Analyzing my best friend of all time @tragiteas favorite Mitski song: Eric
Eric is what I would imagine giving yourself up just to have a little part of someone else. "You like control well I do too" You like having control over me and I like control too but I'm willing to give it up just for more over you and seeing you even slightly vulnerable. "This view of you, of the top of your head makes me forgive you." Seeing you raw is enough for me to forgive you.
It can be seen as friends with benefits. "I'm tired I'm tired of not loving you." I'm tired of not being able to love you outwardly. I'm tired of having to keep the love I have for you to myself. "But I know I know I know the rules" you want something casual and I can't over step that if I don't want to leave. The friend however might feel the same and might not want to take things further because of how the public might view it. "But your skin, did you notice your skin? It cries a soft weep like mine." It could be a person who's in a higher social standing than Mitski or another woman who's not out.
Not my greatest analysis but I wanted to do something nice for Emilee
Hey *hand on shoulder* you know that Greece, along with most of the balkan countries, has been under ottoman turkish rule for more than 400 years? You know that Greece today has many economic problems today, despite it's history being rich?
You know that Greece is very prone to forest fires and natural disasters?
Also, do you know that Greece, along with Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Montenegro... They are all protesting against corruption, and no one talked about it.
You talk about wanting to have temples to worship in modern day, but you don't care about the land that those temples would be built on?
Greece may be an Orthodox Christian country. But trust me, the gods are still very much living there. Their spirit is still there. Poseidon is still ruling the waves, Zeus is still watching over in the sky, Demeter is taking care of the crops.
All i am asking is... Spread awareness. I am saying this on behalf of my greek friend, firstly, who has complained to me about their issues not being heard. LEARN HISTORY. STUDY CURRENT WORLD EVENTS. SEND LOVE TO THE LAND OF GREECE, WHO HAS ENDURED GREAT HARDSHIPS.
can never understand the “I miss s1 spencer before he was traumatised ☹️” comments - sorry, the s1 spencer whose father walked out on him and left him with his mentally unstable mother? the s1 spencer who practically had to raise himself and sacrifice his childhood to care for his mother? the s1 spencer who blocked out so much of his childhood he had to consider his own father having molested him? the s1 spencer who, as a child, was approached by a predator to play chess? the s1 spencer w memories so traumatic he blocked them out and would need hypnosis to uncover them? the s1 spencer who was in college from age 12 in a social environment filled with only people much older than him, leaving him completely isolated from all the experiences most share during college? the s1 spencer who was mercilessly bullied w physical violence and general cruelty like when he was stripped naked and tied to a pole by kids we can assume were much older than him due to how quickly he progressed through school? the s1 spencer who has felt like an outcast his entire life through no fault of his own? the s1 spencer who is afraid to visit his mother in her facility bc he knows how distressed she can become and it hurts him too much? the s1 spencer who has never had a single person (from what we’ve seen) truly enjoy his company without becoming irritated by his ramblings of relevant trivia, apart from his mother? - THAT “un-traumatised” s1 spencer ????????????
the implication that he wasn’t traumatised until he joined the BAU erases how hard he worked to get that job and WHY. his career is the result of his childhood trauma and who that turned him into; what he grew up learning and observing, the understanding he had that he could use to help other mentally unstable people from hurting themselves/others. we’ve NEVER SEEN an “un-traumatised” spencer and we never will. he’s not some untainted baby fresh out the womb in season 1. he’s notably LESS traumatised than in later seasons, but he still has A LOT of trauma.
highly doubt he’d compare getting kidnapped to having to institutionalise his own mother as soon as he was of the legal age to do so.
I'll be real, y'all.
I don't see an ultra-nationalist opening a temple to Pan and Zeus in Arcadia as a Helpol win.
I see it as a stain that we will have to grapple with for time immemorial.
Heck, the people celebrating its opening—more likely than not—wouldn't be allowed anywhere near it.
Greeks only. You know, since it was opened by an ULTRA-NATIONALIST.
if you hate ai that much for stealing your work, why won't you quit writing fan fiction with licensed characters. you write with characters that are not even yours, so quit using somebody else's work right?
Hi Anon, my reasonings for hating AI span far and wide, my issues with work being stolen is more closely associated with c.ai creators who are stealing fics from Tumblr and feeding them into c.ai. The legal leg that I would have to stand on in regard to making a claim against a company like Open AI stealing my work would be shaky at best. The issue of AI stealing work spans further than the world of fanfiction. I would recommend looking into The New York Times v. Open AI to learn more about the issues with stealing work and feeding it to generative AI platforms. I've linked the filing for you to read, since you're so interested in this argument.
I assume you've read this post by my friend, you might even be the Anonymous User who started the discussion. For the sake of time, I'm going to try to refrain from repeating anything that she's already covered. However, I'm under the impression that you've chosen to avoid looking into the information and sources that she so kindly provided for you. Much like her, I'm going to provide you with answers to the best of my ability as well as sources. I'll be focusing on intellectual property laws, which is what you begin to graze the surface of in your ask.
I don't use trademarked material in my fanfiction, this would be a logo or audio that has been registered by Criminal Minds or, more specifically, CBS and Paramount Global. Therefore, I have to assume the "license" you're talking about is referring to copyright, but if you elect to have this argument with someone else in the future, I would refine your language. A copyright license is typically something granted by the copyright holder to a third party. This would be used for functions such as secondary transmissions of previously aired television, I've linked the U.S. Copyright Office's information on it for you.
You're right, the character's I write about are not mine, unless you're including the different "_!reader" variations that I use, which I would consider to be mine. If you're wondering whether or not I can do that, the answer is yes. Despite the fact that I do not own the copyright nor do I have any specific licensing to write fanfiction, my work is still protected because it is my intellectual property. This argument can be considered a slippery slope, and it is earlier to use other defenses should it come to that. Additionally, I feel it is pertinent to mention that registering copyright is completely voluntary, the main benefit of registering with the U.S. Copyright Office is that it enables you to bring up infringement suits.
Now, if CBS did see my fanfiction and decided to do something about it, their first course of action would be to issue a cease and desist. At which point, I would remove the work they refer to in the letter from my blog and no further action would be taken. Cease and desist is generally the first course of action in intellectual property dispute, exceptions may be held for trade secrets. Now, you don't need to play IP Vigilante for them, CBS is a multimedia conglomerate worth almost two billion dollars. I'm sure they appreciate your concern, but they're doing just fine, even with my fanfiction in the world. If you wish to bring this to their attention, their website asks for copyright concerns to be sent to the following:
CBS Interactive Inc. Attn. Designated Agent 680 Folsom Street San Francisco, CA 94017 designatedagent@cbs.com phone: (415) 344-2000 fax: (415) 344-1241
Now, what would they do following a cease and desist? Say I'm so impertinent that I don't allow CBS/Paramount to intimidate me into deleting my fanfiction from Tumblr. In copyright infringement cases, the burden of proof falls on the plaintiff, in this case CBS/Paramount, and they would need to prove that they have a valid ownership of the copyright, that the defendant (me) copied the work, and that such copying constitutes unlawful appropriation. My argument would be that fanfiction falls under fair use. In order to prove that the copying is unlawful, they would need to go through the Four Factor Fair Use Test:
The purpose and character of your use.
The nature of the copyrighted work.
The amount and substantiality of the portion taken, and
The effect of the use upon the potential market.
Note: A factor test means that only one "factor" would need to be satisfied for judges to make a decision. This is different than an element test where every "element" needs to be satisfied. Jennifer M. Romig & Mark Burge, Legal Literacy and Communication Skills: Working with Law and Lawyers (2020).
With all of this in mind, let me remind you that I don't make money off of fanfiction and I have no interest in making money off of fanfiction. It's acknowledged by IP Law professionals that fanfiction writers and copyright owners have a symbiotic relationship that only breaks down when fanfiction writers begin to charge for their work. This happens more often when fans dabble in visual media, which I'll address in the next paragraph. Things like fanfiction and edits have improved the defendant's argument, as I oftentimes see people say that fanfiction or fanart or fan edits encourage people to watch Criminal Minds. Furthermore, even acknowledging that I'm not the original owner of those copyrights wouldn't protect me from an infringement claim, which is a very common misconception.
Do I think it's likely that CBS/Paramount would ever sue a fanfiction writer on the basis of copyright infringement? No, I really don't. The main reason for that is that the publicity would not reflect well on the company. Company's do a lot to save face, and this would be an instance of that. While Paramount has never issued guidelines on fan-produced media regarding Criminal Minds, in 2016 they issued guidelines on fan produced media regarding Star Trek. These guidelines were released by the company and clearly states "CBS and Paramount Pictures are big believers in reasonable fan fiction and fan creativity." This statement came in the wake of a Kickstarter that raised $638,000 to create a full-length feature film set in the Star Trek universe. Now, maybe I'm just being humble, but I don't think my Tumblr blog has the same reach as that Kickstarter. It is for this reason that I believe my fanfiction falls under the "reasonable" umbrella provided by CBS and Paramount Pictures. If you still want to report me, I'd recommend looking into reporting the thousands of users under the "criminal minds fanfiction" tag on Tumblr and the 39,029 works tagged with "Criminal Minds (US TV)" on Archive of Our Own as well. If CBS were to bring legal action against me, they'd be setting a precedent for every other fan creator out there, you might as well point them in the right direction.
You may also notice that I've been heavily dependent on U.S. Copyright Law, this is because CBS is located in the U.S. and no other reason.
Finally, I want to take a moment to tell you that nothing produced by artificial intelligence can be protected by intellectual property laws. The U.S. Copyright Office has been unwavering in their refusal "to register copyrights for artworks created by artificial intelligence systems. The prima facie reason is a lack of authorship because the U.S. copyright regime recognizes only humans as authors" (Wang, 2024). If you're interested in learning more about this, I'd recommend looking at the Copyright Act of 1976 and the Lanham Act (Trademark Act of 1946) because those are two forms of intellectual property that people come into contact with most often, in my opinion.
Next time you choose to argue with someone over the law, I'd fact check your materials before submitting an anonymous message. I'd also recommend making sure they don't have a master's degree in legal studies. This topic is not open for debate until you come to me full educated on what you wish to discuss and further messages will be deleted on the basis of your own ignorance. I know exactly what I'm doing when I write things on Tumblr, do you?
Best,
Margot
honestly, the whole ai fight or disagreement thing is kinda insane. we’re seeing the same pattern that happened when the first advanced computers and laptops came out. people went on the theory that they’d replace humans, but in the end, they just became tools. the same thing happened in the arts. writing, whether through books or handwritten texts, has survived countless technological revolutions from ancient civilizations to our modern world.
you’re writing and sharing your work through a phone, so being against ai sounds a little hypocritical. you might as well quit technology altogether and go 100 percent analog. it’s a never ending cycle. every time there’s a new tech revolution, people act like we’re living in the terminator movies even though we don’t even have flying cars yet. ai is just ai and it’s crappy. people assume the worst but like everything before it it will probably just end up being another tool because people is now going to believe anything, nowadays.
Okay so...no. It's never that black and white. Otherwise I could argue that you might as well go 100% technological and never touch grass again. Which sounds just as silly. There are many problems with AI and it's more than just 'robots taking over'. It's actually a deeper conversation about equity, ethics, environmentalism, corruption and capitalism. That's an essay I'm not sure a lot of people are willing to read, otherwise they would be doing their own research on this. I'll sum it up the best I can.
DISCLAIMER As usual I am not responsible for my grammar errors, this was written and posted in one go and I did not look back even once. I'm not a professional source. I just want to explain this and put this discussion to rest on my blog. Please do your own research as well.
There's helpful advancement tools and there's harmful advancement tools. I would argue that AI falls into the latter for a few of reasons.
It's not 'just AI', it's a tool weaponised for more harm than good: Obvious examples include deep fakes and scamming, but here's more incase you're interested.
A more common nuisance is that humans now have to prove that they are not AI. More specifically, writers and students are at risk of being accused of using AI when their work reads more advance that basic writing criteria. I dealt with this just last year actually. I had to prove that the essay I dedicated weeks of my time researching, writing and gathering citations for was actually mine.
I have mutuals that have been accused of using AI because their writing seems 'too advanced' or whatever bs. Personally, I feel that an AI accusation is more valid when the words are more hollow and lack feeling (as AI ≠ emotional intelligence), not when a writer 'sounds too smart'.
"You're being biased."
Okay, here is an unbiased article for you. Please don't forget to take note of the fact that the negative is all stuff that can genuinely ruin lives and the positive is stuff that makes tasks more convenient. This is the trend in every article I've read.
Equity, ethics, corruption, environmentalism and capitalism:
Maybe there could be a world where AI is able to improve and truly help humans, but in this capitalistic world I don't see it being a reality. AI is not the actual problem in my eyes, this is. Resources are finite and lacking amongst humans. The wealthy hoard them for personal comfort and selfish innovations leading to more financial gain, instead of sharing them according to need. Capitalism is another topic of its own and I want to keep my focus on AI specifically so here are some sources on this topic. I highly recommend skimming through them at least.
> Artificial Intelligence and the Black Hole of Capitalism: A More-than-Human Political Ethology > Exploiting the margin: How capitalism fuels AI at the expense of minoritized groups > Rethinking of Marxist perspectives on big data, artificial intelligence (AI) and capitalist economic development
I want to circle back to your first paragraph and just dissect it really quick.
"we’re seeing the same pattern that happened when the first advanced computers and laptops came out. people went on the theory that they’d replace humans, but in the end, they just became tools."
One quick google search gives you many articles explaining that and deeming this statement irrelevant to this discussion. I think this was more a case of inexperience with the internet and online data. The generations since are more experienced/familiar with this sort of technology. You may have heard of 'once it's out there it can never be deleted' pertaining to how nothing can be deleted off the internet. I do not think you're stupid anon, I think you understand this and how dangerous it truly is. Especially with the rise in weaponisation of AI. I'm going to link some quora and reddit posts (horrible journalism ik but luckily I'm not a journalist), because taking personal opinions from people who experienced that era feels important.
> Quora | When the internet came out, were people afraid of it to a similar degree that people are afraid of AI? > Reddit | Were people as scared of computers when they were a new thing, as they are about AI now? > Reddit | Was there hysteria surrounding the introduction of computers and potential job losses?
"the same thing happened in the arts. writing, whether through books or handwritten texts, has survived countless technological revolutions from ancient civilizations to our modern world."
I think this is a logical guess based on pattern recognition. I cannot find any sources to back this up. Either that or you mean to say that artists and writers are not being harmed by AI. Which would be a really ignorant statement.
We know about stolen content from creatives (writers, artists, musicians, etc) to train AI. Everybody knows exactly why this is wrong even if they're not willing to admit it to themselves.
Let's use writers for example. The work writers put out there is used without their consent to train AI for improvement. This is stealing. Remember the very recent issue of writer having to state that they do not consent to their work being uploaded or shared anywhere else because of those apps stealing it and putting it behind a paywall?
I shouldn't have to expand further on why this is a problem. Everybody knows exactly why this is wrong even if they're not willing to admit it to themselves. If you're still wanting to argue it's not going to be with me, here are some sources to help you out.
> AI, Inspiration, and Content Stealing > ‘Biggest act of copyright theft in history’: thousands of Australian books allegedly used to train AI model > AI Detectors Get It Wrong. Writers Are Being Fired Anyway
"you’re writing and sharing your work through a phone, so being against ai sounds a little hypocritical. you might as well quit technology altogether and go 100 percent analog."
...
"it’s a never ending cycle. every time there’s a new tech revolution, people act like we’re living in the terminator movies even though we don’t even have flying cars yet."
Yes there is usually a general fear of the unknown. Take covid for example and how people were mass buying toilet paper. The reason this statement cannot be applied here is due to evidence of it being an actual issue. You can see AI's effects every single day. Think about AI generated videos on facebook (from harmless hope core videos to proaganda) that older generations easily fall for. With recent developments, it's actually becoming harder for experienced technology users to differentiate between the real and fake content too. Do I really need to explain why this is a major, major problem?
> AI-generated images already fool people. Why experts say they'll only get harder to detect. > Q&A: The increasing difficulty of detecting AI- versus human-generated text > New results in AI research: Humans barely able to recognize AI-generated media
"ai is just ai and it’s crappy. people assume the worst but like everything before it it will probably just end up being another tool because people is now going to believe anything, nowadays."
AI is man-made. It only knows what it has been fed from us. Its intelligence is currently limited to what humans know. And it's definitely not as intelligent as humans because of the lack of emotional intelligence (which is a lot harder to program because it's more than math, repetition and coding). At this stage, I don't think AI is going to replace humans. Truthfully I don't know if it ever can. What I do know is that even if you don’t agree with everything else, you can’t disagree with the environmental factor. We can't really have AI without the resources to help run it.
Which leads us back to: finite number of resources. I'm not sure if you're aware of how much water and energy go into running even generative AI, but I can tell you that it's not sustainable. This is important because we're already in an irrevocable stage of the climate crisis and scientists are unsure if Earth as we know it can last another decade, let alone century. AI does not help in the slightest. It actually adds to the crisis, we're just uncertain to what degree at this point. It's not looking good though.
I am not against AI being used as a tool if it was sustainable. You can refute all my other arguments, but you can't refute this. It's a fact and your denial or lack of care won't change the outcome.
My final and probably the most insignificant reason on this list but it matters to me: It’s contributing to humans becoming dumber and lazier.
It's no secret that humans are declining in intelligence. What makes AI so attractive is its ability to provide quick solutions. It gathers the information we're looking for at record speed and saves us the time of having to do the work ourselves.
And I suppose that is the point of invention, to make human life easier. I am of the belief that too much is of anything is every good, though. Too much hardship is not good but neither is everything being too easy. Problem solving pushes intellectual growth, but it can't happen if we never solver our own problems.
Allowing humans to believe that they can stop learning to do even basic tasks (such as writing an email, learning to cite sources, etc) because 'AI can do it for you' is not helping us. This is really just more of a personal grievance and therefore does not matter. I just wanted to say it.
"What about an argument for instances where AI is more helpful than harmful?"
I would love for you to write about it and show me because unfortunately in all my research on this topic, the statistics do not lean in favour of that question. Of course there's always pros and cons to everything. Including phones, computers, the internet, etc. There are definitely instances of AI being helpful. Just not to the scale or same level of impact of all the negatives. And when the bad outweighs the good it's not something worst keeping around in my opinion.
In a perfect world, AI would take over the boring corporate tasks and stuff so that humans can enjoy life– recreation, art and music– as we were meant to. However in this capitalist world, that is not a possiblility and AI is killing joy and abolish AI and AI users DNI and I will probably not be talking about this anymore and if you want to send hate to my inbox on this don't bother because I'll block your anon and you won't get a response to feed your eristicism and you can never send anything anonymous again💙
appreciation post for my mom, @amanda-farley
(very much a belated thank you for letting me convince you to install tumblr)
Where do I even begin? I feel like I could write years worth of passages when it concerns you. It feels as if ever since you cradled me in those arms that had once held yourself together, you and I were history waiting to be written. Maybe that’s presumptuous of me, but I think I have always been a little presumptuous. Especially when it concerns you. (If I had to count the amount of times people have told me I defended you a bit too much, I fear we would be here for quite a while.)
You have always been my biggest supporter, even when at times it didn’t feel as if you were. You would let my much smaller hands dig my nails into your skin when I felt as of if I was about to burst because of my anxiety, and you still do when that anxiety sneaks back up on me years later. You catered to my odd hyperfixations, like when I was young and was obsessed with mustaches (yes, I still remember that pink dress that was covered with mustaches). How, instead of yelling at me for drawing on the walls, you only scolded me gently into not doing it again and complimented my handiwork. How when you argued with your ex husband you took me out for popsicles, because you had tried for those arguments not to happen in front of me. How when you couldn’t see me for my tenth birthday so you bought me presents and a cake and had set them in front of the door.
Even when your addiction kept dragging you, you still made sure that I knew that you loved me. The way you had held me after my second attempt, letting me get snot all over your shirt. I remember how you defended me from people, how you were the only person who actually decided to listen and do something. I remember you picking me up from school with my reoccurring headaches, telling me that everything will be okay and that you’re sorry. How you held my hand when I had laid in that emergency car. How you never fail to remind me that I am strong, that my experiences does not reflect who I am as a person and who I may turn out to be. How you continue to love and support me through it all.
I think one of the hardest parts of growing is knowing you’re also growing, knowing that one day you won’t be living in a world that once knew how you had felt. I fear for that day, but it also helps me appreciate you more in the present. Hearing your voice brings me back to the present. Knowing you’re out there, being yourself, fills me with joy.
Knowing that, that in at least this world and this lifetime, you are my mom. And that is a blessing and a miracle all in one. A life of us, of mother and child. A life of love and pain.
A life that is unmistakably human.

I genuinely love the gods. I only hope I can consistently do better for them. I want to achieve and do so much for them. I want to actually live life because of them, not as in keep living, but to LIVE. To be slow and enjoy nature. To enjoy the long days. The gods make me want to enjoy the sun, the smell of a cool wind, to feel rain on my skin. They make me want to travel, to love, they make life worth living. I love the gods, the ones who give us life and music, who give us storms and rain , the gods who bring laughter, and strength. I love the gods who bring us joy and happiness, the gods who protect us mentally and physically. The gods who make me want to be the absolute best version of myself. I love the gods.

design variations for different points in the myth + design notes under the cut 🦋💘
♡ reblogs are very appreciated ^_^ ♡
with psyche i took inspiration from a lot of different places when it comes to her outfits, and it was very fun coming up with them! eros looks a lot like my design for epic!aphrodite :)
notes that didn't make fit there:
my eros and aphrodite designs both have this dyed pastel hair look, and i wanted something similar with psyche so i gave her pastel blue streaks! it's not her entire hair, as a nod to the fact that she was once mortal :)
turns out aphrodite doesn't have those pearl anklets actually but it was too late to fix it lol it's still cute, eros and psyche are matching 💖

Queenly Deo, the sender of splendid gifts 🌾
To Demeter Eleusinia. O universal mother, Deo famed, august, the source of wealth, and various named: great nurse, all-bounteous, blessed and divine, who joyest in peace; to nourish corn is thine. Goddess of seed, of fruits abundant, fair, harvest, and threshing are thy constant care. Lovely delightful queen, by all desired, who dwellest in Eleusis' holy vales retired. Nurse of all mortals, who benignant mind first ploughing oxen to the yoke confined; and gave to men what nature's wants require, with plenteous means of bliss, which all desire. In verdure flourishing, in glory bright, assessor of great Bromios bearing light: rejoicing in the reapers' sickles, kind, whose nature lucid, earthly, pure, we find. Prolific, venerable, nurse divine, thy daughter loving, holy Kore . A car with Drakones yoked 'tis thine to guide, and, orgies singing, round thy throne to ride. Only-begotten, much-producing queen, all flowers are thine, and fruits of lovely green. Bright Goddess, come, with summer's rich increase swelling and pregnant, leading smiling peace; come with fair concord and imperial health, and join with these a needful store of wealth. --- The Orphic hymn to Demeter

Portrait of Demeter, I was mainly practicing working with colors and drew from a lot of artistic references for this. Overall, I'm happy with the piece (despite how rough and messy she still looks) , and I had a lot of fun working on this for her
🌾I hope that everyone is doing well, and may Demeter keep your plate full and your cup overflowing 🌾
Hephaestus and Aglaia
They’re so underrated and I wish ppl would explore their dynamic more instead of trying to fix Hephaestus and Aphrodite’s marriage.
Also there is a story mentioned in the Iliad were Hephaestus was trying to protect Hera from Zeus and in retaliation Zeus grabbed him by the foot and threw him of Olympus, and he landed on Lemnos. Hence the lightning scars.
Hera seducing Zeus
Based on the scene in the Iliad book 14. I followed how it was described + what Hera was wearing but also took some creative liberties.
the most beautiful person ever, my daughter <33
Okay so three days ago I posted myself on TikTok (biggest mistake ever made) and I'll be blunt I am a bigger person however I don't think that should warrant comments such as "nah not lethal just wide" or "have you ever heard of a blob fish". Or "she looks like that kid from hereditary". Now I have thick skin and I usually try to ignore it but it's just so frustrating. I'm not usually hurt by people's words but it takes a lot for me to feel pretty. I just wish there weren't so many standards or high expectations of what a person should look like. I don't know what to say honestly it's just all rather annoying.
Also here's two of the photos I had in the post
I saw a post yesterday saying that someone was surprised people read straight fanfic and it actually had me tweaking out. I ship mainly lesbian ships as I find them the most relatable and most comforting although winners do NOT love winning. I ship straight ships too and I feel like that's how fandom spaces started is the fact that you ship something that wasn't canon. You found two characters that made sense together. Idk just let people ship what they want as long as it's safe sound and consensual. That's my yap session for today.
I know we all make jokes and memes about it, like ‘lol, Trump said we are the gender we were at conception, we’re all female now. 🤪’
but like
that doesn’t…scare you?
This is your administration. This is the knowledge that your government has….and they get high-school biology wrong. This law had to have been cross-read by several people before it was passed.
This is your government.
A bunch of rich fascists who don’t know basic science.
Yo, correct me if I am wrong please, but didn't Hitler rise to power because he promised to fix the German economy and people really liked that so they looked past everything else he was doing??? Like exactly what's happening in America right now???
So many people said they voted for Trump, put a truly evil person in power, because he said he'd fix the economy, and a little voice in my head is going, "Isn't that what happened with fucking Hitler??"
But I've seen no one point that out so maybe I'm miss remembering???????
One thing I noticed with the honkai star rail fandom is the switch up on whether or not Ruan Mei can feel romantic feelings. The reason I'm even bringing this up is because I was around during the 1.6 patch and ratiomei (I ship it personally) but people back then were claiming Ruan can't feel love. She can, she doesn't understand it.
Ratiomei received not only a lot of hate for apparently getting in the way of aventio (ratiomei was first) but again for Ruan not being able to feel love. Ship whatever you want but can we not hate on one ship and say that "They can't feel love" and yet when The Herta gets released it's suddenly okay??? It's okay to not like the ship but to put down a ship and lie about something that's not canon is just down right irritating but also childish. Again ship whatever you want but don't lie and then ship another ship.
Ratio: Ruan what do you think will happen to us?
Ruan: What do you mean?
Ratio: Clearly you plan on achieving Aeonhood so I'm curious on what would happen with what we have.
Ruan: Ratio you do know you would never see me again if I became an Aeon right? I won't be here with you
Ratio: Would you look down upon me as Nous did you?
Ruan: I don't know how to answer that Ratio.
Ratio: I know it's selfish but I hope you never achieve Aeonhood. I crave you too selfishly and I crave you in ways only humans can. I don't wish to let go of you and let you reach among the stars along with all the other Aeons.
Ruan: I've come to crave you too, in a way only humans can crave each other.
Ratio: We're not going to work out are we Ruan?
Ruan: No i don't think we are Veritas.
Ratio: Then let me hold you for this one moment, flesh to flesh. Let me feel you and see you Ruan just one last time.
Ruan: I find that agreeable.
Chat I'm not going to lie I wrote this most likely tipsy last summer WHAT WAS I ON??? is this even good idk
Draco looks at Harry with a glint in his eyes, he only ever looks at Harry as if he truly despises him yet he can't stay away from him. There's a constant need for the toxicity that they bring each other like no other. He knew it wasn't healthy nor would anyone approve yet he still craves the energy that they can only bring to each other.
Okay I wrote this on a whim and my friend says it's good so I wanna ask on here if I should continue it as a fic?
I love how many things Harry and Draco have in common and also everything that is different about them. Essentially they're both the two sides of the same coin. Both are technically for very well off families, (Harry's parents), and yet how differently they handle that wealth, or just the family name.
Harry and Draco are both put into a situation where failure isn't an option because it not only means death for themselves, but also their loved ones. They handle it actually pretty similar. It consumes their life because of the burden it is. Harry has the pressure of having to save the world because he survived, Draco having to sneak death eaters into Hogwarts or it could be his life or his parents life on the line. They both have this pressure to save people and while it seems they're on entirely different sides they aren't. Draco may have some pure blood ideals but you have to understand he grew up with those ideals engraved into his being.
They both grew up in extremely broken homes and every person in their life saw them for someone else besides their closet people. Sirius saw Harry as James, not for the scared and traumatized kid who was currently fighting in a war. Dumbledore saw Harry as the way to save the world and put that burden on his shoulders. He did very little to help him, and actually kept Harry in an extremely abusive situation. Draco was just a Malfoy, a Slytherin, who is just a stuck up prick. Draco was a child just parroting back what was taught to him. Draco and Harry although very different saw each other in a way no one else could. Draco actually mocks Harry for being the boy who lived and Harry stood up to Draco and in The Half Blood Prince saw the stress he was under.
This probably isn't the best but yeah I just love them so much they got me through my childhood 😭.
One of the things that irritate me about being in the genshin community and being on that miserable God forsaken app is the fact that you can't ship anything really. I mean obviously there are the popular ships but if you ship anything else besides that good luck finding media on it or even talking about it because certain fans will constantly bring up the main stream ship.
For example neuvifuri is very hated on that app and even called a comship by some. I mean there are people who try to force the head canon that they're family onto everyone when again it's their own personal opinion on their dynamic. There is a more popular ship with Neuvillette (wriolette) and some people say that Neuvifuri gets in the way. I don't know I just wanted to ramble about something!!
There was an interesting thread on Bluesky dissecting Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's relationship
TL:DR - It seems like Gaiman has been exaggerating the level of closeness between them for YEARS
