writing is so fun
The dresden files show is like, way off from the books, but the one scene I honestly belive would fit in the books is:
Morgan: some things never change. Always blowing things up. Harry: I don’t always blow things up. Morgan: right. Sometimes you set things on fire.
Like, that is a legit exchange that would happen.
I would arm wrestle Jim Butcher for Morgan’s full backstory.
“You’re a person of many virtues. Patience, however, is not one of them.”
I have waited SO LONG to read these marvelous words. And I am very pleased with the context.
Perhaps once I have graduated with an English degree I will have it in me to finish a fic that is longer than 1 chapter.
Morgan: Listen up you little shits.
Morgan: Not you Bill, you're an angel and we're thrilled to have you here.

So, low-key, I know there’s zero textual proof of this and it changes virtually nothing. But I imagine Harry’s eyes to glow different colors when he’s casting different spells. I have no defense or reasons beyond it’s cool.
Harry: Zombies sounds like a bad way to die.
Morgan: Zombies eat brains. You’re safe.
A magic circle is made to keep either magic in, like toot toot, or keep magic out, like the toad demon, and magic can not cross the barrier. If that is the case why does it not seem to work on curses?
I know Harry had to confront shadowman before the council arrives to protect his neck. Why not have Morgan draw a circle around Harry sitting in a chair, power it and watch as the dark spell his the circle and dispense.
Then Morgan can see its not Harry, shocker, and can start looking for the real culprit. I know the book would end far less dramatic then it does but Morgan would have the proof, Harry would not worry about losing his hair and then Shadowman would meet Morgan and his sword.
Not once in the book does Harry ever think about a circle to protect himself from the curse. How simple would that be?
