[ 22:25 ] if loving kaeya was hard enough, then learning to unlove him was just as much.

it hits you like a bullet at random times of the day. memories you thought you have already buried in the deepest part of your mind pierces your skin and strikes directly to your heart. soften fragments of him and everything that had to do with him haunting your mind, like an annoying ghost you couldn't exorcise. his sweet words poisoning your mind to no end, the places on your body that he once touched kept burning your skin.

but was it so wrong to still want him despite it all?

there was a tiny part of you that regretted ever walking away, the you who still believed in him—the you who's still intoxicated with his destructive love. and you had to clench your fists to the point they're cloudy white to ground yourself that it's for the better, digging your feet into the earth to prevent yourself from running back to his cold unloving arms.

you had to remind yourself again and again that kaeya does not deserve you after everything he had done, for breaking you to the point you believed you're can't be fixed. for burning your soul to ashes with the heat of his touch that had grown cold. for drowning you in his ocean of lies, dragging you to the very bottom without letting you breathe.

you had to remind yourself that choosing to end your ties with him was better than letting him ruin you even further than he already had, and that you were not at fault that he chose to love someone else when he already had you in the very beginning.

you did nothing wrong.

you gave him everything you had and more. you just simply loved him more than he ever did to you, and there was nothing wrong with that. it's not wrong to miss the kaeya you once loved. it's not wrong to let your heart break and cry for him for now because you know, in time, it will heal itself back up.

and when you start to understand, these memories of him that revisit you will stop becoming haunted. you'll stop wanting it, him, back. the distant images only becomes a reminder that not everything that seems attached on you is for you. and everything will become easier when you have come to terms that you deserve better, that it is only right for you to walk away.

you decided that this isn't an ending, but rather a revolution. a better beginning, a redirection. like finding a map after a year of being lost—on him.

VENTI

i’m not even into astrology but you’re 100% an air sign, or at least, you’re very free and act a little childish or naively. while some people think you’re a bit much to handle, you have a heart of gold and strive to do the best thing, whether it be for others or yourself. you can’t stick to schedules or due dates for the life of you and your laziness will be the end of you. you find it easy to charm or persuade others into doing what you want, though it’s usually for something petty. it’s hard for you to understand the emotions of others and often try and comfort people with laughter. in essence, you’re a lot like the tone-deaf bard himself! do you have a talent for the arts or music?

XIAO

you’re a simp. the biggest kind possible. you considered making a shrine to pull xiao (if you didn’t already.) you’re either very much like xiao, in the sense that you’re cold and curt, or the complete opposite— an emotional, empathetic mess. xiao is your comfort character, whether it be that you relate to how he feels (grief, inability to socialize, personality) or you find your heart aching to hold and comfort him. do you take a while to respond to texts? you’ve wanted to get a bunch of piercings and tattoos. if you’ve dyed your hair, it probably looked incredible.

ZHONGLI

you’re classy, book smart, and have a thing for older men. you don’t like straying far from comfort zones or familiarity but if the chance comes to prove yourself, you try your best. a small part of you thinks you’re better than everyone (you’re probably correct LOL). you have an eye for graphic design or fashion. you’re gullible though, often finding yourself not aware of slang. is it hard to talk comfortably to others? you’re probably a little close minded. are you an intp/infp? an introvert? dislike loud crowds?

CHILDE

bastard, that’s what you are. attitude problem. you’re loud, blunt, outgoing, and people find it easy to dislike you. you’re aggressive or easy to provoke, and welcome fights or confrontation. i want to sock you in the face so bad. your ego is huge in someway or another and confidence oozes from you, albeit most of is fake. despite all this, you’re friendly and when you aren’t in a lousy mood, you’re very pleasant to talk to and polite. whatever you’re trying to subtly do, i’m here to tell you that you aren’t subtle at all. why do you have so many five stars. you’re rich, one way or another.

you’re so attractive. you probably smell so good and are for sure very flirty or find it easy to converse with people. you’re very into alcohol or find the effect of it very fun. you’re bold, borderline trend setter. if you’re into nightclubs, you’re the center. no seriously, how do you smell so good😭 you’d rather die than be caught slacking on looks. you spend so much money on yourself (as you should.) do you gossip a lot? or are quick to dislike people? despite the seemingly bimbo facade, you’re smart and tactical when you need to be. do you like it when things are in your control? or rather, do you snap when things aren’t in your full control?

DILUC

childe fan 2.0. you think you’re so much better than everyone, the arrogance hurts. a dry texter and a pain to talk to over message. despite this, you have a good heart and intentions. if someone were to tell you their issues, you’d look for the quickest way to solve the problem instead of comforting them. you’re a good cook, huh? you’re probably super good in the kitchen. you’re a competitor with xiao fans for being the biggest simp. i feel like you have a thing for gloves but most of it is just a thing for men who don’t treat you right. you either want diluc to pin you to a wall or you want to coddle the poor boy.

ALBEDO

you’re an artist or find interest in the arts. you find yourself liking niche things and it’s unique, super cute! you’re super into pretty pretty boys, and would die for any man who regularly dresses in beige and/or vests. you’re so aesthetic, or very well kept. your room’s air is fresh, i just know it. how much are you into plants? you probably prefer a pure white color scheme or minimalism over darker, more cluttered ones.

SCARAMOUCHE

These words have always been in the back of your head, lock up in the darkest corner in your mind ever since it made it's appearance when your dearest beloved had confessed his true identity to you, he was the Geo Archon, the god of war and contracts, the god of your home, and now your fiance, he was Rex Lapis.

He had lived longer than you, he had seen the world crumble and rebuild itself, he had seen wars, deaths, sorrows, and joys. He was older and wiser than you, had experienced far more many things than you, and he continues to do so with you.

Moments with him were precious, even when it's only the mundane things, from drinking tea at dawn to laying on your shared bed talking about the most random things late at night, every second of it is precious.

Furthermore, those precious moments seem to be playing in your head like a broken film as you hold your beloved close to your chest.

He was suppose to out live you.

The atmosphere feels cold, he feels cold, laying limp in your arms, amber orbs softly and faintly glowing as he stares at your crying ones, each drop of tears that fell from your face hurts him more than the huge wound on his stomach, he's running out of time, how ironic time was insignificant to him before, but now that he was at death's door and about to leave you behind, he wishes he had more time

"Zhongli please..." you beg, you beg him to not leave you, beg him to stay just a bit longer, for your sake.

"I'm sorry dearest" his voice was trembling along with his hand that reach out to your face, cupping your cheeks, caressing them as if they were made of glass, "I couldn't see you in that wedding dress."

You cried harder, held him closer, begged to whoever god that could hear you to make him stay longer.

"Dear Celestia, don't take him away from me."

His hand drop from your cheeks, tired eyelids closing to rest as he slip away from you, you call out his name, once, twice, god knows how many times, hoping- praying, that this is nothing more than a nightmare, that this just an illusion, a lie.

Through your grief, a thought came to light.

Rest, now he can finally rest.
