Did I spend 2 hours straight hunched over my desk like a shrimp animating this fight scene from the anime last night? Maybe.

Anyways, I was rewatching Wind Breaker (dubbed version - it’s amazing you should check it out!) and saw this fight scene and I just had to practice animating again.

Eggs - Any! Whether it’s scrambled, fried, boiled or as an omelette I will devour it (I would 100% also have it with rice)

Why is no one in the fandom asking for Sakura's full backstory!? He is the MC ....

We basically don't know anything about his background

I think you'll find a lot of people are asking for Sakura's background in the fandom. But, at least for me, I'm willing to wait for it, for when it makes sense in the story. Nii-sensei is an excellent writer, and I'm sure whatever they have planned for the Sakura backstory reveal will be emotionally satisfying (devastating?) and impactful.

I want to focus a bit on other projects that will include Fanfics, drawings, original stories, and maybe even music. I was hyper fixated on writing the AU when I first started, but the hype has gone a bit away, and I don't want to force it and make it less good. Again, I hope you guys understand.

Heya, asks are not a bother at all! I was actually quite surprised someone even left an ask 🤣

I've never done art requests but I am happy to start. So yes, art requests are OPEN!

As for what I accept to draw... since I mainly post fanart, let's just keep it to fandoms I'm interested in. (I do have a ton of anime/manga I LOVE and would totally draw art for but have yet to make fanart... maybe I should include a section in my pinned post about fandoms I'm in??)

[Chapter 2]

At café Pothos, Sakura, Kotoha and Umemiya are having breakfast. Kotoha cooked some omelettes for them, while Umemiya and Sakura are competing to see who can finish first.

— Guys, slow down!— she yells, uselessly trying to stop them. She sighs, and then turns to Sakura and asks— Do you play guitar, Saku?

Sakura looks at her and asks, with a mouthful of omelette:

— Why you asking me that?

She looks at him, and then points at the guitar case right next to him.

— Well I thought that, since Ume is in the school band, I could give him my old guitar— he says, hiding his face because of the blushing.

—Awwwwww, Saku— shouts Umemiya— There's no need to. We have guitars to spare in the band room.

— Yeah, it's kinda obvious that a band would, at least, have a guitar— points out Kotoha— And you still didn't answer my question. Do you play guitar or not?

Sakura stops for a moment, then he takes out the guitar and starts tuning it.

— So you do— says Kotoha, excited— Could you play something for us?

— What?! No— shouts Sakura, embarrassed at the request.

— Please— says Umemiya with puppy eyes— how about you play us your favourite song?

Both of them continued pressuring more and more, until Sakura finally gave in. He starts playing:

— It was, right?— adds Umemiya, excited— Are you sure you don't want to join the ba--

At that moment, a boy wearing an eye patch burst into the café. Kotoha instantly turns around to greet him, but ,before she could say his name, the boy walks up to Sakura and says:

— Name's Leonardo d'Caprio, and I just want to say, you have an amazing voice. Would you be interested in forming a band with me?

— Huh?— exclaims Sakura, not noticing the compliment— Are you dumb or something? Who even are you?

— Didn't you hear me?— asks the boy— Name's Leonardo d'Caprio.

Sakura ponders for a second and then says:

— So an exchanged student. He-llo my Na-me is Sa-ku-ra. It is a plea-su-re to me-et y-ou.

— No, no. I was actually born here in Japan— says the boy— Both my parents are also Japanese, actually.

— Huh? Are you playing tricks on me?— asks Sakura, embarrassed by his bad English.

After that, Umemiya intervines saying:

— You must be Suo Hayato, right?

— Yes, some people do call me that— says the boy.

— Well... if you're thinking of joining a band, the school band is more than welcome!— Umemiya says smiling.

— Really? Are you also in that band, "Sa-ku-ra"?— says Suo, mockingly.

— Stop joking around! If you know Japanese, then there's no reason for you to be saying my name like that!— yells Sakura— And, for your information, I haven't decided yet.

— Come on, Saku!— pleads Umemiya.

— I'll think about it once I see the other members, understood?— says Sakura, not noticing the mess he just caused.

Both Umemiya and Kotoha stop for a second. Then, Kotoha says:

— Well... Here's the thing...

— There aren't exactly any other band members— says Umemiya, embarrassed of his forgetfulness— There are no second years interested in joining, and the third years can only act as coaches, as per school rules.

— Huh?!— exclaims Sakura— And you only say that NOW?!

— However— continues Umemiya— If both of you join the band, I'm sure more will follow.

Sakura sighs, and then, he turns to Suo and asks:

— Can you play any instrument?

— The bass— he answers.

— Can you sing?— Sakura asks.

— I can, mostly just slow songs, but it depends on my mood— Suo answers one last time before asking a question himself— Do YOU know how to play an electric guitar, Sakura?

— Yes, I do— says Sakura.

— Then let's join the band together— says Suo, with a smile on his face.

Sakura sighs, smashes his head on the table and then says:

— I hate to agree with him... but I'm in.

— YUUUUUPPIIIIIII!!— shouts Umemiya, overjoyed.

— However...— continues Sakura— If there isn't at least 3 other members within 2 months of school starting, I get to join the Fighting Club instead.

Umemiya ponders for a bit and then responds:

— All right it's a deal! But, be informed, I won't make it easy on you, Saku.

— Do your worst!— responds Sakura.

[Chapter 1]

Sakura Haruka, a 15 year old boy who was born with an interesting but odd appearance. His hair is half black half white, and his right eye is blue while his left eye is yellow. His been bullied for almost his whole life because of that, so, as a way to shut those bullies mouths, he learned to fight. He was so good at it that the people of his town started calling him a monster. Those were rough times to Sakura. But one day, while one of his bullies fell to the ground with his punches, said bullie dropped something, a CD. Curious as a cat, Sakura asked:

— Why would you carry this with you while fighting? Are you trying to damage it or somethin'?

— It's for my sister.— said the bullie, trying to get out of Sakura's enemy list— She's in the hospital and music is the only way that she'll stop cryin'.

Sakura was intrigued by this. He liked music already, but he had never thought of it as a way to relieve stress.

— Hey, you!— yelled Sakura— What store did you get this from?

— From the store down the street— said the bullie, not noticing Sakura's obvious blush— Just, please let me go. I'll never do that again.

At this point Sakura wasn't even listening, as he walked away, going in the direction the bullie pointed to.

Once he got in, he silently walked to the counter.

— Where's the rock music section?— he mumbled, barely understandable.

— What? —The girl on the counter asked, teasingly— You'll have to speak up.

WHERE'S THE TOCK MUSIC SECTION? —he yelled, with a burning red blush.

That's more like it!— she said, laughing— It's the one more at the right.

Sakura quickly turns around, walking really fast to said section.

He picks up a CD, and comes back to the counter.

— Ya know...— says the girl— If you really like music, you should come to Furin High. We have an amazing band that'd be more than happy to let you join.

—Huh!— says Sakura, perplexed by the straightforwardness of the girl— I don't like it that much! And you shouldn't go making assumptions like that about people you don't even know!— he picks his new CD, and sprints at the door, before suddenly stopping— I'm already enlisted at that school anyway.

Sakura walks out. The girl smiles and yells:

—Then see you there!

Two months pass by, and Sakura has turned into a regular at the CD store. Over the course of those two months, he has accumulated an amount of 30 different CDs.

—How do you even get enough money to buy so many CDs?— Asks the girl that works at the CD store, worried about his financial situation.

— It's not like I'm stealing it from anyone, nor something like that!— responds Sakura, worried that he'd be judged.

—Dude, no one said anything about stealing.— She said, trying to figure out what led him to such answer.

—KOTOHA!!

They hear a deafening loud shout coming from outside.

— Who's that?! —asked Sakura, a bit scared of such vocal strength— Is it someone tryna to pick a fight?!

The girl sighs, then she turns to Sakura and says:

— No it isn't. Just come with me please.

They both leave the store and are immediately met with around 20 people outside. Sakura changes to a fighting stance, prepared to fight. The girl stops him, gets closer to the man at the front of the crowd. She raises her hand, and SLAPS him.

— How many times have I told you to knock on the door when you need me? Huh?— she yells her lungs out, while raising her hand preparing to slap him again.

— I'm so sorry Kotoha,— he replies— I just didn't want to let them out here waiting so long.— then, he holds her left hand and says— Could you please open the restaurant for us, we're starving.

She promptly slaps him again with her right hand. Then she says:

—Give me five minutes.

After she closed the CD shop, she goes up to the door of the café right beside it, and opens the door. All of them go in and sit down. Sakura goes in as well, confused about everything that's going on.

— Umemiya, meet Sakura. He is the guy that frequents the CD store daily.— Kotoha then turns to Sakura— Sakura, meet Umemiya. He's the one that manages both the fighting club and the band from Furin High.

— Nice to meet you Sakura!— says Umemiya, bursting with joy— So, what kind of music do you listen to?

— R-ro-rock music— answers Sakura, still trying to get a grasp on the situation.

— Hahah!— he laughs— Seems like this year's students all have the same taste. Well, Sakura, if you ever want to try playing an instrument or even singing, just come to the club room. We'd be all happy to teach you.

Sakura fervorsly blushes. He then sprints out while yelling:

— I'll think about it!

So I’ve been thinking more about this Band AU

After practice:

Sakura would not survive practice.

Doodling Sakura and listening to ‘The Vanished People’ and ‘Arctic Monkeys’ was an absolute vibe; 10/10 experience would do again
