A rich musical history was indeed correct. In Rantaro’s travels he’d become acutely aware of speaking to people – getting insider tips on areas and really learning how to scope things out. When he’d offered to come here, he’d done the same thing.
It was no surprise to hear the many accomplishments that surrounded the area. And to hear that the museum was to hold a collection of some of the finer instruments which had belonged to those whom came from here? Well, it was a charming thought. And hearing the PRIDE that came from the town… well, it was a good feeling. All in all, it was painful to hear that many people were beginning to avoid this place now. The rumors were damaging the reputation of a place that was well l o v e d by those who surrounded it. So? It was hard to imagine that a sinister spirit or the likes could be involved…
As he wasn’t someone who’d ever SEEN a ghost himself, he wasn’t entirely sure how he felt on the matter still – whether he believed in them or not. But the chance that it could be another HUMAN who might put his classmate in danger? Was the TRUE D R I V E for the protective Rantaro to come along.
“Well, I’ll be happy to see it. The centerpiece of a museum is often breathtaking.” He spoke these words through a soft smile – because, despite the risk? It was thrilling to be here as well. Seeing the museum as often very few people ever would. Coming to a place like this at night? Well, to say the least, the ULTIMATE Adventurer wasn’t likely to forget this place anytime soon.
However, now that they were inside, he knew he would have to focus. “… that makes sense. We should start there then, and make some beginning observations.” With that, Rantaro looks around – It was dark, but not so much so that the youth had too hard a time seeing. Given that it was a museum, it would often have maps around. Ether on the wall or little guides for guests… but, given that the building was mid-renovation? It appeared they would have to go off of something else… “Well, buildings of this period tend to have their main hall in this direction… so…” With that, Rantaro makes his mind up to start walking towards the direction. He was mostly talking to himself with that one – used to being alone in his travels, he didn’t have to worry about people hearing him think aloud. It was habit now.
Though, as he begins to walk, he does look over his shoulder towards his companion. “Would this be a good time to ask what in particular the nightguards have talked about? Aside from hearing the piano at odd points – have any of them come to harm because of these incidents?”
The main canon route for Gojun - this is where the timeline of Gaiden happens. And prior. He’s a Dragon God, and very serious about his job as the General of the Western Army. He’s a good person, though stern. And, when it comes down to it, he wants to believe that Heaven is better then it is...
But, when faced with the truth of everything, he decides that if he can do nothing else? He will at least be a scribe for the events that take place.
Having seen the others actions - in this verse, Gojun decided to take their side during the events that took place. Once he’d been kidnapped, he’d talked to them for a while, trying to make sense of their decisions. However, having already seen some of the corruption taking place in heaven? He was a little more willing to go along with what they were saying...
It’s true. Heaven is rotting. And they might as well abandon ship before everything simply goes under.
Being reincarnated as an actual . . . dragon wasn’t what he’d expected. In fact: He’s one of few that actually retained his memories after the massacre that their grand exit had been. However, he’d been alive up there for some time still. Not for long, his injuries had been far too severe for that, but...
Nowadays, he’s doing what he can to help them, whether they remember or not. Perhaps it is repentance that he remembers, but they know nothing...
She was getting nervous, despite telling herself that he would surely appear. Although he had confused her on their first meeting, what Yukimura-sama said at the Ten versus Ten matches before lingered on Isanami’s mind; despite what Sanada Nobuyuki came off as, he was a good person. Therefore, though she fidgeted in place at the gate, sounds of heavy footsteps had the FORMER priestess turning to greet the approaching person.
When his first words were, well, that ― she couldn’t help but smile. It was not like her past smiles that were bright and full of LIFE, but? It was the first time she had felt amused in such a long time.
Nonetheless, Isanami bows at her waist to the Lord. It felt good to see a familiar face, even when they were not that well acquainted. And seeing him gave her more hope that everyone else was still alive. ❛ Nobuyuki-san. I’m sorry for this sudden intrusion. ❜ In fact, she had many things she needed to APOLOGIZE for. After everything that happened though, where could she start? She had so many questions… so many things she wished to ask of the person whom was her best lead right now. ❛ I’m… glad to see you are well. ❜
A bit of guilt TWISTS into her heart. She probably wouldn’t even need to ask that, had Izanami not inflicted so many wounds on him, using him as “bait”. She wondered if she was overstepping her bounds. She, who had caused so much grief in everyone’s lives, to be here and wanting information on them. ❛ If it would not trouble you… could we talk? I know I’m not your retainer or anything. You don’t owe me anything, in fact, I do owe you much more than what I could ever pay you back for. But… ❜
She tilts her head up, looking upon the stern older brother of the Sanada family with desperation. ❛ I don’t know what else I could do. Where else I could go. Ueda is gone and people say Yukimura-sama is dead and I don’t ― ❜ Her voice cracks and she cuts her words off IMMEDIATELY. She didn’t want to cry, not when she was already troubling Nobuyuki-san with her presence. ❛ I-I’m sorry. Please… give me a moment. ❜ The former priestess brought her sleeves up, pressing them at her face. Hah, even if she thought she had changed, being so prone to her emotions would probably stay with her forever.
The ELDER Sanada simply stares at the other – dumbfounded by her sudden appearance after 10-YEARS. So much had happened in that time, so much had changed, and yet? Suddenly, a figure from the past appears at his doorstep. Someone who had been SEALED in the realm of the d e a d.
Most would figure that would be the last time they would see someone. Even Izanagi hadn’t been successful in retrieving someone from YOMI, as she’d been far too changed. And that – was the goddess that now resided in their own realm. The one who had been reincarnated as this young girl. A STORY he would have been reluctant to believe – at best, when his brother had finally filled him in on this… if it wasn’t for the fact that he had been taken HOSTAGE by the vengeful goddess herself.
“… if you want to speak to me, we should head inside. I can have a room prepared so that we may speak in private.” Nobuyuki finally says, after a few moments of just listening to the other talk. Snapping out of his confusion and deciding he needed to act.
They should talk. He had some questions himself, but? First and foremost, he needed to bring her inside… She looked exhausted. So? Quickly he ushered out some orders, before turning around. Gesturing with his hand to tell her to come along. “I’m… sure you do have a lot of questions and concerns. I’m willing to hear them out, it’s alright. I have nothing more pressing going on right now.” He was a busy man – and he was in the middle of things. However? This took precedence given the situation at hand. “You can have as long as you need to calm yourself when we’re out of the open. I understand being overwhelmed. Please, take as much time as you need here…”
He would gesture towards the common room, giving quick orders to keep people away from this area – though to fetch some tea and some food for his guest. She looked like she’d traveled a long way, and it wasn’t likely that she had stopped anywhere. So? With that, he just gestures towards the room. A silent invitation for the other to sit down somewhere. It was hardly prepared for guests, but? The Lord of Numata was improving for now.
Sanada Nobuyuki, the Lord of Numata… and unfortunately for him? The older brother of the troublemaker, Yukimura. He is very different from his brother. A busy man, he takes his job very seriously. He also takes their fathers mission into account far more than his brother ever did: The mission? To make sure the Sanada family line survives, no matter what. He’s also a married man, married to young Komatsu-hime, his light. Often times? The serious man can be found working… ether his page or his wife at his side.
This particular verse falls around the time he first met the Unno twins, when they were being assigned their pages- And? Around the time he allowed his brother to choose the method that their pages were chosen. He is still very serious, however? He’s a little more relaxed around this time, but? Not by much. This was when he was first getting to know the young page, and getting used to having him around- Debating just how much help the other would truly be to him.
This particular verse takes place with him during his waring era. Because of this? Don’t expect to find him in a particularly wonderful mood. He takes his job very seriously, and? Is more than willing to slaughter an enemy, if that’s what it comes down to. What’s important to him? Is surviving for the sake of completing his father’s goals. Of course? This isn’t the only thing that concerns him… after all, he does value his own life. But? He’s a little more anxious and unnerved during this time. Don’t expect him to be overly pleasant to strangers.
Sanada Nobuyuki, much to his dismay, is a teacher at the school that his own brother has recently come to teach at. Unfortunately for him? This has not been going particularly well. After all: He is very strict and serious. He is often found staying around after hours, grading papers, or even sticking around before and after school if any of his students have any particular questions. You’ll find that his classes are difficult, but? If you have questions for him, he’ll do everything in his power, with what limited patience he has, spending forever trying to help you understand it.

The others comment earns him a grin from the Spirit Detective – he knew that though some might have meant the comment as something of a passive-aggressive note, he knew the FOX SPIRIT long enough to know when he was being teased. With that, he scratches at his cheek. “Well, gee. Didn’t think you’d want me to get ya somethin’ special. Should I try again?” He laughs out the words, but regardless, offers out the sweets.
Kurama had in fact said that he would take them, so? He’d definitely take him up on that. And? As for h e r… well, he’d figure out something when she forgave him again.
Eventually.
However, as the other shifts attention to the bag of sweets at his side – the detective lets out a sharp, almost impressed, sounding whistle. “Holy shit, man.” He snickers, immediately poking through it a little. Kurama had asked for his help, after all. And yes, the red-head was right. He wouldn’t even remotely care about the implications of eating chocolate meant for someone else. Why? Because it was Kurama’s property now and he was offering it. So? Fairs fair, right? “And you got all these at school today?” He couldn’t even begin to hide his cheeky grin. It was hilarious to see all this chocolate dumped onto his companion. “How many more do you have that you couldn’t take home?” He had to ask – it was funny to imagine the others locker nearly bursting at the seems with sweets.
Why? Who knows. Yusuke had a weird definition of humor.
“I’ll help, sure. I mean, you’re giving me a hand too, right? Plus – if you wanna unload some, we could head to my place? I’m sure my good for nothin’ mother would give us a hand, if you just leave some there.” He continues, with a laugh – before pointing in the direction of his new apartment.
Whimsical and a bit of a trouble-maker, this warrior from the “Castle of Hearts” does his absolute best - … to avoid his job as the “Knight of Hearts”. He is often found wandering about Wonderland, hopelessly lost. Not that he seems to mind too much, but? It does seem to leave a bit of a bitter note with those he works with. Not that he could possibly imagine why. Regardless of his reasons, wandering Wonderland seems to be a bit of a pass time for him. And? Despite being an odd ball, he does seem to have genuinely bonded with the resident of the Clock Tower.
Odd or not, he is probably not the best choice to approach. He has a friendly smile and a deceptively innocent appearance from time to time - However? He is one of the deadliest people in Wonderland.
( With the shift that took place, removing some Wonderlandian’s and replacing them with others - he’s become even more unpredictable. A certain amount of his actions ranging on absolutely, ridiculously, crazy. Or simply dangerous. At first glance, he doesn’t appear to have changed much. He still is always smiling. And yet, behind his smile… is an unyielding darkness. )
( Lost and more then a little confused, Ace has found himself in Wonderland - And what’s even weirder? He can’t remember coming here. Or even what he was doing before he arrived. Entirely lost, confused, and suffering from a bit of whiplash amnesia … He is a man trying his best. And, at the same time? He is relatively okay with being lost. )
( The precursor verse for “restart,” this is the verse that has him still in the normal world and relatively explains why he ended up in Wonderland. What he was trying to get away from, what he was trying to survive with … This verse is still [ under construction. ] )
A member of the Future Foundation’s ( Sixth Branch ), he is part of the SCI. They’re job is to uncover the masterminds behind higher level crimes – serial killers, murder rings, and the likes. Things that are thriving because the world is in chaos, things that need to stop because they’re trying to fix the world. To that end, Takumi Hijirihara has been partnered up with Misaki Asano, and they’ve been doing their very best. ( However, on the other side of the coin – Hijirihara is also the infamous “KILLER KILLER.” A serial killer who specializes in copy-cat killing of famous deaths, and killing famous killers. )
Having witnessed a violent crime back in middle-school, Hijirihara was unable to move passed it. In fact? He became entirely obsessed with the beauty of the act – The splatter of blood, the light fading in their eyes, everything about it? Was elegant in a way that he couldn’t explain. Due to that? His found himself exhibiting some… violent tendencies.
Young, nerdy, and a bit of a pervert? He’s about an average middle school student. Of course, he’s a little more socially awkward then some – Certain habits of his are a little odd. But? You know what? Most people have learned to look past that about him. Or? They’ve learned to simply ignore him. Something he’s willing to live with. He is unaware of his fascination with blood or killers yet. So? All in all, he’s a pretty average kid.
In a world without Despair, Hijirihara has decided to pursue his interests in one of the only “socially acceptable” ways he could think of. Interested in blood and murder, he’s decided to become a detective. Specifically? A crime-scene analytical detective. It is one of the only things that could really helps his interests - And? A way he could still help society. He is odd, quiet, and most of the other detectives don’t really care for him … But? He is an accomplished detective. He is good at what he does. And? He’s got an amazing track record of catching those he goes after.
[ After all: He’s got a habit of tracking them by getting into their head - ‘if i were the killer? what would i do in this situation?’ ]
As the world was washed over with despair, and people reverted to acting in their own interests - Hijirihara watched the world. Watched it become over-run with chaos. Uninterested, yet - fascinated. As someone eventually came, trying to kill him, trying to steal from him, he killed them. It was easy. He’d been fascinated with murder since he was young, since he’d watched his classmates be murdered … And now? He lives a part of a world where he can do these things. Because, in a world of chaos. There isn’t anyone who can really stop him… is there?
Who he chooses to kill and why? Are wildly up in the air - But? Despite allowing himself to give into his temptations, he still primarily kills people who he feels deserve it. Giving him the haunting title of “KILLER KILLER.”
Hijirihara is a perfect example of why members of the FOLK try to hide what they are from humans – after all: Hijirihara washuman, until he ran into Mukuro Ikusaba. And? His fascination with her lead to obsession. He needed to become a member of the folk by any means necessary. And? The first chance he got – he allowed himself to be bit by a werewolf, and changed into one himself. ( Managing to kill a few humans by accident the day he changed – he had a natural violent streak in him, given his history, so? When he was told, he didn’t really seem to care. )
After this incident, because he was young, the Council didn’t want to “Blacklist” him – instead? They thought that he could do some learning under a long-time member of the Folk, one of their eldest, and the leader of Orsus. So? He was sent there to work under Juuzo as a member of the “police” of the island. ( And? Luckily for him? He was able to find the person he’d been looking for again! )
He has erratic transformations – he is unable to control it still, and often changes when he smells blood or gets irritated. However? At all times, he has his tail out. For some reason, after his first transformation, he’s never been able to hide it. And frankly? He doesn’t particularly care.
Determined to fix the problems he knows exists, Run decided he would do whatever he could to become someone of great importance - so that someday, he would be able to call some of the shots. Make some changes. Stop... future tragedies from ever happening the same way again.
This has been a bumpy road for him. Leaving him unable to do things exactly how he wanted to... despite his best intentions. And, eventually, this route of live leads him to finding the person responsible for his whole change in life. After all: He’d only been a simple school teacher before.
SPOILERS: After a very specific event, “Run” isn’t really there - and yet he is. Certain pieces of himself remain, leaving some of his tendencies to show, despite himself.
In this AU - Run ran into “NIGHT RAID” while he was still trying to think of a plan of action. He’d honestly always been something of a toss up, despite wanting to fix things. And having run into them, despite being unsure at first, he decides to work with them. Honestly, when it comes down to it? He just wants the situation to be fixed.
No matter how it needs to be done.
Kyouko Kirigiri’s father, as well as the Headmaster of Hope’s Peak Academy, he doesn’t exactly have a simple life. Even before things get to difficult, he does have to deal with a schools worth of academically blessed students. These people are special and require a lot of special treatment – not saying favoritism, but? So that they may mature to the best of the best? They need the right equipment, the right resources, etc. Not to mention, occasionally these talented people can be a little… on the destructive side. And? That’s all without accounting for any of the tragedy that begins falling at his feet.
The Reserve Course. The Parade. The Massacre. The Kamukura Project… Slowly, everything begins crumbling around him. And it doesn’t exactly make it easy to run a school.
Determined to save his students as well as remain as a pillar of hope for the rest of humanity, Jin Kirigiri has made the decision to lock down Hope’s Peak Academy. Keeping himself as well as his students inside. It is a long shot – in fact? They may be there for the remainder of their lives. But, he is determined to make this shelter into something of a bomb shelter, a time capsule, so that they can remain protected and well. So that one day? They might help the world recover. With the students consent and even their help? They managed to do just that. Locking themselves away from the apocalyptic reality outside of their walls.
Hope’s Peak Academy is a very difficult place to run sometimes. Having to watch after all these young, bright, brilliant students – who can be just a little on the extreme side. It’s becoming more difficult. And? Now with the school attempting to branch out to an overseas branch as well? It’s not the time to be falling short. Or… letting students destroy the grounds. Or setting fires. Or –
Somehow, this job is a lot more difficult then he’d been lead to believe it was going to be. Oh well! He’s dedicated now.
A spirit bound to the island itself – he no longer knows what he was before he died. Whether he was human, or some member of the “Folk?” He doesn’t know. In his death, he’s lost even memories of how long he’s been there? And, in general, the people of the island are willing to accept him as one of their own regardless. After all: For the most part, he remains within the library – making himself something of a librarian of the ancient grounds, and running it twenty-four hours a day.
Due to his being there all the time, he’s become strong enough to run it. He’s gotten the mental focus to begin moving things back to their own shelves and such without help nowadays.
All the phantom remembers of before his death is that he died trying to help someone figure out what they were – and how to survive as what they were. He feels a deep-rooted pain for those who have their race or their heritage covered up from them, so? He does everything he can to help them figure out what they are, how to coop with it, and accept the good and the bad that come with it.
The Eve of Envy, as well as Misono’s older brother, Mikuni Alicein is a… goal driven and mysterious asshole person. He often appears to have his own agenda, and mostly aligns himself to help others, only when it’s beneficial to him. At times, it appears his contract has derailed him a little …
( This verse can be used for plotting with partners role-playing different Servamps - In case we want to have a partner-swapped thread. No particular plot in mind for this one yet. But? I’ll add on branches for the different Servamps, as I find people interested in role-playing those different scenarios. )
( This can have two alternative scenarios -
One ; Mikuni Alicein almost died - His battle to obtain his goal had thrown him into too much danger, too many times. And? Near death, he panicked. Mikuni has never liked pain, seemed to fear it, in fact. So? Near death, he pleaded with Jeje to save him. And? Against the odds, Jeje did just that - changing him into a vampire, because? As close to death as he was, there was literally no other way to save the older Alicein brother.
Two ; Having existed for some time now, having been made a vampire/servamp a good long time ago, he’s never made a contract with anyone - Not interested with the counterbalance of a eve. He knows he could be stronger if he accepted it, Servamp’s and Eve’s work well together, he knows that. He’s simply stubborn. )
❝It can be really frightening I suppose.❞
WHERE WAS LIGHT, THERE WAS DARKNESS. But if one side triumphed, if one shadowed the other, all that negativity would continue to evolve and take deeper roots. That had been her case; sorrow, anger, bitterness, helplessness have all been emotions which devoured her heart, which made her resort to unsealing that abyssmal darkness which swallowed everything in its path. ❝You could say that the most terrifying thing was the emptiness which followed after. Once my anger quelled, once I could see clearer.. nothing which I had held any meaning. ❞ Pointless destruction. That pain was not solely inflicted on those who deserved, but innocence people had been affected; they suffered losses, their hearts cried out in pain. Death had never been beautiful for them, nor liberating. It stole what they held more precious. Allowing a heavy sigh of relief go past her lips, she raised her heard towards the sky. That clear blue was peaceful, serene and it calmed her soul. Her sins were hers to bear, nonetheless that experience still remained. The tough lesson Yuna received would forever be imprinted in her mind; its goods and bad had marked her. She was another person now. ❝The more you welcome darkness in your life, the more you seek it, the more it will consume you. You can say that was a lesson. As for what happened next.. well, those years were another form of darkness I confronted. ❞
It was surprising to hear those words from the other – but? Perhaps more so then anything, it was surprising to hear someone say something to eerily familiar to her own thoughts. She remembered everything she’d done while working for the IGA LEAGUE OF FIVE, she remembered betraying the team that welcomed her back nowadays… ( some more warily then others, but? that was fair. )
The NUMBNESS that follows when you get what you thought you wanted – was one of the most terrifying things in the world. It was like being adrift. Without a goal, without an anchor . . . for Anastasia, what followed numbness was p a i n. She was welcomed back, but? As a traitor. And the kindness granted her, with or without wanting it? Locked her down like shackles. That was why she was the “BRAVE of ICE” once again. And? After all this time, she was still a TRAITOR in some of their minds. And others have warmed up to her presence once more…
“… though I can understand how you felt to an extent, and I’m glad that it’s been a learning experience for you, I’m sorry that you felt that way to begin with.” Nothing was worse than feeling “EMPTY” – abandoned. In her life she’d felt that way several times. And somehow, people always reached out to her.
Even after she’d made mistakes. “Do you want to elaborate? You must want to talk… at least to an extent, to offer these words so willingly. I’m more than happy to hear you out, if you want to talk. Though I certainly don’t know if I can offer you any worthwhile advice.” Anastasia was similar – having a FROZEN HEART years before, due to her own person grudges and anger. And holding onto a HOPE she knew should have died. She’d tortured herself these ways, she knew the person who’d made the mistake was her. And? It’d consumed her for some time. However, she already had a history of being that “ODD WOMAN” according to Yuna… so at the very least, perhaps, she could hear her out.
