Of Fairies and Fraternities Chapter 9

Hey all!  I decided to try and start posting my chapters on here as well as ff.net!  So, here is chapter 9 of ‘Of Fairies and Fraternities’!  Find it HERE on ff.net!

Lucy’s POV

Before Lucy knew it, almost a month had flown by at Magnolia University, and she was well acquainted with everyone in Fairy Tail.  She was so happy to finally have some real friends and escape the life that she was once trapped in by her father.  She could already feel herself getting stronger, her magic power a little more under control, and her spirits’ power coursing through her veins.  Everything was more perfect than she had ever thought it would be; she was getting along with her studies well, and she had had time here and there to work on her novel, which Levy was always hounding her about, but Lucy didn’t mind.  She was a full member of Fairy Girls, and Cana was a great mentor so far, letting her know all the events that were to happen in the guild, and setting a fairly good example of what alcohol can do to a person, but Lucy loved Cana either way.

Lucy made her way to the Battle Dome for Gildarts’ class; she was really enjoying the combat portion of her training more than she thought she would.  She was having fun with it, but deep down she was appreciating it because it allowed her the skill to protect herself and her friends if need be.

Lucy pushed open one of the large glass doors leading into the dome, heading down the long hall that opened out into the huge arena.  Gildarts was standing in the center of the room as usual, arms crossed over his chest, and blue mats stacked by his feet.  Some of the other students were filtering in eyeing the mats suspiciously as Lucy was doing as she waited for Natsu and Gray to arrive.  She liked having the two boys in the class with her, not only did she have friends in the class, but they were also great teachers.  They knew so much about magic and combat, Lucy knew that with them, and Gildarts, she was in good hands.

“Lucy!”  A familiar voice called, and before Lucy had time to react, a blur of blue fur slammed into her chest, nuzzling into her neck.

“Hey, Happy!” Lucy greeted him; he played the part of their personal cheerleader during class.  He liked watching Natsu train, and participated when he could during exercises.

“Yo!” Came Natsu’s greeting, not far behind Happy’s, as he and Gray walked across the lacquer floor, a bright smile plastered on Natsu’s face.

“Hey!”  Lucy called, one hand waving, the other supporting Happy as he sat  snuggled against her chest.  Her heart fluttered once again as Natsu gave her his signature toothy grin.  She shoved the feeling down, trying to ignore the blush that was threatening to appear, and attempted to compose herself.

“What’s up, Lucy?” Gray asked casually.  “You and Levy have had your noses crammed into so many books lately that we haven’t really had a chance to hangout at the guild.”

“Well, midterms are right around the corner.” Lucy giggled slightly and Gray ran a hand through his hair.

“A-ahh…  Right.”  

“Don’t tell me you two have forgotten?”  Lucy joked, but when the two in front of her looked away sheepishly, she placed her hands authoritatively on her hips.  “You guys!  They’re next week, you need to get studying!”

“Eh, I’ll be fine!  It’ll be a breeze, magic is easy.” Natsu waved her concerns away, but she placed a pointed stare at him.

“And what about your other classes?”

“Er…  You’ll…  Help me?”  Natsu grinned down at her and she rolled her eyes at him playfully.

“Right….  We’ll see about that one, buddy.  Maybe I’ll just have to go tell Erza.”  The two boys looked at her in horror, and Lucy stifled a giggle that was threatening to burst from her throat.

“Alright, listen up everyone!  Stop flirting, time for class,” Gildarts clapped his hands, gave a playful stare at the trio making Lucy’s cheeks burn in embarrassment, and then continued.  “Today we will be focusing on hand to hand combat.  I know, this is a magical combat class, I get it.  But everyone can benefit from some fighting skills you know.  Magic isn’t fool proof, you can run out of magical power or someone can overpower you, and you’ll need combat skills.” He explained and then gestured to the blue mats by his feet.  “I want you to get into pairs, grab a mat, and just practice what you know.  I’ll be around to help and to give you some other moves you can pracitce.”

Chapter 9

Cutting Class

“I’m mad at you.”

Natsu quirked a brow, a small, curious frown resting on his face. He had just woken up and checked his phone as if it was the morning newspaper- which he doubted anybody actually read- when he saw the new text, surprised to find Lucy’s name appear on his screen. During his sleep, he had forgotten that he gave her his number.

“Whatcha mad about?” Natsu typed back. He couldn’t remember doing anything bad.

Seeing as how Lucy’s text was sent almost half an hour ago and that she should be in her creative writing class, the boy didn’t expect to get a reply. So, he started getting ready for math. He could ask what she was mad about then.

Still, waiting caused his nerves to be a jumbled mess. He didn’t want Lucy to be mad, especially with him.

Glancing towards the other half of the room, Natsu noticed that Gray still wasn’t back, which meant he was probably going to get ready with Juvia. He had no clue how Cana could put up with that. There had been times when he came back to his room, only to hear loud clapping noises coming from inside his room, along with Juvia’s breathy moans. Knowing what it meant, he turned and ran the opposite direction every time.

Sex wasn’t something that appealed Natsu. Sure, he had woken up with his body aroused before, to which he would give in to his body’s demands, but he never had a strong desire for it. He never pictured a specific girl as he jerked himself, only the shape of a woman.

As his body naturally woke up hard, Natsu headed towards the shower, turning it on to a mild temperature before removing his clothes. Stepping inside, he wrapped his hand around his length and began to pump, closing his eyes and trying to imagine the faceless woman he often pictured.

Only this time she had a face.

Along with golden hair, big brown eyes, and pink plump lips.

It was Lucy.

Natsu’s breaths grew shaky as he felt himself close to release. He pictured Lucy in only red, lacy underwear, on top of him and giving him a lustful stare as she kissed downwards to his-

White liquid spurted out as his body shook with pleasure. He continued to pump for a few more seconds before leaning against the wet, tile walls, the water washing over him. Natsu was surprised that Lucy had infiltrated his thoughts and was even more surprised at how he welcomed her.

“This is gonna be the death of me.”

The chaos gets to Natsu and when his shock finally fades he’s left broken, bitter, and angry.

Chapter 1

A demon. Natsu was a demon, not just any but END himself. Looking at the scales on his claws in disgust he attempts to tear them off only to find his scales as hard as steel. Tears stream down his partially scaled face, the skin sensitive and red from their constant rubbing. No matter what he did, the horns and scales wouldn’t disappear, this ugly transformation was permant and the sharp pain in his back was evermore increasing. Natsu falls to his knees in front of Igneel’s corpse, choking on tears at the realization of his situation. His heart hurt so badly as if it were ripped from his chest. To see his father killed and hear Zeref’s laughter triggered a rage that scared even Natsu. That loss of control revealed his true, painful, ugly form.

Lucy began calling his name from a distance causing him to shudder in response. Fear spread through his body like wild fire at the notion of his friends spotting him but his legs just wouldn’t work. Natsu was grounded, helplessly waiting for the inevitable outcome.

Hate.

Disgust.

Isolation.

Why was she running towards him? Why was Gray close behind? Didn’t they hear Zeref’s declaration? Can’t they see that Igneel’s death was Natsu’s fault? Lucy is the first to reach him, embracing her dragonslayer despite the harshness of his scales. Gray stands silently watching them, a look of confusion wresting on his face.

“Can you turn back?”

It was a simple question, one that was answered by silence but it brought Lucy’s attention to Natsu’s true appearance. She sucks in a breath at the sight of him, gingerly touching his face. Her fingers feathered the skin nearest his scales, concern rising as her friend shuts his eyes. It hurt.

Rough hands force him upward and Natsu finds himself draped across Gray’s shoulder.

“Makarov will know what to do.”

Makarov, the guild, Fairy Tail. They were taking him to Fairy Tail. Fire erupts from his body, burning Gray and forcing his friend to let him go. This was all to much, he had to get away. Gray thought this was reversible but it wasn’t. The agonizing pain in his back overwhelms him and Natsu falls to his knees crying out in pain and hugging his sides as two massive dragon wings tear out from his back, reducing his back to a bloody mess. Black spots overtake his vision and the world spins around him, a headache so fierce he feels like throwing up. Natsu barely notices Lucy catching him as he blacks out, her cries for Gray to help going unnoticed.

Natsu stirs in his sleep, bleary eyes opening just to find himself in Lucy’s bed. The pain was gone but his demon form was still there. He felt heavy, as if gravity was acting against him and yet he was still aware of his surroundings. For instance, he could here the door slowly opening and caught the strong smell of coffee.

“You’re awake.” It was more of a statement then a question. Lucy makes her way to the side of the bed and sets her coffee on the nightstand. She gingerly runs her hand through his hair as if trying to comfort him. “You really scared me you know. We barely reached Wendy in time, if it wasn’t for her you would’ve-“ Lucy pauses, not wanting to say that dreaded word. “But you’re okay now,” the mage says softly, “And that’s all that matters.”

“Luce.”

She smiles at her nickname, the worry apparent in her eyes. His friend leans down and kissed his forehead before getting back up as if to leave. He reaches out immediately, grabbing her arm, silently begging for her to stay. She seems to catch on and joins him in bed, not denying his need to embrace her under the covers.

“I’m a demon.” He whispers, his heart racing.

Lucy nestles closer, placing her head against his chest and smiles.

“Demons don’t have hearts, and yet you do.”

He wasn’t sure what to make of her response and yet he took comfort in it. His eyes grew heavy and once again Natsu drifted into sleep, not wanting to think anymore.
