How I think about the original design vs the more modern equivalent
Headcanon 1: Tim Drake writes fanfics that get really popular, many involving the Batfamily, some superbat
Headcanon 2: Duke Thomas used to write superbat fanfic but eventually lost the time and became a beta reader for some others
Headcanon 3: Tim wrote a superbat fanfic that Duke was a beta reader of, and they only learned later
Headcanon 3.5: Jason has read this fanfic and adores this fanfic for how well it is written and how entertaining and accurate it is
sometimes teal mask and indigo disk(and honestly sv in general) dont feel like actual things that happened like no way a super popular franchise has some fucking emo boy that we curb stomp and divorce, a tube of toothpaste who thinks he knows how to manipulate people, a girl that probably plays animal crossing way too much and constantly makes the incorrect buzzer noise, crispin, old men in love, yuri love triangle, rika, some parentless guy who jumps for joy after making some magic herb sandwhich, dragon dog thats going to terrify a subway employee, green eight year old that murders three losers by going bonk, dont forget to smash that like and subscribe button, a antibullying group that was a discord server that is now a feared gang, nemona, transgender pro cringe weeb lesbian, two lesbians which have the most difficult hair to draw, femboy emo ice man, attempted murder turtle, and larry
like excuse me how does this game exist????
The Reluctant Victor, inspired by The Reluctant Bride by Auguste Toulmouche - I just thought that this painting was SO perfect for Katniss and I had to draw it!
I totally understand where some of y'all are coming from when you say that The Lost Boys shouldn't have died or they should have gotten a better ending, but that's kind of the whole point.
Their deaths were pointless. It didn't do anything, it didn't help anyone, it was meaningless, and that's why it happened.
I've talked a lot about The Lost Boys (1987) and how it relates to queerness, but as a refresher: it was directed by a gay man and came out during the height of the AIDS epidemic when queer people were left to die because they defied societal norms.
AIDS was medically recognized in 1981, but because it was primarily affecting queer people (sometimes referred to as "the gay plague"), it was left completely unacknowledged by the Reagan Administration until it took the life of Reagan's friend, the famous American actor Rock Hudson, in 1985. It still wasn't until 1987 that the epidemic was addressed because, as Reagan stated, "maybe the Lord brought down this plague."
(I fully believe that The Lost Boys (1987) is a criticism of the Reagan Administration, both their response to the AIDS epidemic and the ideal of the perfect nuclear family, and I WILL write an essay if prompted, but that is completely beside the point.)
Leaving queer people to die didn't get rid of AIDS or solve any of the world's problems because we were never the source of the problems. It was pointless, and that's part of why The Lost Boys also had to die. Because it solved nothing. Because we died, and we put ourselves in our art to highlight the injustice of it.
While I'm very pleased that we want justice for imperfect victims (because let's face it, The Lost Boys were NOT good people), I think that we should still recognize that the same message wouldn't have been conveyed narratively had they lived: we died and it was pointless, so take out the old man in charge to start fixing shit.
Team Star my beloved
ok so im trying out a new artstyle and drew the batkids…what do we think guys👅👅
Can we let people forget things? Cause sometimes I have memory like dory and other times I can remember very well- like I remember that despite the fact you’re a beast at maths you actually like the science subjects! But I can never remember what you said you’re favourite colour was or i remember the time I used a Harry Potter dementor pick up line on you and you laughed but I can’t remember the day of your birth but I know you’re a sweet April baby.
you mean the world to me but if I don't remember things off the top of my head it's not that I don't love you, I just don't have a great memory sometimes
Alligator Bites Never Heal
interesting ace pokemon choice for ingo. verrry interesting...
i just think it's fairly interesting that ingo's presumed ace and first hisui pokemon is known for being such a menace in the pokedex. that and it's always smiling. maybe it reminded him of a certain someone...
The funniest thing about Romancing Mr Bridgerton is that Colin is right! He never does court Penelope Featherington!
What actually happens is she oversteps and then he acts an ass and then apologizes and she accidentally seduces him and he decides he’ll be her trophy husband then
He does not court her though
