He only tucks in his children, NOT free loaders
idle animations like this annoyingly
So we all know it's fun to give him bug wings right
(I gotta mention that this post in particular inspired me here... they're so little. His ass is not flying anywhere unless he's thrown)
And I do see the logic here. He has the li'l antennae after all (and him being a lightning bug would be especially fitting). But I'd like to point out that as a Fleischer-esque mix-and-match creature, he does also have a pig nose... therefore I suggest:
Pig. Hoofs.
I rest my case.
Also a little bonus... the touch-starved Luxposting has gotten to me. Pet the creature
Her children are irreversibly physically altered against their will.
She gets possessed, with little to no control over her own body.
Meaning she's forced to do the opposite of her sworn duty - corrupting the cosmos and essentially killing her own children instead of protecting them.
Cursa forces her to absorb the energy of her children not just for the sake of using that energy for herself, but to break Rosalina's spirit so that she stops fighting back against her control.
Given everything we know about Rosalina, this is literally the worst thing that could happen to her.
And yet...
She still puts others before herself, despite that being the reason her and Cursa fused in the first place (remember, Cursa was going for the Lumas for their energy at first, not Rosalina herself).
One of the few times she briefly breaks free of Cursa's control, she creates a portal so her friends can get away whilst giving them a reassuring smile.
When they help her break free permanently towards the end of the game, she specifically makes sure to stay between them and Cursa whilst joining the battle.
The entire game she keeps her cool, remains brave and fights Cursa till the end...
Then again this is the same woman who's first instinct after watching her children sacrifice themselves by flying into a black hole was to info dump to Mario about stars đ
I guess it's hard to be emotionally scarred by anything when you've seen the universe recreate itself multiple times over.
I can't finish it all on my own...
UPDATED.. still need more tho

Bat-eating owls (the consequences the consequences!)

Thank you all for your feedback on the last poll! I did not expect so many people to vote for HunsrĂźck!
Now I can narrow down what posters could be good to include in a run like this. But there is still stuff to decide. While I could just post these naked I would prefer to give some context and information on the formation and animals depicted. So here a´few options I worked on.
Btw. if this goes well it might eventually end up as a book or I would at least try to turn it into one.

Here the result from the Pleistocene Flores #paleostream! This land, stuck between Sundaland and Australia revealed a fascinating fossil assemblage over the last few decades.
Dwarfed Stegodon, giant rats. huge marabou storks and komodo dragons are the most prominent members of the late Pleistocene fauna. Of these only the giant rats are still to be found on Flores.
Flores wasn't much of a household name in paleontology until 2004 - I remember it well - when a astonishing discovery was announced from the cave Liang Bua. Among the many animal remains were stone tools and surprisingly small hominin remains. After a lot of debate this would eventually be known as Homo floresiensis, a human species standing not much taller than 1 m. Little is known about this species. Especially it's cultural expressions and technological advances are the topic of many discussions and speculation.
One aspect that is rarely brought up in discussions around Flores are the birds, yes storks and vultures are popular but there is a huge number of living and fossil species found in these sites. As you can see in this size chart by Discord member JW there are still many interesting compositions to put together here. One thing that was important to me with this image was: 1. not to make it a dense jungle piece, and 2. not that make it a Stegodon hunting scene; that has been done too many times. The cave deposits at Liang Bua suggest that...
H. floresiensis inhabited this site especially during dryer intervals that would probably correlate with more open environments like the Lesser Sundas deciduous forests and savannas.
A priest hooks a huge fish
Helping him reel it in, a sailor says âWhoa, look at the size of that fucker!â.
âHey, mind your language!â says the priest.
Embarrassed, the sailor thinks quickly and blurts out, âSorry father, but thatâs what this fish is called, itâs a Fucker fishâ.
Accepting the explanation, the priest forgives the sailor and takes the fish back to church.
âLook at this huge fuckerâ says the priest, spotting the bishop.
âLanguage, please! this is Godâs house,â replies the bishop.
âNo, no thatâs what this fish is called, âsays the priest.
âOh,â says the bishop, scratching his chin âI could clean that fucker and we could have it for dinnerâ.
So the bishop takes the fish, cleans it, and brings it to the mother superior.
âCould you cook this fucker for dinner tonight?â he asks her.
âMy, what language!â she exclaims, clearly shocked.
âNo, sister thatâs what the fish is called - a fuckerâ, says the bishop.
Satisfied with the explanation, the mother superior says, âWonderful, Iâll cook that fucker tonight, The Pope is coming for dinner!â
The fish tastes just great and The Pope asks where they got it.
âWell, I caught the fucker!â says the priest.
âAnd I cleaned the fucker!â says the bishop.
âAnd I cooked the fucker!â says the mother superior.
The Pope stares at them for a minute with a steely glaze, leans back on his chair, takes off his cap, puts his feet up on the table, pours himself a whiskey and says:â You know what?, You cunts are alright.â

Whooping cough cases have surged in the US since the beginning of the year, infecting Americans at a faster pace than any time since the mid-1950s as national vaccination rates decline and protection wanes. The bacterial infection also known as pertussis has sickened 8,077 people in the US through April 16, according to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Thatâs more than double the same period a year ago, when the agency confirmed 3,847 cases, and rivals the 2012 outbreak that was the biggest in half a century. At least four people have died from whooping cough this year, including two infants in Louisiana, an adult in Idaho and a child in South Dakota who was infected with both influenza and pertussis. on abyss, and agreeing
transcript below
Zam: I wasn't expecting to, um, [...] find you so agreeable.
Bacon: Maybe we're just on the same side.
Zam: Maybe we are on the same side...
Bacon: 'Cause it doesn't feel like Derapchu found me very agreeable.
Zam: ... Yeah, I don't know. [...] I think the key difference is that: if Derapchu was around during Season 5, he definitely would've thought we were evil for doing the Abyss, right? [...] But like, I don't- I don't think we were. I don't think we did anything wrong.
Bacon: I don't either.
Zam: Yeah. I still stand by that.
Bacon: But, I don't know. I don't really care. I'm happy if people think I'm evil, I don't care. [Zam: Mhm.] Like how I was happy people thought I was evil during the Abyss.
Zam: Yeeeah. 'Cause, I don't think-
Bacon: But, I'm happy if people think I'm evil with the wardens.
Zam: Yeah. [...] 'Cause, yeah, I don't think it's about good or bad, it's about, like [...] standing up for what you believe in, and if, hey, y'know, what you believe in is "spawning a bunch of wardens", then that's chill. Umm.
[cut]
Bacon: I dunno, I don't really care if Derap agrees with me or not. I'd be happy if- Honestly, it'd be weird if everyone agreed with me.
Zam: ... Yeah that would be weird wouldn't it. I dunno, is it weird that I agree with you, or no?
Bacon: I dunno. Maybe a little. But, not weird for me. It's more weird for you.
Zam hums: I guess. Yeah.
An informational comic I drew last year for my Comics 2 class, reposting it to my new account (had to jump ship from the old one unfortunately) with some minor grammar changes and learned my lesson in adding watermarks! Happy early pride :)
Overview of some topics when it comes to drawing characters who are burn survivors.
DISCLAIMER. Please keep in mind that this is an introductory overview for drawing some burn scars and has a lot of generalizations in it, so not every âX is Zâ statement will be true for Actual People. I'm calling this introductory because I hope to get people to actually do their own research before drawing disabled & visibly different characters rather than just making stuff up. Think of it as a starting point and take it with a grain of salt (especially if you have a very different art style from mine).
Talking about research and learning... don't make your burn survivor characters evil. Burn survivors are normal people and don't deserve to be constantly portrayed in such a way.
Consider supporting me on ko-fi if you find this to be helpful.
edit: apparently tum "queerest place on the internet" blr hates disabled people so much that this post got automatically filtered. cool!
second way more important edit: How are people seeing this post where I specifically talk about burn survivors being normal, real people, and still tag this as "TW body horror"? Not a single one of these drawings or pictures is a fresh injury. All of them are healed. How the hell would you feel if someone tagged a photo of you as "trigger warning: gore"?
Disabled people are not your fucking body horror. Grow up.
Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.
I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.
Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.
