I get why most people tend to like or take a preference to river otters or sea otters, but I feel like we don't talk enough about how the giant otter, aka. the Pteronura brasiliensis species, is pretty much the unhinged version of them.

But it's funny to me to compare them with the existence of the Ariranha and they look like... this:

Having NPD sucks ass because if you open up about your worldview people clown on you for “being edgy” and if you talk about how you hate the stigma people tell at you because “there is no stigma” and if you mention you have NPD people call you a monster who can’t care about other people by nature.

There is literally NO way to win if you ever want to talk about it because you will only be told that you are not stigmatized for it while those same people telling you that use the same stigma to bully and judge you for it.

This is for the "Caitlyn has no reason to be traumatised" crowd. Ok, things in the end didn't go this way, but still... she spent almost 24 hours in Jinx's hands. We have no idea of what exactly happened in that time between the two of them. What we do know, though, is that Caitlyn was absolutely terrified.

I love Jinx, I truly do. But this isn't something anyone would be able to get over with.

Also, let me tell you something, since you don't seem to get it: trauma isn't objective. Response to trauma isn't objective. People might be forever traumatised by something others would forget rather soon. So even if this was the "only" thing that had happened to Caitlyn, you have no right to say that others had it worse.

Do not claim to be a mental health advocate or a safe space for the mentally ill if you demonise systems, cluster B personality disorders and/or psychotic disorders.

I still don't necessarily think Jinx and Ekko straight up had sex offscreen, but I saw someone make an excellent counterpoint to the objection that Jinx wasn't in the right mindset for that/Ekko wouldn't have "taken advantage" of her.

The counterpoint being: All of Arcane's love scenes are kinda fucked up anyway.

Mel and Jayce's scene is intercut with Viktor dying and being the subject of nonconsensual blood magic. Vi and Caitlyn getting cozy on Caitlyn's bed is interrupted by a smash-cut to Jinx being revived in a torturous medical crime. Everything about the Caitlyn/Maddie relationship is upsetting and deliberately played to be upsetting. And Vi and Caitlyn finally have sex in Jinx's jail cell while Jinx is on her way to kill herself (I don't actually have much of a problem with this like a lot of people do, but c'mon, they were definitely leaning into the kink there).

So Ekko and Jinx getting it on while she's still kind of maybe suicidal is honestly pretty tame by comparison.
