me is jon ending up being named for maester aemon it IS cute :)
4. Jon’s name is really Jon but after Jon Connington- Hilarious, but cannot see Lyanna being down for this and it’s not like Rhaegar was there to name his own kid. Or that Rhaegar was even that emotionally attached to his closest friend to do that.
5. Jon’s name is secretly Daeron after Daenys the dreamer- Like all Daerons before him, Jon is bisexual, so this is definitely plausible. Plus he’s named after the young dragon his personal idol. Fun but unlikely
6. Jon’s name was supposed to be Visenya but he was a surprise so his name is Viserys- I think his name was supposed to be Visenya regardless but I refuse to believe Jon is a Viserys they can’t do that to me
7. Jon’s is a secret second (seventh) Aegon- The show was so foul for this one come on. Not only is Aegon the most boring option for a Targaryen name, but Rhaegar deciding the first Aegon wasn’t cool enough so he went out and made a second is just comically terrible.
8. literally anything else
9. Jaehaerys- i cannot STAND this one. NO teenage girl (Jaehaerys’ greatest enemies) would ever consider naming a child after him. I think naming him after the misogynist dynasty-builder runs counter to the whole theme that Dany is the last of the targaryen dynasty and there is no monarchical restoration coming because she is going to break that wheel. Pretty sure it is just a contender because of the alliteration but it’s just unbelievably corny to me. booooo
Criston calls the woman who coerced him into sex a cunt ONCE and hes a raging misogynist... he said no 😭😭 i finished the series on the weekend and got into the fandom just a little AND THE BULLSHIT I HAVE SEEN, to an extent i understand, theres an inherent distrust of men who clearly dont like a woman and express that (butttt i mean people are actually shipping blonde bitch with her blonde bitch uncle or stanning him and he's... actually sexist and awful but... wtf(not to say you cant like shit characters, its just the hypocrisy), and the show is very clearly on blonde womans side of things so i get that some fans are just gonna follow that and not think about it. BUT IF YOU DO think about it it dont make sense
also why did alicent marry her kids together, ive heard that in the books old king man did it and that its kinda against alice's religion? could have misheard head that and maybe i missed the explanation but that never made sense to me.
Oh how I get you anon, when I first entered the fandom I too was bombarded with these posts hating on Criston, Alicent and the greens and was left speechless. And yes, on one hand it can be excused (to a certain extent) but on the other it highlights their hypocrisy.
Hating on the kingsguard who was coerced into sex? That's completely excusable how dare he insult our kween!
Insinuating that their little malewife is actually a horrible misogynist who calls every woman he dislikes a whore/bitch and literally CHOKES his wife for not wanting to immediately go to war ( after also not consoling following a stillbirth)?
You just don't get his character, he's our little meow meow!
These Daemon fangirls aren't older than fifteen in my opinion lmao.
Regarding Aegon and Helaena's marriage, yes in the show Ali betrothes them but in the books Viserys is the one to do it, and there are various reasons as to why:
It removes the risk of alliances. If the green kids had all been married to powerful noble houses like the Baratheons, Tyrells etc... The risk that during the dance they would have sided with the greens was quite high, and Viserys wanted to defend Rhaenyra's claim.
Helaena was Ali's only daughter, and since she was to be married this young it made sense that the queen wanted to keep her close to her.
Aegon is a better alternative than Jace, Viserys probably told her that he wanted to marry Helaena to either Aegon or Jace, and Ali would have never accepted a marriage with a bastard.
It simply follows the Targaryen tradition of "keeping the blood pure"
This one is fucked up but, it was thought to be a solution to Aegon's drinking problem and sex addiction, it wasn't.
Regarding Alicent's faith... I imagine seeing her kids marrying each other was super freaky, but she always knew that Targaryens married within the family and her marriage with Viserys was an exeption. Also the faith of the seven by that time had already decided to tolerate Targcest.
Ahhhh this is beautiful! My day is made <3
Please can an artist draw Criston wearing the
"I'm not a step-dad I'm the dad who stepped up"
T-shirt cause that would literally make my day.

"he shouldnt have fucked her" SHE IS THE PRINCESS AND HEIR, who on earth Could refuse in that position. He thought she loved him after that, he thought she wouldve wanted to run away with him, she blatantly took advantage of their positions for her own pleasure... Im very much one to bitch about whiny men not getting what they "expected" from a woman, but this isnt that, dudes not an incel.
Exactly anon, you just said all I was thinking!
I honestly can't even imagine what must have gone through Criston's mind after Rhaenyra rejected him. Like, the dude had risked everything for her! Viserys would have 100% tortured and killed him for "ruining" his daughter, and she just didn't give a shit.
I think that's one of the biggest representation of Rhaenyra's immaturity and recklessness. The girl believes she can dump others without consequences for her or them after getting what she wanted out of the relationship. She really is a spoiled brat and I blame it all on her deadbeat dad. 'Cause Viserys only knows two types of parenting:
Completely ignore your kids because you didn't have them with your first wife.
Or put them on a pedestal, say they can do no wrong, always cover up for their mistakes so they never suffer the consequences of their actions and side with them even when they're clearly in the wrong.
Rhaenyra telling that old lady in the tent in the episode 3 how she is going to change the system and than for the next half of season decided to do nothing to change a said system is very peak your average politican of her.
Aand you just completely missed the point. I already talked about why he slept with her, the consent issues and power imbalance. Also what does Aegon have to do with this? He was never in the kingsguard.
Hot take, but I personally think all the Criston Cole hate is bs. He's probably one of the most despised characters in hotd and the slander is so unjustified.
Like damn, are you guys really going to hate on him for despising Rhaenyra after all she put him trough?
I'm 100% certain that if the genders were swapped almost everyone would side with him.
Just imagine a girl that owes her dream job on a prince that is in a significant position of power over her. One night, after things don't go his way, he makes sexual advances on the girl. She feels like she has to sleep with him, because of how he helped her achieve her goal. Also because if she refuses, the prince may be enraged and make up a lie to get her executed. Afterwards, she feels dirty, she knows she broke her oath, and that if caught she would be tortured and murdered, so she deludes herself into believing they love each other and should run away together. At least that way, she won't have ruined her life in vain.
But when she tells the prince her plan and confesses her feelings, the prince tells her that he's not willing to give up the throne for her and that all he wants her for is sex. She's pretty much just his glorified whore.
I bet all I have that in this case everyone would call Rhaenyra an evil fuck boy misogynist who only sees ladies as objects to sleep with. But since she's a girl, then the fandom views her as an enpowered, sexually liberated girlboss who takes what she wants. Even if that leads a man to almost committing suicide.
The fact that the fan base also has the nerve to call him a pathetic incel is just the icing on the cake.
Guys, I'm not sure if you now, but hating a woman for something that has happened between you is not the equivalent of hating all women.
Criston hates her and her only, while treating every other lady in the show with great respect, hell he worships the ground on which Alicent walks! And scolds Aemond for how he treats sex workers, 'Cause for him they should all be respected like the mother! He's probably one of the least sexist characters in hotd lmao.
Sometimes I wonder if Rhaenyra stans can't stand him because they genuinely can't fathom a man receiving her advances, being offered to be her lover, and rejecting. Like "how dare him break our queen's heart!"
Poor dude never stood a chance
Season 1 from Alicent's POV:
You wake up one morning and your mother is dead. You are told to ask no questions. Your father didn't use to pay much attention to you, but now he calls you to Red Keep. Maybe you will be useful. The King has an only daughter after all, close to your age. You like it there, and you become friends with the King's daughter. But then, her mother dies. You are not allowed to relive the grief of losing your own mother or grieve with your friend, because suddenly, the Queen is dead, and that leaves up space for another. Your father says so. More importantly, the King's Hand instructs you so and tells you to be the King's friend. "But we don't have anything in common," you say, "He very well could have been my father," you think. No matter. "You should wear one of your mother's dresses." And you do. And you try hard not to say the wrong thing, but you don't know whom you should please and you're not allowed to be yourself. "What would Rhenyra think? What would father think? What would the King think? What would The Seven think? What does that mean for me?" you wonder. You are advised to not talk about what you are doing to anyone. Oh, and don't tell your best friend you are secretly meeting with her father. Let this poison your relationship. Your King tells you so.
It has now become known that the King wants a new wife. You pray you'd get out of this somehow, but you realize that he wants you. Now, what will you do? Well, your father would be pleased and proud for once. Viserys would make you his Queen. Maybe Rhaenyra will understand? Maybe this is what you want too? No, don't think about what you want. It doesn't matter anyway. The King has declared that he will marry you.
The wedding is on. You see Otto's eyes glowing with pride and his smile is beaming. Rhaenyra does not even look at you. It pains you so much and you want to tear up but the King is watching. The feast is over and your father calls you to his chambers. He tells you about your duties as the King's wife. "If your mother was alive, she would know how to best put this," he says, as he explains that you have to yield to Viserys' desires. Yes, he uses that very word. So you do that. You go to your husband when he calls you. He says he will try to be gentle with you, but you loathe his very touch. Somehow it feels so wrong; he is your friend's father, and he is twice your age. But he is the King. And you are a Queen now.
The days pass without Rhaenyra's friendship. When did you stop dreaming? When did you stop being a little girl? Why can't you roam the halls again, arms linked together? Oh. You suddenly find out why. You are pregnant. You are a big girl now. Your first thought is to tell your friend, go to Rhaenyra, and share the news with her. But she wouldn't like that. Then who can you tell? Who else do you have to share such big and important news with? Your father doesn't need to be told, he guesses right away and calls you to him. "You will have to be very careful now," he says. "Queen Aemma had lost six children." Somehow, everyone is suddenly more attentive. Not to you, but to your royal womb. You panic when it's time to give birth. Everything is so new and terrifying. Viserys is happy. It's a son! You send word to Rhaenyra, to meet her baby brother. "I hope that is alright?" you think. "It's not like my son will be heir to the throne. That's still Rhaenyra's."
Your father hits you with the stark reality, however. Your children are growing up in an uncertain future with Rhaenyra as heir, constantly vulnerable to the threat of war. You still try and support her, you trust her, and you encourage her father to find a suitable match for her. But she lies to you. Or does she? You can't be sure. She is serving you half-truths. Does she really think you are stupid and you will not find out that she is no longer a maiden? How can you trust her again after that? If she is lying to your face, then why wouldn't she threaten the lives of your children if need be? No, you need to act. Your father was right. It's you or her.
Ten years have passed and you can still see through Rhaenyra's lies. She still thinks you are a fool, doesn't she? Of course none of her children are Laenor's! Why can't nobody else see that? But you can. Because you used to be friends once. And as usual, she is getting what she wants without questions and she avoids all consequences, whereas you have to fight for all you have, alone. She will always have Viserys' support, and you will always have four heirs. It's not about you and Rhaenyra anymore, but about the survival of your family. Yet, you still want decency and honor to prevail, and you want to serve the realm above all.
At this vulnerable time when you need council the most, your informant over the years finds a way to cast his net over you. Did you really think he was being a genuine friend, and that he would not want anything in return? Now you could be implicated in two murders. How did you end up in this situation? Larys becomes another person to whose wishes you should comply.
Then the most tragic thing of all happens. Your son, Aemond, is maimed. He loses an eye. You have never felt more excruciating pain at the sight and a flaming rage toward those responsible. It was Lucaerys, Rhaenyra's son. He should apologize. She could show she's sorry and deeply saddened over what happened. But no, she manages to use the incident to position herself as the victim. "Is she for real now?" you think. "How can she be so heartless, so cold, so cruel? Doesn't she know what I have lost, all in her hands? Does she really have the nerve to pretend that she is offended by mere words, while MY SON LOST AN EYE? She really knows no limits, does she?" And you finally snap, and you hurt her. You have never done this before, and now you see her blood trickling. Goodness, it's really her blood you spilled!
How can things ever be right now that she has that visible proof? Yet, you still think she would make a great queen. That is, until Viserys tells you that "Aegon" should be King and that you must "unite the realm against the cold and the dark." You are the only one who can do it. Now what? Once again, you face a dilemma. Should you stand by Rheanyra as heir, or should you trust Viserys' dying words? Can you really trust that Rhaenyra will ensure the survival of your children, after all her lies? And what is really best for them, and for the whole realm? Before you even have time to think, your father and the Small Council tell you that the succession is settled and that Aegon is to be crowned King. Once again, the desires of others precede yours. They want to kill Rhaenyra! Now, that's too much. You could never consent to anything like that. You were once friends and still--you still don't know how you quite feel about her. But you know you could never be the one to kill her.
The Silent Sisters cover up Viserys' body and you can finally mourn him, along with your lost years of innocence. Your abuser is finally dead. But your ordeals are not over yet. You will have to crown Aegon as King, this is the only way. Rhaenys violently disrupts the coronation and now you know that no one is safe. She will go to Rhaenyra, and Rhaenyra will react. Did you do the right thing? Did you try and protect your children and the realm as best you could? Time will only tell. You are used to the twists of fate after all. But one thing is certain: nothing will be the same again because you are the Green Queen and she has the blood of the dragon.
Hot take, but I personally think all the Criston Cole hate is bs. He's probably one of the most despised characters in hotd and the slander is so unjustified.

Poor dude never stood a chance
It’s funny how Criston’s line about how every woman should be treated like the mother is used as an example of how he’s a misogynist who has a Madonna/Whore complex when the topic of the conversation between him and Aemond is the red light district and sex workers. Criston includes them in his label of respectable women. How on earth can he believe in the Madonna/Whore dichotomy when he says treat prostitutes like the mother? If anything he obliterates the dichotomy. This line of Criston is arguably one of the most progressive thing any HOTD character said. Heck even ASOIAF too. The only other character who shows any care towards sex workers is Brienne of Tarth. To be the only one that can be compared to Brienne in this situation is impressive as fuck. And I will not stop reminding this fandom of that.
To people saying Alicent is somehow a rape supporter by placing Aegon on the throne… are you good??? Did you not see Alicent slap him and denounce him as her son after what he did to Dyana? And to those saying something along the lines of “she should have killed him” or “she shouldn’t have supported his claim”; first of all most of you belong to the same part of the fathom that say that Alicent should have been punished for attacking Rhaenyra, and then you want her to kill a prince?!?!? I’m sorry where is the logic it that. Also, her son being a morally corrupt person doesn’t mean she should endanger the lives of all of her children and grandchildren by allowing Rhaenyra to become queen. Like, sure, sorry Aemond, Helaena and Daeron, your brother is not a good person so I’m leaving all of you (as well as the realm) at the mercy of Daemon and Rhaenyra who have openly killed people that stood in their way and spoke the truth before but no I’m sure it’ll be fine, she’s your sister, never mind the fact that she threatened to torture your ten year old brother after her sons maimed him for speaking the truth, I’m sure it’s all good now and she’s going to leave Viserys’ THREE male legitimate sons running around in peace.
Also, if Alicent is supporting rape by being in proximity to Aegon and giving him more power what on earth does that make Rhaenyra who placed wifekiller blood supremacist Daemon at her side??? Make it make sense.
I'm sorry but people hating on Aemond and calling him an asshole for "stealing" Vhagar instantly piss me off.
Like come on seriously.
Now I'll be honest and agree the timing wasn't the best.
(Claiming a dragon at it's rider's funeral is a bit out of touch.)
But people love to demonize him for it as if he had strangled a baby or something.
"Vhagar was meant to pass to one of Laena's daughters!"
I'm sorry when have dragons been passed down like a house? 'Cause last time I checked they are living creatures with their own wills. Your dad could tell your entire life that his dragon is going to you when he dies, but if the dragon doesn't want you, you can't exactly force it to accept you.
Unless you like being burned to death.
If Vhagar wanted to have Baela or Rhaena as her rider she wouldn't have accepted Aemond, heck she wouldn't even have tested him! She would have turned him into the dragon equivalent of a chicken nugget.
He proved his determination and resilience in riding her, a determination that had been born from being mocked and bullied by his brother and nephews for God knows how long!
The boy was frustrated by being seen as less by the other kids. Especially by Rhaenyra's, since they were bastards. As soon as he saw his chance to prove his worth as a Targaryen prince he took it and rode the greatest, most ancient dragon left in Westeros.
It was normal for the twins to be mad at him. After all they were two little girls who had just lost their mother, and I admit, Aemond reacted poorly at their insults, though after finally proving himself, I can understand why he got so cocky.
That said the fight was completely on them and the Strongs. They hit him first, and started ganging up on him. The kid was just defending himself, and remember, Jace was the one who took out a knife. Aemond may have taken a rock and threatened to harm them, but when you're up against 4 other kids all by yourself, you have get a weapon to try and balance out the fight if you want to get out all in one piece.
Literally this
People are very fond of saying that Alicent is the one who put her family's lives in danger because she made the decision to press Aegon's claim to the throne. According to them, Rhaenyra would never have done anything to her brothers if they simply never challenged her rule.
I just don't think that holds up for a number of reasons but one is in fact Ser Laenor.
Let's consider that from Alicent and the Greens perspective, this guy was enabling Rhaenyra's lies. It wasn't a matter of just being uncertain over whenever he fathered those children and just choosing to believe in the end that he did, it was a matter of being fully aware those boys weren't biologically his.
And I have played my part here, faithfully… for 10 years.
The part Laenor is talking about here is "faithfully" maintaining that he is the boys' biological father for a decade. That's a long time to lie for someone. But he does it.
And yet despite this, he ends up being "murdered". And who does Rhaenyra marry very soon after despite the suspicions about her being guilty that surround her for years after? Daemon.
As Alicent obviously isn't all knowing, with what she is given, Rhaenyra & Daemon chose to get rid of someone who never once put the claims of her children in danger.
How then do people expect Alicent to think "well, as long as I don't do anything we should be fine." As if Laenor wouldn't be an example to her of that obviously not being the case.
Lol why do people keep on saying Vhagar was stolen? She's not a thing! She's one of the most powerful dragons in all of westeros. If she didn't want Aemond to claim her, she would have burned him to a crisp. She chose to accept him as her rider.
Ok but why are we blaming Vhagar for Luke's death? Did I miss the part where she decided to fly after him without that one eye havin' ass bitch on her back?
Am I the only one wondering how the velaryons are still on team Black's side?
Like seriously, Rhaenyra and Daemon disrespect them at every given occasion, yet they still somehow want to support her claim.
Strike 1 was Rhaenyra cheating on their son and not being called out on it by anyone.
(She and Laenor have a deal and both cheat on each other, but his parents don't know that. For all they know their daughter in law has been disregarding her duty as his wife and claiming her bastards as Laenors.)
Which is already not great at all since that means the next lord of the tides won't be an actual Velaryon.
Despite everything though Corlys is willing to overlook that because "history remembers names, not blood." but that doesn't mean they are happy with this.
Strike 2 was everything that happened with poor Laena. Daemon prevented her from going back to Driftmark to be with her family and she died far from her parents and her beloved home, which is already horrible.
Then at her funeral their former son in law starts laughing. I honestly would have snapped at that point.
But that's not even the worst part! Because not long after her funeral, Rhaenyra and Daemon have their only remaining child murdered so they can get married.
(Once again, Laenor isn't actually dead, but his parents can't know that.)
So now, both of their kids are dead, indirectly or directly because of D*emyra.
And then they get married immediately! Their spouses have barely stopped burning and they are already tying the knot, without even pretending to be grieving for their losses or wait the required period of mourning like in the books.
And all of this is without even considering how Vaemond was brutally executed by Daemon for telling the truth about the strong boys's parentage, and calling them not his blood.
The velaryons have shown support for them on pultiple occasions and got shat on every. single. time.
Yet for some reason they still think Rhaenyra should be in charge.
In the end, even during the dance they still draw the short end of the stick.
Rhaenys is killed by Aegon and Aemond because, in spite of her strength and ability as a dragon rider, she can't beat two dragons by herself, and Rhaenyra basically sacrifices her by sending her all alone to help their allies.
Corlys is damn right for saying that with more reinforcements his wife would have lived.
Oh and then we have that whole mistery affair that Jace has with Sara. Obviously it's all speculation and rumors, but if it were true, that would just be the last blatant insult to house Velaryon. They deserved much better.
Yes say it louder! Also I really don't get Mysaria's double standards. In episode 9, she's only willing to give Aegon back to the greens if they promise to stop the child fighting pits in flea bottom. It shows she cares for exploited, abused children. But then she helps Daemon brutally murder a six year old boy? Wtf! Poor kids should be helped but the noble ones have to die? I'm speechless
I’ve seen a lot of Mirri haters saying Mirri supporters should support Mysaria no matter what.
Here’s the problem with that, Mirri is forced into slavery, violated repeatedly, and sees her home destroyed and people she loves killed. Mirri gives clear instructions for Khal Drogo to heal, which he ignores and this gets even more sick. Mirri then attempts to heal Drogo from the brink of death but tells dany there will be a cost. Dany asks if her own life will be the price and when told no she agrees to it. Mirri is then blamed for Drogo not being ‘Alive’ and turns she gets to roast dany saying this is what she saved. Then Mirri is burned alive.
Mysaria in contrast is now a powerful spy master with multiple people spying for her throughout kings landing. She assists her ex lover in murdering a child that she probably doesn’t even know, mentally torturing the mother and grandmother of that child.
They are not the same. Mirri followed orders from her enslaver and when her enslaver was not happy with the outcomes she was burned alive. Mysaria helped murder a child who’s family had done nothing to her.
I really don't understand why people are going after Jace/Sara because of Baela and how she would react to their relationship.
First of all we're not even sure Sara is going to be in hotd 2 in the first place, since her affair with Jacaerys is not something we are certain actually happened, yet people are hating on her as if she were 100% in the show and it's dumb.
Don't say a character doesn't exist in the story and then hate on it as if it did, you're just exposing your insecurities lmao.
Second even if they get together next season Baela and Jace are never going to get married anyway,as we all now he's going to kick the bucket before they're wed.
Had the show shown them being cute together, developing a crush on one another and talking about how they are looking forward to their wedding then I would have understood the hate and mayybe I would have agreed that adding Sara would only ruin the ship and piss off the fans.
But it doesn't happen!
They barely talk, and Jace apologizes to Baela before dancing with Helaena. Some would argue that he defended her against Aegon's shitty comments but that's something anyone with a braincell would do.
That's it.
Twitter is up in flames for this? Wow
At least Sara would add to Jace's character. He could bond with another bastard, we could get his inner thoughts regarding his mother and her affair with his dad, we could see her showing him around Winterfell while he rides his dragon!
If well made this could potentially be super interesting and finally make me care about one of Rhaenyra's kids.
His marriage with her could also represent a sort of wake up call for Rhaenyra.
Damn she would finally realise that her actions have consequences! That teaching your sons that they are inherently superior to everyone else because they are Targaryens and the rules don't apply on them has consequences!
She didn't abide by the rules cause she was daddy's little princess who could do no wrong and was almost never called out on it, now she would have to come to the realization that this affected her son, who now also thinks he can break his marriage pact and get with whoever he pleases, without getting shit for it.
Pleas HBO deliver!
What I really can't stand is her belief that she's above consequences for her reckless actions
a thing that i really hate about team black is how they say that we can’t really be mad at Rhaenyra for having three bastard children as a woman, because men have been doing the same thing all the time and no one cared.
But they kinda always forget about a very important detail; Whenever men had bastard children, they pretty much never put them in line for inheritance. They were aware of the fact that some random children they had with some random women are somewhere out there living their lives. And they didn’t care. They didn’t put their lives in danger by saying “oh, yeah, they are my legitimate children” even though the children look nothing like their mother or something. And whenever they *do* have their bastards live with them, they always admit that they are their bastards and never put them higher than legitimate heirs to their house.
Like Ned Stark has always been like “hey, that’s my bastard son, Jon, he is living with us at Winterfell. We raised him, fed him and treated him right, but when it comes to inherit Winterfell, my legitimate son with my wife Caitlyn, Robb, who is the true heir to house Stark, will become the next Lord, not Jon”
Rhaenyra, well, did the exact opposte.
And if you say “oh, but she’s a woman, she can’t do that, since people will get angry if she admitted to having bastard children with a man that is not her husband!” I will say, as a woman myself, no matter how cruel that might sound: that’s Rhaenyra’s problem. She knew damn well that when a man and a woman have sex, it’s the woman that gets pregnant. And if she really wanted to have children, she could’ve had sex with someone that slightly looks like her husband. Like, what the hell did she, a blonde white woman, expect her children to look like, having sex with a dark haired white man?
Because that’s the world she lives in. A cruel and unfair patriarchal world. And she does absolutely fucking NOTHING to change it. She doesn’t fight for women’s rights, doesn’t call out this patriarchy that somewhat caused the war itself, she doesn’t do anything to get rid of it. So that’s on her
I’m not team green in an “Aegon should be king” type of way. I’m team green in a “I would die for Alicent Hightower and team green is just more complex and has better and more interesting characters than team black” type of way.
a Jeyne of your choice with a baby?
Thank you for the prompt!
I feel like I should probably apologise to you for this one…
Jeyne curled around her baby.
The soft red curls on his head, the blue of his eyes, the blood in his veins, all of it made her son a target.
Edwyn would never know his father, nor his grandparents, nor even his aunts and uncles. He might not even know his mother, if the Lannisters had their way.
“Mama loves you so, so much.” Jeyne whispered, pressing a kiss to the down on his head, “Mama loves you more than the moon and the stars and the sun.”
She let herself place another kiss to his head, savouring the memory of him. It was a memory she would surely need in the dark of her cell.
Edwyn smiled at her, his gums poking through the curve of his perfect little lips. He waved one chubby fist in the air, and as Jeyne caught it she couldn’t he’ll but marvel over every single one of his tiny, perfect fingernails.
Her baby was perfect and she wished she could see him grow.
Carefully she dressed him in a gown made from one of Robb’s shirts. Carefully she swaddled him in a blanket made from her marriage cloak. She tucked her jewels into the swaddle, hiding them in the folds of the cloth.
It was all she could give him. All she had that would prove who he was.
A plain blanket and swaddling bands went over the top. He had to stay warm, had to stay safe, and blending in was his best chance for that.
“Mama loves you.” She said once more, pressing a single drop of sweetsleep onto his gums. A single drop should not hurt him, and it would be safer than him awaking and making a noise the Lannisters could track.
His eyes blinked shut, and Jeyne mourned for the loss of their sweet blue. She cradled him close to her chest and stole from her rooms. Better her family did not know what she was about to do. Better no one but she knew of her plan.
The castle was dark, but Jeyne knew it almost as well as her childhood home. Months under siege would do that.
The river was her destination, the small patch of bank only accessible through a door hidden by the reeds. It would be visible to the shore on any other night but for the lack of moon in the sky.
“You are sure of this?” Ser Brynden asked as he stood from his crouched position among the reeds, his voice low and kind.
“I am.” Jeyne straightened her shoulders and passed her precious son to his great uncle.
Set Brynden took Edwyn as though he was the most fragile glass, and tucked him securely into an oilskin sling against his front. So too did he take the bag that Jeyne passed him, packed with some of what he might need to keep her son safe and well.
She should have been sending him off with a grand entourage. Should have been keeping him with her in the keep.
But Lord Edmure had been spotted within the Lannister camp and they all knew it was only a matter of time before he was used to make the castle surrender.
A single swimmer would have the best chance at evading the Lannisters, and Ser Brynden had the best chance of being believed as he championed her son’s identity.
“Keep him safe, my lord. Restore him to his home.”
Ser Brynden looked down at her, his face solemn. “I swear, my queen. King Edwyn will see Winterfell, will sit upon the throne of the North as his father did before him.”
Jeyne stepped back, the tears in her eyes finally trailing down her cheeks. “I know you will. Now go! We will buy you whatever time we can. Go! Before the Lannisters wake. Go!”
Ser Brynden smiled, he tucked Edwyn closer to his chest within his oilskin sling, and he slipped into the dark of the water.
And Jeyne waited on the bank until the last of the ripples had died away and her son was truly gone.
i actually hate talisa maegyr. i think her whole plot with robb was so stupid. like in the books robb’s marriage with jeyne is this tragic situation that’s really a culmination of the stress and grief that robb has been going through and unable to truly process because he is a child trying to lead his people in a war. he gets injured and then learns that his former best friend has just betrayed him, captured his home, and killed both of his younger brothers which adds to growing list of loss in his life. his father got executed, his sisters are being held hostage, his best friend betrayed him, and now his brothers are dead. so while he’s injured and kind of being consumed by his grief, jeyne westerling is there to comfort him and they do the deed and this only makes things worse because of how robb was raised and instilled with his father’s honor, as well as seeing how jon was raised, robb feels compelled to marry jeyne to preserve HER honor which ends up being his downfall. but nooooo in the show robb falls in love with foreign beauty talisa maegyr and dies because he’s an idiot and couldn’t keep it in his pants. like don’t get me wrong i love robb’s scenes in the show richard madden call me i just think the story could have been so much better and been true to the tragedy that it is in the books.
Screaming crying throwing up this is the best thing I've seen all day
"when you called me normal... that made me so happy."
"because you're the girl that saved me that day. the worst girl in the world."
Facts
Hange dying for nothing, Levi never confronting Annie for how she brutally murdered his squad, Historia being sidelined after a marvelous character arc, and Jean going back to being buddies with Reiner, the man that murdered his best friend/ actual lover (don't give me any Mikasa bs, Marco was his one and only), after one single confrontation will never sit well with me. Ever. Isayama let down his characters.
For real though Floch kill him for a second time he deserves it
I want path scene where yeagerists and floch beat the shit out of eren
full character AU breakdowns under the cut

Hello, love your art. It's very cute)))) You have a new russian fan. Can you tell me what rulers do Hungarians consider to be the best? I have to admit I know very little of Hungarian history...
Hi tairin! I’ve seen your other message too and I’m thankful for the kind words! Sorry for the delayed reply! I wanted to make a painting-like drawing for you but I suck at digital painting so here I made a list of Hungary’s Top 5 (+1) rulers in my usual style instead.
I’m afraid only Hungarians will get these jokes. /sigh/ Here are some info about these kings and queens:
-Szent István/Saint Stephen: he was our first king, he brought christianity to Hungary and founded the state. He wrote our first laws and a guide for his son on how to govern the kingdom rightfully - his son was sadly killed during hunting and so ‘game of thrones’ started after his death.
-Hunyadi Mátyás/Matthias: the renaissance king, son of the turk-beater Hunyadi János/John, his family’s symbol is a raven with a ring in its mouth and he founded an elite mercenary army called the “Black Army”. He also conquered Vienna and South-Austria by the way. Legend says he also travelled the country in different disguises and served justice among people.
-Károly Róbert/Caroberto: arrived from Italy from the Anjou-dynasty to take the throne but due to not fulfilling the 3 requirement of Hungarian coronation (must be Holy Crown, in Székesfehérvár, by the Archbishop of Esztergom) he made detours and fought wealthy powerful nobles until he was coronated for the 3rd time for real. Phew. The Hungarian throne is demanding.
-IV.Béla: his father was a money-waster so he decided to be the opposite. Nobles didn’t like him that much though so they didn’t come to protect the country when tatars invaded. Béla fled to Croatia and after tatars left, he returned to refound the state. Hungary became a multi-ethnic country under his rule. (That’s why she refers to the ‘kuns’.)
-Szent László/Saint Lawrence: he was called the knight king because he waged wars all his life. He also carried an axe around for some reason. He was raised in Poland by the way. Many legends are centered around his figure. He rescued damsels in distress and fooled enemy with throwing small stones at them, while the enemy believed it was money.
-Mária Terézia/Maria Theresa: the queen Austrian men didn’t want and Hungarians did because she pleaded with her child on her arm so the Hungarian nobles were touched and exclaimed: Our lives and blood for the queen! (Vitam et sanguinem pro rege nostro!) She also enforced compulsory education for kids so young schoolers of today always blame her for hard education, haha.
Aaand that’s all for this history lesson. Hope it wasn’t too much. ^-^’
this scene is the sexiest 4th wall break in cartoons,
