Happy December 21st everyone! Hope you had some good breakfast.
my bestie is always going on about how she wants to live in the *big city* but she can’t deal with the night screams we hear outside our small town apartment. Like I love you girlie but let’s be real Patrice, do you think there are not night screams in New York? I bet they night scream a lot in New York.
It's 15th February, which is apparently World Hippo Day, so here's an excellent hippo I saw at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris last year. It was designed by François-Xavier Lalanne in 1968–1969, and is in fact a bathroom in disguise! Its body opens to become a bathtub and its head flips up to reveal a handbasin.
Attached are 8.5" x 11" patterns for print and assemble Hippo Hats, perfect of World Hippo Day, February 15th! There is a black and white coloring book version and a pre-colored version! For best results print on cardstock and assemble using staples, but tape and copy paper will also work! This year, 2025, World Hippopotamus Day falls during an event called the Project for Awesome. This event raises money for organizations that fight to do a lot of good in the world, like Save The Children and Partners in Health. If you are able, please look into the Project for Awesome, share, and consider donating. More information can be found @ www.projectforawesome.com or check my pinned post. Happy World Hippo Day to all who celebrate!
