I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:
IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.
1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.
2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.
3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”
4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”
5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.
TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.
Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.
The angst! The hurt/comfort! The pining! And when both Dick and Jason believe they're not good enough for the other? You eat that shit up. Also, it will get better. I promise. <3 (art by @kadrii on Bluesky)

I am. So fucking tired of Batman being portrayed as a bad parent and a toxic person. And it’s so goddamn widespread. Fuck, it might be as bad as the whole “Superman being a kindhearted Boy Scout is boring” take.
I get it, the man’s not exactly stable, he watched his parents get murdered in front of him and spent years of his life training to fight crime dressed like a giant scary bat, of course he’s not perfect.
But to say that Bruce Wayne isn’t caring, isn’t empathetic, to call him abusive…it just misses the point of who the character is to me.
Why do you think he fights crime? Yes, part of it is because he’s bitter and sad because his parents were cruelly ripped from him as a child, and he’s lashing out against the corruption of his city. It’s arguably the focus of his earlier years. But he learns to become more than that. He learns to bring hope, a chance to be better.
Harleen Quinzel is the Joker’s right hand lady, but she’s also a victim of an abusive relationship and a woman with a surprisingly strong moral compass and a love for animals, and wants to get better.
Harvey Dent is a man who will decide someone’s fate on a coin toss(and a pretty inaccurate depiction of DID), but he’s also Bruce’s close friend who clearly needs help learning to live with his condition, rather than try to get rid of it, and someone who he still goes out of his way to visit, even after everything.
Victor Fries is a cold, emotionless man who will callously discard allies and blame them for being careless, but he’s also a man who’s either lashing out because he had the love of his life taken from him, or just desperate to make sure she isn’t taken from him, and is willing to do anything just to guarantee her survival.
Even the Joker, arguably one of the most morally bankrupt characters in all of fiction, is someone that Batman has offered a chance to. After the guy shoots the daughter of his friend, a girl he cared for like she was his own kid, and paralyzes her from the waist down, he tells the Joker that he doesn’t want to hurt him. He wants to get him help. He looks at this monster who has taken countless lives and says “You don’t have to be alone.”
For fuck’s sake, he sat with Joe Chill in his last moments so that he wouldn’t be alone. Joe Chill, the man who murdered his parents, who took so much from him, the person responsible for all of the misery and suffering he’s gone through. And he sits with the man to comfort him while dies.
And you’re gonna tell me the man who did that would abuse his kids?
That he’d hold up the young man whose death was his greatest failure, the boy he grieved, and say this?
That he’d look his goddamn son in the eyes and say this to him?
Why the FUCK do you think he took in Dick Grayson in the first place? It wasn’t because he saw the kid and thought “Ah. A potential soldier.”, it was because he saw a boy experiencing the same heartbreaking loss he had so many years ago, and wanted to make sure he didn’t end up as bitter and miserable as he was.
Why do you think he smiled when Tim Drake presented him a broken watch for Father’s Day? Because he was just happy to see the boy alive and safe.
DAMIAN LITERALLY POINTED AT A COW AND SAID “I’m keeping her. She’s Bat-Cow.” AND BRUCE JUST WENT WITH IT. DIDN’T EVEN NEED TO ARGUE WHY BRUCE SHOULD LET HIM KEEP HER. HE SAID “this cow is my pet now” AND BRUCE SAID “alright, bet”.
The thing about Batman is that he wants to make sure nobody else ends up feeling the way he does. That’s not just about stopping a mugger so a boy’s parents aren’t gunned down. It’s about giving his loved ones the support and care that he couldn’t have, because it was taken from him. It’s about comforting someone who just went through a traumatic experience and letting them know that they’re going to be okay. It’s about going to someone locked away in a cell who thinks that they’re a lost cause and a burden to society and telling them that he wants to help them get better. It’s about EMPATHY.
That’s what makes him a HERO. He’s meant to inspire us, to show us that we can have that same empathy for others around us, that we can turn our suffering into hope for a better future.
I just wish more people at DC would start recognizing that. But I might as well follow that example myself. Maybe through this struggle of having to see this hero mistreat the people around him and act like a grade-A jackass, people will start to recognize that missing empathy, and slowly but surely, it might come back. After all, what is this post, if not trying to bring attention to the matter in the hopes of fixing it?
If I had a nickel for every emo who has a dead family member named Maria, a big sister that fueled their need for vengeance, who was manipulated into doing evil things by someone else who said it was for said big sister but only wanted power, is short, and has a complicated relationship with a green-eyed hero who’s connected to blue in some way, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice.

EXACTLY! YOU’RE FINE WITH CRIMINALS (i.e PREDATORS AND MURDERS) GETTING THREE HOTS AND A COT ON YOUR TAX DOLLARS, BUT THE HOMELESS MAN DOWN THE STREET, OR THE SINGLE MOM TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF HER KIDS AND SURVIVE? PERISH THE THOUGHT.
Hey kid, look at me.
I want you to T-pose. Turn your right thumb up and your left thumb doen and look at your right thumb. Move your arms up and down a bit until you feel a nerve running from your armpit to your palm. Now turn your right thumb down and your left thumb up, and look at your left thumb. Keep your chest facing forward and your shoulders back. Move your arms again until you feel that nerve again. Keep alternating between these two for a minute, or look at each thumb thirty times each.
Now sit down. Put your left hand firmly under your left buttock, palm down. Keep your shoulders back and put your right hand over the crown of your head, very gently pulling it to the right. Do this for thirty seconds, then do it again but with your right hand under your right buttock.
These are stretches for the nerves in your arms, and are very good for people who sit behind a computer a lot, or fibre artists, or you name it. Do them daily. They will hurt in the beginning, but keep doing them, even after the pain has gone, or it will return and you'll have to start all over.
Does anyone know where I can read this comic?
Red Hood: Outlaw #38 and #39
Tim Drake: The Insecurity-Fueled Workaholic™ of the Batfamily
Alright, let’s talk about how Tim Drake is the most insecure member of the Batfamily, and DC just refuses to acknowledge it because they love making this kid suffer without addressing the deep-seated emotional damage they’ve given him.
First of all, Tim was never chosen. Every other Robin? They were picked. Dick was Bruce’s golden boy, Jason was the rebellious stray Bruce couldn’t help but take in, and Damian is his actual biological son. Meanwhile, Tim? He had to blackmail his way into the family. He figured out Bruce was Batman, hunted him down, and basically said, "You need me. If you don’t take me in, Gotham will fall apart." Like, imagine being so desperate for validation that your best option is a hostile corporate takeover of the Robin mantle.
And even after all that, he was still the easiest to replace. Jason died? Bruce spiraled into grief for years. Dick left? He still gets treated like the favorite son. But when Tim got pushed out for Damian? Bruce didn’t hesitate. Sure, Tim was still around, but he went from being Robin—the partner, the right hand—to the guy in the background. The second-stringer. And he felt that.
So, what does Tim do? He overcompensates. He works himself to the bone, stays up all night running mission reports, does everything he can to be useful—because what if the moment he stops, they stop needing him? What if they just… stop calling?
And let’s talk about Tim’s emotional unavailability because that’s another big red flag. He sucks at talking about his feelings, but it’s not because he doesn’t have them—it’s because he’s terrified of being seen as a burden. He sees how the Batfamily functions: Bruce is emotionally constipated, Jason is rage-fueled trauma in a leather jacket, Dick is the "happy" one who actually isn’t, and Damian is basically a feral cat learning how to human. There is no room for Tim to break down.
So, instead, he just works harder—because as long as he’s useful, as long as he’s needed, they won’t forget about him. They won’t leave.
And the worst part? It’s so obvious to everyone else. Dick tries to invite him out to do literally anything fun, and Tim’s like, "Can’t. Busy." Jason side-eyes him when he catches Tim drinking his fifth cup of coffee at 3 AM. Even Damian, Damian, will occasionally be like, "Drake, when was the last time you slept?" because this boy is running on fumes and sheer existential terror of irrelevance.
Tim is the kind of person who will graduate with perfect grades, run an entire company, save Gotham three times in one night—and still feel like he hasn’t done enough. And that? That’s crippling insecurity at its finest.
TL;DR: Tim Drake doesn’t sleep, doesn’t talk about his feelings, and definitely doesn’t think he’s truly part of the family—because at the end of the day, he wasn’t chosen. He forced his way in, and deep down, he’s scared that means they’ll never truly see him as theirs.
Odysseus dies during the war and by the laws of combat/due to some prophecy stating that only a war strategy from the mind of Laertiades will cause the fall of Troy, Telemachus is brought to the shores of Troy.
10 year old Telemachus, who has never even held a weapon before, who was hiding behind his teary-eyed mother's skirts when they came to fetch him.
Penelope falling to her knees, clutching the feet of the ones trying to take her son away and begging to not do this, that she has just lost her husband, that she cannot lose a son too, that her boy is so young. That her brother-in-law Eurylochus can avenge her husband.
Grief strucken Diomedes, hovering and protecting Telemachus, risking his own life time and time again to ensure Telemachus' safety. Fighting with all the commanders to keep him from the battlefield as much as possible.
Athena always standing behind Telemachus, for the first time making her presence evidently known, lending as much as strength, wisdom and courage as she can to her Champion's son.
Eurylochus, Polites and the other Ithacans being so enraged at Telemachus' presence here, he is just a boy, their Prin– their King. He shouldn't be here. But he is, so they do their best to take care of him and ignore their breaking heart everytime Telemachus looks at them with Odysseus' face and speaks with Odysseus' voice, knowing that he is the last piece of their king they have left.
“we live in an uncaring universe” yeah dude and I live in an uncaring house. and I shit in an uncaring toilet. but do you touch an uncaring lover? do you comfort an uncaring child? do you guide to sleep each night a cold and uncaring self?
jason grace is the type of guy to eat the food even if the waiter got him the wrong order, zero complaints. you CANNOT pry the "that's not my order" out of him
Someone commented this on the post, and it’s so fucking true.
VVVVVVVVVVV (Author of comment).
@aficionadoenthusiast Jason was totally locked down. i'm not necessarily talking about their individual actions but more the overarching themes of their characters. yes, percy had more wiggle room, but he still chose to break cycles. zeus never would have given jason that option because he never saw jason as more than a weapon, which colored jason's judgement of himself. yes, jason made those choices you mentioned, but they were still within the constraints of the cycle. it's so much harder to break a cycle when you don't realize you're in a cycle in the first place.
NOT MY COMMENT!!!! But I wholly agree with all of this.
yes, percy rose through the ranks of new rome disturbingly fast. no, jason did not do the same at camp half blood. yes, percy's rise to leadership at both camps took about two weeks and was completely unplanned. no, the same cannot be said for jason. his rise was carefully planned and took over a decade. they're both children of the big three, but where percy thrums with raw power, jason is a sword honed by zeus and hera. where percy is a survivor, jason is a weapon. where percy is a cycle breaker, jason can't get out. jason's fatal flaw was temptation to deliberate because he never managed to make his own choices. he was every classic definition of a hero rolled into one, and he never questioned it because his happiness came after the responsibility. jason was never going to ascend as fast as percy because jason was raised on hard work and discipline while percy, an abuse survivor and child of poverty, knew when to fight dirty. where jason was a transplant, percy was an invasive species. jason was always going to die because he was never more than a tool for the gods to throw away when he outlived his usefulness, or when he started to question his place. if someone as locked down as jason can question the system, anyone can. now that luke has put thoughts of overthrow in everyone's heads, zeus has to be very careful because while jason was expendable as his weapon, percy was unexpected in every way. zeus has no plan for him. when percy dies, he will become a martyr, so he can't die, except now everyone knows that percy doesn't want to be a god either. jason had to die, and now percy has to live.
It’s a bi— I mean beautiful day in the neighborhood.
ya’ll were really gonna let me live my life in ignorance thinking mr. rogers was straight???
💙 Your Kindness is Keeping Us Alive
My name is Mosab, and my world has been shattered. I have lost 25 of my family members in this war. Every single day is a painful reminder of what we’ve lost and how much we are struggling to survive.
But you have been our light in the darkness. We have reached $3,300 in donations, and I cannot begin to express my gratitude. This support has meant shelter, food, and hope. It has meant knowing that someone out there cares.
💔 The grief is suffocating. Losing 25 people is a loss that can never truly heal. 🥀 The future is uncertain, but we are still here.
Even a $5 donation could be life-changing for us. If you can’t donate, simply sharing this post could mean finding someone who can.
I don’t have the words to express how much your kindness means to us. Thank you for not letting us feel invisible.
With endless gratitude, Mosab & Family ❤️

No. No. No. No. Percy carried the sacrifice for Nico after being abandoned by Thalia . He saw what he wanted in an older sibling figure and then gave Nico that. Nico lied to him and got him kidnapped even though it was unintentional. Nico always ran away from Percy. Percy tried and no matter how many people say’ well he was angry at him while he wanted to ring Nico‘s neck’ he wanted to do this and he wanted to do this that, I’m sorry, but if someone assisted in my kidnapping even unknowingly, lied to me and then blamed everything in their life on me when I literally accept death for them and then are like yeah you’re in the wrong you’re a bitch. I would be so angry. He was 14. 14 he shouldn’t have had to be able to save somebody else’s life. He was a child, he shouldn’t have been expected to do that. He promised Nico and tried his best to fulfill it. Bianca chose death and I know this is a very sad death and it’s a lot of emotional pain and character but the thing is Percy couldn’t have stopped this if he wanted to the prophecy said that this would happen the faith said that this would happen. This was foretold. This was written in the stone of the timeline. What was a 14-year-old boy who barely knew his own powers and fighting going to do about that huh? What was he gonna do? Could Percy have handled it better yes absolutely positively but he searched for Nico. He felt for Nico. He loved Nico. He cared about Nico and he tried so hard to make retribution for everything even though it wasn’t his fault and also I know Nico‘s death of his sister and just all his trauma is very sad and I’m not trying to like excuse any of that so I really don’t want comments saying but this in this doesn’t happen but it was War like it was quest they were supposed to die. A lot of people died in that war. Everyone focuses on oh Bianca died. He was Nico‘s only she was Nico‘s only personal and emotional support. What do you think? Percy was feeling when he was 12 and just watched his mother get murdered by the Minotaur like I know she didn’t stay dead, but imagine that pain and he still was kind to people he still cared about people. I know that like his fatal flaws, loyalty, and he feels loyalty to all humanity, and he will always be unkind and nice person about that, but she felt pain. Percy felt the pain of death and all of his friends that died there. Everyone don’t make them fight against each other. They’ve reconciled their differences and I know that the original creator of this video, make sure that they he said that they understood it but like we have a fandom need to start understanding this. I’m not attempting to diminish Nico’s pain, but I’m trying to make us understand Percy’s and Percy’s point of view like when he put the door to Nico’s neck it really looked like Neeks was attempting to betray him even though he had done all this shit for him. Sorry for the rant.
Heyyy Ive been seeing you in my activity lately I just wanna say thank you so much and nice to meet you!
Oh my effing gosh, so nice to meet you too!
i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping
Apparently a lot of people get dialogue punctuation wrong despite having an otherwise solid grasp of grammar, possibly because they’re used to writing essays rather than prose. I don’t wanna be the asshole who complains about writing errors and then doesn’t offer to help, so here are the basics summarized as simply as I could manage on my phone (“dialogue tag” just refers to phrases like “he said,” “she whispered,” “they asked”):
“For most dialogue, use a comma after the sentence and don’t capitalize the next word after the quotation mark,” she said.
“But what if you’re using a question mark rather than a period?” they asked.
“When using a dialogue tag, you never capitalize the word after the quotation mark unless it’s a proper noun!” she snapped.
“When breaking up a single sentence with a dialogue tag,” she said, “use commas.”
“This is a single sentence,” she said. “Now, this is a second stand-alone sentence, so there’s no comma after ‘she said.’”
“There’s no dialogue tag after this sentence, so end it with a period rather than a comma.” She frowned, suddenly concerned that the entire post was as unasked for as it was sanctimonious.
If you see this on your dashboard, reblog this, NO MATTER WHAT and all your dreams and wishes will come true.
