"i love you" is old, it's tired.
"i love my motorcycle. it's the purest form of freedom i have ever experienced. it's easily the best purchase of my life and i've never regretted it, not for one second because i love my motorcycle; but ever since i met you, i've been thinking about buying a car" is fun, it's fresh.
out of character but i think he should be allowed to do this
out of frame is anya preparing a salt and lime solution for his wounds and swansea mysteriously losing his OTHER hammer
Can’t write nalu angst where Lucy dies and Natsu’s left to grieve bc he’d simply kill himself. All of his “you don’t die for your friends, you live for them” moral would go out the window. He can’t see a life without Lucy — even if he wouldn’t actively kill himself he’d work himself to death. He wouldn’t have boundaries, he’d just keep going until there’s nothing left of him. In fact, he’s the type of guy who would become a total villain if Lucy died. Zeref style, trying to revive her, searching for any chance to get her back. When she’s still alive he thinks he’s above Zeref’s life choices — he thinks he would cope better than he did. But history repeats itself. Lucy dies and Natsu’s voice of reason dies with her.
On a moshang kick but there's just something extremely compelling about the idea of Mobei Jun spending years expecting Shang Qinghua to betray him, getting impatient waiting for the axe to drop, deliberately creating opportunities for Shang Qinghua to betray him, still no betrayal happens, until eventually it gets to the point where Shang Qinghua has like, the fantastical demon king equivalent of Mobei Jun's credit card numbers and a joint account and free access to his bedroom and food and a great big cabinet full of poison and his detailed schedule and the exact time when he'll be bathing naked with no weapons under the moonlight at the one time every five years when all ice demons temporarily lose their powers for a full night and etc etc. Mobei Jun is doing trust falls (even though he doesn't know it) but Shang Qinghua just keeps catching him.
Until the whole lack of explicit communication and cultural differences thing explodes, and even then the big betrayal that finally happens is that Shang Qinghua saves Mobei Jun's life but then LEAVES HIM, he GOES AWAY, he doesn't even push Mobei into his own metaphorical abyss he just goes "this isn't worth putting up with anymore" and forces Mobei Jun to confront the fact that in his determination to be reassured he actually failed to prove himself to Shang Qinghua in return, which reduces Mobei Jun to a shattered wreck struggling to figure out how to fix it.
She answers his question. He asks her if she’ll ever fall inlove with him. It’s an insult to her. Oh, if you ask this, then can you remove the tree where you carved our bed? No you can’t. You can never do that, unless you took a knife and carved it out of its hold. Then why do you ask me such a stupid question? Can you tell I’m going insane with this song????
will was so lucky elizabeth went to shipwreck cove in awe tbh you know damn well that compass would never point at literally anything else when he's holding it
Sub au of my Danny as Talia au. Danny leaves League when they're pregnant with Damien but not to go to live with Bruce but just leaves. Bruce and Danny get into a fight before Danny can really say anything about them being pregnant. In this AU Damian is conceived while Bruce is training with League of Assassins before he becomes Batman. So Bruce has also finished his training and he leaves to go back to Gotham.
The normal Canon happens but instead of Damien being sent to Bruce because of the league, they find out after Tim meets Damian at school.there is a Buddy program that goes on that both of their grades are doing and Tim and Damien get teamed up. Damian canonically looks a lot like Bruce so I'm imagining Tim just taking a double take.
Danny and Damien used to travel a lot when they were younger to keep the league off of their Trail but later settle in Gotham because the league isn't allowed there anymore without angering Batman and to let Damien have some of his Heritage to his father.
When Bruce finds out that Damian is their kid and the fact that Talia left the league, he is instantly at that house and begging to be able to help raise his kid. When Bruce does the digging that Talia has not been killing anyone or even doing assassin things, Danny is just doing info brokening, he is really happy.
When Bruce introduces the family to Talia only Alfred knows that she used to be an assassin. As far as the kids are aware this is one of his socialite exes. Danny has trained Damien with a lot of League skills but not any of The Killing just self-defense. Danny has also told Damian that his father is Batman but neither Bruce nor the kids know that. all of the family is trying to keep a secret from their new youngest well Damian is telling his mother stories of the family coming up with the most ridiculous excuses.
Ignore how the timeline probably doesn’t make any sense at all
Recently, Damian has heard discussion among some other League of Assassins members about their newest prisoner of interest, the kidnapped Batson boy.
Additionally, Damian knows that he is the Son of the Bat.
The conclusion is obvious.
Their new captive clearly must be his brother (or, well, at least his half brother).
So he goes to see him, and that assumption is only reinforced. Their appearances are remarkably similar, and the other boy had already demonstrated his competence by escaping his cell on his own.
Which he guessed means he’s obligated to help the other boy (his brother!) escape.
…
Billy has no idea what to make of his new… ally? When he’d first crossed paths with the other boy, Billy had internally swore about his bad luck. The assassin boy was going to raise the alarm, and he’d be forced to improvise and quite possibly risk reveal his Captain Marvel powers just to make it out alive.
But then the other boy—Damian, he’d introduced himself as—had shattered those explanations by declaring that he knew they were brothers because they were both sons of Batman, and that it was his brotherly duty to help him escape.
And while the connection thing is just entirely false on Billy’s side of things (“Batson” is just his last name, not an epithet!), he wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth. For the time being, he’ll play along and make use of the help his “brother” offered.
Hopefully that lie won’t come back to bite him later. Or if it does, that it’ll be when he’s in a slightly less precarious position.
*slides an idea under your door*
Captain Marvel accidentaly convincing people that he's a widowers
*runs away*
Captain Marvel is a widower. It makes sense. He wears a ring(ref to my Accessories post), he always gets sad on a certain day, and anytime romance is offered he immediately shies away from it. Now, the JL or civilians don’t know this but the ring thing is just a memento to his father, he just gets sad on that day cause it’s their death day, and he thinks romance is icky. But Billy’s not going to tell them any of that. Not because he doesn’t want to. No, he just doesn’t even know they think he’s a widower. Even if Billy did know though, after the amount of certain things he’s said, he doesn’t think he could convince him that isn’t a widower.
Marvel and Junior: *arguing*
Junior: “Yeah, well boo-hoo you’re motherless!”
Supes: *nearby, gasps because he thinks Junior just reminded his father of his dead mother*
Marvel: “Wha- You’re motherless too?!”
Supes: *double gasps because he thinks Marvel just confirmed his wife was dead because everyone thinks Junior is his kid*
He told everyone that the Widower Marvel theory was true and now confirmed.

On the anniversary of their parents’ deaths, Mary’s feeling a little upset.
Marvel: “Oh, I’m sorry Mary. I… know today is tough especially considering it’s the anniversary of that day.”
Mary: *tearing up slightly but trying to hide it*
Marvel: *kneels down looking like a proper father* “But, I want you to know that if you feel upset, you can always come to me. We can mourn together. That’s better than doing it alone, isn’t it?
Mary: *getting flashbacks from how their dad would also kneel down to comfort them which only makes her wanna cry more* “Yeah, okay.”
Wondy: *just happened to see this happening and thinks this is both simultaneously adorable and heartbreaking*

Junior and Marvel were in a rec room looking at a dress they’d placed on a table. They were arguing which one of them should wear it because they needed one of them needed to shapeshift into a girl for something stupid they planned to do later.
Marvel and Junior: *still arguing*
Flash: *walked in and sees the dress* “Who’s dress is that?”
Marvel: *startles and is trying to come up with an excuse for why a grown man and a somewhat little boy have a dress* “This uh…”
Junior: *wants to stir up some drama* “His wife. This dress belonged to his wife.”
Marvel: “Yeah, my wife- WAIT MY WHAT?”
Junior: “Me and Mary’s mom remember? The woman you married?” *does a little winky wink to convey that he wants him to go along with it*
Marvel: *gives him the most scandalized look*
Flash: *thinks the scandal is just him being upset that Junior is sharing something about their civilian lives* “Oh I see… uh my bad for intruding on your mourning…?”
Marvel and Junior: *in unison* “What?”
