This came to me last night.

Not long enough to be a fanfic so I’m posting it here

Neil knocked the door and cracked his fingers nervously.

Mr Keating opened the door.

“Hello Mr Perry,please enter.”

Neil sat in the so familiar chair,the one he sat so many times before.

Keating could see how nervous he visibly was,and feared the worst.

“Is there something wrong?”

Neil shook his head.

“No,nothing’s wrong,just.”

He took a breath.

“Do you believe in God,captain?”

That took Keating by surprise.

“Yes I do,why?”

“And,how do you feel about people who go against God?”

“I do not believe anyone can truly go against God.”

Neil looked at him,surprised.

“How?”

“Well,I must take back my words,some people do can go against God.The people who go against the Ten Commandments.People who steal,people who murder.”

“And,what if someone does not go against the commandments but still goes against God?”

“I believe that’s impossible.”

“Can God truly make mistakes?”

Keating laughed.

“Asking the real questions now,are we?”

Neil smiled.

“Well,” he continued “I do not believe God makes mistakes.”

“But,if God wanted everyone to be in one way and then he made some people be a different way,that would be a mistake,right?”

“Who said than God wanted people to be one specific way?”

“Well,everyone.”

“I believe everyone is not God.”

“So,God made people different on purpose?”

“Neil,the men were the ones who wrote the Bible.Men talk and talk and yes,they wrote God’s words on the Bible,but they also wrote some of their own words too.Some of their owns words,being words of hatred.Words God never said.”

“God made people different on purpose.”

“Yes,after all,if we all were the same,the world would be so much boring.Now,may I ask,where is this coming from?”

“Just…curiosity.”

Keating laughed.

“Yes you are a very curious young man.”

“That I am.”
