⠀✔︎ Zhongli realizes he loves you suddenly, though it’s been mounting for some time in the back of his mind. It hits him on a quiet night, when he’s at the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor signing papers. One moment he hopes that he hasn’t kept you waiting too long, and in the next his thoughts drift to you. Of how peaceful you look asleep, breath coming in steady whispers and brow devoid of furrows and stress. How you instinctively cling to him when he joins you in bed, even unconscious. Zhongli can’t help his smile, nor can he fault the way his chest feels fuller knowing that he has someone to come home to. The realization hits him, though, when he thinks that he wouldn’t mind spending the rest of his life with you in it, and it shakes the immovable geo archon so much that he doesn’t even realize he’s dropped his pen.

⠀✔︎ Diluc doesn’t realize he loves you for a long time–– mainly because he isn’t really familiar with the topic. At first, he finds it strange that his throat tightens up whenever you near him, or that he grows frazzled when you merely bring him a trinket that reminded you of him. He thinks he might be sick at first, and he confuses the hell out of Barbara when he relays his symptoms to her. It takes him having to consult Jean, then Lisa, then taking a good, long time to mull over the fact. His realization hits him fully when he sits near his father’s grave, pensive yet peaceful in the moment. He rambles aloud, as if his father could nod along to every word. He talks about how your eyes glitter when you talk about something you enjoy, about how he itches to hold your hand and wrap you in his coat on colder nights. And when his mouth is dry and he’s exhausted himself, it’s as if he could hear his father’s voice in his mind saying, “You’re in love, son.”

⠀✔︎ Kaeya realizes it relatively quick, but is in denial. He’s observant, so it’s easy for him to catch the way his stare tends to stick on you or how, when you enter a room, his head always raises and a smile quirks his lips. He knows the signs of budding feelings when he sees them, but at first he merely thinks of it as attraction and nothing deeper. It takes someone hitting on you at Angel’s Share for him to realize that it might not just be skin-deep, though. When you smile at the man who politely complimented you and asked if you’d like a drink, Kaeya realizes that even if he wishes to intervene, at the end of the day, you’re not romantically with him. This encounter pushes him to realize the depth of his feelings for you, to say the least. Thankfully, you politely decline the stranger, and the rest of your night is uneventful. But when he walks you back home, your hand in his, Kaeya finally accepts that what he feels for you is so much more than just infatuation.

GENSHIN CHARACTERS who...

DILUC who rises up in dawn, certainly far earlier than you. brushing lips against the skin of your temple, letting his mouth linger for a few seconds as he closes his eyes and cherishes the moment, praying to the anemo archon to keep you safe no matter what. carefully supporting your body that leaned on his side with his right arm.

DILUC who would willingly shed his life and die for mondstat without a sign of hesitation but lives for you. DILUC who would pause amidst a pillar while scrutinizing a lone abyss mage, unconsciously scouring the field for a possible exit if things possibly go wrong.

KAEYA who can't keep his hands to himself, be it in a meeting for all the favonious captains or even more public activities. he instead diverges his growing boredom to yourself, gladly letting his hands roam around, sometimes in innocent touches on the skin such as fiddling on the hem of your clothing or not so innocent places...

KAEYA who can't help but let his eyes wander over to you as he most probably disregards another of his fellow captains. KAEYA who stares at you with a smile full of mysterious and a glint just as enigmatic as him shining in his eyes and panics for a split second, swiftly twitching his mouth up in a smirk when you turn your head to his direction.

TARTAGLIA who spoils you rotten with his never-ending wealth that he most definitely doesn't spend on himself alone, he's got to spend it otherwise unless it'll go to waste, right? TARTAGLIA who's eyes grow from cold to instantly warm, his eyes soften while his posture relaxes as he blends into the shadows and silently watches as you interact with his siblings.

TARTAGLIA who's shoulders slouches down in guilt but is brimming with warmth and appreciation when he finds you passed out in the couch, the lousy blanket barely covering your body, exposing it to the cold. he sighs and shakes his head but hoists you up in his arms, brings you close before trudging over to the bedroom with the promise if making it up to you swirling in his mind.

ZHONGLI who unknowingly peers at your lips when in a random conversation with you, his eyes constantly switches over from your eyes and to your mouth over and over again so it's hard to not notice. he apologizes softly, frankly embarrassed at being caught and shyly avoids your eyes.

ZHONGLI would sit on a comfortable chair with your head on his chest as he speaks as though he's experienced the many notable events from past decades and millennia. he wouldn't even notice that you already drifted off with his relaxing voice that is until he looks down after he's finished.

VENTI who strums his lyre and hums a song along with the melody upon the dark starry sky. quietly gazing at you with fond eyes when the song reaches the part where he mentions something about 'forever and love', then laughing softly when he spots you already fast asleep.

VENTI who loves to mess with you with sending bursts of wind, gentle to yourself but fierce to bring an object clutched into your arms high up into the air, letting it spin around violently for a few seconds before letting the wind lead it back to your annoyed self.

XIAO watches from the balcony of the inn, glancing down and observing you from above all while you happily clutch a bag of snacks, waving at the patrons before climbing up the stairs, no doubt wanting to share with him once more. how foolish, he thinks but if so then he's stupid one.

XIAO who doubts that you'll call out his name, more or less mutter it. so why does he await your voice? XIAO who hates to see you hurt, sharply scolding you for being so 'clumsy and stupid' as he leans down and inspects you for any more fatal injuries.

ALBEDO who's attention diverts to you when he picks up a trace of your voice calling out to him. ALBEDO who most likely reminds himself that a creature such as him wasn't born with the same set of feelings, organs, and emotions such as innate beings such as humans so why does he feel the strange fluttering in his chest?

ALBEDO who knows just how to charm you and is aware that you convey the same attraction and love he holds towards you. ALBEDO who suddenly pauses when in the middle of an activity, only to think about memorable moments he knows of you, his lips forming to a graceful and tender smile.

SCARAMOUCHE who criticizes you for bare minimum and is unable to hold back from bursting out a string of insults that pops in his mind in an attempt to deny that him, scaramouche, the balladeer is totally not in love! the anger in him only increases further when he sees your shocked face, not to you but to him. he screams internally, you idiot.. you hurt them! wait I don't care about their feelings--damn it, damn you for making me feel this way you witch!!..

SCARAMOUCHE who reluctantly sits beside you without as much as even uttering a word. just a silent, meaningful action, the two of you sit in a comfortable silence. basking the others presence while scaramouche holds a conflicting storm of unkept and chaotic feelings inside of him.

KAZUHA who greets you with a coy smile, pressing a kiss to the back of your palm while beidou holds back a bark of "how smooth, lover boy!". KAZUHA who's the type to brood and swiftly intervene in a conversation when he catches a crew member getting a little too close, can you blame him? a jewel such as you is something he wants to keep.

KAZUHA who just accepts his fate with open arms when you slide yourself to his side. KAZUHA who holds you close as you both watch the sun rise as the water gently rocks the ship back and forth along with you.

THOMA who never forgets to say "I love you" when going somewhere, even if he's forced by ayato to come in at komore teahouse while you wave him goodbye from the outside, sipping on your tea as he gets dragged in by the head of the yashiro commission.

THOMA who voices his want to finally be free from being cooped up in the komore teahouse for 'so long' and begs you to "please buy something for him because he misses the taste of inazuman street food". brightening up and peppering you in kisses when you agree.

lightning streaks through the stormy clouds, a jagged flash of blinding white threatening to rip the sky in half. rain pours down mercilessly from the heavens, almost seeming furious with the intensity with which they sting your sky, blurring your vision as you clutch your sword tightly. the wooden planks of the dock beneath you creak loudly, appearing ready to crack underfoot from how much they've rotted over time. kazuha's white hair with its familiar vein of red stands out against the darkness surrounding you both, giving you the impression of an angel as he looks out the monstrous waves crashing repeatedly onto the shore with an indescribable expression. "we're finally leaving," he says, unperturbed by the strength of the wind howling around the two of you. his hand still aches from the burn he received from his friend's dying vision, that much you can tell from how he keeps it sheathed in the soft material of his clothes. yet suddenly, he pushes you aside and tilts his head, just in time for an arrow to go whizzing past both of you, so close it nearly grazes your arm. kazuha sighs, eyes beginning to gleam as red as rubies in the inky night, "i should have known the shogun wouldn't let our passage be that easy."

the two of you whip your weapons out, though you don't miss how kazuha winces, his hand still hurting from the injury. "leave them to me, 'zuha. get on the boat," you instruct, gesturing to the small boat besides you that's rocking violently from the motion of the waves. your boyfriend's expression tenses, "no, i can't do that! i'm not going to leave you here!" you lean closer to him, cupping his face with one hand while the other grips the hilt of your sword tightly. searching his coppery eyes, you press a kiss against his lips, "i love you, 'zuha. and you know me, i'll find a way to you." kazuha's gaze meets yours as raindrops soak his face and trickle down his cheeks, mimicking the tears he never lets fall no matter how much he mourns, and he whispers so softly you can barely catch it over the sound of thunder cracking, "i don't want to lose anyone anymore." "you won't be losing me, 'zuha. c'mon, don't you believe in how you taught me to fight?" you chuckle, nuzzling against his cheek to try a coax a smile out of him, even as the sound of the kanjobugyo draws ever closer. "please, come back to me," he murmurs under his breath, cursing his wound a million times over and hoping against hope that you'll succeed and somehow make it back to him in one piece, "i love you." "i promise, and i love you too, kazuha. now go!" you kiss him once more, embracing the passion and urgency of the action before running off with a wave. kazuha can only watch helplessly as you run off into the fray, his little boat set to sail away into the intimidating ocean from the force with which you kicked it after untying the thread docking it to the pier.

"y/n, you have committed severe treachery against inazuma. surrender immediately, and your punishment will be lessened," the voice of kujou sara states coolly, one hand caressing her sword. "bla bla bla, whatever. i'm not planning on surrendering anytime soon," you retort, "plus, isn't surrendering going against inazuma's entire principle of eternity?" sara's eyes widen slightly at your impertinence, but she quickly schools her expression back into one of normalcy, "where is kaedehara kazuha? he has been declared a wanted criminal." "kazuha? oh, he's long gone," you curl your lips into a smirk as surprise washes over her face from your lie. you just need to stall long enough for kazuha to get away, that's it. "that means he has disobeyed the sakoku decree, and you too are guilty for assisting him. upon being taken into custody, you will be separated from your vision per the orders of the immortal shogun," sara quickly says, her gaze darting to the gleaming vision at your hip. your sword glitters as you infuse it with elemental energy and prepare yourself for a battle, "aw, that isn't very nice of her, is it? giving the gift of a vision only to take it away. rather rude, if you ask me." "y/n, you don't have to do this. if you submit to us and hand over your vision, we don't need to resort to violence," sara gives one final attempt at neutralising the situation, but you aren't changing your mind. from your peripheral vision, you realise that kazuha's boat isn't visible anymore, which means he should be in international waters by now, where the laws of inazuma are no longer applied. whispering a silent prayer up to celestia, you beam, "i'm not going down without a fight. if you want my vision, come and get it." and as a dozen kanjobugyo soldiers rush at you, you know there's no chance you're getting out of here alive, so you're left with nothing to do except offer an apology to kazuha for breaking your promise and toss your vision into the air with all your strength - even in your last moments you refuse to let the tyrannical ruler win.

kazuha's sitting down in his boat, enjoying the peace of the sunny day that has come after the horrific storm, although there's a knot in his stomach he can't quite quell, no matter how much he tries to stay positive. his mind keeps wandering to thoughts of you and your safety, even as he tries to think about how much fun he'll have when you meet him in liyue. at least until something drops out of the sky into his lap, and when he sees what it is his heart sinks into his chest. it's a vision which he instinctively knows is yours, but would have recognised anyway from the initials you carved onto the corner. it's truly a miracle it managed to reach him, like your dying wish had propelled its energy all the way across the sea. almost as if it knows it has reached its target, the vision fizzles softly, sparks flying off it as the colour begins to fade.

and that's when kazuha finally lets himself cry, because he knows you'll never come back to him now.

ALBEDO wears a simple white shirt paired with a beige vest which compliments his hair and brings out the icy colour of his eyes, which fill with warmth upon seeing you in your stunning outfit. when you arrive at the venue, he's the date who gets you drinks and makes sure you're comfortable at all times. he takes you dancing, mentioning seriously that he's been looking forward to this and practicing ever since you became his lab partner in chemistry. his gaze meets yours, and suddenly confidence rushes through your veins and leads you to press a gentle kiss against his soft lips. the look of pleasant surprise on his expression makes your later embarrassment entirely worth it.

childe.

CHILDE wasn't even meant to be your date, yet here he is twirling you in the center of the room. as he pulls you into a grand dip, his breath caresses your ear when he murmurs, "they don't know what they're missing." rewind to an hour ago, when you saw your prom date kissing some other girl and almost burst into tears. thankfully, CHILDE, your childhood best friend who's stuck with you all the way into high school was there to comfort you, and he reassured you that your prom night will still be incredibly memorable. for the rest of the night, the two of you shared inside jokes, danced, chatted, and overall had the time of your lives. and if the night ended with you leaving a fleeting kiss on his cheek, maybe it just meant your prom night was a total success, with your formerly unnoticed feelings for CHILDE finally coming to light.

diluc.

DILUC is ready to go all-out for your prom night, he's spent weeks preparing himself to ask you, and when you agreed to be his date he was over the moon. with an endless supply of cash at his disposal, he had nothing to worry about - or so he thought. somehow, he seemed to have taken a leaf out of your junior bennett's book, as every possible thing that could have gone wrong, went wrong. the limousine he rented had a flat tire, wine stained his suit thanks to a clumsy drunk venti, the flowers in the bouquet he brought for you had wilted from the heat... the list went on and on. DILUC was about to give up and declare that the universe simply despised him when you burst into laughter. pulling him closer with his crimson tie that matched his hair, you nuzzle against his cheek, "having fun with you is more important than any of these gifts, silly."

eula.

EULA is dressed stunningly, and even that's the understatement of the century. with the lights flashing and the beat thumping through your blood, you can hardly form the words to invite her to dance after seeing her in an elegant midnight dress which hugs her figure perfectly. however, she seems to have let loose tonight after perhaps one too many drinks, as she smiles and accepts your invitation with only one proclamation of vengeance. but when you intertwine your fingers with her, leading her around the room in a peculiar fusion between a classic waltz and a modern dance, you swear you see pink dusting EULA's cheeks, a fact you're sure is mirrored on yours.

kazuha.

prom night with KAZUHA is barely spent in the large hall the school rented for your grade. after a few minutes wasted dawdling around the drinks table together, he grabs your hand and leads you out into a city with an enigmatic smile. with his hand in yours, you're sure you can conquer anything, and you'd follow him to the ends of the earth, even if it's just for tonight. this ends up with the wildest night you'll possibly ever have, from screaming offkey in karaoke rooms, jumping in puddles with neon lights reflected in their surfaces, reels of photos with silly faces from the two of you, KAZUHA almost getting into a bar fight at 2a.m. to 'defend your honour', lipstick stains on his neck and bruises from harsh kisses on yours. no matter what, at least you know tonight is unforgettable.

kaeya.

KAEYA spends at least a quarter of the time whispering compliments in a sultry tone, his hands roaming down your torso and clasping around your waist in a tight embrace. he can barely wrap his head around how someone as amazing as you agreed to be his prom date, and he'll be damned if he doesn't make the most of it. dressed in matching outfits, the two of you are unquestionably the hottest couple in the room as you sway on the dance floor. KAEYA's eyes never leave yours, though they occasionally dart down to your lips as if he's tempted to be reckless and close the gap between you both. surprisingly, you're the one who grows tired of this little tête-à-tête first, and you smash your lips against his, hands tugging on his cobalt hair. when he pulls apart, he's breathless, but he leans his forehead against yours with an overjoyed smile before stealing your breath once more.

xiao.

XIAO is incredibly awkward in the crowded room, and it's after two minutes of total silence, that he gains the confidence to pull you outside into the corridor. here, the surroundings are peaceful and quiet, not to mention secluded, as no one else deigns to exit the room. the privacy of the room prompts you to start a game of truth or dare, which starts wholesome in a slow dance around the area, but somehow ends up with XIAO shirtless, his white dress shirt discarded to the floor. no longer able to focus on the game, your eyes rove over the green tattoo snaking around his arms, and the tensed muscles of his toned chest. thankfully, the two of you lean forward at the same time, meeting in a wonderfully heated kiss that leaves sparks flying between both of you, your hands gripping onto his shoulders tightly as if you're scared he'll disappear. maybe XIAO fears the same of you, for he keeps one arm securely around your waist and the other tangled in your hair as he tastes your lips once more, and he swears there's nothing sweeter in the world.

yoimiya.

YOIMIYA asked you out to prom in a marvellous display of fireworks which illuminated the night sky outside your home, though nothing could compare to the brightness of her smile as she awaited your reply. after a showcase like that, who could say no? and right now, as you gaze at your date, you think to yourself that she actually looks like a firework herself, as her dress is decorated in blazing pops of vibrant colours - it suits her to a t. when YOIMIYA turns to you with an enthusiastic beam, querying what you'd like to do first, you find yourself mimicking her expression as a smile curves your lips too, "whatever you like, darling."

◇ He is very curious about this! Is eager to test his new capabilities, especially when he realises his senses are enhanced. So much so that he is cooped up in his lab for days doing various tests before actually creating a cure,,

◇ If you express interest in his condition, Albedo would allow you to help him with his experiments

◇ Catbedo is so cute- when something catches his interest, his eyes dilate when he is thinking, his tail swishes from side to side aAAAAA

◇ Klee would bomb more fish to give to her big bro so you and Albedo have to step in to stop her lest Jean comes after you

◇ Klee is also interested in catbedo! Will ask Albedo to crouch down so she can pet his head then run off immediately to bomb some stuff, yknow usual kid stuff lol she also draws a lot of catbedo :3

◇ Albedo is not a people purson that’s an mistype but I’m keeping it in so he would dislike the extra attention when he goes out in public :( tries his best to ignore it though and sighs/groans when someone points out his cat features

◇ If it gets too annoying, he would wear his hood over his head more often or ask you to gather supplies for him (hopefully the former bc Albedo with his hood on is so hot-)

◇ I think once he realises that you may get flustered by his new look, he will absolutely tease you about it like the smug piece of chalk he is <3 He will jokingly end all of his sentences with “meow” (or incorperate it into his speech) for a while when you two are alone

◇ KDHSJSJS When you deny his request for something, he rubs his cheek against yours and pouts just because he decides he wants to be a piece of shit <3 he’s so mean 🙄 i love him 😫

◇ Once he reverts, he will definitely try to recreate the potion and try to convince you to drink it so you can ✨experience it✨

◇ For the sake of his sanity, let’s say Venti's allergy poofed when he turned into a cat

◇ Obviously his first move is to go to Cat’s Tail to splurge on wine since now he doesn’t have to worry about all the cats (you’re paying of course <3)

◇  He fits right in! The cats are drawn to his ears and songs

◇ Absolutely lets you pet his ears and will act more cutesy to gain your attention (would even meow for you because he is a simp)

◇ If you thought Venti was clingy before, he’s way, way, waaaaaaaaaay more affectionate now

◇ Venti would break stuff if you don’t pay attention to him, even demanding for wine and food more and would break stuff if you didn’t give it to him (ooc but we're making the excuse that it's because of his cat instincts okay? okay)

◇ cats are such brats smh

◇ Venti overly concerned about returning to his original form because now at least his allergy is gone

◇ 50/50 chance that you would be the one begging to change him back because he’s EXTRA whiny in this form

◇ When he actually shuts up, Venti is content with burying his head into your chest/lap while you play with his ears and tail

◇ Savour that moment because he may start meowing randomly at 2am later <3
