This the same kid that biked to Will's cuz he wasn't in class and biked to the woods cuz Will was missing. Every time he couldn't reach Will he physically went to him.

Now he's calling daily with no chance of getting through EXCEPT this time he can't just bike to Will. California and Indiana are far, in 2 different timezones even, and what used to be an easy fix isn't anymore. He has to wait to catch a flight and is probably wondering why Will never calls him. The Wheeler's number hasn't changed!

And then Will claims he's not interested in hearing what he has to say. Cue Mike's internal screaming cuz Will chose to be petty and make him the bad guy. But Mike let's it go cuz Will still wants to be best friends so he sucks it up and tells Will Hawkins isn't the same without him. Ugh these idiots.

Let's just get one thing straight:

THIS Mike Wheeler wouldn't care that Will was gay

THIS Mike Wheeler thought he was supposed to think Will being gay was weird but he wouldn't actually mind

THIS Mike Wheeler would be happy that Will trusted him enough to come out to him as gay

Mike Wheeler loves and supports Will no matter what. Even when he's having his own identity crisis.

All I'm saying is they better have had Mike deliberately hug everyone but Will, for the sole reason of setting up Will to go in for a hug again in s5, but this time Mike skips five steps and just kisses him on the mouth instead
