Ever since I saw the first post for your syndicate supernatural agency au it has been floating around in my brain, I’m generally curious on what dream is up to and what the dynamics are.

For you I actually went and completed these omg. I am so happy you are enthusiastic about this AU! Believe it or not, Dream actually just guards the artefacts, defying any ill intention towards them because while most of the mortal world is unaware of their uses/abilities, some do.

Also think of Cornelius and Dream like magical girl troupe except in this case, Cornelius has no idea about Dream and Dream likes to keep it that way. They switch places/share one body so they cannot simultaneously appear in one place together though sometimes they can appear in each other's reflection. Dream is not hostile but because he kept to himself most of the time, he can be easily misunderstood!

Ok, ok, I will have to gather my thoughts, soooo I am thinking, the syndicate = supernatural investigation agency and they are all supernatures. So it is just like those kind of investigation stories where you follow them through one case to the next.

You have em duo who lead the syndicate;

- Techno = immortal blood god

- Phil = deliverer of death / angel of death

- Niki = siren

- Ranboo = enderfolk

And so I have the thought that they caught wind of a museum that hold supernatural artefacts. Not the fake kind, but genuine, functioning artefacts and that is a curious case in itself right? Imagine like totem? Elytra? Maybe even a sculk? But they are just coexisting? In this museum? Heck, there may even be world connecting artefact, like nether portal, just chilling somewhere in this museum that mortal can just come and visit. And it is suspicious.

A coincidence though, when the syndicate receive a letter requesting the agency to send help, as bodyguard or to investigate a recent break in. Curiosity drives them (not because they are poor, definitely, nooo) to accept the request and they are able to meet the guide / scholar in charge for the museum; Cornelius and it is much later when they met the owner of the museum, who is actually a supernatural as well; Karl, the gummy time traveller who just happened to like collecting artefacts during his travel.

I am still thinking about how to plan the actual mystery but stay tune. *finger crossed*

But a point I want to keep is that Cornelius has no idea about the supernatural and is just an expert when it comes to maintaining / suppressing the artefacts, so Techno and co are just tiptoeing around him as they try to solve this very supernatural caused mystery. However, they will soon realise that Cornelius is harbouring his own secret, though he himself might not know about it!

Wait...Would You Fall in Love with Me Again but dnb. Like immortal (Techno) and the same soul in every reincarnation? (Dream) orrrr dsmp lore and Techno sees the differences in Dream before and after the prison arc ("I am not the man you fell in love with") because angst is cool :)

It's in the works - Idk how you knew but it's in the works. I've got two scenes fleshed out but yeah. Have some storyboards in the mean time. There's some lore I've been thinking about in regards to the AU (because I can't actually show all of this) but - I was thinking Season 2 DSMP. DreamXD has memory wiped everyone, including the people taken by Lady Death, but it's less of a total memory wipe, and more of a block. (Tis the condition to come back onto the sever). So people remember each other, and they're all familiar with the server, but context for everything has been removed. So scars and stuff stayed and people still have vague ideas of where they stand with one another, ie. c!Q is on friendly terms with everyone but no one seems to be able to fully trust him. Bring in c!Dream, who's memories stayed, because DreamXD can't let a man catch a break. He has the powers to unlock the memories of the people he encounters, he just has to remind them of who he is and what happened previously (still deciding if it's a phrase or an actual spell). So he has the choice of either allowing everyone to move on, and start their lives anew (with only him suffering with their past mistakes/choices/knowledge) or have them remember and have to deal with the fallout. So in this Techno and Dream are married, have been married a while, and while Techno and the rest of the Syndicate were able to escape before everything blew up, the memory wipe made it so that Techno knows he's married, knows who he's married to, but has no idea where Dream is, and anything that happened to them previously. Techno has this feeling that Dream is in trouble, but no idea how, and the server is no help because while not outright hostile to him, they seem ambivalent to him and Dream.

So to the "Would you fall in love with me again" - Dream finally returns and decides to give Techno his memories back, so that Techno can make the choice of where they stand and if he wants to stay together with Dream, a Dream who is different, changed, broken.

Day 4 : Thawing Out / Beginning

Dream as a mythological figure is so underutilized in fanfic actually. Like just describing "man who is being eternally hunted" already sounds like classic fucked myth.

You wanna do a fantasy Bamf Tommy fic and need a mentor? Bam! He trained with The Eternal Prey and his immortal hounds when he was a kid.

Techno injured injured you need a deus ex machina for a final battle? Throw in the immortal hunters!

Just want a cool little tidbit, prayer or curseword that implies a wider world? "May you be as clever as The Dreamer" "The winds are howling tonight's, the hunt must be passing by" "Lock the damn door, at this rate The Prey will think you're inviting him in to eat"

What is his point in the world? Maybe he tends to dying magic in a never-ending circle. Maybe he's responsible for the seasons, running back to kill whatever causes winter so spring can bloom again and he can be reborn. Maybe he's responsible for catching lost and stay souls. Maybe he got cursed to this. Maybe he's so old that the only people who know are him and his hunters and none of them know how to explain it outside of their archaic language. Maybe he's so young that other gods don't quite get his purpose, like he was born to fix/deal with something new in the world they don't quite understand.

The world is your oyster!!! Have fun!!!!!

An aspect of God of the wild that is so funny to me is how all the advantages of your God being just a guy are also disadvantages because he is a guy who knows you personally yall have beef

It removes some of the privacy(?) of those vulnerable moments, because yes God is listening to those prayers but like. God is listening to those prayers and he knows your address and will confront you on what the fuck you just said

I love anime boy techno as much as the next person but I’m not immune to gigantic piglin techno purely because it gives me the absolutely HILARIOUS mental image of Techno tossing Dream over one shoulder and Ranboo over the other and Walking Out Of Jail (Connor has to walk)

When they arrest Dream he didn't fight back and let the revolutionaries take him away.

In this AU Techno go to Pandora to visit Dream for extra infos (if I remember correctly), here both Techno and Dream start developing a friendship with Techno be sure to keep good company to the only prisoner and make sure he eat. In all of this after some chapter we find out that Dream is immortal and the reincarnation of the God of Chaos.
