Montreal ✅
Daniel in the points + Alex's overtake + Hamilton setting the fastest lap + Max win means this weekend is officially one of my favourites this season. If only Logan didn't DNF and Yuki didn't crash 🥲🥲

DANIEL RICCIARDO IN THE POINTS OH MY GOD!!!!!
Zhou is in front of the safety car so he's basically leading rn 😁😁
I’ll just post this now before I decide that I need to edit it anymore
I was supposed to be going to sleep but I’ve laughed myself back to full wakefulness.

Monaco ✅
Forced myself to get this done before the end of the week...is anyone even active on F1blr rn 😭😭
Thoughts on monaco as an overall race track?
I usually don't like street circuits but as an overall race track, I do think Monaco is pretty good. I like how challenging the circuit is with the elevation changes and the tight hairpin turn, and also it's just nice to look at.
The race this year was boring because the pit stops under the red flag meant a lull in strategy and movement in the top 10 spots. The size of the cars and the narrowness of the track doesn't help either since it's now nearly impossible to overtake without risking contact.
But I don't think this makes the circuit itself bad. Qualifying was great, other motorsports (and formula feeder series) have raced with more entertaining results, and even if it's notoriously hard to overtake there's usually better strategy to make up for it.
I think smaller/narrower cars would definitely make the race more competitive, but I don't see that happening in the near future. A change in layout to make it possible to overtake more in certain turns would be helpful too, but I'm no track designer though so I've got no clue if that's actually possible.
If I'm super honest, I would trade Monaco for the return of tracks like Sepang. But by itself, it can definitely be enjoyable and I like it.
The race wouldn't have been boring if nico rosberg was in the commentary box
Starting lap and we have:
A yellow flag (Sainz puncture after contact w Piastri - NOT a dnf)
A red flag (Perez's tyres all gone after an incident with both haas)
Ocon DNF after lunging at his teammate and causing damage to both cars
Update: ALL DRIVERS OK
🎙️: the first real mistake from you this year?
🦁: i wouldn't say so. i would happily invite everyone in this paddock to drive that car and try to go faster than me.
LOGAN STARTING P15 TOMORROW DUE TO BOTH HAAS'S STARTING IN THE PITLANE! LET'S GO! HIGHEST START THIS SEASON!
P20-15: Zhou, Bottas, Perez, Sergeant, Alonso
P15-11: Magnussen, Stroll, Ricciardo, Hulkenberg, Ocon
P10-1: Gasly, Albon, Tsunoda, Hamilton, Verstappen, Russell, Norris, Sainz, Piastri, Leclerc
Verstappen hits the wall on his final lap, goes slower on all sectors
Albon gets William's first Q3 entry of the season
Logan Sargeant outqualifies Perez in the Red Bull without upgrades 🔥🔥
Oscar Piastri to start P2 after losing his front row position in Imola (penalty for impeding)
So much traffic in Q1-2...
List of impeding incidents being investigated after the session:
Hulkenberg on Ocon
Albon on Sainz
Zhou, Bottas on Ricciardo
All I'm hoping for this weekend is a Max Verstappen win so we can finally see him jump into that pool 😔
2019 rookies - the Summer Triangle (ik this isn't a constellation just keep reading)
Lando Norris - Aquila (The Eagle)
The constellation is easy to spot, flying opposite the celestial Swan (Cygnus). It's located in the fourth quadrant of the northern hemisphere.
Its bright star is Altair, which forms the 'Summer Triangle' with the bright stars of Cygnus and Lyra.
Alex Albon - Lyra (Lyre)
Lyra is a small constellation that lies in the northern sky. The constellation was often depicted as a vulture or an eagle carrying Orpheus’ lyre in its wings or beak, and called “the falling eagle” or “falling vulture.”
Vega, it's brightest star, was the first star other than the Sun to be photographed.
George Russell - Cygnus (The Swan)
Cygnus is also sometimes identified as Orpheus, who was transformed into a swan after his passing and placed next to his lyre in the sky. The lyre is represented by the neighboring constellation Lyra.
Charles Leclerc - Columba (The Dove)
The constellation’s original name was Columba Noachi, meaning “Noah’s dove.” It was named after the bibical dove that was sent from the Ark to see if there is any dry land left after the Great Flood. The bird returned holding an olive branch in its beak, signalling that the flood was receding.
Lewis Hamilton - Phoenix
Ovid wrote in his Metamorphoses that the Phoenix lived for 500 years. When it reached the end of its life span, the phoenix would build itself a nest, then ignite it and meet its end in the fire. A new bird would be born from the ashes.
Daniel Ricciardo - Apus (Bird of Paradise)
Apus is a small constellation in the southern sky. It represents a bird-of-paradise, and its name means "without feet" in Greek because the bird-of-paradise was once wrongly believed to lack feet.
Max Verstappen - Leo (The Lion)
Leo represents the lion and is usually associated with the Nemean lion in Greek mythology, who lived in a cave near a town and set upon the local inhabitants. It could not be defeated because of it's impenetrable golden fur.
Carlos Sainz - Hercules
Hercules is the fifth largest constellation in the sky, but has no first magnitude stars. It is named after the Roman hero, who had to carry out a series of tasks, one being the slaughter of the Nemean lion. He only managed to kill it by trapping it in it's cave and strangling it with his bare hands.
Might continue this but I'm not quite sure what to put for the others so drop suggestions
I want ppl to have chemistry with me like the way the monaco track wall has chemistry with all these drivers😪✊🏽
They just can't resist the attraction can they😔
Imola ✅
Dunno if I should draw those race summary things for this,, anyways the gravel traps were rlly catching everybody out this weekend but I couldn’t really find photos to put here or I would’ve made a compilation of it 😔
If anyone was wondering, here's the full list of Alex Albon's suffering today:
He pits super early for some reason (around Lap 9), then reports "We have a problem. Tire not on properly." The commentstors review the footage and say it doesn't seem like the tyre was loose.
He pits a second time, ends up a lap down.
Williams gets investigated for Albon's unsafe release, end up with a 10 sec penalty.
It's then revealed he also damaged his only set of hards when that first pit stop got messed up
He pits around Lap 55 just to retire the car. DNFs the race.
I’m gonna need Vcarb to come out immediately and take the blame for this as soon as this race finishes. Stupid stupid strategy yet it’s going to be DR who will get all the backlash.
Verstappen wins with only 8 tenths of a gap, tyre issues for half the race, questionable amounts of rest after the stint at 24hrs of Nurburgring he did 5 hrs before the race and less than 30% of his battery 😭😭
TSUNODA MAKES IT PAST HULKENBERG ON THE PIT EXIT WAR IS OVER 🔥🔥🔥
