personally i like the idea of bakugou using deku and izuku interchangeably. like he’ll use izuku most of the time but when deku is being exceptionally stupid (which according to bkg is a lot of the time) he just sighs and goes …deku.

because now when bakugou says deku it doesn’t mean useless, it’s a fondly exasperated you’re so dumb, deku. why are you like this. i missed you so much. i love you.

and deku has mixed feelings because on one hand izuku but on the other hand sometimes he likes hearing deku from someone who doesn’t just see him as a hero. so whenever katsuki says deku he just lights up because in a way it’s how he remembers bakugou has finally forgiven himself and is able to say deku and that just makes izuku really happy. also bakugou just sounds so mad and deku finds that hilarious. he likes to annoy his bf

deku still says kacchan because he straight up doesn’t remember bakugou’s first name, and also because both deku and katsuki like the name kacchan. it makes them happy to remember a time when things were easier, and also kacchan is the name deku has said in fear, happiness, surprise, and more. deku doesn’t want to let go of it, because in some way it shows how much they mean to each other.

also also deku saying kacchan all the time unless him and bakugou are in private (although bakugou had to remind deku what his first name is) so everybody thinks deku’s too shy to say katsuki but when they’re alone deku’s like kaaatsukiiiii and bakugou full on tomato face gay panic amity blight blushes

when katsuki and izuku become friends again it's different from how two highschool boys with so much trauma between them would become friends, quietly and comforting. instead they revert back to the childhood they never had, going back to the days when they were kids and giving each other the life together they could have had. they revert back to eleven year old boys, folding their class notes into paper airplanes and aiming them at each other's heads. they have competitions to see who can turn in their math test first; they make inappropriate jokes in the hallways and izuku dares katsuki to burp the alphabet backwards. they don't talk about swan dives or burnt notebooks or sludge villains or muzzles, instead they merge all might figurine collections and collect hero trading cards. katsuki gives izuku piggyback rides across school and they run across the field, screaming at the top of their lungs. they go to the grocery store and izuku pushes katsuki around in the shopping cart, shoving him right into a shelf and laughing when katsuki gets a cartoonish bump on his head. katsuki writes property of kacchan on izuku's arm in sharpie and izuku gets him back by drawing a dick on his forehead. they still comfort each other on hard nights and hold each other after bad dreams, but more then anything they become kids again. izuku gives katsuki a chance to make it up to him, and katsuki gives izuku a chance to relive a happy childhood. when katsuki and izuku become friends again, it's laughter and tousled hair and the joy of innocence.

as a bkdk shipper i’m not even asking for them to date in the manga or in the show.

but please PLEASE i absolutely need platonic bkdk to happen. i want for them to grow to the point when they share such a deep and strong friendship, that they would kill or die for each other without hesitation. i want for their friendship to be lifelong. i need understanding and trust between them. i need a bond that is so strong that literally no one can break it.

they should be like gon and killua. eric and alphonse. aang and zuko.

i want for izuku to ask bakugou to be his best man at his wedding with uraraka. i want for them to live a happy and long life and there doesn’t have to be romance involved.

i think at some point, when izuku became sassy and confident, he would be just joking around about his “childhood trauma” in a sarcastic way and bakugou would be like super concerned about it, thinking that maybe he’s doing something wrong.

Izuku, being ironic: aah jeez i’m so tired i would jump off a roof to kill myself..

Bakugou, being genuinely worried: no please, don’t do that, i love you, is it my fault?

Deku: I want to wake up with you every day for the rest of our lives

Bakugo: I wake up at 4:30 AM

So I probably shouldn't be giving this any of my attention because the argument was so horrifically flawed but there was a post I saw yesterday. To be specific it was an anti-bkdk rant turned into an anti-internet rant because of how the internet has made us believe bkdk isn't toxic.

Long story short, what they said literally isn't any different than what bkdk antis normally say whenever they talk about how bkdk is supposedly toxic. The only difference is that it was sugarcoated and made to sound sophisticated.

Here's what I picked out of their argument (here's a hint: you won't be shocked):

• They assume that bakudekus/bakugo stans excuse Bakugo's behavior and believe that telling people to off themselves is okay, which we literally never did.

• They appear to not be aware of the fact that there are people who have gotten bullied themselves who like BakuDeku and use it as a coping mechanism for their own experiences. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they do know, just don't care and are convinced there's something wrong with the people who've gotten bullied that aren't bothered by it.

• Treats everyone who likes BakuDeku like children who can't read.

• Calls Bakugo's behavior abusive and ableist when 1. He is not Endeavor and 2. Izuku being quirkless wasn't even the core root of the problem.

• Completely ignores the reason and explanation for why Bakugo acted the way he did AKA it's not that he was quirkless (so not quirkless discrimination) it was just that Bakugo felt as if Izuku was farther ahead than him. Taking into consideration his inferiority complex, which was brought on by the pressure to be the best it's easy (or at least should be) to see why he would eventually have this view of things. It really shouldn't be that hard to understand.

• Says Bakugo bullied Izuku for 10 years when it's literally been said that he actually tried to avoid Izuku most of the time. So his bullying wasn't a constant or consecutive thing like most people make it out to be.

• Can't accept the fact Izuku will never hate Bakugo for what he did. Izuku is by nature just that kind and forgiving so even if they personally believe Bakugo can't be forgiven, it is still up to Izuku at the end of the day. As an add on: Although this seems unrealistic in the real world, it's actually not. Everyone is different and so not everyone will feel/react the same way to their experiences. Someone could struggle to forgive while it could come easily to someone else.

• Believes that because two people had a rough patch means they can never make up.

• Enemies to Lovers/Rivals to Lovers will literally always be called Abusive and Toxic no matter what.

• Bakugo will always be made out to be Antagonistic and a Bad person no matter what.

• Believes that Bakugo and Endeavor are one and the same when Bakugo was a School Bully and Endeavor was an Abusive Parent. The two don't equal one another and should never be compared. It is true that Bakugo could've ended up like Endeavor but the distinction is that he did not.

• Believes people cannot change and that you can't grow from your mistakes.

• Ignores that Bakugo hates himself for what he did and knows he will have to live with those mistakes for the rest of his life. It's adding insult to injury to continue talking about it and acting as if he's still a Bully.

• Ignores that Bakugo apologized to Izuku in front of the WHOLE CLASS and said that he didn't expect his apology to change anything between them.

• Is stuck in the past and can't move past Episode 1, which is also insulting to Horikoshi and his writing.

As a disclaimer (even though I really shouldn't have to say this), I am NOT excusing Bakugo's behavior by saying this. I'm just really fucking tired of people saying he's still the same person he was in Season 1.

tldr: There was absolutely nothing new in this argument and it was the same old points antis have always used in order to "prove" that bkdk is toxic.
