YES. THIS. It doesn’t matter where the story lives - on a screen, in a book, in a video game - they all end up in our hearts. They end up becoming a part of our lives. No, more than that - they become part of our DNA. They become part of the air we breathe. They flow through our veins and inspire our dreams. And not because we give our entire lives over to them. I know this isn't healthy to let it out here but better something than nothing-

Some people thought being art student is easy but it is not, between juggling to general education subjects and doing major art subjects makes the time difficulty especially this online class.

Not only that you missed and craved the interaction between your peers especially while your doing artworks with them. Even if the art profs not teaching *ehem* just really giving projects to you. Or that after school fatigue yet became gone atleast for awhile because hanging out despite getting four hours of sleep is worth it.

Now on online class it's only not much interaction between classmates because we had many things to do not only in school but many personal things happening at home. It felt like just passing time doing plates (projects) and doing requirements of school yet felt like there was no reward for it.

Yet despite the negative feelings, we still strive to be if not best do better for ourselves.

I suggest searching content and then tags separately. Sort by latest posts rather than top posts so the search will yield more results. Tumblr searches are weird that way.

I want to share some advice given to me by my mother, who has been writing longer than I have been alive, and is one of the wisest people I've ever met.

I was emotional and upset and told her "I'm burnt out and tired, and I think I may stop writing entirely."

She sighed, not unkindly, and said:

"Darling you may not have a choice. That's the thing about writers is that when they have a story to tell, it will not leave them alone until it is finished. Writers write not always because they like it, but because they have a gift and a curse to tell stories. When you keep it inside of yourself, it will find a way to get out whether you like it or not. It's not up to you. Take a break, allow your stories to rest, and when they are ready they will try to break free again."

I see people fearful that they get to a point where they will never put words to paper again. But the truth is once you find a story to tell, your story, it won't stay inside of you until it's finished. Isn't that magical? Isn't that beautiful?

Take your time, darling. The rest will come when it is ready

I know it’s dumb, but I feel that as far as politics of the western world [is concerned], it’s all looking so bleak, so disappointing and global politics are going so horrifyingly backwards. Yet television is moving forward in terms of its themes, its culture, its representation of progress, its diversity, its risk-taking in story telling. Even if this is a delusional rationalization, I take comfort in how good programming is, compared to how horrible politics are.
