Not much time went by after that where you wanted nothing else than to be back home. You thought about it every single minute. Seeing your father and Peter only made you homesick.

You assumed this day would be no different than the last as you sat in your corner. Your head pounded every minute you were awake now. It was just a constant, dull thumping in the back of your skull.

You had just kicked the tray of breakfast aside gently when the room was forced into darkness. Emergency lights flickered on above your heads as you pushed yourself to your knees.

A burst of cheering came from Clint, followed by some from Sam as the containment doors slid open. You could see a silhouette cross the room towards Wanda, helping pull the straitjacket from her frame.

“Y/N,” Clint whispered as he made his way towards you. “Come here.”

You pushed yourself on shaky feet and moved towards Clint. He walked behind you to release your arms, letting you shake the blood back into them. As soon as the jacket clattered to the floor, you let out a sigh of relief. The collar came next as he used the remote to disconnect it.

“You okay?” Clint placed his hands on your shoulders, keeping your swaying form still. You forced a nod, letting him lead you out towards the rest of your team.

“Mini.” You looked up, absolutely shocked to see Steve standing in front of you. You didn’t hesitate to throw yourself in his arms, squeezing him tightly. He returned the gesture but didn’t let your feet return to the ground. “We’ve gotta run. I already have all your stuff in the quinjet but we need to move. And fast.”

With that, the team took off back through the door. You stayed tense in Steve’s arms, terrified that you were going to be busted for trying to escape. As soon as the jet came into view, you let out a content sigh, relaxing in his grip.

“Mini.” He set you down on one of the medical beds in the back. “I’ll be right back. Stay here.”

You offered him a nod as you sank down into the comfy fabric, fighting to stay conscious. The toll of not eating plus lack of sleep was kicking in and you knew you were going to crash here soon.

You had just started to fall asleep when a comforting hand rested on your arm. You opened your eyes to see Wanda sitting next to you, Steve hovering over her shoulder.

“Hey,” You mumbled, moving to sit up.

Wanda shook her head, pressing down on your arm to keep you in place. “Stay here, kiddo. We’re going to monitor your vitals on the way home.”

“Y/N, you want to tell me what happened back there?” Steve asked, leaning against the wall as he looked down at you.

You shrugged, curling up under the blanket. “I don’t…I just gave up, you know? I don’t think my dad would forgive me or-or Peter and I just…” You paused as tears filled your eyes again. “I can’t forgive myself for what I did. I wanted to help you, Steve, I did but I didn’t see what I was losing by doing that.”

Steve nodded, crouching down next to you. “You know your dad would never give up on you. After everything that we’ve put him through, he’s still there for us. You’re his kid, Y/N. He loves you more than anything. And you helped us succeed. I’m sorry it was at the cost it was but we did it, kid.”

You nodded, clutching the pillow as if it was your lifeline. Steve gave you a sad smile, brushing some hair out of your eyes before leaving you alone with Wanda.

“Are you guys coming home?” You asked, grabbing Wanda’s hand. She gave you a sad smile, answering your question. You sighed, “Promise you’ll at least call me every now and then? And let me know how you’re doing?”

Wanda nodded. “Of course. I pinky promise.” She linked her pinky with yours, giving you a reassuring smile. “Get some sleep. I’ll wake you up when we land.”

You let go of her pinky to curl under the blankets completely, finally feeling safe enough to sleep. As soon as your eyes closed, your body accepted slumber easily and the world faded around you.

“hello?”

“hey, uh… can i get a ride?”

his voice was shaky, his breathing quick, and with no more than thirty seconds into the phone call, you could tell that something was wrong. the way that your stomach twisted with every word that left his mouth just confirmed your thoughts. 

“where are you? i’ll come get you.” 

at this point, you were looking at happy, who was already going to get the jet ready for takeoff.

“What does this monster have to mourn?” Drax questioned angrily.

“Gamora.” Nebula said in realization.

“What?” Quill looked at her.

“He took her to Vormir. He came back with the soul stone. She didn’t.”

“Okay Quill, you got to cool it right now. Do you understand?” Tony said. “D-don’t, don’t. Don’t engage we almost got this off!” Tony begged as you three were tugging the gauntlet off.

“Tell me she’s lying.” Quill turned to Thanos.

“Asshole tell me you didn’t do it!” He yelled in his face.

“I had to.” Thanos breathed out as Mantis was struggling to hold him.

“No, you didn’t.” Quill shook his head. “No, you didn’t.” He started taking a step back.

“Quill please don’t!” You cried out as you tugged harder.

But it was too late, Quill swung his hand forward hitting Thanos directly in the face repeatedly.

“Quill,” Mantis called his name. Quill kept repeating, “No you didn’t,” as he kept hitting him.

Tony lunged forward trying to get Quill to stop. You and Peter were still trying to get the gauntlet off. It wasn’t working and before you knew it Thanos broke free from the trance pulling his arm back. You fell on top of Peter when you both stumbled back. Thanos grabbed Mantis like she weighed nothing and flung her forward.

“Oh god!” Peter got up going after her. He grunted as he wrapped his arms around her securely. He used his spider-legs to prevent their rough landing on the ground. They rolled before Peter was crisscrossed above the ground, holding her against his iron suit as his spider-legs supported them from falling forward.

Thanos shoved Tony and Quill forward. Everything turned into a blur after he threw the moon at Tony. The whole place got affected by the impact. You started drifting in the air. 

“I got you. I got you. Sorry I can’t remember anybody’s names.” Peter groaned as he started webbing everyone making sure they didn’t float away. He glanced around finally catching a glimpse of you floating motionless.

“Y/n I got you!” He shot a web out, it stuck to your suit. He began pulling on it to get you closer to him.

Once you were chest to chest, he tapped the side of your iron helmet watching as it disappeared revealing your closed eyes. 

“Hey Y/n wake up.” He grabbed your face tapping it lightly.

Your eyes fluttered open slowly. You stared at Peter then proceeded to hug him.

“Did we win?” You muttered in his neck.

“I don’t think so.” He pulled back looking at you with a worried expression. Both of you started making your way to the ground as everyone else.

Everything seemed to die down. Many pieces of rubble floating around. It felt like the calming after a storm hit. Only in this scenario, the storm was Thanos, and it was hard to think that it was all over.

“Somethings happening…” Mantis said.

Everyone looked at her. You watched her intently wondering why she said that, but you got your answer as she started turning into dust. You let out a gasp and you took a step back. You noticed Quill looking over to his right. 

“Quill?” Drax gasped before disappearing into thin air.

Quill looked over at Tony worriedly. Tony knew already.

“Steady Quill?” 

“Oh man.” He vanished almost instantly.

“Tony, there was no other way.” You whipped your head around just as Dr. Strange let out his last breath. His body begins to dissolve into nothing but ashes and dust.

“Mr. Stark.”

No god please no. 

“I don’t feel so good.” 

“You’re alright.” Tony did his best to reassure him.

“I–I don-I don’t know what’s happening.” Peter started walking towards Tony. He clung to him for dear life. Panic could be heard in his voice. 

“I don’t wanna go, I don’t wanna go, Mr. Stark, please.” He muttered out desperately. “Please, I don’t wanna go. I don’t wanna go.“ They both fell to the ground. 

You picked up your feet and fell to your knees next to him. You caressed his hair letting a few drops of tears fall down your cheeks.

"No, no, no, no, please don’t leave me, don’t leave me here Peter.” You gripped his hand tightly feeling a bit of hope still as he gripped your hand back. You leaned down quickly pecking his cheek. He turned his gaze to Tony.

“I’m sorry…” He spoke out as his head lopped to the right. His body starts to dissolve from his feet slowly making its way up. His body was purely dust and ashes, leaving your hand black. You cried out as little pieces of dust began forming on his neck and slowly all over his face. 

He was gone… 

It didn’t feel real. He couldn’t just be here one minute and not exist the next. It was not logically possible. However, you were proven wrong. 

You turned your hands over examining what was left of Peter. Just a bunch of ash. Tony took a glance at you before curling up placing his hands up to his lips.

“He did it.” Nebula spoke up.

“What just happened?!” You gritted your teeth.

Nebula looked down not meeting your gaze.

“He can’t just be gone. Peter can’t just somehow stop exiting from the world…He can’t be gone, he can’t be…” You stood up looking around the planet Titan. Everything was destroyed. Even more so than how it was when you arrived.

“I didn’t even get to tell him I lo—" 

Nebula looked up wanting to know why you stopped speaking. She noticed the small form of dust. Tony didn’t even look up too afraid of watching someone else disappear and not being able to do anything about it. He heard your faint gasp and then everything silent. 

He looked up and he didn’t see you anymore.

"It’s devastating when it’s the kids who are affected.” Nebula admitted.

“They were only sixteen.” Tony let out a shakily sigh.
