Draft and schedule emails
Review existing literature on my PI's current research direction
Review previous NSF GRFP applications
Look into other national fellowships (listed)
Brainstorm about personal statements + project proposals
I've unfortunately fallen off my daily journaling/work routines the last few months, and I'm working on getting myself back into good habits. Today, my main goal is to schedule all my emails to other PhD programs their declining offers of admission. I just finalized everything with my chosen program this week, and the April 15th decision deadline is looming. I feel terrible for dragging my feet on communications, but I want to make sure I send personalized emails to each professor I interviewed with. I know this is part of the process, but I still hate disappointing people.
On the upside, I've already set up my graduate school accounts, put together a preliminary schedule of my classes in the fall, and set up my new email. I'm eager to get back to work

you may not want to exercise, but you like how you feel afterwards and how it makes you confident
you may not want to journal or write, but you like the reflection and calm it brings you
you may not want to step out of your comfort zone, but you like the new experiences and growth you gain from it

09.03.2025—a semi-productive weekend. trying to find a balance with taking time off and getting work done because there’s lots to do
[01/05] life has been so peaceful lately. (maybe because I have been neglecting the 7 courses I have to attend to. maybe).
All the things that made my life full—sciences, not the least of them—an ever-unfolding journey of discovery where every question opens a new world of answers

Coffee this morning - reading ‘On writing well’ by William Zinsser.
Watched a webinar on GI pathologies and pulmonary fibrosis.
Did some data/SQL review.
life has been very crazy and so not productive these past couple of weeks. i hit an all time high for burnout this year so I took some time off work *intending* to be productive and do school but I just ended up resting and reading most of the time with some school mixed in.
i've also started a new non-fiction book, adopted a cat, and started tae kwon do classes again. i used to do it when i was younger and got my first degree black belt when i was 14 :) it's somewhat healing my inner child but anything to get out of the house these days.

2025, week 7 (feb 10th - feb 16th) 👩💻
another week of ups and downs. hang in there, friends.
accomplishments this week:
I did two more presentations at work, now I am finally done with those for a little while lol
I finished going through the modules for the NVIDIA cert, now I just have to study and pass the exam
I finished going through the first chapter of my ham radio study book. it's been a hot second since I've taken a physics course, but luckily I'm mostly remembering it as I go
highlights this week:
I've continued to drink copious amounts of tea
I made a trip to a local electronics store to get some parts for a project
I read a bunch and added some new entries to my commonplace book
