This is the best use of an otherwise dull day. I found myself emotionally invested in their defeats and their final triumph. And what I loved most is that although they were in competition with one another to be the first to make a strike against their blue Solo cup adversary, they celebrated the win together, and, equally, bemoaned the misses and near-misses of one another. On a more metaphysical level (sorry to go deep here, but it is with purpose that I do so...), the encouragement that each man had for the other blossomed out of competitiveness to transmute into solidarity against uncontrollable forces, and that encouragement, in my estimation, sent new gamma waves of creativity, inventiveness, and positivity (that the NEXT attempt made by either man would be THE ONE) with such magnitude and force that it not only achieved the goal but reached out beyond the confines of the video to me, a singular audience member, to instill a highly vibratory, immensely happy and positive energy response when the cups fell.

This is what we all should be doing for one another, rather than the bitter Betty bullshit and the gnashing of teeth at one another just because our perspectives don't always align, the trend that seems, sadly, to be the norm these days.

Thank you, gentlemen, for the lesson, the laughter, and the energy. Much appreciated!

It always amuses me to see the emotionally unstable become more unstable when they don't get the things that they demand. It's like watching a tantrum-prone child just start turning red and shaking and drooling and screaming until they pass out or rupture blood breaks in their face. It's disturbing to see the first time, but after the fifth or sixth time, the novelty has worn off and is rather boring. Same thing with this latest incarnation of SJW, this brigade that's appointed themselves to be the militant guard who will take down capitalism and institute mandatory socialism, even if it means giving up their rights to start turning red, shaking, drooling, and screaming when the stormtroopers began rounding everyone up and sticking them in little boxes...

Go ahead, boycott everything, stage sit-outs (the more impactful protest where one turns their back on society and waits it out in the desert), and withhold your brilliance and beautiful screeching voices from the world and the bad people in it, until those bad people are driven to their knees and capitulate, and the perfect world you've demanded is magically and dutifully dropped at your precious feet.

It Always Amuses Me To See The Emotionally Unstable Become More Unstable When They Don't Get The Things

We miserables will have to learn to manage, somehow, without you...

Regardless of the white noise pollution that coughs up from the frothing crowd, this collaborative work was brilliant, imaginative, funny, intelligent and some of the best music I've encountered today. Superior stuff. This is what the Internet is for me. Keep the bullshit politics, posturing, and the stench of the roiling cesspool generated by people who like to swim stick waters, and just give me art, literature and beautiful, provocative music.

Scientists Have Observed Octopuses "Punching" Fish Silly
Mental Floss
Researchers at the University of Lisbon have confirmed that octopuses will not hesitate to check a fish by smacking it senseless.

Already knew that... I have witnessed it scuba diving off Panama City, FL. I would love to have the reckless abandon and impunity of these mollusks sometimes...

I do think, however, that there is a deep-seated reason for the aggression, and it stems from the very likelihood that it could wind up as calamari. Solution: Punch a fish in the face, knock its ass out and maybe offer it up as an alternative dinner choice to a seafood aficionado. (I don't think it will work, but I like the way they think...)

While the OP had some strong sentiment about the renovations of this church (which I respect, even though I'm of a different mind and perspective), I think this shows creative intent and energy. The success of this project is purely subjective, but I feel like the goal point of the re-imagined church project is the altar-turned-kitchen. As I think of it, kitchens are generally the soul of a home, the place within a dwelling where the family that resides within gathers to prepare meals or grab snacks, but lingers therein to commune and share the day and its encounters and adventures. This is what family and togetherness means to me, personally, and those things are gifts from God. So what better place to house this than the altar-turned-kitchen.

I posted this church before, when it was first listed in its original state. It’s a 19th century church, built in 1871 and situated in Middleton One Row, County Durham, England. Usually someone will buy a church, clear it out, and furnish it as-is, or they’ll remodel it. This one was bought by a developer who completely redid it and is selling it for “offers in excess of £1,000,000.”

I Posted This Church Before, When It Was First Listed In Its Original State. It’s A 19th Century Church,

So, first off, how about a working antique pipe organ in the kitchen? Apparently, there’s a secret “organ room” behind it, which is a great hide & seek place (It’s probably creepy, though. Have you ever seen the workings of a big ol’ pipe organ?)

Clearly, this was formerly the altar.

This is where the pews were, and it’s called an “open plan” living room, but to me, it looks like a basement, and I hate the indoor/outdoor carpet. He also added floors to the structure, so this is no longer open and the original high cathedral ceiling is gone.

Stairs were added to access the upper bedrooms (there are 6) and this is not an attractive area. The owner gutted the property and has renovated everything.

The developer made 3 levels out of one huge church, so as you can see here on the 2nd fl., the windows are cut in half by the floor.

While he saved a lot of the original features and relocated them mostly to the kitchen, I don’t like the levels wiping out the windows and I really don’t like the “open plan” living room. I guess I just like when people live in a church as it is, making only minimal adjustments.

I just figured out what kind of star I am: a white dwarf star. I am confident in this assertion because of one personal fact: I too am made of degenerate material. (But, thankfully, I'm not as big as the Earth. That would really put a damper on my social life...)

So regarding a question before: whats the difference between a White dwarf and a Neutron Star?

A star with up to 10 solar masses gives rise to a white dwarf. A star with more than 10 solar masses gives rise to a neutron star.

A white dwarf is made of degenerate material and is about the size of Earth.

So Regarding A Question Before: Whats The Difference Between A White Dwarf And A Neutron Star?

A neutron star is more compact and dense, it is made up of practically 95% neutrons.

So Regarding A Question Before: Whats The Difference Between A White Dwarf And A Neutron Star?

It has an average of 20 km in diameter only. The magnetic fields of neutron stars are more intense than that of a white dwarf.

Lunatic Poetry was the order of the past few nights:

4/⁰3/²0²2:

"Sometimes I just can't..."

Charcoal dawn, purple sunset

Beautiful and distracting, dizzying...

When I should sleep I know not

All I can think of is where you are...

My compass is broken,

the magnetism tuned to foreign poles...

So I'll wander about until you whisper...

Then I'll be whole...

...I hope...

A stream of silver clouds now, above, carrying a question: Is this your game, or is it mine?

Answer: I won't know until you kiss me that one last time...

Another: Which of us owns the other, I wonder...

You reply: the memory of your smile... and I begin swimming again... or drowning... not sure which...

Autonomic reflex embroiled in a battle with the hunger of a starving heart...

I live this battle every second,

To the point that it defines me...

My heroin...

I scream, long and silent:

Fuck you! Fuck you! Fuck you....

Then, in supplication: please fuck me just one more time...

... for old time's sake...

Please...

...

It's crude, but then, again, love is brutal and rapacious...as is my appetite for every atom of you...

[Note: I don't know what it all means. I was held captive by the crashing words and could do little else but grip the pen with a shaking hand and tears in my eyes. I swear I wasn't inebriated in that time of writing, but I can't swear that I was sane. Still, it stirs something in me to know it issued forth from some part of me, a part I thought maybe dead, but at least dormant for the past five or six years. It felt good to pour out verse. And I knew I had to share it...

Thank you for indulging me by reading this.

Closing note: I think I may have been possessed by the ghost of Charles Bukowski, now that I think of it...]

Come to think of it, that's a perfect pet. It is solitary and goal-driven, just looking to break its own record for constant food consumption, racking up the steps, and being aloof. Consider "owning" such a pet: no walking, cleaning up after it (it eats poo, so...), and it is content to wander all day, aimlessly. It is minimal in its disturbance of the surrounding environs, and when someone DOES happen to notice it, it is nonplussed, and just keeps doing its thing. Its motto: I'm doing my thing, and if you have a problem with that, then fuck off... or not...

I Think It's Absurdly Funny That The Associated Press Runs Politically Motivated Stories Like The One

I think it's absurdly funny that the Associated Press runs politically motivated stories like the one pictured above but then has the absolute bald-faced temerity to censor anyone (like me) who disagrees with the article, citing "Community Guidelines" as the basis of their silencing opposing views and opinion. That's my comment below, and it never even made it off the launch pad.

I Think It's Absurdly Funny That The Associated Press Runs Politically Motivated Stories Like The One

The Associated Press is one of those Leftist propaganda outlets whose alleged support of the 1st Amendment is as laughable as the Washington Post's tag line, "Democracy Dies in Darkness". That gem began appearing below the newspapers banner in February, 2017, after President Trump took office. For most reading it, I think it was supposed to be some kind of virtue signaling by that rag paper, with the subtle nudge to the reader being that the Post would be a shining light against tyranny and despots. I, however, see that line not as a beacon of hope in an ever darkening world, but more as a prophecy made by one of the engineers of Democracy's demise. They're straight up telling people what they've been doing and what their aim is in the 21st century. And the same goes for the New York Times and its "All the News That's Fit to Print," meaning it will only ever publish "news" that generally supports agenda and rarely sorts truth and integrity. The Times tag line should be changed to "All the News That's Shit to Print"; that would be a good start if they ever want to start reporting actual honest, straightforward news and information.

Truer words are seldom spoken...

Another year, more disappointments. Live keeps moving whether you're living it well or poorly. Birth, death, friends lost, hopes faded and hope rekindled. Do you feel neglected? Abused by reality? It's easy to blame others for your lack, but that doesn't overcome your misery. The answers to your life are within yourself. You won't find them if you don't risk the search. At least pretend to be a famous explorer and go deep into the jungle that is you soul. If you seek, you will find things, and even if they aren't what you think you want, consider them more deeply, and you will find clues to what you should be searching for.

Shared from Bing: Missouri station offering Russian state radio to listeners

Missouri station offering Russian state radio to listeners
MSN
LIBERTY, Mo. (AP) — A man who runs a little-known, low-budget radio station in suburban Kansas City says he is standing up for free speech a

I see that USA Today, that venerable proponent of free speech and truth, has decided to do the heavy lifting in the morality department, posting this story that originated with the equally fair and neutral Associated Press, in a move designed to secure Constitutional freedoms for a small radio station. In no way does national reporting like this on the topic of a tiny broadcasting company put this man up in the cross hairs. Neither did the statement made by National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt who said the organization is a “fierce defender" of free speech but that given Russia's unprovoked attack on Ukraine, ”we believe that our nation must stand fully united against misinformation and for freedom and democracy across the globe." So, in essence, LeGeyt endorses the suspension of free speech and freedom of the press here in the US to promote global freedom. But if similar organizations around the world do the same thing, then haven't they effectively destroyed those very freedoms?

Folks, it's a dangerous game that's being played in this country and other nations where information is only information if it meets the approval of talking heads, questionable government, and political puppeteers. This smells like the stench of encroaching fascism the likes of which dwarf the work of the Axis powers of World War II, Chairman Mao's regime, and all the other dictatorial powers of the 20th and early 21st century combined. And embracing it is tantamount to suicide...

My question now is whether this man is now guilty of involuntary manslaughter...

There I was, sitting at the bar, staring at my drink, when a large, troublemaking biker steps up next to me, grabs my drink, and gulps it down in one swig. “Well, whatcha’ gonna do about it?” he says menacingly.

I burst into tears. “This is the worst day of my life,” I say. “I’m a complete failure. I was late for a meeting and my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found that my car had been stolen and I don’t have any insurance. I left my wallet in the cab I took to get home. At home, I found my wife with another man. Then my dog bit me. So I came to this bar to work up the courage to end it all. I bought a drink and dropped a suicide capsule in it. Then, after all that, as I sat down here watching the poison dissolve, you come in here and drink the whole damn thing!

If you doubt that fascist Leftists are at work everywhere in the US and most of the rest of the world, here's the best argument.

I have nothing against anyone in the transgender world, but this is wrong. And I love how these insane progressives toss out the phrase "Follow the science" to force upon the world their wasteful climate change schemes that just make them richer but do little to affect rising temperatures, soil depletion, and devastating drought (gotta protect Big Food Corporations, right? ), but refute the science of biology when it comes to this new special interest that they are going to milk for votes, funding, and agenda. This is a travesty...
