This one-room schoolhouse, from 1898, is located in Leelanau County, Michigan. I’ll add some more data here as I track it down. And yes, there is a reproduction of a painting of George Washington on the back wall of the school room.

The Internet Archive is at a crucial juncture in the lawsuit brought against it by multiple record companies. The latter have successfully requested a thirty day stay to negotiate a settlement. The Internet Archive has begun a petition to request that the lawsuit be dropped entirely, due to the risk it poses to the organization and its projects, most important of which right now is the Wayback Machine, the ridiculously huge 'time machine for the internet', due to reasons I hopefully need not mention.

yk I get what ctubbo saw in cranboo. if my coworker was a strange sort-of human creature who constantly fumbled over themself with the most autistic rizz imaginable and was my only source of positive relationship at the time, yeah kiss me already
nlm beeduo is something so special not bc it was the most important thing but bc it was always burning in the background. cabinet meetings abt a country’s demise was horrifying and took over any space it could, it ate with an evergrowing appetite for things loved. but it could not touch the minutes man in the corner who smiled at all the right moments without having a que. and in the spaces where hands locked together in the background, it was sanctity. a head being lulled to sleep by deep breaths shaking through a shoulder was divine worship. the all consuming, pressing issues of a country killing itself, subconsciously, to stay afloat could not wipe their flame.
