I don't know why but whenever I get to be kind to people, I then feel so light. It feels so... rewarding. Only that—you know—it seems so wrong to feel that emotion because seriously, I show them kindness not because I am kind but because I just don't want to seem rude.

I can straight up say, "Okay."

But instead, I say, "Okieeee!"

And oh, dear, whenever they reply with the same intensity of kindness or sometimes, even more than you offered, you feel like... like... what is the word? It's something like oh-you-are-so-precious-let-me-give-you-a-hug~ or oh-my-here-is-my-love-accept-it-for-you-it-is-free~

look. i don’t think my stretch marks are beautiful. i don’t think they’re tiger stripes or natural tattooos. i don’t think my acne is beautiful. i don’t think the bags under my eyes are beautiful. i just think they’re human. and i don’t think i have to be beautiful all of the time in order to be accepted and loved and sucessful. i don’t think every small detail of my outer appearence needs to be translated into prettiness.

I love getting unaccompanied minors (kids flying alone) who so clearly just. Don't want to be here lol. Sometimes I get to know a little of their story, like their parents are divorced, or a family member died and they're heading to the funeral, but usually they just don't want to talk about it and that's fine. But I always treat the flight like it's a challenge to make them smile. I offer them snacks and soda but that's never enough, that's whatever, they could get those from an airport vending machine. Chump change. So then I tell the worst jokes. Just the most embarrassing, kindergarten teacher, annoying dad jokes you can think of. And those always get a groan, or a "Seriously??" And that's my in! Now I can say "Why, what's your idea of a good joke? No, come on hotshot, make your best joke, let's see it." And they hem and they haw but of course they eventually tell me their very best joke because kids are little competitive comedy goldmines. And it's always super funny, so I laugh, and that's where they slip up. Because you know what you almost always do when your joke successfully makes someone laugh? You smile. And I'm like. Gotcha. Rookie move. Now you're going to end up having a good time in spite of yourself. I win.

jesus christ, be polite to children and show them manners. fucking say excuse me when you walk past them, apologize to them when you cut them off, thank them when they’re courteous to you. they’re not little objects that don’t matter. you should be a fucking example and teach them how to treat people, instead of acting like they’re these invisible THINGS that don’t have feelings or don’t notice when they aren’t acknowledged. be polite to children the same way you’d be polite to someone of your own age group or older. you can respect a child.

anxiety is so stupid it's like your brain went hey how would you like to experience what it feels like to be a terrified prey animal. you can never turn this ability off btw.

So how is it that second-hand embarrassment is the single most powerful and weakening emotion one can feel from media?

Tragedy? Delicious.

A hard-earned happy ending? Wonderful.

A convoluted narrative? Keeps you glued.

Simple slice of life? It’s entertaining.

Second-hand embarrassment? Hang on, g, I gotta pause this for fifteen minutes, no, I cannot continue watching this right now, I am just not strong enough.

Just saw a TikTok where this bi woman was like,

‘I’m a woman-leaning bisexual and you know what pisses me off? The fact that I’m dating a skinny white man and I love him and I’m happy, like what the fuck.’

And I just have to say. What pisses me off as a bisexual woman is that TikTok.

This is the Woke version of ‘my wife is the ol’ ball and chain, doesn’t it suck to be married,’ jokes. It’s not funny. Your queerness is not negated or tarnished by opposite-gender attraction, dating men isn’t inherently worse than dating women.

I told Papa yesterday that I want to take BS Forensic Science in college and I asked him if he's fine with it. He don't seem to understand what I'm saying at first. I thought, he's only acting that he can't properly hear what I'm saying because he doesn't want that course for me. Then when he finally clearly heard it, he said, "It's up to you. 21.01.24 || New year, same old me with the pics from my study abroad two years ago. Where does the time go?

Term started late this year due to covid, but classes finally started last week. I’m taking three language courses and am in absolute heaven right now. I feel like I finally have the time to focus on the smallest details of Greek and Latin and can nerd out over grammar constructions with my professors. Maybe teaching a language is my true calling, since I’m at my happiest in a language class.

Also lerne ich Deutsch und lese Der Kleine Prinz. Wo sind die Deutschsprache studyblrs?

Sometimes, mahihiling mo na lang talaga for a specific person to die. 'Yong pagka-annoying nila, sagat hanggang buto. Kahit anong patawad mo, wala pa rin talaga. Paulit-ulit na lang. Kung hindi man 'yong tao na 'yon ang mamatay, kahit sarili mo na lang para naman maghiwalay na ang landas niyo.

Why does it hurt to watch people leave me even if they mean nothing to me?

Or maybe, they actually mean something to me and I just don't want to acknowledge it so that I won't get hurt when they leave me?

But it still hurts tho. It hurts. So much.

It hurts when you notice that the people close to you are slowly drifting away. And no matter how hard you try to not let them, they still do.

all i want is to have one of those ghibli moments where the protag is just lying in a breezy field with wildflowers and big puffy clouds overhead. that’s the goal here.
