Strong take but idc

The idea of Cait and vi falling out because of jinx is so funny in a not funny way because she's literally out here avenging someone who's responsible for the upholding of an oppressive system that killed her parents AND subjected her to seven years of abuse but can somehow get onto vi for still caring about her sister? Like ppl going "omg her moms probably dead" ok and? Vi and jinx parents are probably dead bc of her mom too lmao. Just goes back to the whole everyone is guilty theme. If she can still care about that pos who immediately dehumanizes her gf to the point of going all tyrannical then vi can still care about the one who murked her.

This is also for all those idiots who like to frame vi still loving her sister as a "betrayal" to caitlyn...

Another reason for Vi to pull out might be the phrase "Everything might have been different" as she doesn't know how to approach Jinx's "what if", because it not only implies that Vander wouldn't have "died". It also implies that Jinx, like seemingly happened in the other universe, she could have had both Vander and Silco.

Jinx being the sister that becomes the symbol is important because she is both Vander's and Silco's daughter, she is the legacy shaped by Vander's heart and Silco's ambition, even if she lacks both of them for several parts in the series. But only Vander is Vi's father, and Silco is just the main reason her life became miserable, even without being "responsible for making/forcing Jinx from Powder", so she can't step in.

Even in the other universe she doesn't get Silco as a father, or as a positive part of her life. That idea is so "other" to her that even in another Universe Vi doesn't get to experience that "what if", so she pulls away.

Damn, this scene right here where Vi reaches out to her to comfort Jinx just KILLS me every time.

It's a very small scene, but it carries so much weight because it shows how, despite all that's happened, Vi's love for her sister is still very much present, and the bitterness and resentment she felt toward her all those years ago are withering away.

I also love that when she retracts her hand, she doesn't do it forcefully or speedily, which would indicate hostility or resentment. She does it gently as if she's saying to herself, "Maybe I'll just give her some space for now."

As great as the big emotional scenes are (e.g., Vander reuniting with her daughters), you CANNOT undervalue the little moments that made them all the more impactful.

Hi, hello, not dead just buried in schoolwork now that I'm in my final year (college applications, moving to a new house, driving lessons, 2 or 5 exams every week and can't forget that I got sick)..... So yeah not dead, but certainly looking like it.

Anyway Arcane season 2, I think ep 6 finally gave me depression and the show in general made me cry more than I did at my grandmas funeral. So I decided to share some of my head cannons that I had before season 2.

Silco braids Jinx's hair in styles his mother taught him, while singing, telling lessons, stories, poems, folklore, plans, day events or just complaints(post season two comment: can't believe I got so close with the hair thing, the braids were probably taught to him by Felicia, Jinx mother, but still I think Silcos mother taught him how to do hair)

‌Zaunish or old Zaun is russian

Old Zaun was a secret code that everyone in the mines knew so they could talk in peace, without a threat of getting beat up by supervisors, it eventually spread to their families so that they can protect themselves from enforcers, eventually everyone knew

‌Noxian is german

‌Piltovian is british english (english is a universal language, but some places made it their own eg. american, australian, british(the cockney accent is how Zaunites speak it))

‌Viktors name in old Zaun is Vitya

‌ Victor scares everyone when actually angry or in a sleep deprived mania

‌ Victor was a slut during his academy years, because everyone wanted some of that exotic Undercity twinks ass, so him saying "wait this isn't my bedroom" wouldn't have surprised anyone and could have worked as an excuse if Jayce hadn't opened his mouth

‌ Sevika had a sister that died in the bridge rebellion

‌Sevika and Silco are like siblings (Silco is most definitely the little spoiled brat sibling that can fuck you over if he convinces mom, in this case he is the little spoiled brat that can stab you and also has an army at his disposal)

‌ Sevika dislikes Jinx/Powder and Violet, because they (before the explosion) reminded her of herself with her big sister, it makes her uncomfortable how Jinx turned out and Vi "died"

‌Ekko still has a crush on Jinx/Powder (post season two comment: btw I meant he had a crush on her when she was Powder that stayed until canon s1, not the alternative universe Powder) even tough she changed (The bridge scene makes me cry) (post season two comment: we won but at what cost)

‌Ekko has hallucinations when he's inventing/building of Jinx that he talks to and interacts with( they build together and bounce ideas of eachother) (post season two comment: fucking hell how did I manage to hurt myself more)

Well, I watched season 2 part 3 . . . It was something spoilers bellow

All and all, after watching all of season 2, I'm happy with it, but I do still feel it's rushed. 3 seasons would have been better for many reasons. And although I'm happy with the ending I want more.

Anyway caitvi sesbian lex!!!!! Very cool, really well done, I'm happy with it, and hey, we finally got full back tattoos shown. Vi is some kind of top, but I'm still sticking with the idea of both them Being switch tbh.

Jinx dying was expected based on the fact that everyone who adopted a child died. Vander, Silco, and now Jinx/Powder. People say that maybe she survived, saving herself in the vents of the building, but I don't think so. She is dead, and although I like her (don't get me wrong, I'm grieving a fictional character), I still think this was for the better of the story.

I don't really gotta say this, but that ending destroyed me. It was good for the time they got, but damn.

I think that after watching all of Arcane, I can proudly say it's my favorite TV show.

I knew we would eventually reach a point where masses of people would misinterpret Arcane, but I never imagined it would be this bad.

Yes, I absolutely agree that season 2 was rushed, especially Act 3, and it is undeniable that the series would have benefited from at least one more episode if not an entire act. However, the current discourse about the show is so superficial that it's impossible to have a conversation about anything deeper but a mere synopsis of the characters and story.

So many of you expected this series to hold your hand and dumb everything down so you can understand it. But when it wasn't the case, you all started rioting and calling the characters vague, the plot bad, and the ships underdeveloped.

The amount of people who value spoken text more than the actions of the characters is worrying. And more worrying than that is the amount of those who interpret the said actions so superficially. I can't believe it needs to be explained that it wasn't Vi's death that led to the "good" timeline, but the lack of hextech. The result would have been the same if either of them had died. It wasn't about Vi, but about the child that died because of dangerous technology and that therefore that technology must not be used. The mischaracterization of Vi in general is insane. Call me biased and unfair, but the moment I hear you don't like her I will assume you didn't understand the show.

Also, the whole discourse around Caitvi scene in episode 8 is giving brainsmooth. No, Vi didn't choose Cait over Jinx, quite the opposite. No, Cait didn't plan all of it to fuck Vi. No, Vi didn't do it because she felt forced or because she is a horny animal who doesn't care about her sister. No, them fucking in a cell is not about the class difference, but about the fact that Vi felt an insane rush of emotions after realizing that Cait would let go of her revenge and help Jinx escape, all for her. Yes, I do agree that it would be nice if we got a longer conversation between Vi and Caitlyn and it would feel great to hear Cait apologize, but I'll always value actions over words. Her talking to Jinx, recognizing that she is just as bad as her, and choosing to trust Vi that her sister can change, thus letting Jinx escape will always mean more than any verbal apology and I'll die on that hill.

Also, it was Jinx's decision to let go and walk away. It was not about Vi trying to get to Vander, but about Jinx being tired of everything. Even if that fight didn't happen, the result would be the same: Jinx would leave because she knows that Vi couldn't do that. She knew that the two of them couldn't have a normal life together and that Vi would never give up on her. Jinx didn't "die" because Vi pushed her or failed her, but because she loved her too much. Whether you believe that she is dead or that she escaped, it's her decision either way.

Again, I agree that too much happened too quickly, but stop confusing your stupidity and inability to read between the lines with the quality of the series.

Arcane is flawed but still brilliant.

If she isn't Stone due to trauma at the prison, I'd say she has bottom energy (or switch).

Probs less likely to want to continue the fighty facade behind closed doors because that shit is exhausting. She's already started showing her kind heart in the bedroom scene.

Caitlyn, however, does read top. She's open and clear. Not the fuck-you-fight-me type of protector, but the kind that makes sure her people are okay and brings you tea. Or an ice pack.

Either way, I'm thrilled for more queer representation in media.

Rant about how the Fandom treated Maddie and Cait:

Okay by the title it might seem like I’m in defense of what they did to the Undercity but I’m not. This is a weird gripe I have with how people reacted when they found out the two were sleeping together. Spoilers for Arcane season 1 & 2

So when I was watching season 2 of Arcane for the first time, around the time it came out because I was trying to hold off watching it to watch it with my sister but I failed, I think I had a very chill reaction to Cait sleeping with Maddie. I saw Maddie pop up and I was like, “oh, I didn’t see that coming” and continued to watch it without thinking that much into it. At this point Maddie hadn’t bertrayed Cait as this was still Act 2, not to Act 3 yet so I still liked Maddie.

Going online was very different. People started to hate her for sleeping with Caitlyn and I was confused. I don’t know, but I just have the reaction of like “okay?” Because it’s not a crime to sleep with someone. Then came the slut shaming comments towards Cait, that’s where I have the gripe. It’s very odd to me how people were mad at Caitlyn for sleeping with someone while she’s still single. She was not with Vi, it’s not cheating.

To me, I got this odd sense of purification culture, even if it was unintentional. The reaction people had to Cait sleeping with someone while she’s single compared to Jayce was odd. From what I saw, and I could be wrong, no one had a negative reaction to Jayce sleeping with Mel while single. And I’m not saying people should, because both should be able to without judgment.

It was weird to me, that people were more concerned that Cait was a “slut” than her leaving Vi crying on the ground after she hit her in the stomach with her gun. I’m bad at putting thoughts into words but I just got an icky feeling of people slutshaming the two. You’re allowed to sleep with other people! You’re allowed to date other people! That’s life, I know I haven’t stayed with one person in my life. Dating and sleeping with others is to see what you like, it’s okay to experiment.

Idk if people will understand what I’m saying but I had to get it out there. Screaming into the void
