Jack: ...Hi
Fandom: WHAT DOES THAT MEAN! IT'S A HINT! SIGN OF ANTI!!!!
JSE: zalgo text, missing egos, everything’s on fire, F E A R
Markiplier: THEDOORTHEDOORTHEDOORTHEFUCKINGDOOR WE ARE ALL DYING WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED
Thomas Sanders: ok but what other flavours of deodorant does Remus eat? Would he eat the good smelling kind or is it all just badness?
Disclaimer; I don’t actually believe Jack is diagnosed/has this mental disorder, this is just a theory and is not meant to be taken seriously.
Multiple-Personality Disorder; A rare dissociative disorder in which two or more personalities with distinct memories and behavior patterns apparently exist in one individual, otherwise known as Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Chase Brody, Antisepticeye, Dr. Shneeplestien, Marvin the Magnificant, and Jackaboy Man. These beloved alter egos belonging to a man near and dear to all our hearts, Jacksepticeye.
Have you ever noticed how easy it is for Seán to switch between characters? Maybe he isn’t doing it on purpose. Maybe these alters are created to get him through things.
Chase Brody, fun loving and energetic, possibly an alter meant to get him through hard times
Zen good doctah, comes around when Jack decides to play games involving medical situations. Jack doesn’t know how to do these things, but Shneep thinks he does, so he takes over.
Anti, an alter who possibly acts as an embodiment of pain and the lack of control Jack feels in his life.
Marvin the Magnificent, maybe meant to give Seán that feeling of control he needs through magic.
Jackaboy Man. Meant to help Jack feel like he really is saving his fans, because I don’t know about Jack, but if a whole bunch of people said I saved their lives, I’d be worried that I would mess something up they would stop feeling better by watching me.
But yeah, that’s my theory. I know it was short, but I’m not very educated on the topic, so yeah. Hope you all like this, and remember that this is not meant to be taken seriously.
So time is broken right?
Jack recently said this and it got me thinking;
So hear me out….
Anti is Chase
I know I’m smoking
But time is broke according to Jack?
What if Anti is Chase after his kids and wife mysteriously disappear.
Anti knows what Chase is going through and knows he’s going to be miserable with there still being a chance of him getting his kids back
So Anti, wanting Chase (also known as him), to be strong and powerful
Anti takes his kids to send Chase down the path of becoming the virus i.e killing Jack
Basically Antispeticeye is what Chase Brody will turn into without his kids….
@therealjacksepticeye
if thats the case, then he's a Anti-Villain
I’m not sure if there’s a post like this already so I’m sorry if this is repetitive, but I’ve been giving this some thought lately, specially now with this:
One thing I always look for in a villain/antagonist is their motivations and their plan of action in accordance to them.
Whether it’s the trope of ‘doing bad deeds for “good” reasons’ (e.g. The Vulture, Wilson Fisk, Negan, Thanos, Killmonger) or ‘doing “good” things for the “best” reasons (e.g. Claude Frollo, Mother Gothel) OR ‘doing everything to benefit myself’ (e.g. Kilgrave, Cruella de Vil, Firelord Ozai, Moriarty), O R ‘doing things with the intent of destroying the concept of good and bad deeds/reasons’ (e.g. Hannibal, The Joker), being able to feel as though the trope is natural for the villain themselves is what’s important to me.
Which brings me to the topic of Antisepticeye.
Again, these are just my thoughts so I’d very much like to hear anybody else’s as well. :)
Personally, with how Jack’s chosen to progress Anti’s storyline (which is by delving into the other egos’ storylines), I think Anti’s one true goal from the very beginning is to get rid of the other egos in an attempt to cleanse Jack of their natures, not because he seeks to control Jack, but to grant Jack more control of himself.
From the very beginning, Anti has done nothing but threaten either the viewers or the egos of his presence, especially with his first real appearance in Say Goodbye. I remember this is where the evil-demonic-entity-possession idea came to be (which I still love <3) but when I look at how he holds himself here NOW, especially with THIS line:
I think it’s possible that he’s not saying Jack’s body was weak as an insult to Jack himself, but I think it’s an insult to us.
Imagine if you had a really REALLY close friend, who was kind and caring but tends to overwork themselves for the sake of people who believe in them. You understand their point of view, telling you that this is what makes them happy, but you also know that nothing good comes from overworking so you stick by their side, placing your faith in them to know their limits.
But then they reach their limits, but still push on. They tire themselves, strain themselves to the core, while you watch the very same people who believe in your friend show no sign of noticing, no sign of caring, and even worse, pushing your friend even MORE out of his limit. And one day you say no, shut up, you’re wrong, THAT’S ENOUGH.
Now look at this scene again, with that context:
The fact that his face is showing anger at the viewer instead of triumph over what can be assumed as a victory feels much more natural now. He glitches into a smile for a second yes, but think of it as a cynical smile. “He thinks they actually care. You all think you care? YOU THINK YOU CARE?? I WOULDN’T BE HERE IF YOU DID. HIS BODY WAS WEAK AND YOU LET IT HAPPEN. YOU WANTED THIS.”
Hell, even stabbing the pumpkin representing Jack’s gift to us (or maybe just us in particular) is the cherry on top.
In fact, if there is a masterpost of ALL of Anti’s appearances (which I’m sure there is), try looking at them in this context as well. And heck, this is probably really grasping at straws but by the end of 2017 Jack has mentioned time and time again that he had gone in his own spiral of depression, one that he had slowly but surely worked through thank fuck. And around the time, I think most of the egos had started to disappear. Then came the start of 2018 and without the egos, Jack has been much more positive than he was before. HECK, PMA.
The fact that this Anti story and Jack’s own personal life can get subtly interwoven like this is pretty fucking amazing, but if it wasn’t and was just a coincidence then whoops. :)
So overall, I think Anti thinks we don’t deserve Jack. His time, his efforts, EVERYTHING. There might’ve been a time when he did, especially since it was thanks to the community that Anti came to be, but then Dr. Schneeplestein happened, then Marvin, then on and on the new egos came to be and on and on the weight on Jack’s shoulders grew. Jack became more Jacksepticeye than Sean McLoughlin, so what did Anti do? What was the only thing he could do?
Or more specifically, what is an antiseptic suppose to do?
TL;DR: I think Anti, at his core, is an Antivirus. He detects the threats to Jack’s well-being, and he thinks the other egos are exactly that. So he tries to get rid of them all AND the memories that come with them. This leads to Jack being in a comatose state, but a safe mode state, and he continues his mission while he sleeps.
But now that most of said threats have already been “quarantined”, all that’s left to do to make sure that any copies or connection attempts from outside fores (us) to the egos do NOT pass. And what better way to do this other than upgrading into a firewall?
So does this mean Anti falls under the trope of “doing bad things for good reasons”? Honestly, I don’t think so, at least not entirely. It could be argued that his true goal is simply self-preservation. To get rid of the egos not for Jack’s sake, but for his. To come back to the state of mind where it was just the two of them, where at least it was somewhat peaceful.
But that’s just a theory. I’d love to learn more. <3
@markired @fear-is-nameless @lum1natrix @stilinskidetectiveagency (i didn’t know who to tag i’m sorry OTL)
Also, maybe Anti is a Time Traveler... Who can travel between timeline, but he travelled so much, his brain starts to corrupt, and technologies cannot handle his presence anymore... And thus, he sees all timelines, and intervenes all of them... Which is why Time is Broken... Cause, in his eyes, it is broken, he led to the consequence of too much Time Travel
Before I start this rant I think as a community we need to start mapping out a timeline of all the things that have happened so far.
So with the Umfend vid came two camera glitches that killed the entire community because it came LITERALLY DAYS after jack tells us Anti stuff is gonna be next year, like shit man give me a break. But this is about a theory about the horror and different themes in the game that give me Anti vibes but also some big ideas.
Alternate timelines.
think about it, i’m not completely sure but everyone seems to remember jack being killed in the ‘Say Goodbye’ vid…..but then again in ‘Kill Jacksepticeye’?? and now he’s in a coma? alive again??? correct me if I’m wrong and that’s not what happened and I missed something.
Another thing in Umfend was about Anita being split into so many timelines that it turned her into a weird glitchy mess (like Anti) and of course the character you’re playing as, has forgotten everything. (LIKE JACK HAS SEEMINGLY FORGOT EVERYTHING)
so, to expand. Maybe jack died differently in different timelines. Maybe Jack DID fall into a coma in one timeline. Maybe he’s alive and awake in another timeline. I still firmly believe that Jackie is the friend Chase was talking about being in coma not Jack, but that could also be a different timeline. (check out @wishthefish916 for more on that). Because TIME IS BROKEN.
Maybe Marvin messed with timetravel/AUs and created this huge glitched mess. Maybe Anti is an amalgamation of all the other egos. That could explain JJ and his out of place time period compared to the others and the weird glitches that happened to him. As a result of going to far with the alternate universes, JJ is the newest ego. kinda like it gets worse every time a new timeline is created. (idk if this makes sense.)
What if all the egos are the same person from different timelines.
(ik this thing is really rough and has a lot of plot-holes, but i would love to see you guys to expand upon this and fix it up)
I couldn’t get this idea out of my head, so did what I do best and drew it messily! :D
Here’s the “periodic table” everyone has been talking about.
Marvin took notes on the Durations and Procedures rows and the entire top page of the table.
Since I’m stuck in quarantine and my entire states in lockdown and I really have nothing better to do. I am going to make it a goal of mine to take a screenshot of EVERY Anti glitch (as in actual Anti showing up), from SL 1 to whatever video I land on when this ends.
So without further ado in no particular order-
In conclusion SL 1 Anti is very screamy and very smirky.
(course, I’m not perfect, so if there’s a screenshot you think I missed don’t hesitate to give me something)

Maybe its not a memory at all, maybe its Anti entering in Chase's dream
Theory: Dark Silence -> Stories Untold - Chapter 4
So, anyone else think that what we saw in Dark Silence is what Jack/Chase’s nightmare/memory was about?
Remember when Chase suddenly got transported to the parking garage?
And then Marvin saw Anti and Chase together in the car when he was looking into his crystal ball?
What if Marvin WAS actually the one that teleported Chase hours into the future in a safer location to prevent Anti from trying to get to him?
Edit: AND TO ADD TO THAT, MARVIN IS ALSO TRYING TO DISCOVER TIME TRAVEL. HE MUST’VE FOUND A WAY TO SEND CHASE A FEW HOURS INTO THE FUTURE.
