Part two of this lovely photo analysis of Nygmobblepot. Also, regarding your point on 4x14 about the Riddler, I definitely agree. Ed and the Riddler are not nearly as separate as he likes to think of himself as being--and even if they were, both of them care deeply for Oswald.

“I’m. Not. Dead.”
Even during the height of their feud, Ed gets a kick out of spending time with Oswald.

Yeah, I’m counting Ed’s alter-ego/Riddler. It’s part of him and its emotions are real and his even if he doesn’t want to acknowledge it.

Desert Song
My Chemical Romance
It happened <3
Oh I have a youtube notification wonder what it could be--
Oh My Chemical Romance -- they -- um -- oh -- new music. New music happened.
Um... It's good... It's really good... I'm...
*Explodes*
You guys they've started regularly playing Foundations of Decay on my local rock radio station (which I have never previously heard play MCR) and anyways it just came on the radio and I'm currently sitting in my car at our town's drive-in ice cream stand blasting it, which I know we've been having that conversation about not playing your music loudly in public but. This feels like my duty as an MCR fan. Lol. Anyways, I don't know how to handle this being a song I just hear on the radio at random now, I'm not prepared for this, lol.
Like when I was first listening to it, I did think to myself "this has a bit more of a mainstream rock sound to it. I wonder if the rock stations will play it" but like I'm still a little surprised that that actually happens now and I can just hear MCR unexpectedly outside of a Hot Topic.
(And I don't mean it as a bad thing one way or another that this is more mainstream rock sounding than the other stuff of course; it's just a difference I noticed. )
Anyways in other news I met another roller skater at the tennis courts tonight, making her the first fellow roller skater in my town I've met, and I friended her on facebook, so I officially have a roller skating friend!! So I'm having a pretty rad Friday night overall :)
I once wrote a series of short stories that was basically just sensory descriptions of what it would be like to walk around on every planet, moon, and celestial body I had heard a description of. I later remembered that stories have to have plots and feebly attempted to introduce some actual events happening, but mostly I just wanted to write flowery descriptions of walking around on other planets (and moons and space rocks, etc) because, like... just imagining being on their surfaces is so deeply mind blowing. There are molten magma rivers on Venus, and lakes of liquid methane on Saturn’s moon Titan, and Jupiter’s moon Europa is covered in an ever-cracking miles-deep ice-crusted ocean, and I just wanted to walk around in all of those places, just walk around and see them.
This is a fantastical accumulation of photos and it’s astonishing to realize how many places we have pictures of like this, as if we’re really there--places where we sent something and that thing of ours, at least, was really there.
On the other hand, funnily enough, these pictures also prove Doctor Who’s assertion that a significant portion of the universe bears a striking resemblance to a quarry in Wales.
dude seeing these Mega high quality images of the surface of mars that we now have has me fucked up. Like. Mars is a place. mars is a real actual place where one could hypothetically stand. It is a physical place in the universe. ITS JUST OUT THERE LOOKING LIKE UH IDK A REGULAR OLD DESERT WITH LOTS OF ROCKS BUT ITS A WHOLE OTHER PLANET?
I'll tell you one thing about the British though is they've got me saying "advert". We were flipping channels and came to the one with the Superb Owl and I was like "oh we could check out the adverts". It just came out, but to their credit, it does sound better than ads I think. For one thing I mean at least it isn't like completely indistinguishable from abs. I dunno, there's just a flow to it; it has a nice inflection. Advert. I knew I was reading too much Doctor Who fanfic the other day, lol. I've got to be the first person to call them the super bowl adverts.
He has had many excellent hairstyles but the long red hair is definitely my favorite. It looks so soft :)
I also like how they’re all going under the backdrop like it’s their blanket fort, hehe.
Gerard is such a diva I just love him.
Finishing off the year with an idea I've wanted to paint for a while, a cat in the clouds ☁️
....OP you are correct.
Also searching “chinchilla dust bath” is definitely worthwhile. 10/10 do recommend.
(Do I even need to include the top image source? I took the screenshot myself. I should really learn to make gifs one of these days. The first video link is also the bottom image source btw)

beatrice 6 + 10 thx!
When Violet is born, she’s so perfect and fragile that Beatrice is petrified of her. How can she have been responsible for this soft, unblemished little creature? This creature that needs her - really needs her. And grows up to be so sweet and solemn and clever. Violet doesn’t care what her classmates think of her. This trait amazes Beatrice, she’s enthralled with it. Violet is happy to sit with her mother in the library and look at blueprints quietly for hours, grinning at her when Beatrice brings her green tea. Violet makes her bold enough to start a family.
Klaus is more emotional and excitable, and a grizzlier baby, too. He won’t feed as easily as Violet did, but Beatrice relishes the banality of the challenge. The mundanity of these sleepless nights, the safety of a grumpy baby, it comforts her. Bertrand is better at settling Klaus than she is, and for once, that doesn’t feel like inadequacy. He needs glasses by the time he’s four and he’s got so much to say. Her little conversationalist.
Sunny is still so new, happy and gummy and teething. Surprisingly cheerful, for a teething baby. She doesn’t whine, just chomps on Beatrice’s finger. Rejects the baby food Beatrice lovingly made for her elder two but adores the wooden teething peg that Bertrand whittles her. She crawls so fast that her mother has to skitter across the carpet to keep up with her before the crazy little perfect angel tumbles down the staircase. She’s still so afraid for her children. She never stopped being afraid for them.
The day Beatrice dies, she sent the three of them to the beach. They’ve always been good at entertaining themselves. She needed them out of the house because she’s so scared for them, and old associates visited, didn’t stay long. She’s waiting for them to return, swaning around upstairs, when Olaf slips in through the unlocked front door. He doesn’t make a sound as he pours out lighter fluid, fumbles with his box of matches. If Beatrice had seen it, she would have been impressed at how quiet this loud, brash man, this boy of hers, could manage to be. Given the right motivation.
She only sees him later, the figure of him, while she’s struggling in the drapery. The smoke is thick, but his tall silhouette is unmistakable. How rude of him, not to even come to say hello, before he did this, finally. It outrages her, the indecency of it. Does the past mean nothing to him? Could he not have throttled her to death, to make it personal? Right for them, befitting of their history. Olaf sets fires when he’s angry with people who have hurt him. Beatrice isn’t just people, is she?
Then everything is dimmer and easier, and breathing seems to matter less.
And again, on the eve of opening night for A Year with Frog and Toad, I find a second Frog and Toad related post, which, yet again, corresponds directly with a song from this show I’m in.
Either the number of Frog and Toad things I’m running across on tumblr tonight is a sign, or this is some kind of Baader-Meinhof phenomenon specific to being in a certain show... Is there a theatrical version of that? Or maybe Baader-Meinhof isn’t the right term because I didn’t just learn about Frog and Toad, but it’s like that thing where one suddenly sees a thing everywhere just when it’s relevant. Is it a different type of cognitive bias, perhaps? Does anyone know the correct term for being in a play and then seeing things relevant to that play just before the show opens?
Like, I haven’t noticed any Frog and Toad-related content since I joined tumblr in November and the night before we open, I see two things. It’s crazy. Well, I guess I’ll call it good luck?
But yeah, this one’s Frog’s solo. A very sweet little song.
i just think this is so important and i think this is the greatest life lesson you could learn in your childhood, or at any age (from Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel)
Welcome, dear traveller, to our fantastical lande shrouded in swirling violet mists. Here we study how stories shape our lives, how words weave wonders before our eyes. Here we are enamoured of love and the connections betwixt people. Here we seek daring adventures in our wild lande, delving into the unknown at every turn. But mostly, here you'll find my obsession with any number of things, like Doctor Who, the Vampire Diaries, or any number of others from the ever-shifting tide of obsessions through which I cycle.
