I pointed this out in a Discord server I'm in and thought Id share here:

Bob Iger announced that Disney is going to absorb Hulu, and Hulu will no longer exist next year. All shows will move to the Disney+ app.

Disney also announced they were going to remove shows and movies periodically from their streaming services.

I believe both of these moves are because of the Writers Strike.

Disney knows its going to lose the strike. There is too much public support. Specifically, the WGA is going to win writers getting more residuals from streaming.

So if Disney takes shows off of streaming, they dont have to pay the writers the residuals.

They are going to use excuses like "not enough funding for the server capacity" or "not enough views to warrent keeping the show". These are BULLSHIT. Its all greed. Its only GREED.

Pay attention to what happens in the following weeks.

And keep supporting the writers' strike.

a quick word about the writers guild strike, for those of you who currently AREN'T guild members but would like to be one day: the WGA has always strongly enforced its right to ban from future membership any non-member who crosses the picket line and engages in scab writing, aka writing for any of the struck companies during the WGA strike.

so if you're seeing job openings for screenwriters at places like netflix, amazon, paramount, etc and you're thinking "hey, maybe i'll apply and get my foot in the door," just know that you WILL be scabbing and you WILL be barred from ever obtaining WGA membership. permanently.

The Heritage Foundation said they will use KOSA to target LGBT kids, specifically trans kids because it gives state attorney generals full power to restrict content they deem "harmful". In a post-Roe world, they will even use KOSA to censor resources on abortion, LGBT resources, and anything they dislike will be targeted. Republicans have called anything trans "grooming" which led to a shooting. We shouldn't give them this power online.

A bill this huge and this impactful should not be added to any spending bill. Even if it was a small bill, it has nothing to do with the omnibus spending bill and shouldn’t be added at ALL. It needs more time being discussed. There should be hearings on it as well

We all care about kids mental health. We all want to hold Big Tech accountable, but this is NOT it. This will give Big Tech more power while taking away resources from the most vulnerable children. It is not the solution.

Since I wasn't able to complete most of my plans this past weekend, I figured I'd get to do them this week, especially since I'm off college for spring break. I know I said in the past that I would limit my plans to make things easier for me, but I feel like putting a lot of plans for my spring break as I not only have a lot of fun plans for my spring break, but I also wanna challenge myself to see if I can handle this many plans this time around. Not to mention I did say in a previous week plans post from 3/6 - 3/12 that I would think about tackling some more plans since I have spring break this week. End result: One crossed out, the others I have yet to do. But I guess as the old saying goes, "School comes first". That, and my self-ship fantasies and an RP with a friend of mine on Twitter also contributed to me not getting the other stuff done. Not to sound like I'm being hard on myself, but to me, this feels like Season 4 of Winx Club where the first half is bagged down by petty romantic squabbles and miscommunications, and while my fantasies and RPs aren't bad (especially not as bad as the former), I do wish I could find time for both those and my other interests and hobbies, such as my drawing and writing.

Additional Plans:

Ok so, new plan then: Interview some self-shippers and ask them how they manage to find time for both their self-ships and their personal interests and hobbies (both on Twitter and Tumblr).

And also make a list in one of my notebooks and playlist of art videos to watch on YouTube for inspiration on my art, plus watch some art videos I've been meaning to watch for awhile now.

Also, side note: I plan on making a post about my spring break plans for next week. In addition, whatever plans doesn't get done this weekend, I can (hopefully) do them over spring break.

Results: Same as before: One crossed off, three WIPs. Not quite proud of myself on that. Fuck, now I'm being hard on myself, again. While I still believe that the results could've been handled a little better with enough focus, I do need to stop being so harsh on myself. But I do need to give myself tough love and constructive criticism when needed. Note to self: add less plans to week plans so that I don't have too many plans to avoid biting off more than I can chew and I can manage the amount I can. Also, another note to self: any additional plans not originally on the list will be added as "additional plans" in progress reblog, likely to be renamed as progress report.

Plus, it felt like an episode in a show where there's too much crammed into a single or few episodes. So, I decided to do these plans I didn't get to do this week, at least hopefully, that is. If not, then next week it is.

Also, today's my 19th birthday!!! Happy Birthday to Me!!! :) ^^
