"Casey? Are you home, sweetie?" Alex calls out as she opens the door to their apartment. She makes sure to lock the door before hanging her coat in the cabinet and then finally getting rid of her high heels.

"Alex!" Casey's voice sounds a bit muffled. "Finally!"

"You knew it would get late today."

"Yeah, I know." She can practically hear the pout in her girlfriend's voice "I was waiting for you."

Alex furrows her brows as she enters the living room. She spots Casey on the couch, or rather, her strawberry hair poking out from a pile of blankets.

"Cold!" she simply states as Alex gives her a questioning look.

"I suspected as much."

"I saw a snowflake on my way home."

"A snowflake? Really?"

"I sent you a picture."

"That at least explains the blurry photo of a random street."

Casey sighs. "I'm glad you're home." She smiles innocently.

Alex returns her smile. "Me too. I missed you today."

"Yeah, me too...but uhm...thing is…I forgot to switch on the TV, and now I'm caught in all these blankets, they're perfectly wrapped around me..."

Alex laughs "You need me to turn on the TV for you?"

"Netflix, please" Casey grins.

"You're impossible sometimes" Alex laughs again but eventually turns on Casey`s favorite show.

"I'll make you a hot tea before you freeze" she says lovingly, giving her a gentle kiss on the hair. She adores these little quirks of her girlfriend.
