Once Tommy let it be known he was relieved that one of the most important people in Buck's life was gone I think it was confirmed to the audience that Buck and Tommy would never be endgame

If I had a nickel for every time I've had a gay ship in a TV show in which one of them was an army doctor that served in Afghanistan who got shot in the shoulder, got stuck in a well, got married and had a child but then lost his wife, and the other one had curly hair and blue eyes and a secret middle sibling they didn't know about until later in life and they were best friends who were introduced by someone else and coparented the former army doctor's kid and have been mistaken for a couple several times, I'd have two nickels.
