I had the weirdest Doctor Who related dream a couple of nights ago.

Dhawan!Master was a TikTok star who loved doing TikTok dances.

Simm!Master was ranting(whining) to Russell T Davies that he portrayed him poorly because The Master would never be sexist or homophobic or transphobic because he comes from a species that can change their gender. Russell T Davies snuck away as soon as Simm!Master was distracted.

Yaz and Dhawan!Master said that we should crash the window of the aircraft we were in because that aircraft was made by Scrooge McDuck and we could sell the glass to the people of Duckburg, but then we ate said glass.

When we made it to the cemetery because we apparently had to stop the villains at a cemetery that was never mentioned before. We found Russell T Davies working with an evil Tennant!Doctor or Tennant!Master trying to resurrect the body of Rassilon. They were all huddled in a creepy mausoleum. And the evil Tennant!Doctor or Tennant!Master was wearing a very cool and campy black floor-length trench coat with white pinstripes. The collar of the coat was very tall and the coat had massive shoulder pads. And he was wearing a tight purple buttoned up shirt.

When Simm!Master saw Russell T Davies again in the mausoleum, he just continued his rant about his poor portrayal in the show.

And then I woke up.

I am now worried for my mental health.

At least Dhawan!Master in my dream constantly stood by my side, held my hand, caressed my body to comfort me, and gave me many forehead kisses.

Had a very fun time during the Ghost live stream earlier today!

Thankfully it didn’t crash like the Spotify Live event!

If anyone wants to watch the stream, it’s still on YouTube.

I highly recommend it if you like either Ghost or Mastodon.

I am writing some notes on an upcoming fic requested by a lovely anon (thank you so much by the way because I love this idea). The fic is similar to The Snowmen/The Bells of Saint John, Eleventh Doctor/Clara storyline, but with Dhawan!Master and The Reader.

But I don’t know where to have the reader in the past be located.

I had an idea about something revolving around Guy Fawkes. Like The Master goes there for a fun relaxing trip to just burn down Parliament, but then he meets the past Reader and falls in love. The Master becomes incredibly protective over The Reader and saves them from being beheaded.

Or something revolving around Shakespeare. I was thinking about the show Will again because I miss it. So, the past Reader was the child of the owner of The Globe theatre. They help out with everything: setting up the stage, working with actors, creating the props, dealing with the bills, and sometimes even acting. The Master goes to The Globe in an attempt to destroy it because he found out that The Doctor likes Shakespeare, but then The Master sees the Reader and abandons his plans in order to spend more time with the Reader.

If anyone has any different ideas about cool things in history that the past Reader could be a part of, I would love to hear your thoughts.

The two ideas that I had have corresponding future lives. Obviously, the present Reader is different from the past Reader, but I want The Master to meet the present Reader when he was reminiscing about the past. So, they meet in a situation that references the past.

I know that I could do something closer to The Snowmen, but I don’t really want the Reader to be a copy of Clara.

Also, the anon who requested this mentioned The Phantom of The Opera, but I don’t know much about French history, other than the obvious French Revolution. But if anyone, especially the anon, wants me to do something referencing The Phantom of The Opera in this fic, please reach out or comment!

I’m really excited about this fic, or fic miniseries, but I am getting so excited that I am getting too many ideas and I can’t think properly. So, any help will be very appreciated! Thank you for listening to my ramble!

A Day With You

(Part 1 | Part 2)

Pairing: Dh!Master x Autistic!Reader

Word Count: 2800

Summary: The Master and the reader spend a day together, and some feelings finally come to light.

Warnings: Mild self-deprecating language

A/N: Sorry this took so long but my teachers decided to give me lots of tests this past week. Also, requests are open 😄

A Day With You

Ever since you had told The Master you’re autistic, travelling with him had definitely become easier. Of course, it wasn’t completely smooth sailing, but he had started to accommodate for your sensory issues and you appreciated it. Also, you were pretty sure that he had done some research on autism as he had started to ask about and help with things that you had never mentioned to him.

For example, he was currently cooking you breakfast, after finding you stuck in your bed already exhausted from getting dressed that morning. He had asked if you were alright, and immediately understood what was happening when you had grumbled about executive dysfunction. The Master had gently helped you along to the kitchen, and sat you down at the breakfast bar before starting to cook your favourite breakfast meal for you.

Sitting and watching him cooking caused a warm feeling in your chest. When the two of you spent time together like this, you could almost pretend that he loved you too.

You were pulled out of your thoughts when a plate was placed down in front of you, quickly followed by a cup of tea. Smiling up at him, you murmured a tired ‘thank you’ before digging in. Surprisingly, he sat down next to you with his own plate and started eating as well. The two of you only tended to share meals together when you were out exploring alien planets, and you had rarely seen him eat when on the TARDIS.

Not wanting to scare him off, you continued to eat your breakfast in silence, trying not to over think the situation. He had finished his meal before you, so as soon as you had finished your tea he was already placing your cup, cutlery and plate into the dishwasher.

“You feel like leaving the TARDIS today, or would you prefer to stay in and rest?” The Master asked you, leaning on the worktop in front of you to get your attention.

“I could do a short trip out, get some fresh air. Nothing too adventurous though.” You gave him a slightly awkward smile and hoped that the blush on your face, that had been caused by his intensive care of you, wasn’t too noticeable.

“Good, I was thinking we could go to this little planet in the Pegasus Galaxy called Mipra.” He started to walk out of the kitchen and you quickly got up to follow him.

“The people there aren’t anywhere near advancing to space travel yet, but one of their cities has a brilliant marketplace that I thought you would enjoy. It’s quite similar to Earth in a lot of ways, but they sell things you won’t be able to find anywhere else this side of the universe.” Listening to him monologue instantly made you smile, and you were very glad that he was looking at where he was going rather than you. “Also, I’ve already checked and it shouldn’t be bad for your senses - but I already have an exact time to go so that the market won’t be busy.”

Oh yeah, he’d also been doing that recently. Every place you went to he made sure to check that the planet’s atmosphere wouldn’t be too much for you like it had been on Zacrypso. Honestly it had only made you fall more in love with him, as he had been the first person to ever care about you enough to do that. You tried not to read too far into it though, as he was probably doing it because he felt guilty.

Soon enough the two of you had landed on the planet, and he was holding open the door for you. The city that you had landed in reminded you of pictures that you had seen of Old Town in Stockholm. Every building was its own unique colour, but they were saturated enough that it wasn’t too bright for you.

Every street that you could see was lined with various shops and market stalls selling a range of objects - most of which you hadn’t ever seen before. There was a grin on your face as you looked back to The Master, who was giving you a small smile.

Turning back to face the beautiful marketplace, you strided towards the closest cluster of stalls, eager to investigate whatever they were selling.

————

The Master hadn’t been able to keep the smile off of his face as he followed you around the marketplace. He was very content to simply watch as you investigated the various trinkets each stall was offering, occasionally choosing something to buy. He also made sure to stand behind you and look menacing whenever someone looked like they were going to try and scam you, very pleased at the fear on their faces when they saw him.

Watching you, he realised how fascinated you could be by the simplest of things, and how you had a tendency to gravitate towards the items that looked like they were half-broken out of pity. The Master thought it was adorable.

As the two of you wandered down another alleyway, he noticed that you took a wide girth to avoid a stall. Upon further inspection, he noticed that the stall was selling various types of fish, and he made a mental note of your aversion to the smell.

Ever since you had told him about being autistic, The Master had tried to discover anything that you didn’t like so that he could protect you from them in the future. It had been a couple of months since he had taken you to Zacrypso, but he still felt guilty despite your insistence otherwise. He also hadn’t made another attempt to woo you since then, and instead he had tried to squash his feelings for you down so far that he would forget they even exist.

Unfortunately, you seemed to thwart his efforts simply by being yourself. Everything you did made his hearts race faster, and he was glad for this regeneration’s darker complexion, as otherwise you would have definitely caught onto his feelings by now. For example, you were currently telling him all about a little blue plant that you had bought from a vendor while he had been buying drinks. Half the information you were telling him was completely incorrect but he wasn’t going to bother correcting you because of how enthusiastic you were. He loved the way you held the little plant as though it was the most precious item you had ever owned.

“I’ve decided I’m going to name her Cerulean, cause of her colour.” You told him with a definitive nod, and he was lucky that your words had baffled him enough that he didn’t melt at your expression.

“Her?”

“Yep, I know most plants don’t tend to have a gender, but this one feels like a ‘her’ to me.” You told him with a shrug.

“Why name it then? ” He couldn’t help but be curious, unsure as to whether this was just a you thing or a human thing.

“Well it’s a plant, they’re living things, they deserve names.” You tilted you head as you addressed him, as though it was impossible for you to imagine not naming the plant.

“You’re adorable.” The words slipped out of his mouth before he really had time to think, but he didn’t let his panic show, focusing on your reaction instead.

His hearts warmed slightly when you went from shocked at what he had said to flustered within seconds. You were now avoiding his gaze by staring at the floor, but he could see the smile on your blushing face. He was just about able to hear the mumbled ‘thanks’ before he decided it was best to lead you on down the alley.

————

You had enjoyed your morning out on Mipra, the planet had been close enough to Earth that you didn’t feel disoriented, yet you were still able to experience alien culture with the marketplace. One downside was that the majority of food they had on offer was seafood - or at least it looked that way - and none of it had particularly appealed to you, so The Master had suggested you head back to the TARDIS for lunch.

As soon as you passed through the doors you started to notice just how tired you were, and you knew that you probably wouldn’t be able to gather enough energy to go back out to the planet after lunch. Luckily, you knew that The Master wouldn’t mind, so you happily followed him into the kitchen for the second time that day, taking the same seat that you had that morning and placing down the various knick-knacks you had bought onto the counter.

You didn’t even know what half of what you bought was, but you knew that none of it was dangerous since The Master had stepped in whenever he saw you eying up anything that could have harmed you. As you inspected all of your items, paying close attention to Cerulean, your mind wandered back to earlier. More specifically, you were replaying the moment that The Master had called you adorable for what was probably the 100th time by now, and you felt your face heating up yet again.

You must have zoned out because the next thing you knew The Master was asking you what sauce you wanted on the pasta you hadn’t notice him cooking. Brining yourself back to reality you managed to answer before he got too suspicious.

Luckily for you, The Master didn’t try to initiate conversation while you were eating, giving you time to push the moment from earlier out of your mind and focus back on reality completely.

“Do you feel up to going back to the market?” He asked once you had both finished your meals.

“I don’t think I have enough energy for that, but we could do something in the TARDIS if you wanted?” You suggested, hoping that he wouldn’t chose TARDIS repairs over spending time with you.

“Sure, what do you have in mind?” He addressed you with an unreadable look, which made you slightly nervous.

“Uh, I mean do you have any board games or video games? We could play some of them?”

“That sounds good, I think I have some board games in the library.” He told you, getting up from his seat to head in that direction, causing you to do the same.

You weren’t quite sure why he was spending all this time with you, but you had noticed him doing it more often recently. When you had started travelling with him he would often close himself away from you by working on his TARDIS, or planning out ways to overthrow planets. Nowadays, he seemed to chose spending time with you over doing those activities more often than not. You couldn’t deny that you appreciated it, as you loved to spend the time with him.

Contrary to what most would believe, he was actually pretty laid back the majority of the time, and he tended to go along with whatever you wanted to do. Though he would always leave you alone to rest if you needed it.

Since Zacrypso the two of you had gotten a lot closer, and your feelings from him had grown as well. At times like these, when he seemed so dedicated to you, you couldn’t help but wonder if maybe he felt the same way. Those feelings had been easily bushed aside when you realised that The Master probably had some ulterior motive for anything the two of you did together, but you were finding it much more difficult for you to justify his actions without coming to the conclusion that he cared for you.

Like how the last time he had gone on a solo mission - normally the ones that he deemed too dangerous for a human to go on - and he had come back with a new stim toy for you. He also always made sure that you bought your ear defenders along with you whenever he was planning to cause some explosions.

You had been so lost in thought that you didn’t notice you were in the library until The Master caught your attention, showing off a range of board games and asking you to pick. Half of the games he owned you hadn’t even heard of, so you decided the best option was to choose the Game of Life and let The Master choose the other.

The two of you ended up playing games for hours, and at some point it had evolved into casual conversation, sitting next to each other on the floor of the library with the remnants of your games strewn out over the coffee table. As he laughed at something you had said, you felt yourself enticed by his image, unable to tear your eyes away from his face. He was beautiful and ethereal, and somehow he was convinced that out of everyone in the universe, you were the one worth spending his time with.

“Thank you, for today, it was lovely.” You told him, still staring at him.

“There’s no need to thank me, I’d do this for you anytime, dear.” He replied, turning to face you with a soft smile.

“Why?”

“Why?”

“I’m just a human, why would you do anything for me?” You felt small when you asked the question, baring all of your weaknesses for The Master to see.

“But you’re not just a human, you’re so much more than the rest of them, at least to me. You’re no where near as annoying as the rest of your species, not to mention that you’re clever enough to keep up with over half of what I say. You’re also pretty funny, I like your jokes and sarcasm, even if any sarcasm in return can fly over your head.” As he was speaking, he seemed to be studying your face, as though he too couldn’t tear his eyes away. “I find you so endearing, and I actually like spending time with you, which is more than I can say for the rest of the universe. Also, you’re absolutely beautiful, not just in looks but in your outlook on the world as well.”

At his words you could feel your face heating up, especially when his last sentence finally made sense in your mind.

“You think I’m beautiful?”

“Of course, I always have.” The look he gave you was so genuine that you knew he couldn’t be lying. “Can I tell you something y/n?”

“Yes, Master.”

“I think I’m in love with you, actually I know I am. I’ve known for quite a while now but I’ve been too worried about how you would react.” He had turned away from you know, focusing on the carpet’s intricate designs. “But spending this day with you, I realised that I can’t hide these feelings any longer. If you want me to just drop you off at home I’ll understand.”

His voice had gotten quieter and more unsure as he went on, and he had begun to shrink in on himself.

Without thinking you reached your hand out to hold his, intertwining your fingers. He gave a small gasp and looked up, his deep brown eyes meeting yours in an intense gaze. If he was any other person you wouldn’t be able to hold this eye contact, if he was any other person you wouldn’t have been able to even hold his hand. He wasn’t any other person though, he was The Master, and you loved him.

“I love you too.” You told him with a shaky breath and a wide grin, scared about the vulnerability but oh so happy that you had finally said those words out loud.

His mouth fell open in shock, before turning into a grin that matched yours, and you found yourself struggling to not melt into a puddle right then. Slowly, giving you time to get away, he reached out his free hand to cup your face. Then, somehow even slower, he started to pull your face towards his. You closed your eyes, hoping to sway some of your nerves by not looking at him, though it didn’t help much.

When your lips finally touched, it felt so soft, and intimate. Though somehow it also managed to feel completely electrifying at the same time. You allowed yourself to fall fully into his embrace, as he moved his hand to grip around your waist and pull you in further.

Eventually, you had to break for air, and once you did you leant your forehead on his shoulder. Your face was flushed and your breath was still struggling to come, but you were smiling and he was holding you. Looking up to him, you felt an overwhelming sense of safety and love, and you knew that no matter what the future held for the two of you, everything would be alright if he was by your side.

Crystals and Confessions

(Part 1 | Part 2)

Pairing: Dh!Master x Autistic!Reader

Word Count: 3000

Summary: The Master has recently had an epiphany, and feels the need to impress the reader. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go quite to plan.

Hurt/comfort with autistic!reader.

Warnings: Sensory overload/shutdown, self-deprecating language

A/N: There is now a second part, linked above 😊

Crystals And Confessions

Unknown to you, The Master had recently had an epiphany of sorts - or rather, he had finally realised that his feelings for you had developed further than friendship. He had spent a few weeks trying to deny the fact, or get rid of the new feelings, but just as he thought he was successful you would do something cute like jumping up and down when you were happy and he would just fall in love with you again.

So now, he was coming up with a plan to win your affections, narrowing down his list of planets that would hopefully impress you enough that you might fall in love with him too.

After a few hours of some very detailed research he found the perfect planet, Zacrypso. It had pale pink skies and waters to match, and the grass was a vibrant blue-green. Though the main reason he wanted to take you there was for the sounds the crystal leaves make when they moved in the wind, it was supposed to be beautifully melodic (at least according to the brochure). Of course, he was going to take you to a time before anyone had found the planet, so you wouldn’t be interrupted by any blithering aliens.

Though you normally liked knowing exactly when and where the two of you were going, The Master had been able to convince you to take a surprise trip. There was a minor hiccup when he entered the co-ordinates and his TARDIS deleted everything he had typed in, causing him to start over again after a quick kick to the TARDIS console (which seemed to stop her from intervening any further).

Finally, the two of you arrived on the planet. The Master grinned at you, earning a slightly nervous smile on response. He wasn’t worried though, that would turn into a proper smile once you saw Zacrypso.

————

Truthfully, you were worried about a surprise trip. You always liked to know where you were going in advance so that you could prepare for any potential sensory issues or outright object if it was going to be too much of an issue. What didn’t help was the fact that you hadn’t actually told The Master about being autistic yet.

At first it had been because he already saw humans as weak and you didn’t want to give him anymore reasons to think that. Now though, it was more because the longer you put it off the more awkward it got, so you just tried to ignore that issue as best you could.

Still, you had been hesitant to accept his offer of a surprise trip, but when he looked at you with such an excited expression there was no way you could break his heart by rejecting his offer.

So now you were stood by his side in front of the TARDIS doors trying desperately to calm your nerves. When he opened the doors all of your nerves were momentarily put aside and replaced with wonder for the planet in front of you.

It was unlike anything you had ever seen, the colours were beautiful and you had to stop just to admire the place for a moment.

You were so focused on admiring the place that you didn’t notice the way The Master was looking at you as you slowly stepped out of the TARDIS (which had disguised itself as a purple-grey log).

“You like it?” He asked, and when you looked to him there was only a small and slightly smug smile on his face.

“Yes, it’s beautiful! Thank you Master.” You averted your gaze at the last bit in hopes to stop you from becoming overly flustered.

Unfortunately you could feel your heart beating away very quickly and you really hoped that his Time Lord hearing couldn’t pick up on the sound. The last thing you wanted was for him to kick you off the TARDIS because you had caught feelings for him and he didn’t reciprocate. Though in moments like these you couldn’t help but feel hopeful that maybe he had fallen for you too.

Pushing those thoughts aside, you followed him as he lead you further into the planet, towards a forest that you could just about make out in the distance. As you walked he would occasionally tell you facts about the planet, like why the sky was pink or why the grass was turquoise, but mostly you walked together in comfortable silence.

Once you started to get closer to the forest you heard a ringing in your ears, and while at first you thought it was just your head going funny, you soon realised that the noise was coming from the forest.

It was a strange sound, almost like wind chimes, it was beautiful and unlike anything you had ever heard before. Though, when you started to get closer to the forest the sound became a tad overwhelming. Still, you tried to ignore the growing tension in your body and continued in the direction of the noise.

Briefly, you looked towards The Master and saw a very satisfied smile on his face, showing he was clearly content, which urged you to carry on. Unfortunately, as you got closer and closer to the noise, you felt the tension in your body starting to grow as you became overwhelmed.

“What’s making that nose?” You asked The Master in hopes of distracting yourself.

“It’s the crystal leaves on the trees. As the wind moves around it creates different tunes. Basically like natural wind chimes.” His smile had grown while speaking to you and you felt your heart beating faster again, though now you weren’t sure whether it was because of him or the growing sense of discomfort.

The Master continued on and though you knew you were following him you were struggling to stay focused on anything other than the very loud and overwhelming noises.

No matter how much you wanted to stay for The Master, you knew that you wouldn’t be able to cope with it for much longer, and secretly started hoping that he would just get bored and decide to go back to the TARDIS.

————

The Master was overjoyed, because his plan was working. Seeing the look on your face when you saw the planet was almost enough to make him kiss you right there, though he managed to restrain himself. He loved watching you as the two of you walked towards the forest, so delighted by the planet he had taken you to and absolutely fascinated by any facts he had told you.

The two of you had finally made it to the forest and he was actually impressed that the leaves sounded exactly like the brochure had described. The Master had turned to look at you and he took in your wide eyes and small smile and, well, he had definitely hoped for a better reaction, but you were probably just in shock.

Then you had asked him about the noise and his smile grew after he described it to you and your face seemed slightly more in awe of the place he had taken you to. He continued on further, just taking in the surroundings. If he was being honest, it was quite nice to take a break from your usual adventures, which often involved some sort of crime. Like how on your last adventure the two of you had charmed your way into a royal court, just for the two of you to steal the planet’s most treasured jewels. He always loved the thrill that bought him - not to mention the money that was acquired after selling the goods off to the highest bidder - but he knew that he would probably enjoy any situation as long as you were content by his side.

He turned back to try and catch a glimpse of your awe-filled expression, only to see your eyes flickering all around the forest, and a clear tension in the way you were holding yourself. The Master had expected you to be excited and amazed, not panicked like you currently were. On that note, why were you panicked? He had checked the planet when the two of you had landed, there were no hostile life forms. In fact, the only life forms were the plants and small critters.

Upon realising that he had no clue what had caused your panicked state, he walked over to you.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” He asked in his gentlest voice, trying not to scare you any further.

“It’s fine, I’m fine.” Your response was strained and he tried not to feel hurt that you were trying to hide your discomfort from him.

“No you’re not, what’s wrong (y/n)?”

There was a pause before you finally spoke, “it’s too much”.

“What’s too much?”

“The noise, it’s too much, it hurts.”

He could tell that you weren’t kidding from the way you were holding yourself and the tears that pricked at the edges of your eyes. However, he was still confused, his hearing was much more sensitive than yours, but the noise wasn’t hurting him. Still, he could worry about that later, right now he needed to get you out of the forest.

“Okay, uh, does putting your hands over your ears help?” You nodded, “okay, do that. Just follow me, yeah? I’ll get you away from the noise.” You nodded again and he started slowly guiding you out of the forest.

Every few steps he would look back to make sure you were still following him, until the two of you eventually made it out of the forest. The Master checked you over once before continuing to lead you to the TARDIS.

Honestly, he was scared, scared that you would blame him for whatever happened; scared that you would want to stop travelling; scared that you would never love him now. Though he was mostly scared that you wouldn’t be okay, and really that was all he wanted for you.

After what seemed like eternity but was really only a half-an-hour walk later, the two of you had made it back to the TARDIS. Pausing and resting his hand on the door, The Master looked over at you; your hands were still firmly over your ears despite the fact that you wouldn’t be able to hear the forest anymore, and your stare was burning a hole into the ground.

When he entered the TARDIS he saw a sofa in the console room that hadn’t been their previously, it had several pillows and a very soft looking yellow blanket on-top of it, as well as the headphones that he had seen you wearing around the TARDIS. You were stood rather awkwardly just inside the doorway, so he gently guided you to sit down on the sofa.

Automatically, you pulled the blanket up around yourself, giving The Master the opportunity to place your headphones on your head. Taking a step back he gazed as your slightly more relaxed form, you hadn’t said a word since the two of you had gotten out of the forest, and he was very worried that you wouldn’t want to speak to him again after this disaster of an idea.

Trying to distract himself from those thoughts, he made his way over to the console and started piloting away from Zacrypso. By the time the TARDIS had landed back in the time vortex, you had fallen asleep, and his heart twinged still hoe adorable you looked snuggled up on the sofa.

Walking as quietly as possible, he left the room and headed towards the kitchen, planning on getting you a drink and something to eat for when you would wake up. Even if you did want to leave after this, he was still going to take care of you.

————

When you woke up a few hours later you were confused and slightly groggy, especially since you were sat on a sofa in the TARDIS console room that had definitely never been there before. Beside you there was a small table with a glass of water and a sandwich placed on it. As you started to look around the room more you noticed that The Master was hunched underneath the console, and from what you could hear he was working on fixing or updating something.

Not wanting to disturb him, you grabbed the glass of water and tried not to think about your sensory overload that had happened earlier. You had known that a surprise trip wasn’t going to be a good idea, but now you were probably going to be kicked off the TARDIS for getting too upset over what was supposed to be a beautiful noise.

When you put the glass down it made more noise than you had anticipated, and The Master looked round to face you, finally noticing that you were awake. He placed down his tools before walking over to you and kneeling in front of where you were sat on the sofa.

“Are you feeling better? Is there anything you need?”

Okay, so that wasn’t exactly what you had been expecting. To be honest, you had been prepared for yelling and insults and tears, so his current behaviour had caught you off guard.

“Uhh, no I’m uh, I’m okay. Thanks.” You gave an awkward little laugh at the end of the sentence.

“Are you sure? I can get you anything you need.” He looked so hopeful that you would ask him to help you out, but at the moment you didn’t really need anything.

“I’m sure, I’m good now.” The smile that you gave him was small but genuine, and you hoped it would bring some comfort to him.

“Oh, okay.” Nodding to himself he stood up, and you expected him to get back to his work, but to your surprise he just sat down on the sofa next to you.

The two of you sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes before you finally gathered the courage to ask him some questions.

“Why are you being so nice to me?”

He looked up at you, seemingly shocked, “What do you mean?”

“It’s just, you hate humans. You think we’re weak and stupid and pathetic - I just thought that you would have taken this opportunity to finally kick me off the TARDIS…” As you spoke you got quieter and quieter, shrinking under his rather intense gaze.

“Yes, humans, but not you - you’re the exception. I could never see you as weak or stupid or pathetic. If anything I thought you’d want to leave because of me.”

“Because of you? Why?”

“Well, I took you to that planet. It’s my fault you got hurt. I should have done more research, to make sure it was 100% human safe. Rassilon, I still haven’t figured out why you were hurting in the first place.” He stood up at the last part and started pacing.

The Master seemed genuinely worried about you, and that was something you had never expected to see.

“It’s uh, it was my fault. I’ve been keeping something from you and if you had known this could have been easily avoided.” He turned to you with a puzzled look on your face but you didn’t let him say anything as you continued on. “I’m autistic, and I know I should have told you, but I just thought you’d see me as weak and you wouldn’t want me to travel with you.”

You were staring down at the floor, now very worried about what might happen. Did he even know what being autistic meant?

“Oh (y/n), I would never have thrown you off the TARDIS for that. I’d never throw you off the TARDIS full stop. And while you are completely right that if you had just told me that you’re autistic none of this would have happened, it was my fault for not making you feel as though you were in a safe enough environment to tell me.” The Master had come to sit next to you again, but you couldn’t bring yourself to say anything to him.

No one had ever reacted like that when you told them you were autistic, why was it that the psychopathic alien who had committed genocide on multiple occasions was being kinder to you than most people you had known?

“I guess we’re both idiots then.” You chuckled, trying to ease some of the tension. “Next time something like this happens, I’ll tell you as soon as things start to get too much - that way you won’t have to worry about me.”

“I think I’ll be worrying about you anyways, but it would be nice to know when you need my help.” He smiled at you fondly and you found yourself very flustered yet again. Luckily you didn’t have to speak just then, as he continued on. “How about we spend today in the TARDIS watching stupid movies and playing games, and then we get back to committing crimes tomorrow?”

Forcing yourself to look back up at him, you felt a smile form on your face, “that sounds great.”

The Master stood up from the sofa, held his hand out to you and lifted you up as well, not letting go of your hand even as the two of you started walking down one of the corridors.

You finally felt like you had a weight had been lifted off your shoulders after finally telling him one of your secrets. Of course, you still had another secret, and before today’s events you had never even considered telling him of your feelings for him. However, given the way he had taken care of you, you had a little hope that maybe he could like you back.

Still, that was definitely a confession for another day, for now you were just going to enjoy spending time with The Master.

Hello! So happy to see a new fic blog, especially one that has fics for the Master! May I request a fluffy Dhawan!Master x reader in which the reader is the doctor’s companion but doesn’t want to admit she’s in love with the Master? And you can choose the circumstances, but maybe the master “captures” and hypnotizes her in front of the fam and she accidentally reveals it? Thank you so much! I loved “warmth” a lot. 🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️♥️

Thank you so much! I absolutely loved this request as I was already planning on writing something along these lines. I couldn’t find a way to get the hypnotism to work but everything else is there so I hope you enjoy!

Hello! So Happy To See A New Fic Blog, Especially One That Has Fics For The Master! May I Request A Fluffy

You really hadn’t meant to fall for The Master, but intention never seemed to stop anyone when it came to falling in love.

When you first met him, as O, you weren’t quite sure what to think. He was a bit strange, but still sweet - and while he wasn’t your type, you couldn’t deny that he was very attractive. However, there were a few moments when you would look at O and see someone else, and that person interested you. Looking back now, you knew that you had seen his persona slip, even if just for a second, and that had been what had drawn you to him.

When he had revealed himself on the plane it had only drawn you in more. Of course, you had been terrified in the life or death situation, but you had also felt a buzz of excitement and intrigue. If he hadn’t have left you to die on that plane, you know that there was a chance you would have gone with him.

Then The Doctor had sent him off to the Kasaarvin’s dimension and you had lost hope of ever seeing him again, only for him to show up two weeks later.

The Doctor had taken you all to some market planet, given you a credit stick and told you to go off and explore. Originally, you had been wandering around with Graham, but then you had gotten sidetracked and lost sight of him. You had also lost sight of anything else that you recognised so you had started to amble around in hopes of finding someone or something to help.

At first, you hadn’t even seen The Master, so focused on your surroundings that you almost walked right into him, and you barely understood what was happening when he grabbed your arm and dragged you down a quiet side alley.

When you had finally recognised who he was and what had happened, you had been to shocked to stutter out a full sentence. That had caused him to smirk and cockily ask if he was the only one who could leave you speechless, which only made you more flustered.

Once you had finally managed to compose yourself you asked how he was alive, a question that he had ignored in favour of pushing you up against the closest wall and kissing you. It took your brain a few seconds to catch up with the fact that he was actually kissing you before you started to kiss back. Then he had swiftly broken off the kiss and told you that he’d be seeing you, before walking out of the alleyway and back into the bustling streets.

By the time you had finally made it back to the rest of the group, you had managed to get your brain back to its normal working order. Though, when your friends asked you where you had been you told them you simply told them that you had gotten lost after spotting something interesting, resolving not to bring up The Master at all.

True to his promise, he had shown up again about a week after that, kissing you senseless yet again and leaving with little explanation.

After this happened a few times, always when you got separated from the group, you started to have proper conversations with each other. A first they were only about whatever trouble he had caused on the planet to distract The Doctor with, but soon you had started to talk to each other more and more about your lives. He wasn’t as stingy on details as The Doctor was, but you could tell he was still keeping quite a bit of information from you.

Then he started showing up at your apartment, which was a little bit concerning, but he always knocked rather than just bursting in like you knew The Doctor would, so you didn’t really mind. Soon enough your relationship had changed from just meeting up and making out for five minutes, to meeting up and talking for a few hours. Though it was slow, you felt yourself start to fall in love with this strange alien man.

Of course, this caused a lot of internal conflict, especially considering you were still travelling with The Doctor and the rest of the fam. You knew that they were your friends - practically a second family at this point - but you feared that if they ever found out about your relationship with The Master you would loose them. So you kept quiet and tried to pretend that you weren’t secretly dating the man who had tried to kill you all. Every time the two of you met up on one of your trips with The Doctor was both exhilarating and frightening, and while you loved seeing him all the time you were always worried that one of your friends would catch you with him.

When The Master invited you to travel with him instead of The Doctor several months into your relationship, you didn’t quite know what to say. You knew that you loved him, but you had never been able to say it aloud, and you weren’t even sure if he loved you back. As well, it wasn’t like you didn’t like travelling with The Doctor and the fam; it was brilliant, even if you did end up running for your life on most adventures, and you weren’t sure if you were ready to leave them just yet.

Unfortunately, you had taken too long to give The Master an answer, and he ended up storming off without stopping when you cried out his name, not caring to listen to any explanation you had to give.

That had been a month ago and you hadn’t heard a word from him since, which had only upset and worried you. Even if you weren’t ready to travel with him then, you had hoped that you could still be in a relationship with him. You knew that your friends had noticed your mood, and they had all tried to talk to you about it, but you reassured them that you were okay and didn’t say anything more.

————

Now you were on another adventure with your friends, using it again to distract yourself from debating whether you and The Master had broken up or whether he was going to randomly show up and pretend that nothing happened. The planet that you had landed on was overrun with nature, and the ruins of whatever civilisation had been there previously were barely noticeable.

Somehow The Doctor had managed to find a very large cathedral-like building that was still mostly in tact, which was what you were currently exploring.

Without any warning you were grabbed from behind and pulled into someone’s tight grip, causing you to yelp and try to struggle away. Then you noticed who exactly had a hold of you and you stopped struggling as much, making a conscious effort to not relax completely into the hold that you had gotten so used to after the last few month.

Your friends had turned around at the noises and their faces were now a mix of anger and concern, glaring at The Master.

“Let her go.” The Doctor told him, her tone indicating her worry.

“Well, I would, but I think (y/n) is quite comfortable in my arms Doctor.” He spat his response at her, tightening his grip further, but still making sure not to hurt you.

You were trying to resist looking up at him, because you knew you wouldn’t be able to hide the love that your expression would hold.

“No, you’re scaring her, now let her go and I might consider giving you whatever you’ve come here for.”

In your chest your heartbeat had started to pick up speed, you could see that The Master was trying to let onto your friends about your relationship, and you only hoped that he wouldn’t actually say anything.

“Hmm, seems I know your companion better than you.” At this comment you finally looked at him, hoping that he would see the look in your eyes and just walk away without saying anything.

He didn’t look down at you though, and just stayed glaring at The Doctor.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” The Doctor was starting to sound irritated, but there was a hint of fear in her voice as well.

Still trying to stop him from revealing your relationship, you squeezed his hand and tried to get his attention. Unfortunately, he continued to ignore you, and you started to feel much more anxious.

The Master let out a hysteric sounding laugh at The Doctor’s question, and it wasn’t anything like the soft laugh you had grown used to. Though you hated to admit it, he was starting to scare you.

“You don’t even have a clue of what I’m talking about.”

Looking back at the four of them to gauge their reactions, you could see that Yaz and The Doctor were very close to piecing it all together, and Ryan and Graham wouldn’t be too far behind. Instinctively, you pressed further into The Master’s hold, trying to feel some semblance of comfort or safety. Obviously he knew what you were trying to do, he had gotten used to you snuggling close to him whenever you watched a scary movie or had a nightmare, and, either consciously or unconsciously, he started to stroke the back of your hand with his thumb.

“No…” The Doctor’s gasp could barely be heard, but it still caused your gaze to fall to the floor in shame.

You knew that you probably shouldn’t love him, but you did, and now you were going to face the consequences. All you hoped is that after loosing your friends, you wouldn’t loose The Master too.

“Yes.” The Master replied gleefully.

“You can’t- you must have hypnotised (y/n)! She wouldn’t willingly enter a relationship with you.”

“Well, clearly she would, because she did. I haven’t hypnotised her, or threatened her, or drugged her. (Y/n) is with me by choice.” The Master was very clearly pissed off at the implementation that he would do anything to injure you.

Honestly, you were slightly annoyed at it too, the only time he had ever come close to harming you had been on Barton’s plane, and you had gotten out of that alright in the end. You squeezed his hand for comfort again, and this time he squeezed back, calming you down slightly.

“Stop playing games and give (y/n) back.” The Doctor’s voice sounded almost dangerous now, and you were starting to worry for both your safety and The Master’s.

However, The Master seemed unfazed as he ignored her and continued to hold you, “You know it’s true, I can see it in your eyes, but if you’re still having trouble believing it then why don’t you just ask (y/n)?”

Of course he would put you on the spot, you had known him long enough to realise that this whole setup was coming from a place of vulnerability. He was worried that you were going to leave him, that you didn’t care for him anymore, and instead of talking to you about it he was lashing out. It was something that you had been trying to work on with him, but after your hesitation to answer his proposal of travelling with him, he had jumped to conclusions and this was the result.

The silence after he had told The Doctor to question was so deafening that you swore your frantic heartbeat was echoing around the abandoned building. You forced yourself to look up, to look at The Doctor in the eye, and it seemed to be the push she needed.

“(Y/n)?” She didn’t need to ask the question, it was already hanging in the air.

“I chose to be in a relationship with him, he didn’t force me into it.” And then, much quieter, you added on, “I love him.”

Part of you had hoped that no one would have heard what you said, but the room you were in had been dead silent. The Master’s grip on you relaxed in shock, holding you as though you were fragile enough that you could shatter like glass. You tilted your head towards him so you could see his reaction, still slightly worried that he wouldn’t reciprocate.

He seemed to be staring down at you with awe and love, and you couldn’t quite believe that he was looking at you like that.

“You love me?” He asked you, his voice impossibly soft.

You simply nodded in response, unable to form any words. The Master bought one of his hands up to cup your face lightly, as though he was still afraid of breaking you.

“I love you too.” He was almost whispering when he said it but a smile immediately formed on your face.

He leant in to kiss you and you kissed him back eagerly. Unfortunately the kiss was cut short by a not so subtle cough from the direction of your friends.

Still comfortably in The Master’s hold, you turned to face your friends again, feeling your face heating up as you blushed.

“Okay, am I the only one who’s really confused?” Ryan asked, looking around at the rest of your friends for confirmation.

He got a chorus of ‘no’s’ in response and if it wasn’t such a strange situation you might have laughed.

“Yeah, how come you’re in love with the guy who tried to kill us? Cause I feel like I’ve missed a lot.” Graham asked, as clueless as he usually was.

“I’m pretty sure that (y/n) has been secretly dating The Master.” Yaz piped up, and you were slightly glad that she had answered for you.

“Yeah that’s basically the gist of it.” You laughed awkwardly, yet again squeezing The Master’s hand for comfort.

They seemed to mull over this for a few minutes, before The Doctor finally spoke up again.

“(Y/n), are you sure that you want to be with him?” She asked you, and for once it was a question that you could answer easily.

“Yes, I am.” You smiled at her, and you knew that The Master was probably smiling at you.

“Then I suppose I can’t do anything to stop you from loving him.” Then she turned her focus to The Master, “but if you hurt her expect serious consequences!”

He rolled his eyes, “I wouldn’t expect anything less, but I won’t hurt them.”

The Doctor and your other friends then proceeded to interrogate the two of you (though they were mainly focused on The Master) about your relationship. Even if it was slightly annoying, you appreciated their concern and protectiveness over you. During the ordeal The Master constantly acted as though he was extremely annoyed and offended at their interrogation, though you could tell that he was glad you had such good friends - even if one of them was his best enemy.

Eventually the six of you made it back to the two TARDISes, and you all paused outside. He hadn’t bought up the question of whether you would join him in his TARDIS since the first time, and you were still slightly worried that you had missed your opportunity.

Then he turned to you, still holding on of your hands even though you were no longer in his hold, “Want to travel with me?”

He asked with such hope in his expression that you felt your heart melt, even after you had rejected him the first time he was still holding out hope.

A wide grin formed on your face and you nodded, “I’d love to.”

He grinned back and pulled you in for another kiss, much to the disgust of your friends.

The next thirty minutes were spent packing up your possessions and moving them from The Doctor’s TARDIS to The Master’s. That was then followed by teary hugs as you said goodbye to your friends and made promises to call and meet up with them whenever you were all on Earth at the same time. The Doctor made sure that you knew to call her if anything ever went wrong, promising that she’d be there immediately.

Despite the grief that you felt leaving your friends and that chapter of your life behind, you were eager to start travelling with The Master and to see how your relationship would develop. The Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz had definitely become a second family to you, but you knew that this wasn’t going to be the last time you saw any of them.

Holding The Master’s hand, you let him pull you into his TARDIS as you waved goodbye to your friends, before turning around and beaming at him. As soon as the door was shut he pushed you up against it and kissed you senseless - reminding you very much of your first kiss with him.

“Where to first, love?” The Master asked as he brushed a stray piece of hair away from your face.

“Anywhere, as long as it’s by your side.”

------------------------------------------------------------

You were incredibly gifted in hiding from The Doctor, especially with The TARDIS’s help. But, of course, you didn’t really need The TARDIS’s help to hide. The Doctor had taught you how to hide from danger and monsters and rogue aliens well. He should have suspected that you would have used your newfound skill against him one day. He knew that this wasn’t a menacing act delivered by you, it was more of a tease. If you weren't so mad at him because of his timer-themed tantrum, The Doctor would have tried to persuade you into playing a game of sexy hide ‘n’ seek, that is, if he could ever gain the courage to ask you out on a date first. Or given the current circumstances, if he could find you within his labyrinthian ship and win back your affection.

The Doctor knew that this was a game to provoke something and you were winning. Every second that passed, The Doctor wished to admit so many hidden feelings to you. He also knew that he had to do something big to end this stalemate and regain your favour. The Doctor was currently sitting in his study, having just torn down his planning board dedicated to finding The Master. He made a copy of one of his favourite pictures of the two of you and nailed it to the centre of the cleared board. He prepared to plan out the best way to woo you, but he couldn’t help but become distracted by our beautiful face smiling at the camera. The Time Lord smiled sweetly at the memory.

The photo was taken by an alien couple that thought the two of you were the cutest couple they had ever seen, even though you both vehemently denied being together. Despite that, when the picture was being taken, you held onto The Doctor so tightly. You leaned against him with your whole body and your arm was wrapped around his shoulders, pulling him into you. The Doctor firmly kept his arm around your waist, but he resisted your pull completely. The Doctor noticed how your body felt against his, then, and he reconised the feelings that had been floating in his brain for some time. He leant back, almost a bit in shock, and stared in awe at your beautiful face. He couldn’t believe that it took him so long to notice how much you meant to him. That day, The Doctor knew that he was in love with you.

Your smile, in the photo and the memory, was infectious. The Doctor couldn’t stop looking at it! You were so excited and happy to be on that planet with him, exploring and existing in his world without fear or hesitation. Now that the doctor was looking at the picture more closely, he noticed something new. You could clearly see The Doctor looking longingly at your face, his eyes shining brightly with affection toward you. Looking back on it, that probably added to the alien couple’s assumption that the two of you were in love with each other, at least on The Doctor’s part. He mentally kicked himself for acting like a shy lovesick puppy, incapable of saying his feelings, but always following you around, instead of acting on his feelings, but he was determined to fix that now. The Doctor collected some strings and connected the dots between things you loved and things you and The Doctor shared together. He knew what he had to do to show that you should be with him.

The Doctor then went out on a little shopping adventure, coming back with items sold in bulk, hauling them toward his study. The Doctor told The TARDIS to keep you away from his private kitchen if you were to venture out. He did not think that you would break, but he wanted his surprise to not be spoiled in any way. True to her word, The TARDIS kept you away from The Doctor as he laid out his plan.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You were beginning to grow bored with your plan. You really cared for The Doctor, more than you had ever cared for anyone. You loved The Doctor. That was obvious now. Before the moment when you really first showed your feelings when the two of you almost kissed in his private kitchen, you had always suppressed your feelings for him. You were rerouting that action, now. Maybe if you had confessed your feelings sooner then you wouldn’t be alone in your room wallowing now.

You sat in the middle of your room, staring at a picture of you and The Doctor on a tourist planet. The picture that the alien couple that came up to the pair of you assumed that you were a couple had taken. Of course, both you and The Doctor denied their assumption. It killed you to hear him say that, but then you could clearly see in the picture how The Doctor looked at you adoringly, only adding to your confusion on whether or not The Doctor liked you. You wished that this stalemate would make The Doctor do something, but nothing had happened yet.

You recently asked The TARDIS to let you and The Doctor cross paths, but you could feel The TARDIS prohibiting and rearranging some of your adventures through her walls. You assumed that this was The Doctor not wanting to interact with you. Every moment since that fateful day when you started this stalemate was riddled with anxiety for you. You wondered if you were mistaken about shared feelings.

The Doctor was shy about his past, but you were able to wrangle out some of his stories. The weight of the other companions The Doctor had travelled with and loved ones of The Doctor plagued your mind. You would wake up early in the morning and cringe at the memory of the two of you almost kissing. Voices in your head screamed that The Doctor was uncomfortable by your actions, that you crossed the line and he only ever saw you as a friend, and now because of what you did, he would want you to leave his home, he would want you to leave his life. You knew that he was too kind and adorably awkward to ever ask you to leave, so you thought that it would be kinder to him to do it yourself.

You decided to go to the main kitchen, after multiple attempts to open your door which was somehow locked, in the hope to meet The Doctor and make some hot chocolate and maybe make some cupcakes, as well. You thought that this would prevent you from making a horrible mistake. However, your venture was halted, after The TARDIS finally let you out of your room, when you saw that a chocolate cupcake was placed outside your door, neatly settled inside a purple cupcake wrapper. You knelt down to pick up the dessert, inspecting it for any peculiarities. It appeared to be a normal Earth cupcake until you inspected the bottom of the wrapper. Lifting the cupcake above your head, you saw The Doctor’s handwriting spelling out the words ‘look to your left.’ When you did so, you saw an orderly row of cupcakes aligned along the centre of the hallway and curving around the corner of the hall, falling in line like tin soldiers.

You went back to your room to collect a couple of plates to carry and collect the cupcakes on your journey. You reached down and picked up each cupcake one by one. Like the first cupcake, each new baked good in the line had The Doctor’s handwriting on the bottom of the wrapper.

‘Please’

‘continue’

‘to’

‘follow’

‘the’

‘trail’

‘of’

‘cupcakes’

‘until’

‘you’

‘reach’

‘my’

‘private’

‘kitchen.’

There was a break in the row of cupcakes, but you could see it continuing down the hallway. In the middle of the break, there were a couple of large baking trays with Hersey’s chocolate Kisses, weirdly one of your’s and The Doctor’s favourite chocolates to share, spelling out the words, ‘I know that you are incredibly considerate, but you don’t have to collect all of the cupcakes. There are too many for you to carry.’ You felt conflicted leaving the treats, but the plates you were holding were already covered in cupcakes. And your arms were now becoming quite tired.

Once you reached The Doctor’s study, the door was wide open, the row of cupcakes continuing straight through the study and into the kitchen. You crept into the room slowly, unaware of what you were about to encounter. You rounded the corner, stopping briefly to look at and reminisce over where the two of you almost kissed for the first time, before seeing a smorgasbord of baking confections and a tower of baking timers, including one that looked surprisingly similar to the baking timer that your aunt had gifted you. The Doctor was standing bashfully amongst the food and objects, he kept looking for happiness in your eyes to reassure him. You were more in wonder because of everything before you, but you smiled brightly when you finally met his gaze.

“I bought you a replacement timer.” The Doctor turned around and picked up a timer before handing it to you, your hands brushing against his as he placed the item in your hands.

“Like the one your aunt bought you. I’m sorry for throwing your property into a supernova. I had no right to do so. Even if it did upset me greatly.” You smiled at his gift, but also at his ramblings. He had no right to be this adorable.

“About that, do you want to explain all of this?” You smirked cheekily, placing the timer down on a surprisingly free space on the table you stepped closer to The Doctor, who followed your movements and stepped even closer to you. You really wanted to know why The Doctor threw all of those timers away, why he was doing this now, and what he felt about that fateful day in this kitchen.

“I think you know, Y/n. You are the smartest person I know.” He tilted his head and smiled to hide his fear. He knew that he loved you, but he wondered if you felt the same way. He assumed that you did, but that could be a dangerous assumption if he was proven wrong.

“I want to hear you say it, Doctor.” His face fell a bit at the confrontation, but you stepped even closer to him and clasped his hands in yours, you gave his hands a reassuring squeeze. He looked down and smiled at your intertwined hands giving him the confidence to speak his mind.

“I love you, Y/n and I just want to be with you. I am so tired of this isolation; I want to be with you. You are the best person in my life.” With each statement, The Doctor moved closer to where his forehead was practically touching yours. He bumped his nose against yours before looking deep into your eyes to try and read your face, his eyes were large and pleading for you to take the news well. But you ripped your hands from his. The Doctor was about to apologise for being so forward and rude. But then you hugged him tighter than you had ever before. One of your hands went up and ran through his styled hair and the other gripped the soft, yet slightly scratchy, material of The Doctor’s sweater vest. The Doctor’s head instinctively fell to your shoulder.

“Oh, Doctor! I wish you had told me sooner! Think of what we could have been doing if we actually had the guts to tell each other how we actually felt!”

“How do you feel, Y/n?” He sounded so fearful, and you could feel him shaking in your arms.

“I love you, Doctor,” you whispered into his ear to make it more personal, “I have loved you since I met you. And I want nothing more than to be with you!” The Doctor finally hugged you back, tighter than you were hugging him, and he excitedly picked you up and spun around a couple of times with you safely in his arms. He quickly placed you back down on the ground and cupped your face with both of his hands and stared deeply into your eyes once again, his warm orbs glowing with love. He finally saw you returning his feelings, a couple of happy tears escaping both of your eyes. The Doctor wiped your tears away and lent forward to press a passionate kiss on your lips. The two of you moved seamlessly, clinging to each other. He tried to pull away, being a bit flustered, but you quickly placed a hand on the back of his neck in order to deepen the kiss.

The two of you stayed like this for a while before you both had to separate to catch your breath. The two of you giggled in flustered excitement when you caught each other’s gaze. You moved to hug The Doctor again; comfort washed over the both of you. The two of you were finally together. You kissed up his neck to his cheek until you reached The Doctor’s lips, causing the two of you to enter into another round of kissing until you broke apart again to breathe.

“Do you want to go somewhere more comfortable?” You eventually said, brushing a lingering tear from The Doctor’s face.

“Oh! I would love to!” The Doctor giggly started talking with his hands.

“There’s a planet I recently discovered that is completely made of trampolines! How exciting! And what a comfortable ground to walk on.” He was so happy to finally have you back in his life. Sure, you were never gone, but the isolation drove The Doctor insane, especially when he discovered that he loved you so deeply and he just wanted to share his life and love for adventure with you. He missed having you near him.

“Umm … Doctor, that’s not what I meant. Although that does sound fun, maybe later.” You tried to decline his offer politely, but you really were interested in adventuring with him, especially now with your budding relationship adding a new element to the dynamic.

“Oh, what did you me- OH! Oh! Well, yes, I completely agree with your statement. We should definitely move to somewhere more comfortable.” The Doctor quickly grabbed your hands and pulled you out of the kitchen, but not before you could grab a tray of brownies. He continued to pull you through The TARDIS until you reached his room, the two of you giggled as you both excitedly committed to making up for all of the lost time spent hiding feelings for the other. There would be no more hiding now, no more secretive looks or almost moments. There would be only exciting adventures, intimate moments shared and a lot of baking.

Scheming Timers

Dhawan!Doctor x Reader

Summary - The Reader wants to bake after a stressful adventure, but all of the baking timers have seemingly vanished into thin air.

Link to the first part of this trilogy - Baking Hijinks

A/n - I hope that you enjoy this!

------------------------------------------------------------

You or The Doctor hadn’t been able to relax for a couple of weeks now. And the two of you definitely weren’t able to keep up with the habit you started of baking together. You and The Doctor had been too busy chasing The Master around the Universe thanks to her latest scheme. Everything erupted on an alien planet The Master was planning to sacrifice hypnotised native peoples of the planet she was on to the unknown partner in her plan. Unfortunately, you and The Doctor were unable to capture The Master or discover her scheme partner, but the pair of you were able to save the planet and its inhabitants. You insisted on making something to celebrate your victory, but The Doctor didn’t seem as keen. He had been keeping a secret from you and he feared that he was going to break at any moment.

After much convincing, The Doctor eventually added a personal kitchen to your room schematic. He was very reluctant in doing this, he quite enjoyed watching you roam around the main kitchen when he was meant to be helping you. No matter what you were making, you would float around the space as if you owned it, dancing from cabinet to cabinet, waving spatulas and wooden spoons like magic wands.

To The Doctor, you looked like an angel when you commanded that space so naturally. He could watch you all day. That is until you yelled at him to help you with whatever you were planning. The Doctor feared that if you had a private kitchen, you would no longer ask him to help you, meaning he would lose getting to see you so carefree and happy. Seeing you like this, calmed him in return.

Thankfully for The Doctor, you did not exclude him in your post-adventure relaxation in your private kitchen, but then he remembered how he acted after your last kitchen excursion and how incredibly forward he was. These memories filled him with the hope that you felt that same way as he did, but The Doctor was also filled with insecurity. What is he made a fool of himself? What if you were, somehow, corrupted by The Master and all of this was a cruel trick? The Doctor didn’t want to be alone anymore. He had wanted to be with you for a long time, but what if he misinterpreted everything and he would make you so uncomfortable that he caused you to leave? That’s the opposite of what The Doctor wanted.

The only thing that The Doctor was really certain of, other than his feelings for you, was that he hated baking timers. The baking timer had interrupted his kiss you, and now they were the bane of his existence. The Doctor was filled with so many insecurities about you, so he made sure to eliminate his fear of being interrupted when confessing his feelings to you by destroying the thing that had the possibility of doing that. Of course, this possessed a difficulty when baking, but The Doctor would always lie and say that he set the timer. He would diligently do tons of maths in his head to keep up with what he was hiding, and, so far, you hadn’t noticed. But he was getting anxious that the thought that you were getting close to discovering what he had done.

“Ugh! Where is that bloody timer? I know that I have one!” You yelled as you rummaged through every cabinet and pantry and shelf in your kitchen.

“Are you sure you have one?” The Doctor glared, looking at the mess you were creating with disdain while leaning up against the wall that connected your kitchen to your bedroom. He hated mess. Which wasn’t great considering that he often had trouble taking care of his own space. The mess was making him more anxious and grumpier than he already was.

“Yes! My aunt, that I don’t particularly like because of her politics, gave it to me! I used to keep it in the main kitchen -” You cut yourself off, quickly jumping up and turning to face The Doctor, making the noise you always made when a lightbulb went off in your head.

“Maybe I left it in there! Be right back!!!” When you ran past The Doctor toward the main kitchen, you poked his side a couple of times, trying to make him, at least, crack a smile. He only folded in on himself, blocking your pokes with crossed arms. You slumped a bit upon seeing The Doctor’s reaction but continued your journey to find the baking timer.

The Doctor had been unusually grumpy for the past couple of weeks, you assumed that it was because of The Master’s antics. However, part of your brain dared to venture into thinking that The Doctor’s upset nature could possibly have to do with the kiss the two of you almost shared, but you elected to ignore that thought. The Doctor hadn't asked you to leave, he hadn't stopped showing you the Universe, and he always baked with you. You thought yourself foolish in thinking that an alien as old as The Doctor could ever care for you. That all of the lingering touches and longing glances were just The Doctor’s misunderstanding of Human customs. He was just being a friend, a very kind and close friend. To you, this conclusion was easier to swallow than the idea of growing old without him. No matter how much you wanted to stay with The Doctor romantically, that, unfortunately, seemed improbable now because of your habit of being too forward with your feelings for The Doctor.

“It’s not in there either!” The Doctor heard you yell from the main kitchen. He couldn’t take this much longer. He hated lying to you, he hated keeping secrets from you. With most people, he was used to it. The Doctor was so old that it was easy to skip over or change a few details and no one could possibly catch him in the act. When he did this to you; however, it broke his hearts. He could picture your hurt and disappointed face when you discovered the truth, so he vowed to tell you the truth whenever possible. Now, knowing that he was breaking his vow, The Doctor’s actions made his skin crawl with disgust over his lie.

You returned to your room, finally drawing The Doctor out of his self-deprecating thoughts. He loved the cute little look you made when you were puzzled by something. You stood with one hip jutted out, both of your hands placed on your lower back and your mouth agape, your tongue resting on the back of your top row of teeth. He stared at you, with glowing eyes and a warm smile you didn’t see, too busy thinking until you jumped up again, a new possibility entering your mind.

“Wait, there was a timer in your private kitchen, right?! We can use that one!”

‘Oh, that thing,’ The Doctor thought while his face darkened when he remembered that day with you, ‘the reason why all of this started. That blasted, scheming timer ruined my chances with you.’

The Doctor dragged his feet begrudgingly as you pulled him by the arm to his private kitchen. The TARDIS purposefully made the trip between the two rooms last longer, giving The Doctor ample time to think about what he had done.

“It’s not here either!” You whined as you ended your search through all of the cabinets and cupboards in the room.

“Y/n, there’s something I need to tell you.” The Doctor's voice was very serious. His tone was laced with sadness and fear. He tapped his foot anxiously, chewing on his thumbnail while trying to avoid your eyes. Seeing him in a state immediately worried you, you ran over to him and began rattling off a series of questions to get to the bottom of why he was so upset.

“What?! What is it? Are you okay? Is it The Master? Are your cuts not healing properly? Are they infected? Are you dying?”

“Woah, woah, woah, it’s nothing like that at all!” The Doctor shifted himself into a more carefree position, placing his hands on your shoulders to ground you. You were relieved that it was nothing too serious, despite The Doctor’s previous attitude. But you questioned him again about what was going on and why he had been acting so strange as of late.

“I know what happened to the timers.” The Doctor’s voice was quiet and filled with guilt. Even though his hands were still placed on your shoulders, he could not maintain eye contact, resolving to stare at your shoes. You weren’t suspecting that to be the subject of his anxiety, but you pressed further, seeing in his guilty mannerisms that he wasn’t finished confessing things that he had been hiding. The Doctor turned away from you and folded into himself again, a hand was placed over his mouth as if he were trying to prevent the words from spilling out.

“I threw them all into a supernova.” The Doctor eventually mumbled into his hand, but you heard what he had said, despite his attempt to hide the information from you.

“You did what?” You marched up to him. You forced your alien host to face you, turning him strongly and abruptly with a strength The Doctor was not suspecting. His eyes were wide in a pleading fashion, and his right hand covered most of his face, in shock that he actually told you what he did.

“But my aunt bought me that timer, Doctor!”

“One,” The Doctor tried to reason his way out of this situation, accompanied with expressive hand movements, even though he could tell by your face that you were not in the mood for whatever explanation he managed to come up with, “you said that you disagree with her politics and two: that’s not the timer that annoyed me. I just threw that one, and every other timer in this ship, into the supernova for precautionary reasons.” The Doctor cringed upon realizing that he revealed too much in an attempt to gain the upper hand in this little tiff, but it seemed like you didn’t notice. Maybe he was in the clear.

“It was still a gift, Doctor! What am I going to do when she asks - ” You halted your yelling once the final part of The Doctor’s sentence registered in your brain.

“What do you mean by the timer that annoyed you? And what precautionary reasons would have to exist for you to throw all of the timers we own into a supernova!” His face lit up slightly when you said “we” when talking about the timers that were formerly housed in The TARDIS. But now was not the time to fantasise about the future the two of you could have together, as The Doctor often did, you were upset and The Doctor would have to fix that.

“Ummm … no reason at all …” Admittedly, once those words slipped out of his mouth, he knew that that would not satisfy his curiosity. So he decided to do what any sane person would do when being glared at by a determined curious person who he couldn’t say no to, The Doctor ran away.

“Doctor!” You yelled at him, rounding the corner in pursuit.

“You tell me what’s going on right now!” The TARDIS decided to aid you in the chase, looping the corridor The Doctor was running down until it crossed your path, causing you to run right into him, toppling him over. The TARDIS let out a series of joyous beeps when you caught The Time Lord.

“Ow! Oi! What are you helping them for?! I’m your pilot!” The Doctor retaliated toward the ceiling of his ship.

“Oh please.” You condescended. The Doctor hadn’t noticed that you moved to straddle his torso, keeping him in place beneath you, until you spoke. He couldn’t help but stare at where your crotch rested on his stomach. He couldn’t believe that you were actually this close to him, and on top of him, no less!

“We all know that the TARDIS does all of the piloting.” His eyes grew wide and a heat began to spread over his cheeks, but The Doctor tried to focus on a response to your accusation instead of his flusteredness. But The Time Lord was unable to form said hypothetical response because the TARDIS beeped again. You couldn’t understand her, but The Doctor heard her snarky comment loud and clear.

“Just like how Y/n has full control over your hearts, Doctor.” The Doctor’s ship snipped at The Doctor telepathically. His flustered nature grew to an embarrassing level; his hands were shaking and beads of sweat began to develop on his forehead. If he wasn’t still trapped beneath you, The Doctor would have attempted to run away again. Eventually, he was able to utter more than just a string of ‘umms’ and gasps of shock, though.

“I don’t see the need for both of you to gang up against me!”

“So the TARDIS is on my side! Good ol’Sexy! I knew she liked me!” The TARDIS let out a reassuring set of beeps even you could understand. She did like you and there was no way The Doctor was getting away from this situation without an explanation. You continued, but this time you directly spoke to The Doctor beneath you.

“So, Time Lord, do you want to tell me why you threw all of the timers into a supernova or am I going to have to force the truth out of you?” While speaking, you leaned over The Doctor, one hand on either side of his face as you stared deeply into his ever-widening eyes. The Doctor visibly gulped before stuttering out a hushed and breathy question.

“How - how are you going to do to force me?” You smirked, leaning down closer to his face until your noses were touching.

“I’m going to leave you alone until you break.” Before The Doctor could protest, you were already off of him and walking down the hall, back to your room.

Sneaking Around Part 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It had been tense aboard The TARDIS since The Doctor caught you and The Master “entangled together”, as The Doctor described it. You had assumed that your friendships with The Doctor and The Fam would become tense after the truth was revealed, but this was worse than anything you could imagine. You again assumed that this cold reaction had a lot to do with how The Doctor found you and The Master. That you couldn’t disagree with, it was awkward, but you did hope that your friends would be pleased for you for having found some happiness in your life. But it turned out that The Doctor thought that The Master hypnotised you into having feelings for him.

You couldn’t even turn to The Master for comfort during this strenuous time, though. The Doctor demanded that you and The Master were not to see each other again. The Doctor had rearranged the TARDIS floor plan and placed intensive security measures so The Master couldn’t hack into it. You were instructed to always be joined by a member of the Fam. The Master was moved to a more secure part of The TARDIS far, far away from you.

You had tried to sneak away from your guard of the day many times and hunt for The Master’s room, but you were never successful. You were always led back to your guard by The TARDIS. All you wanted was The Master.

One morning, while you were late for breakfast, you walked in on Graham and Yaz gossiping about The Master. Apparently, he had been trying to hack The TARDIS systems but failed and resorted to roaming the halls of The TARDIS in search of you. The TARDIS naturally notified The Doctor of his actions and the two Gallifreyians were currently engaged in a verbal fight. Ryan, who was supposed to be your guard of the day, was trying to find where they were fighting before you did.

Naturally, you snuck off to try and find The Master and The Doctor before Ryan. You were a part of this, and you should be allowed to discuss your wants with them. Also, The Doctor couldn’t keep you away from The Master forever. Even if The Doctor and The Fam were right and The Master never cared about you, it was your right to be mad at him, not theirs.

You heard distant yelling, and you knew that you were close, but then you heard The TARDIS beeping. Something in your subconscious knew that this time machine that you called home was not talking to you and was instead notifying The Doctor and The Fam. You began barreling down The TARDIS hallway toward the yelling. You could hear The Master and The Doctor now but then the hallway you ran into went completely silent. The TARDIS was keeping you away from them. You did your best to find where they were, manoeuvring around the labyrinthine halls of the ship. Eventually hearing yelling again and you ran down the hallway to finally see The Master again after weeks. But when the distant voices were finally becoming clear Ryan ran into you.

“Please, Ryan!”

“No, I’m sorry.” You bickered with Ryan for an indiscernible amount of time. You had thought that you were making some progress in convincing Ryan to let you see The Master finally, but through your pleading monologue, you hadn’t noticed Ryan pushing you back throughout the TARDIS halls.

“You will have to talk to The Doctor.”

“Then let me see Her! Wait, why are we in the kitchen?” You sighed realising that Ryan had walked you all the way back to the kitchen probably with the help of The TARDIS.

“It’s not fair that I am not allowed to talk to him, let alone see him!” You screamed at Ryan while he prepared breakfast for the two of you.

“The Doctor says that you will feel better once The Master’s hypnotism wears off. And you have to avoid seeing him during that process.”

“Hypnotism?! Ryan, The Master never hypnotised me. Ever! Not even when he was O! He would never do that to me!”

“How do you know, Y/n? You’ve got to admit, we barely know The Doctor even though we travel with her. How could you possibly know that the person who tried to kill us wouldn’t also hypnotise you and manipulate you?”

“He promised me. The Master promised me that he would never hurt me, and I believe him. Not because he hypnotised me, but because I love him and I know that he loves me, too. We wouldn’t do anything to hurt each other.” Ryan only sighed defeatedly and handed you your food. He felt bad for you, but he didn’t know how to handle this situation, and frankly, neither could you. You took the food that Ryan had offered you with a huff and ate in silence before spending the rest of the day in your room.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A couple more weeks had passed since you overheard The Master and The Doctor fighting, and you still hadn't seen The Master. You believed that The Master hadn’t hypnotised you, but you played The Doctor’s games sullenly. Four days ago was the day The Doctor’s analysis of your brain ended and much to your excitement, there was no evidence of mind control. The Doctor was stumped and frustrated. She didn’t tell you then, though, she told you much after the fact.

The Doctor was going to tell you this morning, having finally accepted the truth. She guessed that she had to allow you to see The Master now; there was no reason why she could stop you. Except for the fact that she had received a distress signal from the planet Dazsos. The Doctor figured that she would tell you after all of you helped saved the planet as a reward for your hard work.

All of you left The TARDIS in two groups; you joined the Fam in talking to the President of Dazsos and investigating the surrounding grounds of the President’s office while The Doctor and The Master did the heavy lifting. With this system implemented, all of you helped save the planet relativity quickly. The President thanked all of you for helping him and his people and allowed your group of friends to explore their planet after they and their people prepared all of you an extravagant dinner. The only warning the President gave you and your friends was to avoid the native Dyllitrio plant.

After the dinner, you had hoped to finally talk to The Master, but The Doctor pulled him away from you while Yaz pulled you in the opposite direction. You sighed defeatedly, but you tried to distract yourself from your loss by enjoying the rest of the day and the planet you found yourself on. The Fam, mainly Graham, helped a lot. The four of you laughed and joked about random things and took in the beauties of the planet, but then, somehow, you all got onto the topic of The Master. You didn’t bring him up because you knew that your friends would just complain about him, but you also couldn’t stop your friends from talking.

Your mood instantly changed as The Fam began ranting about The Master. You tried to block out what they were saying, but some things poked through your upset mind.

“Why him?”

“He will never care about you; you know that right?”

“I can’t believe you actually like him!”

You huffed as you followed The Fam as they were all collectively ranting toward you about your partner that you were still determined to see again. You didn’t want to hear what they had to say; they had already uttered similar phrases since they discovered that you and The Master were together. Multiple times throughout the quarantine you defeatedly believed that your supposed friends would never understand, and you appeared to be correct.

You sighed and slowly walked away from the ranting group in order to find The Master and The Doctor. They would both be annoyed by the fact that you went wandering off by yourself and potentially interrupted their talk, but you were positive that they would both understand why you left The Fam.

After retracing your steps, you finally saw The Master and The Doctor. They were walking swiftly along a cobblestone pathway; the two of them appeared to be arguing animatedly. The closer you had gotten to the President of Davsos’s residence, the more cobblestone pathways would crop up and lead you to the building. The pathway you were walking on eventually connected to the one the two rebel Time Lords were walking down, but in between the two paths was a verbose garden. If you were to walk or even run down your pathway, The Master and The Doctor were still far enough away to be all the way down the hill ahead of you. You were impatient and you wanted to see The Master after weeks of not being able to. So, you ran through the garden.

You didn’t manage to run that fast. Whatever alien plants were potted in the ground apparently didn’t like you treading in their bed. The smaller plants would nip and snap at your heels and try to wrap themselves around your ankles. You could always shake them away from you, though, and continue your pursuit of The Master.

Before you, you saw a bundle of thick shrubs surrounding and stretching out from a tree. Thankfully, you were far enough away from the tree to avoid any consequences from it, but the shrubs possessed a challenge.

You tried your best to get out of range of the plants. And you almost thought that you had until you felt a thick vine wrap itself around your leg and drag you backwards. You let out a loud scream out of surprise and pain. The death grip the vine had on you was unyielding, you could already feel yourself losing circulation in your foot. Just as you thought that that lone vine was your only worry, another vine wrapped itself around your other leg, and then sharp spikes shot into your flesh. You then screamed in pain again as a searing hot wave ran through your body, starting where the spikes were digging into your skin and moving upward.

Your legs grew increasingly numb as you were dragged toward the shrubs. Occasionally, more sharp pains and heat waves would shoot through your body. You assumed that that pain was caused by more barbs being carved into your skin and the heat was caused by some sort of poison. The pain was becoming less apparent, though, just as the world around you began to fade and blur. Just as your vision went completely black, you saw two figures running toward you from over the hill.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Master and The Doctor ran to you as fast as they could; even with their advanced biology, they were heaving breaths in fear and adrenaline.

“Y/n! Oh, my gods, Y/n! What trouble have you gotten yourself into now?” The Master slide down on his knees and scooped you up in his arms while The Doctor soniced the plants to release you. The vines of the Dyllitrio plant completely unleashed their hold on you, shrieking and skulking back to the shrubs they weaved through.

The Master caressed your face in worry to wipe away the sweat from your forehead. You were beginning to thrash around, and spasm and your eyes began to roll back into your skull; the poison was beginning to spread.

“What’s wrong with them?!” The Doctor questioned, joining The Master by your side.

“I don’t know! I’m not familiar with the vegetation of this planet!”

“Give me a tick. Got to look something up.” The Doctor jumped up and pointed her sonic screwdriver up into the sky, which caused her TARDIS to materialise in front of the three of you. The Doctor quickly ran inside her ship, leaving The Master to help you, mumbling something about the library

“Doctor! Now is not the time to do a bit of light reading!” The Master screamed at his old friend. He swore under his breath, but you were more important than his anger towards The Doctor. He had to take care of you because there was no way to know what The Doctor could possibly be doing right now.

The Master carried you through the halls of The TARDIS. The medbay doorway couldn’t come across his path soon enough. He kicked the medbay door open with his foot, much to the TARDIS’s dismay, and placed you onto the nearest hospital bed. The Master began to frantically hook you up to the machines in the medbay to monitor your vital signs while he waited for The Doctor.

“I found it!” The Master’s old friend screamed as she barreled into the medbay holding an ancient and dusty-looking book.

“Found what?”

“The antidote!” The Doctor threw the book she was holding onto your legs, which The Master quickly removed.

“That’s where they're hurt, you idiot!”

“Sorry! Can’t talk now. In a hurry!” The Master rolled his eyes at The Doctor’s ignorance.

“Doctor, if Y/n survives this, I’m going to kill you!” The Doctor ignored The Master’s comment and ran to a random corner of the room with a bunch of cabinets, rifling through them haphazardly. She finally came back holding an IV bag containing a green liquid and a small pot containing a green gel.

“I’ll hook up the IV. Start removing any thorns and cleaning the wounds with antiseptic. Then spread this gel on the wounds.” Both of the Gallifreyians worked quickly to help you overcome the poison of the Dyllitrio plant. They removed all of the thorns that were dug into your skin and spread the reversal gel over your legs. The Master carefully wrapped your healing wounds in bandages and gauze while The Doctor ranted about something that The Master wasn’t really processing.

“Can you give us some privacy, Doctor?” The Doctor nodded and mentioned something about collecting her companions before slowly walking out of medbay, seemingly suddenly aware of the gravity of what just happened.

The Master pulled up a chair to your hospital bed and just looked at you, taking the image of you passed out, wounded and hooked up to tons of medical devices fully into his mind. This really was The Master’s worst fear. Before the two of you began dating, he would have stated that his biggest fear was being captured by The Doctor. Now that he had you and experienced what love and care could actually feel like, seeing you hurt and broken really was The Master’s worst fear.

He really wanted to hurt The Doctor. You wouldn’t be like this if The Doctor hadn’t forced the two of you apart. But you wouldn’t want The Master to do that. You would just want to be with him. Maybe, when you felt better, you would make a snarking comment about how The Master finally had complete control of you now that you were hurt, and The Master would have to help you with everything. That’s what The Master wanted to experience, not another revenge plan.

The Master leaned forward and held your hand that wasn’t connected to the IV. He brought your hand up to his lips and kissed the back of it before moulding your limp hand to cradle his face. The Master stayed like this for a while, just trying to enjoy being in your presence again and trying to suppress his ever-growing rage for The Doctor by reminding himself of his love for you. The Master then moved to brush some dirt that remained on your face from when you had fallen on Dazsos. He kept his hand there and just held your face. For some reason, he just felt the need to talk to you. It had been so long since he was able to do that.

“I don’t know if you can hear me, Y/n, but I’m here for you. Everything’s going to be okay, love. I’m not going to let anything happen to you. You are going to be just fine. I’ll make sure that you withstand this, and I’ll do anything and everything in my power to help you with the recovery process. And I’m not going to let anyone tear me away from you again. It’ll just be you and me. I’ll make everything right again. For you.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In your dreamy hazy, poison and antidote-filled state, all you saw was The Master. His calming tone, his deep and hypnotic brown eyes, his strong hands holding your body, his affinity for purple clothes; everything that made The Master The Master surrounded you and filled your mind. It gave you hope. It reassured you that everything was going to be okay, and you were going to be perfectly fine, even though you couldn’t really remember if there was anything to be upset over.

Suddenly, a bright light seemed to swirl and mix with all of the purples and memories of The Master, almost engaging in a battle. The brightness won out and overtook your mind. You felt as if you were falling until your eyes jolted open making you realize that you had just been dreaming before then.

“Good morning sleeping beauty. Have a nice nap, did you?” The Master knocked your chin with his knuckles before wiping away some of his tears. You blinked rapidly, trying to understand your surroundings. Once adjusting to the bright light of the medbay, you finally realized that The Master was beside you.

“Master! You’re here!”

“What did you think that The Doctor could get rid of me that easily? Never!” A stray tear fell down The Master’s face, breaking the strong facade he was trying to put on for you.

“You’re crying.”

“Yeah, I almost lost you, you silly Human.” You tried to move and brush away the tear, but The Master pushed you back down onto the hospital bed while tutting.

“No, no, stay down, love. Your wounds are still healing.”

“Everything feels fuzzy.”

“That would be both the side effects of the poison you were stung with and the treatment. You’ll be back to full health and memory in a day or two, three days at maximum.” You nodded in delirious understanding. Of course, three days was a long time for you and your Human patience, but you mainly only focused on The Master’s voice. The Master chuckled at you. You couldn’t tell if he was amused by your blissful drug-addled state or he telepathically heard you thinking about his voice, but you didn’t mind. You just wanted to be close to him. Especially after not seeing him for so long.

“Can you cuddle me, please? I want to be closer to you.” The Master looked around the room quickly before agreeing to your request. He apologised to you, though, because he had to leave your side for a moment in order to get a blanket. He could tell that you wanted him to stay with you, but he wanted you to be comfortable.

The Master quickly retrieved a blanket and returned to your hospital bed. He covered you in the blanket and helped you shift over on the bed while making sure to not cause any extra injury. He then finally joined you on the hospital bed. The Master helped you cuddle into his side. Then he caressed your face, your neck, and every part of you that was not hurt and placed many bittersweet kisses on your forehead.

“I’ve missed you. So much.”

“I’ve missed you, too, Y/n.”

“I wanted you. I needed you, Master.”

“I’m so sorry, my love. I tried to talk to you and see you so many times, but The Doctor always stopped me. And I tried to keep civil with The Doctor and her little pets, so as to not hurt you, but I hate how much time we have spent apart.”

“I tried to secretly see you, too, but someone, or The TARDIS, always stopped me. I just wanted to be with you, Koschei. So, so badly.”

“And I just wanted to be with you, Y/n. Thankfully, we are together now, though. And we will get through all of this together. I promise.”

“I really love you, Koschei. Like, really really love you.” You had begun to tear up now, again, partially because of the drugs you were on but also because of the joy of seeing The Master again.

“I really love you, too, Y/n. Like really really love you, my little Human.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“He actually cares about them.” Graham perked up after seeing The Master reassure you on the display screen on the TARDIS console.

“Yeah, he does.” The Doctor responded coldly.

“We still can’t be certain. He could be lying or hypnotising them or all of us.” Yaz piped up, she still didn’t trust The Master.

“He’s not lying or hypnotising or manipulating. The Master actually cares about Y/n. Now, I suggest that we all head to bed. It’s been a long day.” The Doctor moved away from the monitor to click and press some buttons as a distraction, waiting for her companions to leave the console room. She saw out of the corner of her eye that Yaz hesitated from leaving and turned to say something but ended up closing her mouth abruptly and turned to fully leave the room. The Doctor understood why Yaz and the rest of The Fam had questions about your and The Master's relationship. It would definitely be something to get used to. But The Doctor knew The Master since childhood and knew that his feelings were genuine.

For the moment, The Doctor was just trying to be happy for the two of you. You both had been for too much for her to be mad or suspicious right now. However, if The Master actually did anything to hurt you, there would most definitely be hell to pay. But there was nothing for her or The Fam to be worried about; The Master loved you more than anything in the Universe and would do everything to make sure you were fully protected.

Baking Hijinks

Summary - After a week of The Doctor avoiding the reader, the reader convinces The Doctor to bake with them, almost causing unearthed feelings to reveal themselves.

Warnings - mentions of canon typical violence

Word Count - 2702

A/n - I hope you enjoy!

------------------------------------------------------------

Everything that could have gone wrong seemingly did. You felt as if there was nothing you could do to stop the chaos for a brief moment. The Master had resurfaced a couple of adventures ago and had made The Doctor’s life miserable. Which subsequently made your life miserable. The Doctor grew more and more distressed by the various tedious, teasing clues The Master had been leaving for him, like breadcrumbs, about her current scheme. All these little distractions pulled The Doctor further away from you.

This obviously serious distraction of The Master and her evil plans had caused every adventure you and The Doctor would go on to turn out horribly wrong. No one died, thankfully, but many were injured, including you and The Doctor. He had obsessively looked after you were injured, all the while not taking care of himself. Once you had recovered, however, The Doctor avoided you. You were beginning to hate The Master for the way she caused The Doctor to act. All you wanted was to be with The Doctor and to help him with whatever he was feeling right now. But because of what The Master did and the state of fear she put The Doctor in, you were unable to do as you wished.

Because you missed The Doctor so much, you would often replay the last moment you really interacted with each other over and over again in your head. The Doctor carried had you to the TARDIS medbay after you were injured in The Master’s plan, even though you knew you could walk there unaided, but he insisted on helping in this way. While on the walk to the medbay, he explained that you could have internal injuries and that walking would worsen your state. You didn’t think your injuries were that bad, but The Doctor said that he wasn’t going to take any chances. You asked about him and if it was worth it to possibly worsen his injuries in order to stop yours from getting worse. The Doctor didn’t acknowledge your questions, as you had arrived in the medbay and The Doctor instantly became preoccupied with tending to your wounds.

The Doctor didn’t help himself, at least, not that you observed. He carried you to your bedroom and told you to rest and call him if you needed him. He also informed you that he would be setting up an alarm on his TARDIS to notify him if your condition got worse. For the next few days, The Doctor looked after you obsessively, barely ever leaving your side and doing everything for you. The Doctor didn’t seem to be injured at a distance or at a quick glance, but you assumed that he was just hiding his injuries for your sake. He also refused to bring up the instances that lead up to you getting hurt in a vain attempt to spare you any further strife. He was only focused on the improvement of your health.

But as soon as you were mostly healed except for a few scabs, that’s when The Doctor began to avoid you. Whenever he would accidentally run into you, clear that he was trying to use the labyrinthian halls of The TARDIS in order to run away from you, his face would be washed with guilt and he would wring his hand looking everywhere except your face. He would talk quickly and without emotion, obviously wanting to escape as soon as possible.

You had received injuries with The Doctor before, but this was the most extreme instance, probably explaining why The Doctor was hiding from you. You assumed that he was fearful that you would want to leave and if he avoided your presence, you could never ask him to take you home. You might have yelled at him for his childish possessiveness if it wasn't for the fact that over the days you were left isolated, you discovered how desperately you wanted his attention. Or, to put it more bluntly, you discovered that the comforting feelings you always felt when around The Doctor were romantic in origin.

The Doctor obviously felt the same, otherwise, he would have let you leave, but knowing a mutual attraction made the lack of interaction between the two of you even more heartbreaking. You wanted to shake him. Scream about how much you loved him, but you couldn’t. Firstly, you couldn’t find him or get him to properly interact with you. Secondly, you had no idea how to tell the alien your romantic feelings for him.

The current unfortunate event of the week was the TARDIS malfunctioning. You were unaware if this was because of something The Doctor had done or if she was just having a tantrum or something else entirely. The Doctor said that he would explain later when you questioned him while he was stuck, or was rather hiding, under the TARDIS console while rummaging through her wires. You were obviously dissatisfied with this answer minimizing but left him to his fixing.

You tried to accept this new set-up, but the ship you called your home was always surprising you. Rooms moved around randomly, compared to the strategic, labyrinthian map the TARDIS organised rooms by. You wouldn’t be surprised if she had a colour-coded schematic, but at the moment, nothing made sense. When you wanted to go to the library, you ended up in the trampoline room. You tried to find The Doctor’s study to try and get him to talk to you again, you arrived at the swimming pool. You tried to go to the console room but ended up walking in a circle and wound up back in your room. You stayed there for a while, mentally exhausted, so you decided to get some reading and creative work done. At one point, out of boredom, you even started dancing Risky Business style to loud music.

Though these small distractions offered you some amount of serotonin, you quickly grew bored again. You tried to plead with The TARDIS to actually let you arrive at your desired destination. You hadn’t eaten all day except for a few sugary snacks you had snuck into your room, so your growling stomach requested a substantial meal, or maybe some baked goods because who doesn’t love baked confectionaries? Thankfully, the path you were taking seemed normal. You took a calming breath before reaching the door you hoped was the kitchen. Though, you were initially disappointed when you opened the door and saw stacks of books and papers and walls made of bookshelves and a detailed web of all of The Master’s clues and previous schemes.

You were in The Doctor’s study and were about to turn and leave until you saw a sleeping Doctor hunched over his desk. He looked awful, with dark circles under his eyes, his hands stained with ink and covered in scabbed cuts from where he was injured on your last adventure. Again, you contemplated leaving, allowing The Doctor to sleep because he did so rarely, but light in an adjacent room beyond a small purple couch on the opposite side of the study caught your eye. You crept into the room, cringing whenever the floorboards would creak. The new room was a kitchen. Of course, The Doctor would have a kitchen attached to his private study. He loved his homemade sweets. You would have to suggest to The Doctor that you should have a kitchen attached to your bedroom once the two of you begin talking regularly again.

Like the study being a smaller, more personal version of the main TARDIS library, the kitchen was a quaint, very Doctor, version of the larger main kitchen. There was a small four-person table with a light purple rug beneath it. Cabinets that matched the wood of the table, the cabinets were labelled with what should have been in them, but nothing was in its place, and there was a small, abstract, purple crystalline chandelier hanging from the ceiling and giving a gentle, atmospheric light to the room.

You snuck around the kitchen, doing your best to be quiet. You thought it would be best to carry your supplies in two trips to minimise noise, one for all of the ingredients and the other for all of the supplies. But being the clumsy klutz you were, you tripped over the edge of the carpet beneath the table causing the pans, bowls and utensils you were holding to fly out of your hands and land on the kitchen floor with a momentous crash. You cursed yourself, crouching quickly to pick up everything, hoping that you did not wake up The Doctor.

“What?! What‘s going on?! Who’s invading us?!”The Doctor ran into the kitchen with his sonic in one hand and a large spoon in the other. His usually slicked back and perfectly combed hair was standing straight up, his sweater vest was wrinkled, and one of his paint legs was rolled and scrunched up, exposing his purple sock. The Doctor’s matching purple tie was also loose, hanging sleepily around his neck. Frankly, he looked like a hilarious mess.

“No one is invading us. Doctor, everything is fine.” You tried to sound calm for The Doctor’s sake, but there was the remains of a giggle lurking in your throat.

“Then what the hell happened?!” He waved the spoon and sonic around dramatically.

“Oh,” you finally stood up and moved the things you had dropped back to the table, “I just dropped some pans and baking utensils. Are you okay? You seem stressed.”

“Why are you baking?” Of course, he ignored your question, he was much too selfless for his own good.

“Just to relax. Also, I’m quite hungry, so that helps. I want to make some fettuccine alfredo, but I can’t get over my intense craving for brownies and the moment. I’m sorry that I’m in your study kitchen, by the way. I tried to get to the main kitchen, but The TARDIS had other ideas.” The Doctor still looked shocked, his chocolate eyes wide with fear as he breathed heavily.

“Do you want to help me?” You hoped that he would say yes so you two could finally move on from this awkward stalemate the past week had been. You just wanted to be close to him again. Maybe you could inch closer to confessing your feelings, too.

The Doctor agreed, but still avoided eye contact and remained mostly silent. You both moved around the small space comfortably, both clad in dorky aprons The TARDIS probably picked out for you. The Doctor seemed to open up the more as the two of you mixed ingredients. Both of you decided that scraping the idea of an actual meal was a brilliant idea and instead the two of you decided to make chocolate chunk brownies and chocolate chip cookies. You suggested that the two of you should eat said sweets with ice cream.

You mixed one batter mix and The Doctor mixed the other, all in silence. You poured the brownie batter into the baking tin while The Doctor meticulously tried to separate the cookie dough into equal portions. His brows were furrowed, and he bit his lip in intense concentration. You couldn’t help but smile at this innocent look he pulled off so well. He was thousands of years old, he overthrew evil tyrants and saved galaxies, but he looked like a toddler trying to perfect a drawing to hang on the fridge. You saw this as your opportunity to try and return your friendship to the playfulness that was present before this terrible week started, or, at least, end this awful silence. You stuck a finger into the brownie batter and dolloped the unbaked mix on The Doctor’s nose, causing him to shriek and lose his concentration on the cookies. You burst into a fit of loud giggles, doubling over. The Doctor only glared.

“Y/n! Why did you do that?” He went to wipe away the batter, but you grabbed his hands to stop him, forcing him to face you.

“Why not do that? It's funny.” He disagreed and, again, tried to move to clean his face, but you kept him in his place. You stared at each other for a while, a plan began growing in your mind like a beautiful and tempting flower. The Doctor’s confusion showed brightly in The Doctor’s eyes. You suddenly leaned forward, still holding The Doctor so he couldn’t back away, and licked a dollop of brownie batter off of his face. You smirked at his flabbergasted expression, his jaw dropping and his warm brown eyes growing wide in shock again.

Leaving the adorable alien to comprehend what just happened, you turned to collect the baking trays and place them in the oven. You continued to ignore The Doctor’s shock, putting all the food supplies away and collecting the dirty utensils and placing them in the sink to wash later. With everything finally put away, you went to clean the things in the sink. After a few more minutes of silence, you felt The Doctor’s hands hesitantly wrap around your waist and his chin rest on your shoulder.

“To answer your question from earlier, I'm not okay. And I’m very stressed and worried. But this has cheered me up greatly.”

“Do you want to talk about anything?” You turned your head slightly to look at him and to your surprise, The Doctor didn’t look away. His eyes were big and sad but filled with care for you, almost like he couldn’t believe that you were a part of his life.

“Not now, but maybe later.”

“Okay, but just know that I’m here whenever you need me.”

“I know, and I’m sorry for being so distant. I was afraid that you would want to leave. That’s the opposite of what I want, Y/n.” You dried your hands and turned in his arms to face him. He stiffened a bit, not used to being this close to you, but you squeezed his arms reassuringly.

“I assumed that that’s how you felt, I’ve been wanting to reassure you this entire time. I don’t want to leave, Doctor. I don’t know what I would be without you.” You lent your head against him, hoping he would understand your insinuation.

“Do you really not want to leave? You were hurt because I got us into a mess. I was meant to protect you.” Both of your noses bumped against each other, but you couldn’t tell if he did it on purpose.

“I’m positive that I don’t want to leave. I trust you, Doctor. I always have and I always will. And despite how much you want to, you can’t protect me in every situation. What matters is that you helped me when I needed it. Now I want to help you because you definitely need it right now.” Your noses bumped again and again, and The Doctor ghosted his hands up your body until his hands were cradling your face.

“I’m starting to care about you very deeply, Y/n.”

“And I’m starting to care about you very deeply, Doctor.” He shifted closer, his lips just hovering over yours. When you thought that this agonising suspense would finally be over and your greatest wish would finally be realised, the timer indicating that the brownies and cookies were done baking went off, causing the two of you to separate. You briefly looked to The Doctor, who looked away, flustered and running a nervous hand through his hair. You ended up quickly running from the situation and flusteredly fumbled while retrieving the baked goods and the ice cream to ignore your embarrassment about your almost moment with The Doctor.

You hoped that soon enough you would have another moment with him, but in the meantime, you would just have to settle for sharing this snack with him, and revelling in the fact that you were no longer sneaking around The TARDIS avoiding each other. This would be enough, for now, to see his smile, the warmth of his eyes, and to see him forget about all of his stresses while he was with you. This would be enough.

Secret Lover

Whittaker!Master x Reader

Summary - The Doctor discovers The Master’s secret partner.

Warnings - The Doctor not trusting/believing The Master, The Doctor stalking The Master and alludes to stalking the reader

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested on my old Tumblr by a lovely anon! I hope that you enjoy it!

------------------------------------------------------------

The Doctor tracked The Master down to a small cottage in middle England and he could not believe what he had discovered. He really could not believe his eyes. Out of everything they had experienced together for thousands of years, this was the most shocking thing The Master had ever accomplished. How did The Master end up with you and he didn’t?

Of course, The Doctor had no idea who you were, but according to the scans he performed, they proved that you were Human. The Master hated Humans, The Doctor loved them more than his own species! He should be with you, not her! The Doctor had to see what his Best Enemy was planning and save you from her.

The Doctor landed his TARDIS outside of the protective field he detected and began to creep toward the cottage. Along the way, he was investigating his surroundings, searching for anything suspicious or deadly. To his surprise, he didn’t really find anything that would alarm him.

The Doctor observed neatly planted trees, shrubs, and flowers decorating the cobblestone pathway leading up to the cottage. He noticed that whoever had designed the layout of the area had a fondness for weeping willow trees. There were probably about thirty weeping willows planted throughout the large garden surrounding the cottage.

The Doctor stopped beside one of those trees and inspected the flowers blooming on the branches. He suspected that these trees were not from Earth and were actually from the planet Lypitta. Meaning that The Master was planning to poison all of Earth’s leaders with a handmade blend of itiia poul klailei leaf tea and take over the Earth once said leaders were dead and out of her way. However, upon further investigating the tree with his sonic, The Doctor discovered that it was just a normal Earthly weeping willow tree. Why would The Master plant regular Human trees instead of something that could wield destruction in her villainous hands?

“Who the hell are you?!” You screamed as you brandished a bat protectively while running out of your home toward the stranger in your yard.

“I’m The Doctor. I’m here to help.”

“By snooping around my garden?” You held the bat higher, ready to attack this stranger.

“Darling? What are you - Oh. It’s you.” The Master strode out of the front door of the cottage but immediately stopped in annoyance when she caught a glimpse of The Doctor.

“You know this person?”

“Yes, He’s uh … an old friend. Why don’t both of you come inside so we can talk?” You took one last look at The Doctor before rushing up to The Master. You were now calmer but still curious, especially about who this stranger was to your partner. The Master gladly wrapped an arm securely around your middle and looked over her shoulder to make sure her old friend was following.

The Doctor entered the cottage slowly, not really knowing what to expect. He stood in the doorway watching you and The Master moving an extra seat around a small table and cleaning up some random objects and clothes strewn around the visible parts of the house. The Master gestured to one of the seats, implying for The Doctor to sit there. The Doctor did just that while you and The Master organised a few more things before joining him.

The three of you were incredibly silent, looking around almost everywhere except each other. You were growing anxious, so you reached out to The Master for comfort. She gladly took your hand and squeezed it reassuringly, it felt as if she needed you, too. The Doctor couldn’t stop staring at the place where the two of you were now interlocked. That should have been him holding your hand a reassuring you, not The Master.

“How long have you been on Earth?” Finally, The Doctor spoke, interrupting the embarrassing silence and drawing his hurt eyes away from where you were holding the Master’s hand.

“Probably about fifteen years. I had a brilliant plan to destroy you and your beloved planet, and I was just about to execute it, but then I met Y/n. I abandoned my plan and destroyed everything relating to it, then I reached out to Y/n. We have been in a happy relationship ever since.” The Master looked at you lovingly while briefly recounting your past. The Doctor didn’t believe her for a moment.

“She never hid her past from me. She was transparent with me from the very beginning.” You added. The Master had once mentioned in passing that The Doctor only saw her as a manipulative liar. You felt the deep need to stand up for your partner’s character.

“That doesn’t sound like her.”

“Listen, Doctor, I don’t understand what your problem is, but it sounds like you don’t really know what Koschei is like.” You retorted.

“Darling, can you please make us some tea?” The Master nicely asked you in order to avoid an argument to erupt in your living room. You regretfully nodded, you wanted to get to know your partner’s old friend, but you walked into the kitchen anyway to prepare some tea for the three of you. The Doctor waited for you to be securely in the kitchen before he dramatically leaned forward and spoke to The Master in a hushed, yet aggravated tone.

“You’ve hypnotised them. You must have.”

“Why can’t you just be happy for me for once?”

“I will never be happy about the idea of you hypnotising innocent people.”

“I have never hypnotised Y/n and I never would. How dare you accuse me of doing such a thing!”

“I’ll stop whatever plan you are devising, and I will save Y/n from you!”

“In the many centuries I have known you, Doctor, I have never known you to be this delusional. It’s truly astounding! You must get your head checked! And on a more serious note, stay away from Y/n. You are clearly delusional, but if you hurt Y/n or kidnap them away from me or away from our home, I will not hesitate to destroy you.” The Master threatened.

“See! I knew you were still evil!”

“I just want to see Y/n safe. You are the one threatening that. I am in no way planning on returning to my life before Y/n, unless you take them away from me, Doctor.”

“I don’t believe you.” The Master huffed. She slouched back into her chair and pinched the bridge of her nose before speaking again.

“I pity you, Doctor, and I wish that you would have reacted more rationally. We used to be friends. I haven’t forgotten that, but clearly, you have.”

“Master -”

“I was afraid that this is how you would react. That’s why I didn’t tell you of Y/n when we first began dating or on our first anniversary or even when moved in together. I know that you no longer care about our history before I made my mistakes. I think you should leave before we continue this in front of Y/n and you upset them.” The Master looked The Doctor in the eye with sincerity. The Doctor didn’t know what to believe anymore.

“The tea’s ready! I made Prince of Wales. I also got us some biscuits and cookies. The Master once mentioned that you had a sweet tooth, Doctor.” You said cheerfully while walking back into the room where the two Gallifreyians were sitting.

“Something came up in The Doctor’s schedule, I’m afraid, and he won’t be able to stay for tea.” The Master sent a glare to The Doctor, hoping that he really would spare you from overhearing over a thousand years' worth of hatred for each other being spewed out venomously.

“Yes, I am terribly sorry to have troubled you, but I must be leaving.”

“Well, at least take some cookies. They’re homemade!” The Doctor bittersweetly piled some cookies onto a napkin and gave you a tight-lipped smile.

Once outside, The Doctor took one last look at you through the little cottage window. He wondered if you were truly happy. You did look happy. The Master also looked happier than The Doctor had ever seen her throughout all of her regenerations, and that’s what scared him. The Doctor would definitely be keeping a close eye on the two of you. Possibly he could reach out to you when you were alone. Maybe he could even help you see the truth in The Master’s character. And maybe you would even see how much better for you The Doctor would be. The Doctor had to help you see the truth.

For anyone who has been a fan of Doctor Who for any amount of time, do any of you have maladaptive daydreams or situations that you play over in your head that don’t really make any sense canonically? I can’t be the only one.

I watched The End Of Time when I was 10 and I had just had a death in the family so I did not take the death of The Doctor and the seeming death of The Master well at the time. So I created a story in my head that they both survived and they travelled together in the TARDIS (with me because it was my maladaptive daydream).

Also, I just love EOT Simm!Master. No offence, but also all offence to Harold Saxon Simm!Master and Silver Simm!Master, but EOT Simm!Master is the best! I really want to know how EOT Simm!Master and the Time Lord Victorious Tennant!Doctor would react to each other in a domestic environment. Maybe together they could have saved/helped Donna?

I don’t know. I just like the gremlin hoodie boy.

You Don’t Mean It

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Master is living on The Doctor’s TARDIS and grows close to the Reader, but he refuses to believe that you could possibly have feelings for him.

Warnings - Self-deprecating thoughts and self-esteem issues on The Master’s part. Me making up alien planets and creatures.

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. This is a bit of an AU where all of Whittaker!Doctor’s companions are travelling together. This was also a request from my old Tumblr, but I got another idea, so I decided to write it, too. I hope that you enjoy it.

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master thought that this was all a dream. He had been alone for so long. The only things in his life were pain, death, revenge, betrayal and loneliness. Now he had a group of people who didn’t hate him. ‘Friends’ was probably too strong of a word, he knew that, but at least he wasn’t alone anymore.

The Master couldn’t help but spiral sometimes; thinking that all of this was a dream, and he would wake up alone again. Or, even worse, he was plotting a revenge plan on the planet Hypnos and a Ypnyotic Worm had burrowed into his brain and was now injecting him with its poisonous and hypnotic venom. So, all of this could be a fever dream. Even though he liked not being alone anymore, he could easily move on if he found out that the life he had been living with The Doctor and her little companions was all a dream. He would not be able to move on from you so easily, however.

You were the opposite of him. When The Master still denied his feelings for you, he tried to compare you to The Doctor and any of her pets, past or present, but he was never able to make a successful comparison. You were uniquely yourself. You were bright and lively, even during your bad days, you always tried to make the best of any situation. But you weren't afraid to talk back and confront The Doctor, unlike a lot of her pets. The Master loved that about you. You wanted to see the Universe, but you weren’t desperate to have The Doctor love you.

Along with your alluring personality, The Master had a soft spot for you. You were the first person to reach out to The Master once he joined The TARDIS crew, to try and extend the olive branch of peace to him. The Doctor didn’t even need to ask you to, like how she had to ask the rest of her companions to do so. You just wanted him to feel welcomed. You couldn’t imagine how difficult an adjustment this must have been for him and, considering the fact that everyone else aboard were distancing themselves from him, you didn’t want to add to the dogpile of negativity.

Now, the two of you were like two peas in a pod, doing almost everything together. You both even had a set routine. You would help him cook breakfast for the companions and The Doctor and then after all of you ate, you and The Master would go to the library. There you would either choose books for the other to read, pick a book and read together silently by the library fireplace, or read aloud to each other. Sometimes though, even though the two of you would choose books to read, you would not read them. Instead, you would continue the conversations you began while making breakfast until it was time for lunch.

You were late today, however. The Doctor was off doing whatever, and her other companions were still asleep, so your routine wasn’t that horribly and inconveniently skewed, but The Master was worried. You were never late. You voiced to him, one morning, that you only kept the schedule for him because he was so particular, but you were still always on time.

Just as The Master grew tired of waiting and prepared to make his way to your room to see what was up with you, you walked through the doorway of the kitchen. You jumped a bit when you saw how upset and tense he looked, staring down the doorway. He tried to calm down quickly. He didn’t want you to think that he was mad at you, he was just worried. But he still had questions for you and your lateness.

“Is everything alright?”

“Yes! Of course. I was just thinking and pacing in my room and lost track of time. I’m sorry for being late. Do you have something planned for breakfast today?” You grabbed your apron and put it on, all the while rambling and walking briskly through the room with barely a glance cast to the Time Lord. The Master didn’t respond to your follow-up questioning and instead walked over to you to look you in the eye.

“If something is wrong, you can tell me.” The Master awkwardly placed his hand on your shoulder.

“I know that things might be a bit unusual, but I thought that we have been growing close.”

“Nothing’s wrong, Master. I would tell you if something was bothering me, I promise.” You smiled sincerely towards the rebel Time Lord, and he seemed to believe you even though he was still curious about your strange behaviour. So, the two of you decided to play normal and prepare breakfast as you usually did. The Master entertained you with various embarrassing stories of The Doctor and numerous stories that painted The Master to be a great warrior. You loved hearing The Master’s tales, but despite the fun you were having, you couldn’t help but think back to the realisation you had made that morning.

You woke up more excited to make breakfast with The Master than you had ever before. You just thought that you were lonely, The Master being one person on the TARDIS to take the time to truly understand you. But when you were in the shower, you realised the difference in your feelings. You had fallen in love with The Master. You panicked. You were excited for yourself but quickly became fearful that The Master would never reciprocate. So, you paced around your room and thought of how you were going to handle this situation. You resolved to just play along with the friendship you and The Master had formed and hide your feelings for as long as possible. That’s when you noticed that you were late, so you ran to the TARDIS kitchen to keep up appearances.

You and The Master were almost finished with breakfast. The two of you had made this breakfast several times, so despite the delay, you finished the meal basically on time. After the meal was prepared and the table was set, you would be the one to notify the rest of the companions and The Doctor that breakfast was ready. The TARDIS had placed a large pull-down lever on the furthest wall of the kitchen that would set off a string of chimes and bells in everyone’s rooms. If anyone wasn’t in their room, the TARDIS would notify them herself after you pulled the lever.

So, you made your way to the device. The Master stopped, however. He grabbed your arm softly and turned you back around to face him. You gave him a questioning look and The Master opened his mouth to speak. He closed his mouth, clueless of what to say, and stood in thought for a moment before finally speaking.

“I meant what I said earlier, Y/n. If something is wrong or you just need to talk about something, I’ll be here if you need me. You’ve been here for me more than necessary. I would like to return the favour.”

“Master, I want …” You trail off when The Master moves his hand up to your face and brushes the pad of his thumb over your cheek. Your eyes locked onto his. It could have been the atmospheric yellow lighting that permeated The Doctor’s TARDIS, but you could have sworn that The Master’s pupils dilated.

“You had a bit of flour on your face.” You nod in understanding but turn away quickly to hide your warming face. Upon turning, you see The Doctor, Yaz, Ryan, Graham and Dan all standing awkwardly in the second doorway of the kitchen. You didn’t know how much of the encounter they observed, but judging their open-mouthed and questioning faces, you assumed that they had seen enough to come to their own conclusions about your relationship with The Master. The Doctor coughed to defuse the tension and barreled past her companions to get to her seat as fast as possible.

“What wonderful breakfast will we be enjoying today, then?”

Despite The Doctor’s attempt to lighten the mood, she was unsuccessful. All of you mainly ate in silence, except for when the Doctor would feel awkward with the silence and try to ramble her way out of it. The Master would always roll his eyes when The Doctor would do this. You always managed to catch him when he would do that, causing you to giggle a bit and try to hide your face from him and your friends.

The Master kept looking at you throughout the meal, though, mainly wondering what you were thinking. He loved the giggles he would cause, but he knew something was different with you today and he inspected every part of your demeanour for a hint of what could be troubling you. You didn’t seem upset like you had just received bad news. You looked calm, more so like you came to a realisation and are happy about what you just realised. He hoped that it was something about him, but you probably didn’t think of him as anything other than a charity case.

The Doctor and her companions finished up their breakfasts and gradually walked out of the kitchen to go about days. Thankfully today was a calm day without a set adventure, so you could all just do as you pleased. Yaz was the last to exit the room, dragging The Doctor out behind her. They seemed close. And you didn’t seem to care or notice. All you did was finish eating your own meal before beginning to clear up the table. So, The Master calmed himself when he ruled out jealously from his list of possibilities for why you might have been upset this morning.

The Master had noticed over his time in the TARDIS that you didn’t appear to have a crush on anyone on board, you mostly hung out around him, even on adventures. Maybe you realised that you liked someone? The Master assumed that you probably liked someone back on Earth, definitely not him. Why would you like him?

When you and The Master began to curate this routine of yours, the two of you agreed with the other to do the clean-up after breakfast. The Doctor and her companions, but especially The Doctor, were surprised that The Master would demean himself by washing the dishes, but unknownst to all of them, The Master just liked hanging out with you. The general schedule eventually extended to the rest of The Doctor’s companions cooking lunch and dinner either going out or the two groups would take turns.

The quietness between the two of you continued while you washed up, but there was an excitement hidden in your actions. Both you and The Master loved the next part of the routine, going to the library.

Thankfully, you and The Master didn’t walk to the library in silence. Upon leaving the kitchen and starting your journey to the library, you sparked up a conversation about The Master’s childhood. The Master was shocked, at first. He wondered why you would want to learn about his past. But he had opened up to you about his time on Gallifrey before, so he brushed it off as you just being curious.

Upon entering the library, you went your separate ways searching for the best book for the other. You went off to the section of the library you could actually read. The Master could read almost anything in the library, but he chose to stay close to you, observing you to see if everything was truly okay.

The Master looked at you through the missing books on the bookshelf. He smiled when you scratched an itch on the tip of your nose adorably. Then shook his head in fear; he realised what that thought meant. He had had these thoughts before, but for some reason, his brain didn’t make the greater connection. He conjectured with himself that he most likely didn’t realise his feelings for you because he was relishing in the feeling of no longer being alone. The fact that you were late this morning made him anxious. He feared that you were hurt, lost, or just bored of him. He couldn’t stand any of those possibilities. Especially the thought that you would no longer wish to be around him one day. He assumed that that would happen, though.

The Master looked down at the book in his hands, but he was not looking at anything in particular. The Master was too lost in thought to pay attention to anything. He was too distracted by you and the thought of being with you and how to make you feel better today.

You found your book and motioned to The Master, but he didn’t notice you through the bookshelf. You walked around the bookshelf, trying to get The Master’s attention. You called out to him multiple times, but he just stood in the middle of the aisle, holding a book loosely and staring at his feet. You reached out to gently grab his arm. He jolted at your touch; his eyes fluttered around before finally landing on your eyes.

“Did something happen? Are you okay?” The Master blinked in response, still a bit confused after being drawn out of his imagination.

“Of course I’m okay. Did you find a book?”

“Yeah, what about you? Are you ready to sit down?”

“I’m not really interested in anything today.”

“Oh. Do you want to call it a day?”

“Do you?”

“No. I like spending the days with you, Master. Do you want to read with me? Or we can do something else.”

“I can read to you if you want. Like I did when you were sick a couple of weeks ago with Tarrairiuum Flu.”

“I’d love that, Master!” You bounced on the balls of your feet before excitedly pulling him toward your favourite sofa. He stumbled a bit but recovered quickly and followed you, continuing to hold your hand tightly. He wondered if you were just doing this to cheer him up. If all you were doing, the entire time he had been staying on The Doctor’s TARDIS, was tricking him into feeling things. If you were tricking him into being a better person. Tricking him into not scheming. Tricking him to love you. All to appease The Doctor. You couldn’t love him. You just couldn't. He was a monster.

You manoeuvred the Master to where he was lying down on the sofa by the now lit fireplace thanks to The TARDIS. He couldn’t tear his eyes from you the entire time. When The Master was finally settled, you grabbed a quilt that was thrown over a nearby chair. You crawled over The Master and cuddled into his side with your head on his chest, just like you had when you were sick. The beats of his hearts gave you so much comfort to you then and now.

“Comfortable?” The Master questioned with a smirk.

“Very.”

“Good.” The Master adjusted a bit to open the book you had chosen and began to read.

You stared at him for a moment. His voice always made you feel so many things at once. There was a softness to it that always relaxed you. When he was excited, you could tell in his tone, and it always made you happy to see him joyful. You would always laugh when he would make a sarcastic comment about The Doctor in your ear, there was always jealous gravel laced in his speech. He always sounded so beautiful to you.

His soft yet slightly chapped lips moved steadily as he read the words of your favourite book. He was about to finish the chapter, and you moved impossibly closer to him. He finished the chapter with gravitas and made you excited for the next chapter even though you had read the book many, many times. He partially closed the book, one of his hands being used as a placeholder. You took his unoccupied stance as an opportunity to kiss his cheek in a moment of love and impulsiveness. A smile broke out on your face when you saw his flabbergasted expression. That was a look you had never seen on his beautiful face before.

“Why did you do that, Y/n?” He sounded scared and worried. Two feelings you never heard him express except for this morning.

“Because I wanted to, Master.”

“Don’t play with me, Y/n.”

“But what if you are so much fun to play with?” You teased and giggled. But The Master’s expression only darkened and grew more serious, so you dropped the joking attitude.

“What’s wrong, Master?”

“You don’t mean it. So, I don’t find your teasing funny.” The Master snapped his head back to the book, but only because he couldn’t look you in the eye as you rejected him.

“But I do mean it.”

“No, you don’t. Don’t pretend just to make me feel better.”

“Okay, I’m going to stop this before we just bicker back and forth. What will it take for you to believe me, Master?”

“I don’t know.” The Master mumbled sulkingly. You stared at him for a bit longer, upset by how defeated he looked. You moved to kiss his cheek, but you moved slowly to give him the opportunity to push you away. He didn’t move away, so you kissed his cheek again. Then his jaw, then his chin, then his nose, and then his forehead. You could feel his breath quicken and his hearts beat more rapidly.

When you looked back at him, he looked even sadder and broken than before. That was the opposite effect that you wanted.  You kissed his nose one more time then nuzzled your nose against his then placed your forehead against his forehead. He closed his eyes, relishing in the physical contact. Physical contact that he had never received so passion-filled before.

“You can read my mind if you want. If it will prove to you that I am genuine and that I do love you.” His eyes popped open when you said the word love.

“No. I don’t think I need to now.” You wouldn't have offered to have him rummage through your mind if you were lying.

You moved back, but The Master followed you. He brought his free hand up to cradle your face, occasionally his thumb would brush against your lips.

“Can I kiss you?” You nodded, smiling, and uttered a breathy ‘yes, Master’ before The Master softly pulled the two of you back together. His lips were as soft as they looked as they danced with yours. You regrettably had to pull away to breathe, though, but you giggled when you saw The Master smiling at you.

“I like seeing a smile on your face. Especially when I know that I am the cause of it.”

“I could say the same thing to you, Master.”

“Is this why you were late? Creating a little scheme in order to get me to kiss you?” You giggled again at The Master’s now proud and teasing attitude.

“Well, how else would I get you to kiss me?”

“You little minx!” The Master smirked before attacking you with neck kisses. You began laughing again when The Master’s attack caused you to fall backwards onto the sofa. The TARDIS made sure to lock the library doors and direct The Doctor and her companions away from the library that morning.

Okay, so I love Tolkien’s works. I grew up with them! My dad loved Tolkien and read me his works when I was a kid. But now I have a really hard time reading the books on my own, probably because I have ADHD and I can’t concentrate on anything.

But anyway, I constantly imagine Eddie Munson completely understanding my difficulty with concentrating on things, because I think that he also has ADHD. And he would totally help me with reading Tolkien’s works.

I love imagining being curled up together in a massive blanket in our underwear or pyjamas(boxers and a t-shirt) and reading Tolkien together. Or even Eddie reading to me!!!

He would make up unique voices and mannerisms for each of the characters! He would definitely make The Silmarillion more interesting because I really struggle to get through that one!

Later, Eddie would probably act out the scenes, eventually getting me to join him. There would probably be tons of inside jokes between me and him about Tolkien and the way he, and eventually me, acted some of the characters out and the voices we would do.

Ugh! I just want this sooo badly!

when you get this, please respond with five things that make you happy! then, send to your last ten people in your notifs (anonymously). you never know who might benefit from spreading positivity♡

1. Creative Media

I love music, movies, tv shows, art, books, fanfiction, I love it all! It always relaxes me and makes me feel better. I am so thankful to the people who make creative content (especially the fanfic authors!)

2. My family, friends, and my partner

They are literally some of the most supportive people I have ever met! I don't want to get too into my personal life, but I have been through a lot, and I used to not have the best people around me. But the people in my life now are so supportive and kind and have helped me so much. I am unbelievably thankful to have them in my life.

3. My cat Thomas

Very cute. Very cuddly. Loves ear rubs. And loves chancing balls of light and shadows. He is an adorable idiot and I love him!

4. Chocolate, mac and cheese, garlic bread

Three of my favourite comfort foods; some of my favourite things to eat after a bad day.

5. Cafes and Bookstores

Since the pandemic, I have had a really hard time going out without my anxiety spiking. I've been getting better about everything, but it was really bad at one point. However, going to cafes and bookstores, either in my hometown or on a day trip, really helped me get back used to going out again. I always found them comforting and I still do, but their calmness and atmosphere helped me a lot in the "post-pandemic" stage we are in. (I still think that we are in the middle of the pandemic, but the CDC apparently disagrees with me)

Sneaking In

Gomez!Master x Reader

Summary - Missy sneaks into The Doctor’s TARDIS and The Reader catches her.

Warnings - The Reader feeling a bit lonely and misunderstood by The Doctor, Bill, and Nardole, Missy feeling similarly

Word Count - 839

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Not Requested. Just a short thing that I thought of. I hope that you enjoy it!

------------------------------------------------------------

You walked the few lonely steps back to The TARDIS and stepped inside, the machine’s comfort immediately washed over you. That is until the smell of expensive perfume and nail polish hit your nose. Your head jolted up and you instantly caught sight of someone who was not supposed to be there.

“Aren’t you supposed to be in The Vault?”

“Aren’t you supposed to be with the Doctor?” Missy immediately retorted, curt and cold in order to mask jealousy growing in her hearts. Her eyes flitted up from her nails to your face before eventually returning to decorate and perfect her nails.

“I thought you hated it when I paid more attention to the Doctor than I did you?” You hit the metaphorical nail on the metaphorical head with that question. You assumed to know how the Gallifreyian before you had felt, but your only “evidence”, if you could call it that, were glances thought to be unseen and “accidental” touches that lasted a second longer than they should have.

Missy fell silent after that, caught both physically and emotionally, which Missy, most definitely, did not enjoy, and you could see it, too. The silence between the two of you carried on for just a bit too long. Each passing second compromised Missy’s resolve, her jealousy inching ever closer to being visibly written on their face.

“The Doctor knows, don’t they?” Missy laughed at that comment, thinking you to be a naive child, but Missy was also grateful that you offered a window for her to put on a new mask before the silence ate away at her old one.

“Of course, he doesn’t know, Y/n! The Doctor is slower than he cares to admit, and he is growing even slower with age.” Missy whispered the last half of the statement with a hand raised to her mouth in an act mimicking schoolyard gossip.

“Trust me, The Doctor does not know.” She finished her statement triumphantly and matter-of-factly, her most commonly used facade restored. You huffed, hoping to discover something new about the Gallifreyan you travelled with. Now you were just bored. There would be no adventure with the Doctor today, it was too late to go running after him and you could feel the TARDIS urging you to stay. But you still wanted something interesting to happen, not a dry conversation with a teasing Time Lady.

“What are you planning on doing then, Missy?” You leaned against The TARDIS console nonchalantly.

“I was planning on going through The Doctor’s things, but now that you are here … We could always go on our own adventure without that stuffy old fool!”

“But what if The Doctor needs The TARDIS?” You questioned.

“You know how this machine works. We can go have ten adventures back-to-back and return here long before The Doctor even notices that we disappeared!” You thought about what Missy was offering you for a moment. You could see the hopefulness laced in the corner of her eyes, but you tried to ignore her and just think about what you wanted for once.

“I guess we can go somewhere, then. But nothing too dangerous, Missy!”

“I would never dream of putting you in harm's way, my darling.” Missy quickly slithered from her seat and strutted over to where you stood. She quickly and dramatically typed the coordinates of where she wished to go onto The TARDIS console system. While the two of you waited for the ship to travel through the time vortex and arrive at your desired destination, Missy made you dance with her. She kept a hand firmly on your lower back; you could feel her pulling you closer to you every now and again. Missy then spun you around a couple of times before dipping you and leaning in incredibly close to your face. Suddenly, a bell from the console chimed.

“Oh look! We’re here!” Missy popped up to a standing position, bringing you with her. Missy went to open the TARDIS doors, but before she did that, she spun you around in a circle and left you dizzy by the console.

“Well come on, you silly sausage! We haven’t got all day.” You rolled your eyes at the Time Lady’s antics and dashed up to her. Missy flirtily held out her arm for you to take so she could guide you around the planet. You took it but ignored her attitude. You just wanted to have fun today, and not think about any ulterior motives the Gallifreyian might have. Missy then happily led you around the planet she took you to, showing you all of the most popular sights and more. It was a wonderful day.

But eventually, the trip had to end, so Missy piloted the two of you back to The Doctor’s location. Missy hid herself away and The Doctor, Bill, and Nardole were none the wiser of your impromptu trip with the supposed to be imprisoned Time Lady. Maybe Missy could offer you much more than The Doctor ever could.

Best Laid Plans Of Monsters and Masters

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Master follows the Reader after a scheme he created in order to get closer to the Reader.

Warnings - Stalking, the Reader being attacked but saved, general Master and Doctor Who shenanigans, me making up random alien species

Word Count - 2513

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Not Requested. There is some hint of a Dhawan!Master x Reader x Whittaker!Doctor relationship and tension between the three of them.

------------------------------------------------------------

It was about mid-afternoon on the planet SEK-217, the two suns were mostly covered by a thick overcast, but it was still a lovely day for an adventure and a lovely day for a scheme. The Master clicked open his fob watch to check the time. It wasn’t the same fob watch he was given by the leaders of Gallifrey, it was the one he had commissioned after he destroyed his home planet. He loved the look of them, but the wound of the Timeless Child was still fresh, and he didn’t want to carry any memorabilia of the past on his person.

You were late. The Doctor must have kept you and her mindless troop of fans trapped in one of her rambles. She was always playing host. It made The Master sick. He wanted to be the one to teach you about the Universe; he wanted to show you everything.

You didn’t know about The Master’s want, however. You didn’t even know that you were late for your appointment with him. You barely even knew who he was. You only heard vindictive whispers about him from Yaz and The Doctor.

The Master had infiltrated The Doctor’s TARDIS months ago, long before The Doctor had any sort of inkling that he had survived Gallifrey. He initially wanted to stalk The Doctor and figure out all of her companions' worst nightmares to use all of the information he gathered against them.

But The Master was distracted by you. He was surprised that you were still a companion. You were a fan of the more quiet adventures and all of the chaos of the recent adventures you went on were getting to you. The Doctor had tried to comfort you, but she was never able to fully calm you. The Master knew that he could take care of you better than she ever could.

The Master had grown fond of the idea of you and wanted to learn more about you.  He would sometimes sneak little notes and comfort items to you, but unfortunately, you always thanked The Doctor or The TARDIS, never him. He wanted to make you see him and realise that he was the one helping you. He wanted you to know that he would always be the one to help you.

He initially had problems devising a plan to get you alone. Since you started feeling the stress of the adventures and travels with The Doctor, the more she felt the need to surround you at all times. The Master thought that his Best Enemy was overcompensating, mostly to keep you around instead of leaving her. You seemed to like the company, but you kept your mind hidden telepathically from her, and subsequently The Master. He assumed that the reason was that The Doctor was also trying to read your mind and you put up mental protections. The Master’s hypothesis was practically confirmed when he felt The Doctor’s presence in Yaz’s mind. She must have moved on to someone less likely to fight back against the telepathic pushes. The Master could still sense The Doctor’s obsession with you. She needed to learn her place.

The Master felt The Doctor’s guilt. She hadn’t asked for consent and The Master found that to be weak of her. He was aware of the slight irony, but this whole process began as a villainous act, so consent wasn’t crucial for him to obtain at the time. That would spoil his fun. However, even if you hadn’t placed mental protections on your consciousness, The Master refused to look through your mind without you knowing. He had no moral objections to watching you but crawling through your most personal moments for his own pleasure, he would never do that unless you allowed him to. He wanted to learn about your truest self from you, not from snooping.

The Master eventually devised a plan to interact with you alone. He ended up enlisting the help of an old revenge partner. Wrez of the Kroakdeilians wanted to take revenge on the Allgars, a neighbouring kingdom to his kingdom. He had contacted The Master to help him. The Master helped because he too had a negative history with the Allgars. But Wrez tricked The Master, using his mind and equipment before turning on him. Now that Wrez had forced the people of Allgar and Kroakdeilia to follow his instruction, they protected him from being found by The Master.

However, Wrez was unaware of The Master’s ability to easily hypnotise anyone. The Master quickly hypnotised an underling to deliver a message of friendship and alliance to Wrez. Of course, this was a lie to get the Kroakdeilian on The Master’s side, but Wrez didn’t need to know that.

All he needed to know was that he would pretend to attack you once you arrived at the designated spot, but The Master would show up and stop him. Then The Master and he would pretend to fight each other, and The Master would win the pretend fight.

Up atop one of the hills of SEK-217, The Master looked at his fob watch once again. You had to be close by now. The Doctor couldn’t keep you forever. A bing sounded on his TCE, notifying him of your presence near the hill across from him where Wrez lay waiting. The Master sent a nod to his compatriot, who he would soon betray, to get ready.

You walked down the pathway, confused as to where Dan had gone. You knew that it wasn’t safe to continue alone, but you had to finish the task The Doctor gave you.

You walked toward two large cliff sides where the pathway you were on cut between them. There was a large enclave that cut into one of the cliff sides and the other cliff side abruptly cut off to a sudden drop to the sea of the planet below.

Suddenly, a Kroakdeilian jumped down before you, causing you to stumble back toward the wall of the enclave. The Doctor said that the only creatures on the planet should be the indigenous species, and she said that none of them were dangerous; a Kroakdeilian should not be here.

The creature swung an arm out to you menacingly which you somehow dodged, but then it pushed you back onto the ground with its other clawed hand. The creature loomed toward you. It blocked out one of the planet’s suns, which peaked out behind a gloomy cloud, with its tall, hunched and spiked shoulders. Just as the creature was about to dig its clawed hand into your vulnerable torse when it was then pulled back by a random force. It then let out a terrible, pained scream as it was shrunk to the size of a doll.

“Thank you! So much - Oh, it’s you.” You were happy to be saved but grimaced upon seeing The Master before you.

“No, I’m The Master, remember?” The Master chuckled as you groaned at his reference to his spy persona. You weren’t in the mood for jokes after almost being killed.

“What are you doing here?” You got up and dusted off your pants to avoid looking at him. He looked better than ever. You always found him to be a very attractive person, but it was clear that he was much more confident now.

“Just a bit of business.” You tried to question him, but he wasn’t forthcoming. He just kept smiling and looking at you, proud of himself for finally getting you alone and killing someone who betrayed him at the same time.

“Fine. Don’t answer any of my questions. I’m going now. Bye.”

“What? I don’t even get a thank you for saving your life?” You responded with a curt ‘no’ and then began walking in the direction you thought you came from.

“Wrong path there, love.”

“Shut up!” You shouted back towards The Master, quickly recorrecting your path while The Master chuckled behind you.

You quickly walked up the path and answered some texts from Yaz, Dan and The Doctor. You explained that you didn’t find what The Doctor wanted you to search for because you were attacked. They told you that they were headed your way to help you. You were going to text them that you were safe until you heard footsteps behind you. You turned around, fearful that the creature had returned somehow or wasn’t alone on the planet, but you only saw The Master tripping over his feet while he toyed with his TCE and another device that looked like a Human mobile phone.

“What are you doing?”

“Following you. Were your eyes damaged in the incident? If you think that you are hurt, I can give you a good once over.” The Master winked at you after eyeing you up and down. You huffed and turned away to hide your flustered face.

“No, I’m fine, obviously. But why are you still following me?”

“So you don’t get attacked by another monster, silly. Can’t return you to The Doctor if you have been torn to shreds, can we now?”

“Return me? I’m not her property or pet or whatever you think our relationship is like.”

“I like the sound of that.” The Master smirked and eyed you up and down again.

“Stop flirting with me.”

“Why? You like it and you know it!”

“I do no -”

“Y/n!”

“Doctor!” You spun away from The Master to see The Doctor and your friends running toward you. You heard The Master mutter something about cockblocking under his breath, causing you to roll your eyes. The Doctor shouted for the rest of her companions to get back behind her.

“What are you doing here, Master? Just give Y/n back unharmed and then we can talk.”

“All I am doing is protecting them, Doctor. I’m doing a better job than you ever could.”

The Doctor asked you what he was talking about, completely not believing a word he was saying. You explained how the creature attacked you while you were out searching for the place where The Doctor directed you and Dan before the two of you were separated. You continued to explain to her that The Master appeared and saved you from the creature, then followed you here to make sure you were safe. Your friends all erupted in a chorus of “what”s and “how is that possible”s and “why would he do that”s and “he’s evil”s.

“I’m standing right here!” The Master exclaimed.

“Yes, I can see that! But why are you here? Why did you save Y/n?” The Doctor continued to spew out questions, causing The Master to dramatically roll his eyes.

“You know, make everyone aware of all of the work I do to make Y/n feel safe.” Your friend group erupted into another chorus of ‘what’s.

“Now run along. Go play with The Doctor’s other pets.” The Master gently pushed you toward The Doctor.

“We aren’t her pets!” Yaz and Dan screamed in unison.

“Well, Y/n isn’t. But you two definitely are!” You shot The Master a vicious look because of his teasing, warning him to stop. He immediately stopped his berating comments and held his hands up in defence, but you knew he was only joking. The Doctor saw this and a million questions about the relationship budding between the two of you, but now, in front of him, was not the time for that. You were safe and the adventure was over because The Doctor and Yaz found whatever your alien host was looking for on their own. So, all of you could go back to the TARDIS and relax.

“We will be leaving now, Master. As long as you don’t have a little friend waiting in the wings to attack us. Might as well bring them out now, so both you and I can protect the people we care about.” The Master tilted his head up contemptuously at his old friend. He was shocked by her audaciousness and the fact that she always called him the supercilious one of the pair of them.

“You have a wild imagination, Doctor, and a lot of gall to think that I would ever collaborate with you. I don’t need you to help me. I can take care of Y/n by myself. Without looking through their mind, I might add.” The Master smirked when your head snapped to look at The Doctor, whose face began to turn a bit red. You tried to question her about The Master’s statement, but she all but ran to her TARDIS demanding for everyone to follow her.

You sighed and began walking toward the ship. You glanced back at The Master, hoping that he might allude to something more, but he was fiddling with his TCE and the Human mobile phone again. You slumped forward continuing to follow your friends, more consumed by your thoughts than your surroundings. Then you felt a notification go off on your phone. You removed the item from your trousers pocket, shocked to see a text from The Master.

“If you ever need me, for anything, just send me a quick text. I will always be ready to defend you.”

You turned back once again; you saw The Master smiling sweetly at you. You waved a goodbye, which he happily returned. Suddenly, he stopped, raising his hand in a matter-of-fact point before pulling out his TCE and his mobile phone once again.

“Also, there is no need to worry about The Doctor. I put protections on your phone, so she won’t be able to track any of these communications. Just wanted to make sure that you knew that this was a safe space.”

You quickly texted back, “Thank you, Master. And thank you for saving me today.”

“I will always do anything for you, and only you, my dear.”

“Y/n, come on! The Doctor wants to leave as fast as possible.” Yaz poked her head outside of The TARDIS, which you were leaning against to causally text The Master. You shot one final glance at The Master before clambering into the time and spaceship.

The Master watched and waited until The Doctor’s TARDIS dematerialized fully before heading back to his ship. He smiled down at his TCE, seeing the three dots informing him that you were typing out another text to him. He knew and accepted the fact that he still had a long way to work forward until the two of you could be together, but he made many successful steps today. And he could guarantee one thing: he planted the seed in your mind to help you lose faith in The Doctor today. Now it was just a waiting game that The Master was prepared to win.

On the journey back to his time and spaceship, The Master whistled and skipped gleefully. All the while tossing the miniaturised corpse of Wrez the Kroakdeilian up into the air and promptly catching it in his hand. He really couldn’t wait to see you again.

Rules: tag 9 people you want to get to know better

Tagged by: @praxeus-13 Thank you so much for tagging me! I'm sorry that it took me so long to get this done! Mental illness was really kicking my ass!

Favourite time of the year: Late autumn to the beginning of winter. It depends on the year, but I love seeing the trees turn orange and the feeling the air get colder. But I also really love snow and being all bundled up in sweaters. So, the transitional period between autumn and winter.

Comfort food: Oven-baked mac & cheese, cheddar and sour cream Ruffles, and Ben and Jerry's Phish Food ice cream. Also, so many depression meals that I won't name for your benefit.

Do you collect something: I collect a lot of things. I collect bottle caps, wine corks, aluminum can tags. Alcohol bottles, but that's because I want to break the glass and use it for art projects. I also collect those paper mug sleeves from Starbucks and other cafes and I will write the date I got my drink somewhere on in. Oh! And books! I have so many books. I want to eventually collect records, but I haven't started doing that yet.

Favourite drink: I drink a lot of black tea, but I do love a good chai latte. I will never pass up a raspberry lemonade or a Shirley Temple, though. My go-to alcoholic drink, though, is either a whiskey and coke or a blueberry Moscato.

Favourite song: Oh, so many! But here are a few: Heroes, by David Bowie, As The World Falls Down by David Bowie, Starcrossed Losers by The Fratellis, Told You So by The Fratellis, Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles, Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) by Kate Bush, Mayor of Simpleton by XTC, Enjoy The Silence by Depeche Mode, Origin of Love by Mika, The Origin or Love from Hedwig and The Angry Inch. Again, I have a lot more, but I will stop there.

Current favourite song: Miles From Nowhere by Cat Stevens, The Chain by Fleetwood Mac, Vienna by Billy Joel, King by Florence and The Machine, Master of Puppets by Metallica, Mary On A Cross by Ghost, a lot of Metallica and Ghost songs, No One Lives Forever by Oingo Boingo, also, a lot of The Cramps and Iron Maiden songs. Again, there are probably more, but I'll spare you me recounting my hours-long playlists.

Favourite fic: That definitely depends on the fandom. And I went off the songs, but I have a lot of fic recs! I could go into it more if anyone wants it. But I absolutely love the Knowledge trilogy by @13atoms! I highly recommend it if you love Dhawan!Doctor, like me.

Tagging: I don’t know who to tag because I’ve been gone for so long, and I feel rude tagging people out of the blue after being radio silent for so long. But anyone who wants to join in, please do! I would love to get to know you! :D

“What are you eating?” Missy questioned you as you entered the Vault.

“Chocolate. Why?” You broke off a large chunk, chewing happily while dancing a little dance over to where Missy sat on her couch.

“What kind of chocolate?” Missy seemed intrigued and you couldn’t really understand why. Once you swallowed the treat, you said that it was just a normal milk chocolate bar, but you had other flavours like dark and white chocolate, mint, caramel and sea salt. You were going to list even more flavours of chocolate you just bought from your trip to the store, but Missy interrupted, with a raised, tutting hand.

“No, no, no, what planet?” You gave a questioning look causing the Time Lady to sigh dramatically and enunciate her explanation concededly, which made her Scottish accent more noticeable.

“You know, what planet is the chocolate from? Gallifreyan chocolate, Adipose chocolate, Raxacoricofallapatorius chocolate?” You giggled at the idea of alien chocolate. The very common sweet had always seemed so Human to you.

“No, it's just Human chocolate.”

“Oh, I've never tried Human chocolate.”

“Wait really?” You were only slightly shocked. Missy had tried to take over Earth so many times that you thought that maybe she would have tried something Human before she destroyed the planet. However, she claimed to “hate” Humanity and everything revolving around Earth, so you understood why she wouldn’t want anything to do with Human chocolate.

“Before you, I’d never felt the need to interact with Human culture. I’ve always preferred Gallifreyan flavours or food from this one restaurant planet that I've been meaning to take you to. I swear that I will as soon as I get out of here. But is there any need for me to have Human chocolate? What if I hate it and become super cross with you? We wouldn’t want that, now, would we?” Through her rambled excuse as to why she wouldn’t want to try any of the sweets you had, Missy was unaware of you reaching forward with the open candy bar in your hand. Once she noticed, Missy only stared at you, dumbfounded.

“What? You actually want me to try Human chocolate? I love chocolate, but you want me to eat HUMAN chocolate?”

“Well, before, it sounded like you really wanted to try it. But if you really don’t want any, I guess that I will just have to eat it all by myself.” You broke another piece of chocolate off and plopped it into your mouth.

“No!” Missy screamed at you, making you recoil in shock. She never let her composure dissolve because of emotion, but she quickly regained her normal casual yet flippant attitude.

“No, I’ll gladly try it, but only to make sure that you don’t get a stomachache from all of the sweets, dearie.” You smirked at her obvious lie and Missy plucking the chocolate from your hand. She broke off a decent chuck and dropped it into her mouth. She made a face that tried to convey that she didn’t enjoy it, but you could tell she loved the sweet. Thankfully, she dropped the act quite quickly and began alternating between chewing and sucking on the chocolate in order to get the most flavour out of the chocolate.

Missy made, frankly, obscene noises when she continued to eat the piece of chocolate, making her face heat up slightly. She quickly broke off another piece, savouring the new taste. You asked if she liked it, part of you couldn’t tell if she was just overacting in a condescending manner or if she legitimately enjoyed the sweet this much. Missy was so consumed by the food that she didn’t even respond, she just nodded vehemently. She cleaned her mouth with her tongue, and then licked her fingers, making herself positive that she consumed all of the snacks before speaking.

“Imagine how amazing this already fantastic dessert would become if I were to cover you in it a lick it all off.” You were unable to respond, too embarrassed by Missy’s brashness to form a proper thought other than the image the Time Lady conjured in your mind. However, before you could utter a scrap of a thought from your flustered mouth, the loud clanking of The Vault opening drew you from your thoughts.

“Lick what off what, Missy?” The Doctor questioned, clambering into The Vault.

“Your blood from my heels if you don’t stop interrupting me and my lovely during our private time.” You could help but become even more flustered and look away from the equally embarrassed Doctor, as Missy smirked proudly at both of your reactions. She was fully intent on incorporating any and every flavour of chocolate into any and every part of your and Missy’s lives. When you looked into her eyes, you could see her formulating plans, but for the moment, you tried to listen to what The Doctor was saying to prevent your body from betraying you, even more than it already was, in front of him. But it would be a lie to say that your mind never slipped into thinking about what Missy was going to do with her newfound love of chocolate.

Warnings - just fluffiness, a bit of insecurity

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Requested on my old Tumblr account. Just wanted to reupload it on this one. I hope you enjoy this!

------------------------------------------------------------

You would sneak into the Vault quite often. It was a thrill to go against The Doctor’s orders. You usually didn’t rebel against his orders out of fear of being accidentally hurt by some vengeful alien on the warpath. But venturing down into the Vault didn’t seem to be that risky, despite what the Vault’s inhabitant proclaimed on multiple occasions.

“Do you think he knows about this?” You asked aloud, wandering around the Vault and gathering what you needed for afternoon tea. Thinking about it, you wouldn’t be surprised if The Doctor did know, he did seem quite perceptive, unlike Nardole, who claimed to be perceptive but was really the opposite.

“Would it matter if he did, dearie?” Missy spoke accusingly, with a hint of sadness that she tried hard to mask. She sat at the piano, trying to distract her quickening heartbeats with some soothing piano while you laid out a tea set with some snacks on a nearby table.

Your relationship with Missy was quite new and both of you had your own insecurities about it. You being Human put a strain on both of you and adding the fact that you were a friend and companion of The Doctor did not lessen any of those fears of fragility. Missy had tried to convince you to leave him. You would always counteract her suggestion with your fear that The Doctor might not allow you to see Missy ever again if you did what she asked.

“Not really, if he does know, he clearly does not mind me being down here, I just fear that he might blab to Nardole or Bill. Who, if you might have noticed, are not that fond of you. However, if he doesn’t know, it would be hilarious to see his face when he finds out!” You turned around after finishing setting up the tea set and snacks and leaned against the table.

“Would you mind if he knew, Missy?” Your tone was quiet, but pointed, causing Missy’s fingers to stop and her head to turn to you abruptly, mouth slightly agape. She knew what you were referring to, even though you never explicitly said it, you often felt inadequate compared to her and The Doctor, being just a mere Human, and becoming aware of her’s and The Doctor’s lifelong friendship did not ease your feelings of inadequacy.

“Dearie,” she stood and walked over to you, placing her hands on each side of your face, “of course I would not mind, quite the opposite, really.” She smirked devilishly, trying to fluster you, she loved seeing you embarrassed and flustered because of her words and actions.

“How about we eat the delicious food you brought for us today, and then, later, I will prove to you how much I care about you. Does that sound okay?” You nodded and let Missy peck your lips quickly before she pulled out a chair for you to sit.

You chatted over tea, trivial things, eager to not openly voice your discomforts about being so young and naive compared to two practically immortal beings. Though, Missy seemed very eager to discuss it, hinting at it every chance she got, hoping to wear you down until you broke and confessed what was on your mind.

The conversation did end up wandering onto The Doctor as you finished your tea and snacks. Missy had been more open about her childhood than you expected, or, at least compared to how little The Doctor talked about his past. Missy led you to a small sofa, gripping your hands tightly as she spun you around the room until you both reached your destination. She was vibrant and animated when talking about how, while at The Academy, she single-handedly vanquished a rogue brigade of Daleks and noted that The Doctor would tell a different story. One where he was more involved in the triumph instead of quivering in the corner like a cold puppy in the rain.

Upon reaching the sofa, Missy laid you down onto it, and she quickly followed suit before you could get up and complain. She wrapped an arm around your torso to keep you from falling off the edge.

“Missy, this sofa is too small for us to lay like this.” You giggled at her antics.

“Oh fine! I guess we will just have to adjust!” Before you could comment, she hooked her other arm underneath you and hoisted you up until you were laying on her chest.

“Better?” Missy questioned, smirking again upon seeing your flustered expression.

“Well, I guess it is better than the former position we were in.” You conceded, awkwardly moving and craning your neck. You were completely unaware of where to lay your head. Missy noticed you growing even more flustered and embarrassed at the situation, her smirk growing ever so slightly. She drew her hand up and gently pushed your head down toward her chest, giving her permission for you to lay your head there. Your flustered state only intensified, but you tried to focus on her heartbeats to lull you into calmness.

After a long silence filled with only the two of your breathing and Missy’s heartbeats, Missy spoke, “Y/n, I think we should talk about what has been bothering you.” Your breath hitched, you really didn’t want to talk about this, you were afraid that if the two of you discussed this then your relationship would end faster than you wished. You eventually asked why it was necessary.

Missy began combing her fingers through your hair, scraping her nails against your scalp in a circular motion

“The sooner we talk about this the sooner we can get through it together.”

“You will laugh. Or think that I am just being a stupid Human.” Missy immediately placed her hands on either side of your head to manoeuvre you until you were looking in her eyes.

“I might laugh as a coping mechanism to deal with shock, but I would never call you a stupid Human. You are the exception of the Human race.” Missy placed a reassuring kiss on your forehead before manoeuvring your head back to her chest. You took a deep breath before voicing your fears about your relationship with Missy; the age difference, the species difference, how you wanted to ask how important you were to Missy as she was to you, and how you didn’t want to be seen as an ignorant child because of how you little you knew compared to the Time Lady, how you didn’t know how your relationship with her could possibly compare to her relationship with The Doctor.

Missy dealt with your fears, one by one, reassuring you of the hold you had on her hearts and how your only foolish mistake would be if you were to deny her love of you. If you were to deny that fact, Missy made it painfully clear that she would break out of the Vault, steal The Doctor’s TARDIS and destroy however many galaxies it took until you got the message. She made it clear that even though the two of you would have many things to work through, she wouldn't want to be with anyone else.

All of Missy’s declarations of love were accompanied by Missy massaging your head and your back. These soothing acts and the repetitive calming drumbeats of her hearts and her soft words of love soon lulled you into a sound sleep. So sound, in fact, that you did not wake when The Doctor entered the Vault. Stopping in his tracks, he closed the Vault door when he saw the sight of you enclosed in the arms of his oldest friend. Missy smirked and mouthed a silent “hush, they’re sleeping” to the shocked Time Lord. Then Missy placed another kiss on your forehead. She was already laughing in her head about getting to see your reaction, once you woke up, about finding out that The Doctor didn’t know about you and Missy until he saw you sleeping in the Time Lady’s chest. And laughing at your reaction to knowing that you didn't get to see his surprised face. Missy couldn’t wait to see what the future had in store for the two of you.

Summary - The Master makes a demand that you don’t expect.

Based On This Request -

Warnings - canon typical violence, Master typical violence, me making up random alien species, The Master being obsessive, possessive and a bit of a yandere

Word Count - 1802

A/n - I think that I made this more of a gender neutral reader. This was requested on my old Tumblr by a lovely anon! I also made this bit of an AU, where all of Whittaker!Doctor’s companions are together travelling together. I hope that you enjoy it!

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master had devised yet another attempt to destroy thousands of civilizations of alien species and gain control over innocent people for his own gain. He infiltrated an intergalactic community, killed the leader of a planet within that community and then pretended to be said leader. He then staged a meeting of the presidents and leaders of the Intergalactic Federation. There, he could unleash a barrage of bombs onto the leaders, killing them all. Once they were all killed, The Master could easily set himself up as the ruler of that group of galaxies. He would have his little kingdom in space to do whatever he wished with. Including finally getting you to leave The Doctor and devote yourself to him.

But, of course, The Doctor created another brilliant plan to stop her best enemy’s devious plans. She had heard rumours of the prime minister of Miyalo going virtually radio silent. The only communications from the prime minister of Miyalo were to the Intergalactic Federation. So, that’s where The Doctor, her companions and you began to do some research. The Doctor ended up wishing that she had begun researching the rumours of the silent prime minister of Miyalo sooner rather than taking you and the rest of her companions to Space Paris for a quiet getaway.

The Master was already set up and prepared to kill thousands. A legion of ships were filled to the brim with bombs ready to drop on the Intergalactic Federation Base below. All explosive-carrying ships were being led by a flagship being piloted by The Master. Once over the base, he could press one button and unleash the bombs upon the base. The Doctor had to act quickly before The Master reached his destination on the planet.

The Doctor tracked her old friend’s presence to the control room of the ship. The Doctor and Yaz set out to the artillery room of the ship to deactivate the bombs and cause a malfunction to travel throughout the fleet of ships, so The Master would not be able to release them. The Doctor then sent Graham and Ryan to the base to try and force the leaders staying at the Intergalactic Federation Base to leave the planet. And finally, The Doctor sent you and Dan to talk to The Master and try and get him to stop all of this. It was a triple fail-safe plan, as The Doctor described.

You and Dan ran to the console room of the ship. You ran faster than your friend down the halls of the large ship, holding the interior floor plan of the ship, that The Doctor sent to your phone, in front of you. But when you turned around to see if Dan was running behind you, you saw that you were alone in the halls. You were about to run back to try and find Dan, but you distantly heard The Master shouting at a machine for not working fast enough. It was reckless to face off with him alone, but this wouldn’t be the first time you’ve done so. You knew that you needed to stop him in order to save all the individuals on the planet below. You’d risk an argument with The Doctor if it meant that you helped save the lives of thousands. You ran toward the console room of the alien flagship, slowing down the closer you got to it.

You crept into the room and saw The Master pressing buttons and pulling levers with malice. You ghosted forward, not entirely sure how you were going to get through this situation by yourself. You were second-guessing yourself now that you were actually alone with the rebel Time Lord. Maybe he wouldn’t be as willing to cooperate with you as he was like the last time.

“Well, well, well … Look who’s finally arrived.” The Master slowly turned to look at you, leaning against the edge of the ship’s console. You took a deep breath and pushed your fear down and ignore the Time Lord’s flirtatious undertones.

“Stop all of this Master!”

“And why should I do that, love? Just because you asked me to? I don’t think so.” The Master strutted toward you, highlighting his mocking and teasing tones with judging faces and looming gestures. He always inched forward and pointed his finger at you whenever he wanted to make an impression.

“That worked last time, though.” This caught The Master off guard. He could sense your uneasy nature and did not expect you to be this confrontational with him. He did enjoy the banter, though.

“So, The Doctor sent you to me as a distraction. So, she and her little pets can defeat me behind my back while you have my full attention. It’s a good plan. You are an impeccable distraction, but you and your pesky friends won’t be able to stop my genius plans this lime, love.”

“Just stop this, Master. Please. You don’t have to do this!”

“But don’t I? My previous plans failed, but now I actually have a chance to succeed without any consequences.”

“But you would be killing your oldest friend and so many innocent people! That sounds like many consequences to me.”

“None of them matter to me! Just you. And with you out of the way of the bombs and the artillery room, I can finally destroy my best enemy! And I get the opportunity to flirt with you uninterrupted and become an incredibly powerful leader of an intergalactic community in the process. That’s an all-around win in my book!”

“You can’t do this! This isn’t worth it. You can flirt with me uninterrupted any time and not kill anyone!” You hoped that appealing to The Master’s romantic side might help your case. Even though the Time Lord took a moment to consider your offer, he moved back toward the console of the ship and prepared the deploy button.

“Try me.” The Master hovered his hand over the deploy button dramatically. You hadn’t received a message from The Doctor. You had no idea if she had done what she said that she would do. You knew that you would need to do something incredibly risky and vulnerable to distract and stop the threatening Time Lord before you. The Master moved to press the button.

“Please, please, I’ll do anything!” You screamed out to him causing The Master to pause and fully consider the possibilities of what you were offering.

“Anything?”

“Anything you want.” The Master chuckled before staring you down and stalking back toward you. He loomed closer to you than ever before. You could feel the heat of his breath on your face and neck as he stalked around you in a circle. You felt like prey caught in a predator’s sight. The only difference is that you, completely out of your mind, consented to be caught. You convinced yourself that this was a good idea. Once he was facing you again, The Master bumped his nose against yours and brought a hand up to caress your face. He smirked when he felt you flinch away from the surprisingly soft gesture,

“Kneel.” The Master whispered against your lips. You sighed, you expected that The Master would act this way, but it still made you uncomfortable. You needed to save The Doctor, though. So, you kneeled before the renegade Time Lord. The Master stepped back to get a good look at you in this position. You clenched your jaw in distress when you saw the raw hunger in The Master’s eyes; you had never been looked at so wantonly before.

“Call me by my name.”

“Master.” You whispered. Your eyes fluttered around the room, hoping for any sign of The Doctor coming to save you.

“Can’t hear you, love.”

“Master.” You said more forcefully.

“Oh! I love hearing you say my name! Say it again.” The Master jumped up and down clapping his hands rapidly before bending down to look in your eyes more closely as you said his name again.

“Master.” The Master smiled more manically than you have ever seen. You felt so defeated and degraded, but you couldn’t deny your immense curiosity for what The Master had in store for you. To your surprise, The Master, knelt down before you so the two of you were now level and equal.

“Now, my good little Human, you will be coming to live with me on my TARDIS.”

“What?”

“You said that you would do anything, didn’t you?”

“Yes, I just wasn’t expecting that request.”

“Not a request. A demand, love. Now I suggest that you get up and follow me to my ship.” The Master jolted up to gain some control again. His tone darkened to a growl to highlight his point. He held out his hand for you to take when you didn’t immediately stand to join him.

“And you will stop your plan to kill The Doctor and the people of the Intergalactic Federation?” The Master didn’t respond. He only cocked his head to the side as a warning and held out his hand closer to you. Somehow his eyes grew even more intense, demanding and possessive. You took one more deep breath before softly placing your hand in his awaiting palm. The Master instantly clamped his hand around yours in an unyielding hold. He pulled you to your feet in a swift motion, causing you to fall into The Master’s sturdy chest. The Master has a brazen smile etched deep into his face as he secured his other hand on the small of your back, keeping you firmly against his chest.

“You’re mine now, love. Forever and always. Mine. And nothing could ever make me let you go.” The Master let go of his tight grip on your hand and surprisingly gently, compared to his previous movements, cupped your head and placed a delicate and meaningful kiss on your temple before manoeuvring your bodies into a hug. For some reason, you didn’t feel the need this time to flinch away from his movements.

Just as The Doctor and her companions broke through all of the defence mechanisms The Master placed on the flagship’s console room door, you and The Master teleported to his TARDIS. You never saw them. You never saw your friends’ confused faces. You never saw the lost and defeated look on The Doctor’s face when she saw you wrapped up in The Master’s arms. But The Master saw it all and he would cherish those images for the rest of his days. He relished in the fact that he finally stole you away from his best enemy. You were completely his now. And true to his word, he was never going to let you go. Even if you wanted him to. You agreed to anything after all.

Dhawan!Master x Reader

Summary - The Master joins you in bed after a day of his plans failing. He’s soft and wants to be close to you.

Based On This Request -

image

Warnings - Nothing, just fluffy goodness.

Word Count - 1409

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. This request was submitted on my old Tumblr account, but this is the second thing I wrote based on this prompt. I just got another idea and I had to write it. I hope that you enjoy it!

------------------------------------------------------------

The Master didn’t like being seen as weak, but he knew that you were his weakness. He knew that he needed you. You were his other half. You made him better. You never once asked him to change, despite the fact that you never wanted to kill or manipulate people or planets. You were always there for The Master when he was stressed about his plans for universal domination or when something he was tinkering with wouldn’t work out just right. The Master needed you, always and forever. He needs you.

It was so easy for The Master to be filled with hate. He loved hurting people, he loved revenge plans and plots, but he never felt hate towards you. He loved you. The Master loved you more than the hate that filled his life before the two of you were together. He hadn’t told you his feelings yet. He was always bad at that, telling you his feelings, but you always treated him with kindness and patience. You never pressured him to do things out of his comfort zone. That just made The Master love you more, though.

Being in love with you made The Master anxious. He couldn’t remember being in love before. He might have been, but it was easy for him to imagine that he had never been in love before. When he first met you, he was overcome with a wave of protectiveness all aimed at you. He hated the fact that The Doctor spent their time picking up random Humans, but mostly out of jealousy about the fact that he didn’t have anyone. However, The Master hated seeing you with The Doctor because he knew that she would get you killed. The Master couldn’t understand why he felt such protective feelings, but he decided to not ignore them and to seek you out.

Over the months of the two of you interacting, both of you grew closer and you left The Doctor, under conditions, of course. You accompanied The Master as a friend, but that obviously expanded to a more romantic connection. Now the two of you were months deep into a committed relationship, but he was unable to tell you how much he loved you. The Master wished to be better for you, though. You were always there for him, and sometimes he felt as if he needed to be there for you more than he was. Especially to be there for you in more emotional and emotionally intimate circumstances.

The Master looked over his console to check the time. It was about five in the morning, Earth time, so you would still be fast asleep. The new machine he was trying to build wasn’t working out as he wished it to, and his new plans had a massive plot hole in them that he didn’t know how to fill. He was incredibly frustrated, and his brain felt as if there was a fog shifting heavily through it, clouding over the information he was trying to seek out.

The Master didn’t require as much sleep as you did, but, in the past, cuddling with you always calmed him down and helped him think. Either wrapping himself around you or being held securely by you somehow managed to always cause things to fall into place in his sometimes disordered mind. So, The Master cleared up his little work area as much as he could and walked down to your shared bedroom.

The Master slowly and quietly entered the room, so as to not wake you. Upon seeing you, The Master smiled. You were cocooned, in the middle of the bed, in the purple comforter that the two of you shared. Your head was laying more on his pillow than yours. You looked incredibly content. The Master silently took his shoes off, then his clothes, leaving him in only his underwear and socks, then climbed in beside you.

You were only wearing his old black hoodie, from one of The Master's previous regenerations, and underwear. Your skin felt cold under The Master’s touch, you should have worn some pyjama pants or socks or something warmer. The Master cuddled up behind you, nuzzling his face into your neck. He brought his arm around you and placed his hand over your heart to feel it beating. He loved doing this. It reminded him that you were alive and that you were real and with him right now.

You stirred a bit because of the warmth of his hand on your chest and mumbled some incoherent words and phrases. The Master tried to hold you a bit tighter in an attempt to not wake you. It worked for a moment; the pressure of The Master’s body around you brought you comfort in your sleep. However, you stirred out of your sleep due to the change in temperature of the bed.

“Master?” You tried to turn around, but The Master’s arms were placed firmly around you.

“Go back to sleep, love. It’s too early for a Human like yourself to be awake.” You were still tired, but you loved being in his presence, so naturally, you wanted to keep talking to him.

“When do you come to bed?”

“Only a couple of minutes ago. I tried to not wake you up.”

“You’re so warm, though.” You successfully turned around in The Master’s arms this time, after prying his arms off you momentarily. Your eyes were still closed, but you moved to kiss his face haphazardly. The Master smiled and chuckled at your sleepy state, and he pulled you closer to his chest until you were practically laying on top of him.

You kissed The Master’s face, neck and chest, and any part of him that you could reach, every once in a while, as you asked him some questions about his day. The two of you had spent the majority of the day apart because he was busy with his newest scheme, and you were trying to plan a party for your best friend on Earth.

“What were you doing? Did you finish that one thing?” The Master was shocked that you could form somewhat coherent sentences when it was obvious that you were still in a sleepy haze, but he was willing to talk until the two of you became so sleepy you couldn’t speak anymore.

“No, I think I tried too hard to push a thought-cube into a gravity converter and the whole machine I was working on didn’t appreciate the change either.” The Master caressed his hands up and down your back beneath the hoodie you stole.

“I’m sorry. I’m sure you will think of something. You always do. You are so smart.” The Master smiled as he felt you nuzzle into his neck again. His feelings were bubbling up again. He didn’t feel like he could hide them anymore. And if you didn’t respond well, you probably wouldn’t remember because of how tired you were. So, The Master thought that this would be the best time to reveal his true feelings.

“Can I tell you something, Y/n?”

“You can tell me everything, Master. I will always be here for you.”

“I love you.” You opened your eyes and smiled up at The Master.

“I love you, too. I have for a while.”

“Me too. I should have told you earlier.”

“Yes! Yes, you should have!” You suddenly popped up from where you were cuddling into The Master’s chest and pecked him on the lips. The Master chuckled, kissed you again and then returned the two of you back to a cuddling position.

“Let’s go to sleep, yeah? Then see where the new day takes us?”

“That sounds lovely, Master.” You shifted slightly to kiss his cheek one more time, and then you nuzzled back into his chest, occasionally kissing him there before eventually falling asleep. The Master fell asleep soon after you, holding you tightly to his body.

The two of you slept soundly until around midday in Earth time. Neither of you always got the privilege of a quiet, domestic life together. You both enjoyed your hectic life in space, travelling throughout time and hopping from adventure to adventure. But both of you appreciated the softer moments of your lives together, given how rarely they happened. You loved each other so much, and sometimes spending a morning in bed together was all the two of you needed to make a day memorable.
