Attempted a wet on wet alla prima technique. I made the undercoat too thick and it got a bit sloppy/muddy.

You can always tell a Texan, you just can't tell him much.
I recently watched the Netflix documentary on ZZTop. The band's publicist explained how the band got the nickname"The lil ole band from Texas" It was penned by a music critic who meant it as a dis. However, the members of the band loved it and wanted to use it as a slogan. The publicist fearing there was a disconnect between the band and their audience met with each member individually. After extensive interviews with each member the publicist's conclusion was, "These guys think they are from a different country!" "They have their own founding fathers, not George Washington and Thomas Jefferson." "They have their own unique history" The film then cuts to Dusty Hill explaining how as kids we learn Texas history before American history. Afterward ZZTop launched the very successful "World Wide Texas Tour" They had livestock on stage with them. A long horn steer, a buffalo, they even had live buzzards perched above the drum kit. I got to see ZZTop live much later, after the Eliminator album. The had a moving sidewalk, and a working car crusher on stage. Tell me what was the best concert you have ever seen.
