finding out there's a frankenstein ballet and that it was in october of last year…DEVASTATING
look at this. look at these. im foaming at the mouth
babey you have WAY too much time on your hands
I am well aware of that, my friend
I drew a little something for the Hiveworks micro comic summer~
I was looking at Yemeni clothing and felt inspired
It’s fun designing someone from my culture
Oh Laika, patron saint of one way trips, I hope our sun is a warm yellow ball to forever play with.
We picked you because we saw greatness,
We picked you because you were the best.
We picked you and you loved us,
And we loved you too.
We called you a name,
We made you home.
Between our game,
Between the unknown.
When we made you a new house,
We loved you.
When we knew it was a coffin,
We loved you.
When we kissed you nose goodbye,
We loved you.
When we sent you to the sky,
We loved you.
You were confused, most likely,
Scared, certainly.
And we loved you.
As the engine died,
As you were left alone in the dark,
No one you could recognize around,
In a space too small yet too vast.
Did you know that we loved you ?
Did it matter ?
You died like a star,
And we never saw you again,
We were the reason, I'm afraid.
At never again, my friend.
something so scary but so sexy about the word "hallow", particularly when it's used to mean something you can do to someone rather than something. to hallow someone, to be hallowed. and it's mostly word association i suppose but part of it to me is how close "hallow" is to "hollow". turning someone holy, emptying them out of everything that actually makes them who they are in the process. do you understand. do you feel me
"Am I my brother's keeper?" Is probably one of my favorite lines in all literature and in all history of humanity because that's literally what it all boils down to. And in a sense, whole bible is an answer to that one question. And if we look at it more broadly, answer to this question is also the answer to life. We are our brothers' keepers, we are here to take care of each other. All of us. "In this terrifying world, all we have are the connections we make."
