I love that John tries to tell Arthur he has free will and can make his own choices and Arthur is just like nooo I’m gonna do exactly what the scary paper tells me to do
I haven't had much time to draw fanart lately but I started tma and I'm brainrotting so hard but I don't want to start any large pieces until I finish so!! I made some doodles
what she says: I’m fine
what she means: tybalt capulet is just as complex as the other teenagers in the play. there’s so much hidden history to unpack regarding him and his family, and all of it brings new depth to his character. for example, why does he live with his aunt and uncle as opposed to his immediate family? why is he constantly, fervently seeking to protect the capulet name like he’s trying to prove something to someone? and also, why is he treated the way he is by lord capulet? they only interact a few times, and when they do, it’s very charged and not at all familial. why is that? there are so many approaches you could take to tybalt’s character, but so many adaptions resort to making him a clear-cut villain, which ultimately undermines the message of the play by implying that there are “good” and “bad” sides to the feud, when in reality it was a pointless fight between two groups of adults that their children got mixed up in for no reason at all. tybalt is just as much of a mf victim as romeo and juliet, and adaptions need to start realizing this
How I imagine Jons scars :]
I hope my followers don't expect anything of me, I'm only here to be insane.

Social anxiety fucking sucks. I’m 23 and I’ve never been in a relationship before because I’m afraid of talking to people or even just going out alone. I’ve seriously considered suicide before because of that (usually at night tho. I probably shouldn’t be allowed to be awake past 9pm)
What she says: I'm fine
What she means: in act 1 Macbeth and his wife are physically apart, they obviously don't hear each other's soliloquies but they always know each other's thoughts, they are quite literal partners in crime (and in greatness), which makes it all the more jarring when in 3.2 they are on stage together, talking to each other, and even assuming each other's language to a point where there's an obvious sense of déjà-vu, and yet their understandings are exactly opposite, marking the beginning of the end and the breakdown of communication between them. In other words arguably what destroys them is the role-reversal that makes each of them too much like the other and leaves them vulnerable to new flaws and fears, which in turn leaves room for the guilt and paranoia to filter in, and just like that the most intimate marriage in all of Shakespeare's theatre is done for. They will never be intimate again. I could just about scream.
It looks gorgeous <3
Throwback to this portrait of Astrid that I painted in 2018 and recently edited 💛 I miss painting her.
