PLEASE i love this-
Carmen: Everyone’s parents seem to have a cute story of how they met, and meanwhile my parents met when my mother was running from the police and jumped onto the back of my father’s motorcycle screaming, “Drive fucking drive!”
i’m sleepy and tired and cozy yet despite all of those hardships i find the energy to be whimsical

I love when a show has a cast of younger characters and the older, more experienced generation that came before them. The older generation is always entertaining and Inside Job got the most entertaining oldies.
JR has come to be my absolute favourite. Between him moving his employees’ pensions to his own account to buy a Bond villain’s evil lair, buying a dating app to blackmail the users, always carrying a sword for human sacrifices, being a sub, getting gangbanged by Illuminati people, repeatedly throwing himself on his knees in front of everybody in desperate situations, having a very diverse group as his top people and appointing a part asian woman to be his successor, you get a picture of a fun loving, power hungry, bottom bisexual man who cheated, murdered and slept his way to the top with zero shame but also happens to be all for equality. He’s an absolute treasure.
Take note: if people are unsure if your character had sex with the main character’s dad and/or Oprah you’ve done something right.
love this casting !! Always thought Briane Tju would be the perfect cinder but im liking alexa loo as well!
Here's part 1 with Cinder, Kai, Scarlet and Wolf!
She's supposed to be mixed, so I picked:
Olivia Rodrigo (2003. American. White/pacific islander: filipina)
Alexa Loo (2003. Canadian. White/east asian: chinese)
Cha Eunwoo (1997. Korean. Note: not fluent in English)
Xiao Dejun (1999. Chinese. Note: semi-fluent in English. Tiny note: as a fan of him I think he would really like to act in something YA-like where he gets to play a prince)
They are both mostly singers/dancers but it's what I could find
Kyra Leroux (2001/2002?. Canadian. Note: fluent in French)
Francesca Capaldi (2004. American)
Youssef Sawmah (1997. Lebanese/egyptian. Note: not an actor but a model)
Faris Al Bahri (age unknown but most likely 20-25. Lebanese).
I wanted to try and make an updated 2021 version that was as age-accurate and ethnicity-accurate as possible, so those two were my main criteria. So if they look a little too young it's because yeah the characters are pretty young in the books.
After that I considered acting experience, fluency in english (bc I imagine if this were to really happen it would be a Hollywood production ya know) and then physical appearance matching the canon description.
I put two options for each character, one usually a little older than the other so I basically ended up making two full(?) fancasts, for most of them the younger actor is more age-accurate.
This was very hard oh my god I spent like 3 weeks researching like it was homework for absolutely no reason
Shoutout to everyone on tumblr and tiktok that has ever made a fancast because I probably looked through ALL of them (special shoutout to tiktok user @/sista.krista, she started making a good one a while ago but unfortunately only did a few characters)
Also note: I didn't consider the "book trailers" existing on youtube bc I don't really like them lol
Also I tried to avoid actors who were problematic but I'm not super sure I did well on that, you can always inform me! I'd be grateful
Part 2:
Omg it's my three favourite idiots
