We don't know what's down there. We don't know what's gotten into their heads that makes them so determined to physically, personally go down there to find out. But I wouldn't entirely dismiss the possibility that whatever has gotten into them is very invested in getting eaten by whatever is down there.

If you like Sonic/Shadow, I highly recommend reading “When Did It Change?” By Fragmented_Rose on AO3, it’s not completed but it’s updated recently so I believe the author is still planning on finishing it. It’s an incredible slow burn with 200,000+ words so far and it’s had me in a chokehold for the past week and may have made me want to start re reading it right away I’m so serious about this lol

Danny is late 20’s-early 30’s. He’s at the height of his power and he’s seen some stuff. Danny climbs the job ladder until he is the Head Engineer at Wayne Tech.

Clark absolutely plays it up when he meets little kids dressed like Batman in Metropolis, referring to them as his old friend and making them ecstatic. He also has a habit of helping any little Robins he finds do flips.

Batman runs into little Supermans in Gotham and sends Clark photos of them from his lenses captioned with things like, "On the job for six years and already better than you" or answering questions about Supes like "Yes I am his boss."
