there's a cherry blossom tree in DC that keeps blooming every year even though it shouldn't and the park service keeps thinking it's dead and then it keeps blooming! well they're removing a lot of trees to rehabilitate the area and they've said it's finally time for stumpy to go and they're going to mulch it and use the mulch to enrich all the other trees so it can help everything else keep going. and they're also going to plant spliced little pieces of it all over so that stumpy can live forever and this is genuinely sending me into a spiral

I was never really able to make more proper introductory posts / indexes of all my DigiAdvs stuff before this because every time I tried, this site would either a. Eat the post b. not show the links properly or c. It wouldn’t even show in the tags correctly. So I’m making a better index post now!

I’m not an artist and my writing is more of a side thing. I mainly focus instead on A.M.V.s, since I’ve been steadily improving on making those over a span of many years.

Here is an index for all of my A.M.V.s / vid edits centered around either Koushiro Izumi {notably}, Taichi Yagami, and/or the KouTai / Taishiro ship. (It’s pretty much my “O.T.P of {DigiAdvs} O.T.Ps”, so I hope that can be respected, too. And due to these being A.M.V.s, Most of my works could probably work in a semi canon compliant sense but I’m also perfectly fine with reading other things in as A.U.s) {The post is not-rebloggable for reasons aka me wanting to be able to go back and add to it. Hey there! It's totally cool if someone wants to turn your content into ai. Take it as a compliment! Remember, it's a fandom, you don't own it and we all share and create together, so it's fair for people to have different opinions about your work. No need to get upset, it's all part of the fun and diverse community we have here! Just let others have what they find satisfying.😊

I understand your point. But no. It's not. I'm a part of a community, the exchange of ideas with other human beings is expected. I don't get a say with what other people do with my characters but I'm kind of responsible for what is done with them regardless and to just reduce everything to... Train an algorithm to replicate what I do? The things I make? That's just. It's soulless. I get not everything I write appeals to everyone. That's fine. But you don't get to remove me from the equation of my work. It's not a compliment. Death of the author doesn't fucking apply when I'm right here. I guess I can't stop people if they do it privately but seriously, please. Please think of what you're saying. Because the implication that the author can be translated into AI and removed from the process is just horrific.

This may be arrogant but the reason anyone would like my takes at all is because they come from my heart, head and hands. Remove that and you may as well just use an AI trained on the canon material and leave me out of it.

The creator of what was probably *the* Mary Sue Litmus Test back in the day has disavowed the term/test and doesn't mince words about why.

if someone tells you that your OC or your fave is a Mary Sue, tell them they shouldn’t complain about a character when they can’t even get their name right

“One factor that makes interaction between multi-ethnic groups of women difficult and sometimes impossible is our failure to recognize that a behaviour pattern in one culture may be unacceptable in another, that is may have different signification cross-culturally … I have learned the importance of learning what we called one another’s cultural codes. An Asian American student of Japanese heritage explained her reluctance to participate in feminist organizations by calling attention to the tendency among feminist activists to speak rapidly without pause, to be quick on the uptake, always ready with a response. She had been raised to pause and think before speaking, to consider the impact of one’s words, a characteristic that she felt was particularly true of Asian Americans. Our response was to explain that what they perceived as hostility and aggression, we considered playful teasing and affectionate expressions of our pleasure at being together. The one thing I disliked while watching the Digimon Adventure Tri movies is that Meiko (who was the new character for the films) took WAY more focus than the original 8 Digidestined/chosen children

This could be my issue, but I dislike it when a character archetype is known for being shy. I am shy, but having that as a character's only defining trait makes the character dull to watch. Also, while watching the movies, Meiko felt like someone's fanfic oc at times when all the characters they interact with adore and love her very much, and she and her Digimon partner are extraordinary throughout the plot's run.

I feel like she was only made as a character just so the writers could give Taichi a love interest and further establish that the 02 epilogue is still, in fact, canon. Even then, the two of them lacked any chemistry.

It’s a machine… we are complex highly intelligent beings… yet we let something we physically cannot see determine how we should live our own lives… lotta feelings we can’t physically see also are the answers … our society really needs a huge reset… the important things are ruled by idiots and the intelligent ones ignored…. Put the flame into the right hands and change our whole system get rid of the opportunist who have no soul but to gain power = money. It’s the money that is the problem…. Nature doesn’t need money, it has function by itself not needing anything but the ground to grow from… the whole system is totally fucked. Seems everyone is contented it’s already to late, the device in your hand says it all…. They have us already

Google is not a source. “I found it on Google” is not a valid response. Did you make it? No? Then don’t post it.

If the artist asks you to take it down. No excuses. No argument. Take it down.

You are not a victim. You stole something without permission. If you don’t want people to be angry, then apologize and delete it the second they ask you too. They won’t be mad anymore or see you are a bad person if you just follow their wishes.

Don’t try and turn it around like the artist is the bad guy and like that gives you the right to post their stuff.

Don’t lie about it, don’t try and change the story and look for pity from others. Just delete what the artist asked you to delete.

Be a decent human being and stop taking things that don’t belong to you. Reblog the post, spread the actual artist’s post around.

If it doesn’t belong to you then don’t post it.
