Rayla shrugged. “Tell you what, I’ll watch your practice and then I’ll try and help, I have some experience in armed combat.”
“You do?” Callum asked, looking at her curiously. “What from?”
Rayla froze, whizzing through possible excuses. “Uh, well, Runaan, he… showed me a few things, because he’s, like… there’s a militia. In the village, because we’re pretty remote and the Oligarchy doesn’t like to waste resources on protecting far flung villages like mine.”
“Makes sense. That’s pretty cool, actually,” Callum said, nodding. “You’re really interesting, Rayla.”
She smiled nervously, hoping she’d been able to cover her slip up. “Thanks.”

it's finally done, and it's probably the gooiest garbage i'll ever make.
credit to my new buddy @i-love-tdp-if-you-can-tell for doing almost all the characters' flat colors!! i am so so so infinitely thankful to them bc otherwise none of the other efforts of making this would have happened. between the lineart, backgrounds, shading, and touch-ups, these five pages have taken years off numerous braincells' lifespans, and without their help, may have annihilated my entire brain capacity.

Despite what tdp reddit might say, Rayllum is a very beautiful story of love.

Two friends who confronted and called out the injustice of their world, despite the loss of family and friends. Two friends whose trust in each other saved lives and hatched a dragon egg. Two friends who defended each other from their own and each others hateful cultures.
It's a story of two lovers who dared the world to try and stop their love and their vision for a better world. Two lovers whose love was so profound that they wanted to make such a love possible for everyone else. Two lovers who were able to compromise and make decisions together and respect each other under deeply emotional and stressful situations. Two lovers whose love connected so many people like string and brought them all together to defend the world from great evil.
Two lovers whose love stretched over two years of painful separation.
It's a story of two strangers whose love have haunted each other for two years. Two strangers who desperately want to find their way back to each other and heal their wounds, but don't know how to. Two strangers who had to learn who the other had become over the years, while still knowing they could still trust each other with their lives. Two strangers who need to save the world together.
It's a story of two friends who are learning to carry their scars without shame and without fear of asking for help carrying those scars. Two friends who would do anything for each other. Two friends who fondly remember what it was like to love each other but simultaneously know they aren't ready for that yet. Two friends who are enjoying their friendship again, and enjoying making each other laugh like old times. Two friends whose trust in each other saved their lives. Two friends who go on long and important journeys with each other.
And it's the story of two lovers. And how their love conquered their fear, regret, and trauma. Two lovers who stand by each others side and help each other through frustration and anger. Two lovers whose love is their calm in storms. Two lovers whose love no longer risks lose, but instead gains family and friends back. Two lovers who continue to stand tall against evil. Two lovers whose love is so strong that they are willing to sacrifice it. Two lovers who have grown and changed but still found their way back to each other. And will never have to be apart again.
It's their mistakes and faults that turned them into what they became. A beautiful story of love that defied all odds, a love that ended a war, a love that will grow old and cement itself into history pages. Tdp reddit, you will always be hated by me.

Hey, no homo, but I am sitting on the broken swing set out back in the perfect, quiet, 2:00am blackness and picturing the softness of your voice and the darkness of your eyes with such perfect and terrible clarity that it feels like I'm choking on my own heartbeat.
I JUST SAW WICKED IT WAS SO GOOD RAAAHH
The idea that we have the potential to watch these characters go through multiple stages of their life, some of them into their 30s others quite possibly in their 40s is just so heartwarming.
The possibility that we won’t abandon the main cast for new younger child heroes but instead we get to follow in their life! Through marriages, through education, through moves, through new ventures, through strife, through major life changes, and through life beyond when they were children! While they are still allowed to be the focus!!
Arc 3 has the potential to do something amazing by keeping us following the full lives of these characters and I really hope we get it.

Sooooo apparently people are asking if the main characters’ kids will be in arc 3.
In my opinion I don’t think they will and plus I don’t think that it would be the best idea either.
I just think that the plot would be useless especially because the next time we’ll see the main cast is in 7 years. It would completely go over the whole importance of aaravos’ come back. Maybe even farther into the future we’ll get to see their kids but I don’t think it’s very likely.
Plus, it’ll throw the main cast over to the side to basically be pointless. And I think that the writing won’t be so complex and intriguing so most of the time it’ll be boring.
I want to hear what you think buttt that’s kinda it for me (also sorry it was written very badly ToT)
