we all know the famous butterfly Taylor used for her mural and how it looks similar to Karlie’s reminiscent of her first outfit during hers and Taylor’s performance together

and of course the theme has been replicated a couple of times especially during Hozier’s Take me to Church (coincidentally both Karlie and Taylor were backstage)

and these were the butterfly wings that do not really look anything like the Lover era butterfly

Let me begin this by saying it took me a long time to put this out because I wanted to respect various muse timelines, etc. But I also realized I wanted to at least know the almost/maybe truth (since only Taylor knows).

These are based on interviews, Taylor's journal entries, music video/s, and also compared notes to other fandoms like Gleeks and took a look at Liz's lyrics and social media posts.

My musings/realizations

Many of the songs in Red cannot be about Dianna since a lot of them were written before they met, it's possible they met earlier but we also have to take into consideration Lea/Dianna timeline since they seem like they were serious with Dianna moved in with Lea

I feel like Julianne Hough had a bigger role in Taylor's early life, some lyrics seem to describe her particularly I Bet You Think About Me

Liz going to Eras on 8/3 was sus - side: she reposted @taylorklosscomeout138's post (with all the gaylor and kaylor tags)

It's good to look at Liz's discography too, she seems to be talking about Taylor and according to her lyrics that she fell for the other person esp Nothing Personal and H8u and the other person wasn't as serious as they expected

Showmanship, concerning artistic performing such as in Theatre, is the skill of performing in such a manner that will appeal to an audience or aid in conveying the performance's essential theme or message.

It drives me fucking nuts that Swiffers are trying to pretend that Robin is about Taylor and all of her friends deciding to a simple little white lie to one random little kid she knows when Taylor is literally saying in the song with the line about showmanship that this little boy that she loves so so so much is the only reason that she hasn't turned around and mauled the crap out of her abusive handlers at the metaphorical circus that is her life yet because she's reluctant to put her beloved little guy through the chaotic fallout that her doing that will have when he's still so little that he doesn't even realize that the world can sometimes be such a mean and cruel place yet

unbraiding: State of Grace

I started with Begin Again because it's one song/music video that is clearly pointing us towards the muse

and then Taylor guided us towards the next song State of Grace where she said

with her saying that she has some songs for that person in between but not in chronological order.

I admit, State of Grace is a song that is not very obvious and clear with regards to clues and I just went with what Taylor said.

It's also a song that has confused many gaylors and I appreciate their honesty in saying (credit to all-my-possessions)

and that she wrote it for a love that felt epic

In this song, there is only one line that quite points us to the person she talks about.

and i also saw many articles talking about Karlie's eyes being blue also sometimes green. but one thing is that she purposely used blue so it does not get confused with hazel which can sometimes look green depending on the light. but it's hard to confuse hazel with blue.

the next lyrics are not just gonna be based on more gay vibes and nothing concrete. just imo parallels with other Kaylor songs, and yes I think Style is for Karlie (more on that later)

The recurring theme of love being a game (CLM), rolling the dice, playing, etc talks about how they are conning people making them believe in public facing narratives, etc

The next line also screams NYC to me, with it's busy people full of busy agendas. And of course, it could also mean LA but these lines evoke the feeling of being in New York

The golden part of the lyrics just make me think of daylight lyrics and how it comes back to this Red album saying love is not Red but Golden. And several other references to gold.

Lastly, I don't consider this proof because it was posted after the song but it's suspicious because Swarovski posted and deleted afterwards. and of course, the double swans (Karlie in London photo with double swans).

Again, this song has been tricky because it's a lot of assumptions and biases on my side with the clues being that Taylor herself said Begin Again and SoG have the same muse and the lines about twin fire signs.

She’s got more chemistry with that lipstick than kissing Josh 😂

Can we talk about how if Taylor had phrased it "lesbian pride makes me me!" they'd still be arguing "SHE JUST SUPPORTS LESBIANS!"

There is literally 0 logic to thinking it's not an identity statement, yet they find a way.

If you're not trans like myself then are you really going to say trans pride makes you who you are just because you're an ally???

Who you support does not correlate with personal identity. Something cannot make you who you are unless you are that something. This isn't a complicated concept

I think it's just one of the biggest proofs that it has never mattered what Taylor says or does, and that is why hairpin drop was dismissed when it has 0 other meaning and she doubled down to use it again 2 years after non-stop discourse about it.

It's simply 1 of 2 things:

1. They know Taylor is queer but will always force an act that they don't believe it simply because they don't want her to be or for that to be normalized.

2. They genuinely will not recognize anything explicity queer as queer because of that deep dislike towards the community even if it stems from internalization.

At this point there is simply not anyone that doesn't have homophobic views that cannot see at the very least that the Lover era was a coming out. I do not believe it.

The same song that she said "gay pride makes me me" about is a song about herself, her own love, characterized by queer pride, music video released on lesbian visibility day, and then you further pair that with all the promo posts for it being captioned the date of lesbian visibility with the pictures solely using the lesbian flag colors as the theme. Nobody is confused, it's just hate.

It annoys me that people either assign every TTPD song to any man Taylor’s ever looked at or they say every single song is about herself.

Like. Yes. Most of it is about herself. And her fame. AND her fans.

But she also swirls someone into all her poems. You just don’t like who it is because… you’re an arrogant jerk who wants to be right? You’re some hypocritical faux activist? You wanna be “popular” online? Nah. Get bent.
