I think it’s so interesting that Sayid still prays while on the island especially after everything that happens to him while there. Does he do it just because he always has, or does he really think god is listening? Does he think keeping his grip on his faith tight will keep more people from dying? Does he do it because there is nothing else he feels like he has control over? What is he thinking about while he prays? Does he think about Shannon? Is he praying for mercy or for their survival? Is there a difference?
