Mary hated Lily at the start of Hogwarts because Lily was friends with Snape, and he was everything that her ancestors had fought against.

We as a fandom don't explore the idea of the marauder's bullying Sirius for being French as much as we need to

Evan is deaf in one ear cause he tried to cut it off-he wanted the pain from the future to stop screaming at him

The Marauders meeting as a whole group for the in nearly twenty years right after Remus dies and there all having this heartfelt moment until Peter walks in across the room.

And instantly Sirius loses it. Wants to go up to him and fight him and Remus and James have to physically restrain him because he's saying "I'm already dead. The little rat can't kill me again."

And Peter obviously hears this. He kinda shrinks into himself because Sirius could hurt him even without magic, but that's not why he walks away. Not why he gets scared shitless.

He walks away because of the second pair of grey eyes that stand next to James. He gets scared as he remembers the threats given to him by the youngest black brother.

"You betray them, Pettigrew, and I will kill you. I don't care that you're a pureblood, or that your a spy for us. He treats you like a brother, and if you throw that away It'll be your own life your ending."t

At the time Peter assumed he was talking about James. But now, with the look Regulus is giving him from across the room, as Sirius thrashes against the arms of his best friends, he knows who he was truly talking about.

I needed to represent this moment because I think we don’t talk enough about how heartbreaking this night was for Lupin.

That night, the wounds of the war reopened. His world crumbled at his feet, and everything he believed to be true turned out to be a lie. my favorite version of "sirius finding out about jegulus" is when sirius is worried james (who he views as the straightest person on earth) sees regulus as a girl only to find out that james affirms regulus's identity more than anyone. especially if it involves james and sirius rescuing regulus from grimmauld, and especially especially if this rescue involves sirius and james seeing regulus in a ballgown. what can i say, i have very specific tastes

Genuinely one of my favorite things about the maruaders fandom that is widely agreed upon:

Regulus is trans. Everyone assumes Remus is trans because werewolf behavior can look suspiciously similar to having a period. Shenanigans ensue:

*During 1st Year*

Sirius: *discreetly giving Remus chocolate during his time of the month*

Remus, in his head: HOW DOES HE KNOW? HOW DOES HE KNOW I'M A WEREWOLF? HOW DOES HE KNOW CHOCOLATE HELPS? WHY IS HE NOT SAYING ANYTHING? WHAT IS HAPPENING?

*Quidditch Locker Room*

Marlene: FUCK!

Sirius: What's wrong?

Marlene: I started my period and don't have anything on me!

James, who started carrying extras because he's a mom friend: Oh, here you go.

Marlene: *intensely stares at them* Okay if James carries the tampons and Remus is the one who uses them, why the FUCK is Sirius named Pads???

James: I. . .what?

Sirius: Abort Prongs. There's no right answer to this one.

*During a Study Session*

Regulus: Ugh, I'm so jealous of you sometimes Lupin.

Remus "Low Self-Esteem" Lupin: Why?

Reg: It's just that. . .well, if your mood is any indication, your time of the month is so CONSISTENT! Like, every 28 days like clockwork. You've never had 2 in one month or anything!

Remus, in his head: . . .is. . .is Regulus a werewolf too? Is this how Sirius was so accepting?

Remus out loud: You get it TWICE sometimes, how is that even possible?

Reg: I know right, it's so unfair!

Regulus: . . .

Peter: . . .

Regulus: So is there a REASON you've been stalking me or---

Peter: Are you a werewolf?

Reg: The fuck? No? Why---

Peter: KAY THANKS BYE!

*later*

Remus: oh my God Peter I didn't mean ASK HIM

Peter: Well how the fuck else was I supposed to find out?

Sirius getting in trouble and McGonagall not calling his parents because Sirius was disowned, but also not calling the Potters because they had to take care of talking to James.

So, she decides to bring Regulus to her office and just let him yell at Sirius.

Evan who is quiet around everyone BUT Barty

Barty who is loud around everyone BUT Evan

Evan gets to talk without fear of being annoying or talked over, and Barty gets to sit and listen without feeling the need to be the center of attention.

They both are enough for the other

Remus Lupin, who's hard of hearing but can't afford hearing aids always has to ask people to slow down or write what they're saying because most students don't know sign language.

Regulus Black, who's selectively mute and communicates mostly with sign language.

Regulus is going down to the medical wing to get a potion for Evan. He froze, seeing Remus, talking(?) to Pomfrey in sign language. Remus notices him, standing there frozen. He speaks up, “You alright there, mate?”

Regulus blinks, snapping out of his trance and nods, crossing over to Pomfrey, and signing, “I need a Pepperup for Evan”

“Of course, dear. One moment.” Pomfrey responds, walking off to get the potion.

Once she is out of view, Remus turns around to face Regulus, then signs to him, “You know sign?”

Regulus nods, “Yes, I do.” he signs in reply.

And that is how their friendship started.

Young regulus who had awful separation anxiety when it came to Sirius.

Cut to many of years later when Regulus has to call Harry, his boyfriend’s (of 2 years) 6 year old son, each night to tell him a bedtime story while on a business trip.

Sirius thinks this type of karma is hilarious

honestly love being in the marauders fandom, there are so many talented creators, especially fic writers. like i read popular fics from another fandom, and it just does not hit as hard as the masterpieces yall create over here. other ppl are getting emotional over stuff, and i don’t even bat an eye bc of the absolute tragedies the marauders have put me thru.

barty and evan got a black cat after regulus died and named it 'leo' as in the leo constellation

you know the marauders brainrot is bad whenever you see anything red and green together and immediately think of ahb instead of christmas..

headcanon that sometimes if remus had a visible scar from the full moon, the other marauders faked similar injuries so remus wouldn’t stand out and be suspected

Okay 6th year gryffindors learning the patronus charm and James is one of the first to get it (after Lily and Sirius, remus found an excuse to sit it out bc he didn't want to risk the class seeing a wolf and putting things together). They've already done the theory so they know the whole 'reflective of your soul' or 'changes to represent a loved one, especially if they are your happiest memory' and when they eventually manage corporeal patronuses, James' happens to be a lion.

A big, prowling, majestic lion. Most of the room are impressed and a little jealous but not too shocked by it, they automatically assume that it's the animal which most resembles him because...gryffindor lion. It doesn't get much more James potter than that. But his group are very confused. Patronuses were supposed to match animagi and they'd already managed that one, so they had silently accepted that it would be a stag. So when it isn't, they have to hide their shock. They sort of brush it off after a while because James is similar to a lion so maybe it's just something to do with strength in the memory he chose?

But James knew the second the lion looked at him that it wasn't his animal. He would always be a stag, he knew that much for sure. This was Regulus. Cor Leonis. The lion, brave, strong, and powerful but cowering behind the powerful women in his life and 'lazily' biding his time until he has no choice but to do something. More importantly, James loved him, and nobody was supposed to know. His patronus has shifted from a stag- prideful and representative of James as an individual- to a lion- a symbol of his love, power and courage. And he is the only one that knows.

evan likes to play with barty's hair—pulling strands of it upward. barty never fixes it after, which is why his hairstyle looks messy, sticking up in every direction. despite that, he doesn't mind because he still looks hot in it—he thinks he's evan's hot mess.

Sirius being absolutely obsessed with Remus and Remus worshipping every breath Sirius takes is my favorite Wolfstar dynamic.
